Every cup here is well crafted. Flavour profile of flat whites are out of this world. Pastries are made FRESH everyday, multiple times, using real ingredients.

Great coffee! Baristas are so welcoming and helpful, beautiful location no matter the season.

Good coffee and good bread. Atmosphere is also very nice. Service can be slow so I would recommend avoiding peak hours.

It was too noisy inside. The outside patio is nice and cozy. Portion size was generous. Service was really good; they have an efficient system. Coffee was well-balanced with a nice aftertaste. Would recommend the pulled pork sandwich.

I picked up a very nice loaf of bread, and some very nice scones here. It’s a very neat little place.

Quite a popular place! It was busy when we went so we took our treats to go. But nice atmosphere, VERY friendly and professional staff, lovely to have an oat milk option. I had a tasty decaf Americano and a chocolate chunk cookie. Just divine.

A neat little neighbourhood café with a large patio. Ordered an Iced Latte - which was 50 cents more than the hot one for some reason - and it was enjoyable. The cafe also features a good selection of coffee and breakfast options, alongside a mini in-cafe bakery. But the best part of the place is the atmosphere, getting to enjoy a nice cup of coffee in the patio was a delightful experience.

The Americano was delicious, and the only saving grace. I heard a wait staff rudely make fun of a customer right on front of me, there was a $13 piece of avocado toast on the menu, the whole vibe was snobby and "we are so cool".

Coffee is terrific and the outdoor patio is a little oasis space. Had brunch here and really enjoyed the French toast (their bread is excellent). Donut for dessert was nice and light as well. Definitely worth it for a coffee or breakfast

Great coffee, great sourdough bread, can purchase a loaf. Great breakfast options. Amazing patio, great service. Im not really sure how this place can receive anything under 5/5. Especially for the area, as nothing comes close to competing.

Oh mmmyyyy this is one of the cutest places everthey didn't have many drink flavorings and was overpriced but so so good!

The vibe is very laid back. We sat the seats by window and enjoyed watching people on the street, felt like in a small town in Europe. Coffee tasted good but did not try the desserts this time. Will try next time!

It was a great place to go after Good Friday service. It was quite busy but the line was quite long. Even with a long line we moved quickly.
The coffee was great and scones delicious.

Im such a fan! So much to love in a small package- coffee roaster, cafe, little patio for lunch. Where to start?

They source, roast and sell single origin beans as well as their own tasty blends. They carry naturally processed beans too. I'm loving the selection so far, though I'm only beginning to work my way through it. The baristas are skilled, shots are very well pulled, beverages are very tasty and nicely presented.

Today we stopped for lunch. I had the chicken salad; gorgeous greens, apple slices, spiced sliced nuts with poached chicken- which was simple and refreshing. My partner had the grilled veggie sandwich, which was rich and tasty. Eggplant and sweet potatoes shone through, and the sourdough it was on was excellent- beautifully caramelized chewiness on the crust while the bread inside was super soft and nicely sourdough tangy.

We also tried the coffee cake, which was delicious. Setting was pretty and well shaded (good enough even on this 34 degree day), service was knowledgable and friendly.

We intend to return!

Stopped by this morning to grab some breakfast. All the food was super tasty, especially all the fun donuts and other baked goods they have to offer!

I really fell in love with this spot because of the fantastic service though. My partner and I were both made to feel so comfortable and it genuinely felt like we were being taking care of by a best friend or that one cool aunt that we all know and love. Both servers were generous and attentive, and offered plenty of insight into the menu offerings. We were definitely feeling the love in a major way and we haven’t stopped talking about our experience since. I’m super grateful to have had the opportunity to pop by and I’m already looking forward to my next visit

We’ve been going to Detour for lunch for a while now and would highly recommend it. The food is excellent, the service is fast and friendly and, best of all, it’s a dog friendly patio where the staff treat our dog with a lot of love and affection.

we dropped by to get coffee and surprisingly I saw they are selling sourdough breads - they are nicely baked. I ordered one and it was GOOD!

Cycling from Mississauga to Dundas with a friend and we stopped at Detour for a coffee break. After a prolonged wait we were served and took our coffees to the outside patio seating area. Halfway through our stay we were asked to leave. They told us the table was reserved, though no reserve sign was on the table. Our refusal to leave was escalated to the manager who was more direct, no apology for the confusion on their part, just asked to leave. I asked them to call the police. This happened pre covid, in early 2018, before The Domestique opened!

My favorite coffee shop ever.i moved to Waterdown a year ago but come back to dundas for Detour coffee. The staff and quality of products are great!

