The customer service representative was awesome. She was very pleasant. Had a great conversation about travel experiences. Went above and beyond to make sure I had the proper insurance coverage for my four month trip. This is the type of insurance provider one should be doing business with if traveling for long periods of time. They have plans to accommodate expats and backpacker's. When traveling for long periods of time, having an insurance company that really understands that type of customers needs is valuable. Buying some generic plan from a bank or other entity where the representative really doesn't understand insurance needs beyond going on a week long resort vacation could come back and bite you.

In 2019, I opted for Destination Canada visitor travel insurance for my parents, which was reasonably priced in comparison to other options. This insurance plan covered all the expenses for my mother's timely visit to the emergency room. I had a hassle-free payment experience, and the communication process was smooth. Additionally, the customer service provided by the company was excellent.

Worst experience. I had to take my Dad for emergency for an eye problem and had to stay for 2 days in the intensive care. Its been more than 4 months. They didnt settle the payment yet. Whenever I call they are saying they are negotiating with the hospital. The entire purpose of taking travel insurance is that if there is an emergency we are covered but so far we didnt get the claim and the hospital sending us invoice. I might have to see a lawyer and see what are my options.
