So beautiful here! A simple little walk gets you to a spectacular lookout in about 5 minutes. There are Bruce trail hikes here and lots to see during every season

Great hike, parking off 124 can be limited. Parking in Decks Glen ski club in the summer months can be an option as well

This was one of our favourite hikes. So many trails but not the easiest. Great views from the top of the ski hill!

The hiking trail is not an easy one, especially on the way back. But it's very rewarding! I've gone here twice in the next 10 months and I've enjoyed it every time. It's a great feeling to see your stamina growing over time!:)

Devil's glen is an awesome place to climb. It's mostly in the shade which is good for summer, however, since a lot of the climbs are in gulleys the water seepage can take time to dry. It's only about 1.5 hours from Toronto and there's always enough parking. Climbs are in every grade

The trail is well marked for the most part, there are sections that we used the GPS to keep us on track. For the body part it wasn't difficult, it is muddy along the west side of the trail. The climb back to the parking lot was the most challenging.

Beautiful trail. Can be muddy during the spring and fall. Also gets busy during weekend mainly in the early aft

This trek is not for the faint hearted.especially if you don’t have good trekking boots? (no joke)
There’s a small parking space outside the park and if you go straight as you enter the park you’ll see a fascinating beautiful gorge.
Coming back to the trek part, it’s a steep trek and moderate in intensity. The trail is developed with minimal disturbance to the forest (exactly how it should be) and provides for a great cardio. It’s humbling to say the least with steep slopes and a marshy patch just before the Mad River where you’ll be pretty much stone hopping. The vista at the end of the trek is worth the hop-and-marsh but a word of caution - it can get slippery during rains and early Spring when the snow is melting. During summers it’s a paradise of its own
It’s worth the hype and definitely a Hidden Gem!
We packed some drinking water and a couple of sandwiches with us and made a small picnic out of it right in front of the river. There are no garbage bins in the park so if you bring a picnic too please take the cups and disposables back with you.
Enjoy! #madriver #SimcoeCounty #picnic #BruceTrail

Such a beautiful place! You won't regret it at all! We went at the beginning of fall and i bet the middle of October will be stunning!

Probably 2 hours from Toronto!

Note! The parking lot is a very weird and small place at the entrance. There is no actual sign saying where you can park. (couple photos below)

There is a fantastic look out that is absoluting breathtaking. Hard to believe you are in Ontario. Not much of a hike to arrive at the viewing platform which oversees a 500+ metre view of the Niagara Escarpment. There's a lower gorge hike that I haven't done yet, as it appears to require a good day and plenty of energy to enjoy. It's peaceful and not many people visit. Making it a great spot to meditate and enjoy some personal cannabis.

If you're doing the loop it can be hard to follow, but the views are spectacular and the walk itself was very rewarding.

This is unmonitored provincial park. Only have one hiking trail. Which is 10 km long. There are some very steep climb to the hills and in rainy season it will be quite slippery as well. Mad river is one of beauty of this park. If you are planning for hiking here, prepare yourself well with good hiking boots. We did only 3 km of the trail and then returned back. There is lookout points whatsoever. Neither there are any specific spot for astonishing scenic spots.

Devil's Glen Trail starts off with a steep decline of stairs and rocky terrain. Then the trail leads you through rivers, ponds, fields and forest. The trail itself has many steep inclines so not really for those with poor stamina. Doubles as a ski area during the winter.
