Old people should be retired, sitting in their houses, not trying to figure out new technology. I came here at 6: 30 to send a package, lady at reception wasted my 1 hour. At automated system I get the price of $295. She got me quote for $800. I had to repeat everything so many times. I request to management, please look after these issues. Please hire smart and educated people for these positions.

Worst experience, they stuck my courier and did not hand over to me until I reached out the customs clearance and did my courier claim. Never going to suggest anyone for this worst courier service from other countries. They just know to give trouble to international students.

Worst courier service ever! My package arrived at this service center since 6th July and they wont clear my package. I have provided all the papers but still nothing. Never using DHL AGAIN! Wont recommend to anyone. Choose any other courier service.

This is the 2nd time I'm facing the same issue with this company. Even though the shipment was here midweek it gets sent the next week. Even after mentioning the urgency of the shipment it gets kept on hold for no reason and if you want to update anything it takes 2 business days. This company doesn't operate on the weekend so be mindful your packages are coming next week if it says on Friday this week.
Sorry dhl but never again doing business with you guys.

To Get a hold of a human customer service agent press 0 after choosing English and listening to the fraud warning.

I've been shipping International for over 10 years, using Fed Ex, UPS, Canada Post etc. I've never had to jump through so many hoops and deal with customs issues like I did with DHL. I don't know why it is so difficult to get packages through with them specifically.

Delivery Failed. Recipient unavailable, notice left. I was home all day, and no one buzzed. I can see out the front of the building; NO one came to the building and NO notice was left. I have been waiting since before Christmas for this package from Australia. I called and the auto message said "all available are in a company-wide meeting. Goodbye" This is terrible service and reading the reviews, I'm not the first and I won't be the last poor soul who doesn't get their package because of some lazy delivery driver.

Never use this company and be mindful of companies who use them also.
They will have you waiting days for your package (work related) continually updating you that it's on its way any minute now and every day they have another excuse why it couldn't be delivered.
First; they had no buzzer number, then after pointing it out (AND its also my apt number).
Then they falsly claimed I didn't answer the door, when I was right there during the time they lied about being there.
Then; they can't send it because I now need a signature, after I took signatory off so they can leave it at my door to avoid future "failed attempts", so now I have to wait again.
Then; their "truck is having maintenance issues" so guess what?
Now, it seems my package will be available on the next delivery cycle with signature required so I guess I can't leave my apartment AGAIN!
TWO WEEKS SHIPPING PLUS FIVE DAYS+ DELIVERING, WAITING FOR A WORK PACKAGE IS RIDICULOUS!

Picked a number of boxes that were coming from the UK. There was no duty but as some of you are aware they like to charge brokerage fees for paying the HST on your behalf. DHL did call me and actually make me aware I could “self clear” the items and if so they would send the paperwork via email. I took the paperwork directly to the CBSA …paid the tax and then went right to the DHL facility (nearby) and picked up the items. They were very polite and professional about everything. So if you do have expensive items arriving you do have the “self clear” option available. For a small inexpensive shipment it might not be worth driving out to the facility to pickup

Booked an international pickup for Monday on Friday the week before. I asked if it was possible to have a smaller time frame than 7am to 7pm and was told they could do 1230pm to 530pm which I thought was great! Driver came at 930am and the package wasn't ready yet so I called to confirm that someone would be back between 1230 and 530. They didn't think so and rescheduled a pick up for the same day between 1030 and 530. When 530 came around I called and they said the package was already picked up but no one had come and the package was still waiting! They said they would send someone else out so I waited until 7pm when they stop pickups and no one showed up. I did find out I can drop the package off which saves me from wasting another day waiting!

If you want good service than please provide correct and specific information about your product, pay your duties (which goes to gov not dhl), attach paperworks and make sure you dont have anything inside which falls in Dangerous goods or restricted.
Also please use good box, 120x80x80 25KG cardboard box is limit for conveyable stuff rest can take longer and use bubble wrap if fragile.

Very awful customer service. Agents really need to learn or find some other job. His name was Arnold (customer service dept), needs to learn a lot to do his job. He thinks he can be rude and handle customer. I think he need to be educated on how to deal with customers. And I dont know what work load their drivers are having. Twice my parcel was out for delivery and not delivered because the driver was having work load. That is not load that is your job so do it.

I wish I could give one star. The delivery driver who delivers to the staples on Barton, in Hamilton, Ontario is the most incompetent delivery driver in the world.

Every single time I order off of king palms and the DHL gets the package. They never EVER come to the building.

I work from home and my buzzer is set to come to my phone. So even if I wasn't home I would get the call.

This courier has not once come to the building yet they always say they do.

"Attempted delivery but cosignee wasn't home"

They lie.

One time I took a video for an hour and a half when I waited outside because it said out for delivery. Then I get a text saying they attempted delivery. Which was a lie as I stood outside the whole time.

I do not appreciate this business lying. I do not appreciate a DELIVERY company not doing what they get paid to do.