Decent enough place, love the breads and products they have out front, as well as any food I've tried, but not the biggest fan of their coffee. Decided to try some of their beans at home and informed them it was for a pour over, unfortunately it was ground too fine, resulting in a less than optimal coffee.
Still better than going to Starbucks.

This place surely deserves a 5 star rating. Staff is excellent, very friendly very accommodating. Beans are fresh and coffee tastes superb. It was my first time at this place and surely not the last. I will go again to buy the beans and get a cup of Joe. I definitely recommend this little joint in downtown Dundas. Jem of a place!

Lost my order for my café. Over a week and still no answer from the company. Avoid at all costs. This company has changed ownership and quality has gone down hill, aand now they lose their orders.

I loved this place. The coffee was fantastic and the Apricot Grainfree Coffeecake was delicious - twice. The service was also great. Cozy spot for a cold Sunday afternoon to make you forget about ghe upcoming Monday.

I actually never been but after watching again the first movie of the good witch I’ve just realised this is or at least was the outside of Bell, Book & Candle. I think you guys should make sure people know about it! It’s awesome, and if I’m ever in that part of the world I’ll 100% be coming!

This site is my number one place. Of all restaurants I know I like it most. I always suggests to my friends to go to visit this place. Whenever I I need a good supper, this place comes right away to my mind.outstanding and many types of food and a rich menu.great staff, and nice ambience. My one of favorite coffee shop! Love this place and coffee so much. The space is a bit small but love the design and it was very cozy. I had salmon open sandwich and it was great:)

The location is beautiful the staff were friendly and intellectual and they kept the line moving even though it was packed which to be honest made my heart happy to see and the clientele were friendly

This local Dundas place is amazing in every way. The brownies are awesome as well as the other sweets, the breakfast and lunch menus yummy, they have fresh bread loafs for sale from Dear Grain, gift ideas, friendly staff. The outdoor patio during great weather is best in the city. It's been renovated to accommodate more patrons, service is always quick. I often get the Irish Breakfast tea with steamed milk or cream and a treat. It's a bit more expensive than some places but completely worth it!

I love supporting fellow small businesses doing #Wholesome things in the world.

The branding is beautiful, the website is beautiful, the story of how the owners want to bring traditional bread baking back, the service at the bakery and what they produce is all well worth supporting.

I had an Awesome coffee and a delicious muffin, overlooking the street, people watching for a short time.

You won't be disappointed.

Drove in on a recommendation for great coffee. I have to say the freshly ground coffee was a nice smell upon arrival. Parking is available on the street if you can on dropping in too. So bring some loose change to take care of the metre. Ok back to the coffee. I chose an Americano for this order. Impressed. I ordered and they brought it to the table. There is just enough seating and seemed to be a quiet space if you ever needed a spot to work on a laptop away from the office. There’s also an outdoor patio if you wanted some fresh air. So overall on my first visit I’m impressed and I’ll likely be back during the fall for another cup before heading out to shoot those fall colours. @StephenWelton IG. Quaint & intimate café in the heart of Downtown Dundas. I had an amazing flat white with beautiful crema artwork. Truly talented and friendly baristas and delicious pastries!

Great ambience, food, coffee and bread. Been here twice and plan to come back again and again. Great find.

Ok let's say I am a bit biased because I frequented the original Detour faithfully for years went away for the winter and came back to a shockingly different decor and dining experience I loved the rich woody hues and the homey atmosphere but heh life rarely stands still and I will always give new a chance That said the food is good and the coffee addictive. But the system for getting a seat is needlessly stressful and at times verging on combative. I understand that it's trendy to have people milling about waiting for a place to open up but why not just take the customer's phone number and let them do some shopping while they wait for a seat That system used to work so well in the original Detour Now I can't bring myself to go to Detour or will I risk meeting friends there for fear we'll have to fight for a seat or end up milling about getting in people's way

One of our favourite coffee places in the area. Great coffee, eats and service. They have a lovely patio in the summer. Just wish there was more table tables inside - I can get busy.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. I ordered a large coffee and an orange juice and it came to $8.50. I'm a double double guy. I had to use 9 sugar packs and still could have used another. I'm sure their coffee appeals to some people. Just not me, unfortunately

Went there yesterday. Waited over five minutes at the counter. No response from anyone. Not even an acknowledgment that they would be a minute. Was I older and not trendy enough. I said excuse me twice and was ignored. Left and went to Starbucks where they were
Cheery, called me by name several times and had a smile and a great coffee.

Renovations are great, coffee and food are excellent as well. Price is a bit high but a great place in Dundas.