. Which is to deliver the package TO the recipient.

The last few times I've set the package to come to staples as the delivery driver (who staples has assured me is the same person) refuses to come to my building.

He would rather say I'm not home so that my package I paid for gets sent all the way back to California.

This driver is pathetic. And when I get his first and last time I plan on filing a claim with the social tribunal.
Thanks for nothing DHL and your horrible customer service.

I look forward to using your services again, hopefully this time the person does their job.

Worst communication from brokerage department ever. I would say the worst international shipping service ever, my parcel is stuck at this facility more than last 15 days. First they failed to contact me for other required documents for clearance. After the contact was done, each and every different brokerage specialist came up with different requirements to get the clearance done. This dragged on for a week. No communication/ organization at all. Everyone gave me different response. Now they said they have expidited my parcel after they received all the documents. I think they don't understand the word "expedite" the parcel is still hanging there and clearance still has not done and no one is providing me satisfactory answer. I won't even give one star and NEVER USE this service ever again.

Due to this delay, my some stuff will be unusable and i dont know how much money loss I will face- DHL you should compensate me!

Package arrived early at my place of residence, and then the courier took it back because it was not supposed to be delivered today. Keep in mind this is after notifying me of their intended delivery, exciting me, seeing the van in the driveway, only to have them take it back and just changing its status on their tracking as "unable to deliver" (when I specified contactless delivery)

Worst service ever. Don't deal with this office! I've been waiting for my shipment 3 days. I'm sitting home and they said oh sorry we missed u, we attempted to reach you, no one even called me or pressed the buzzer code or knocked at the door. When I contacted them they were telling me to come and pick it up in their location like 1/2 an hour driving. I had very bad experience, I end up picking up my package from location near me!

They promised my package would be delivered, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Verbally promised over the phone because I kept calling back. I paid for express shipping and they will not give me my money back.

They have now, without notifying me, changed my delivery to Monday (after I have left for my trip). I would have picked up the package if they didn’t promise it would be delivered.

Rudest people I’ve had the misfortune of dealing with. They were absolutely no help when I called to ask for an update on a package that was *marked* delivered but was not received. I was sent in circles, disconnected and at one point I was even chastised by a woman who ended up just disconnecting me AGAIN. Spent almost 3 hours attempting to get anyone from here to help me before I called their international service pretending to be a business and finally got some assistance. The assistance I received? “We can’t find your package so just wait a few more days and see if it shows up” … so very helpful. Would give no stars if I could and if I’m ever given an option I will not be choosing DHL.

Ship with someone else, if possible. I have to order special baby formula and they shipped DHL. I have been waiting over a week since they claimed they attempted delivery (but there is no record of an attempt at all on cameras here). I have been lied to multiple times about delivery, then saying it’s on a truck. Every time I call they tell me something different and NO ONE is accountable for anything. Honestly if I could just go out and get other formula I would, but I CANT. I am blown away by how unprofessional, and ridiculous this entire situation and company is. Avoid at all costs.

You do not get informed of the charges "pay duties and fees". They tell you your order will be shipped to you in 1-3 businesses days which it isn't then get an email saying you need to pay. And it's not cheap. I owe an extra 156$ on-top of 330$ worth of products. If I had known how much that would cost I would not have ordered these products. Absolutely ridiculous. So I am going to the location to pick it up, which you'd think would be cheaper because Its not being shipped to my house, but apparently not. Ridiculous and does feel like a scam.

I made sure my delivery required a signature as it was an expensive item I didn't want left on the porch. DHL sent me two texts and an email to authorize no signature, and I did not change it. It was never signed for, they never knocked, and it was thrown on the porch in the most visible spot possible. Thankfully I was home at the time but no one signed for it and I paid for that security.

Deciding when they want to follow their own CBA, making employees wear masks while supervisors sit in their office with nothing.supervisors harassing employees while HR takes company side always.not following hamilton bi laws. AND enforcing a vaccine mandate in January AFTER x-mas season to avoid losing money even as government will be taking away mandates near beginning of 2022. DO YOUR JOB UNION.

Missing 11 out of 12 boxes from my commercial shipment. It has been a week since only one box was delivered. Customer service is terrible. Every day I can and they promise delivery the next day. I am still waiting and no one ever does anything to resolve the issue.

I would give zero stars because I live in Mississauga and they made me drive al the way to Hamilton just to pick up one package? Sad part was is that they left it at square one (mall in Mississauga) yet sent me an email to come pick it up in Hamilton, which is a 2 hour drive there and back! I will definitely not be using DHL again. The man there was nice enough to also complain to there supervisor as well

Too bad zero stars is not an option! The absolute worst shipping company! Driver refused to deliver to the door because it’s “illegal” called customer service and they confirmed that they do indeed need to deliver to the door but it’s too late now and I MAY get the package after the weekend - curious what’s in the package? Baby formula! Why couldn’t I come downstairs? My 6 month old baby was asleep in his crib and I PAID for door to door delivery!

I have been waiting for my package since it was mailed on April 10,2021. At first their was some issue with sender'a ID number.once cleared the package is still not delivered and it is now May 06,2021.they finally admitted that their drivers are not delivering in the appt buildings due to pendamic.why didn't they tell us that before? So finally i instructed them to deliver the package to the nearest place so i can atleast pick it up.will update this review once i get my package.customer service is all sweet talk no action.it seems like their drivers are loose dogs who do not obey their masters.no accountability.

They overcharge for their delivery service by more than 50%. AND they don't give you a receipt for the breakdown! Took me 5 days of calls and emails to get one, in order to find out why I had to pay such a large sum to get my parcel. PLUS the sender had already paid for shipping. Do yourself a favour and don't use their service!

Very expensive. They over charge for their delivery service. $32 for shipping. Then they call and ask for more money or they won't deliver. They ask for another $32 of which $20 is a "processing fee. " Avoid using this so called delivery service unless you are willing to pay twice! Very poor, wish I could give them zero stars.

Avoid DHL at all cost. Tried to self clear duties since they charge more than the duties itself. My package was two pair of shoes worth $60 and they send me paperwork of medication with a value of $360. Never use DHL

One star is too good a rating. Whoever it was that tried to deliver my package came around noon on Sunday Sept 13,2020. No one was at home as we all were in Church. The delivery person left the orange slip on my doorknob with the information that a payment of taxes and duties for CAD$27.26 was required and reported that the package was refused, which was A LIE. When we inquired through DHL Customer Service who was the sender, I received the needed information. I paid the amount owed on Tuesday the 15th. Today is the 16th and I was trying to inquire when delivery would take place. The only info I could find was that the package was on hold because more information was needed. However, I could not find anywhere what additional info was required, even as I was holding printed evidence of payment received found in their website. So I am sitting here still waiting for the new ETD (Estimated Time of Delivery). Taxes and fees have been paid, paid but no package to show. And what is worse, with NO ONE FROM DHL TO TALK TO. Computerized systems offer a very limited list of options to choose from and you often hit a brick wall with unasked and unanswered questions

I guess DHL stand for Disastrous Hellish Lie. Never again DHL.

" Horrible Customer Service Experience"

Please do not book with DHL Express for international couriers- it has been one very bad horrible service experience using for the first time. The customs duty was paid on the spot when received notification to pay upfront and this is what you can expect after payment.

No priority or attention given inspite of reaching to the top management and even after notifying of urgency, the international shipment was misplaced to a wrong location instead of reaching the right destination. No assistance or for that matter urgency from the customer care or the Express team to expedite the shipment or compensate for the issue of delivery after multiple follow-ups. Not planning to use DHL again in future ever where the Management doesnt care at all except sending scripted apology emails.

I ordered a pair of shoes, 187 dollars in duties from America to Canada, I pay it and they still have my items on hold when they should have already been here, then waited on hold for well over and hour to be hung up on by a disrespectful employee! They tried delivering my package to my address at a random time even the I had left my number and availability on the order and they then harassed me over email saying I owe them almost $30 and never explained why so I assumed it was because I want there because I have never been charged $30 on top of any delivery of mine and ontop of that they sent my package back saying I refused it and I wasn't even home to accept nor refuse it so how could I have refused it. Over all it was a terrible experience and I don't think I'm getting my money back for the product because of lack of communication from their end with the company I ordered the product from

My package was delivered to a completely wrong address. Delivery person dropped it off, took a picture for Proof of Delivery, and left. I understand due to COVID-19 they can't get signatures, but please do something more to double check if it's the right address. The driver later returned 6 days later when he was finally able to reacquire it from the wrong address.

DHL, had a worse experience in my entire life. They have worse customer service I ever had. My parents had sent birthday present all the way from my back home, I was supposed to receive on 23rd of june but it showed notification that they dont have contact information, I called them and they told me to pay custom duty. Before that lady took all my information in which she spoke everything corretly but she noted down my telephone number and buzz code incorrect. I called next day I said again it still shows contact information is required the lady from customer service said don't worry mam your parcel is in transit. After an hour I get a update that driver was not able to reach me. Then again I called them I got to know my contact information was taken incorrect. Again I called I was like okay no problem it happens its a human error, I took it nicely. Now I am suppose to next parcel next day and great thing happened I get a notification driver showed up at 1 30 but no one is home at 1 32 I ran downstairs and I get know from my friends who were down stairs from to 2 hours that no DHL truck showed up and there was no driver's sticker on my door which say driver kept a fake note. I called customer service again and he made me reach to their leader and complaint agent who said they will reach me in 2 hours after I had chat with them but they never called back and the number they gave me they never answered. Every single person is fake and dragging me here and there. Everyone is trying to reach their supervisors for help and trying to redeliver my parcel but their supervisor are so busy to answer. I have all call recordings and ph number with their name and told them to give email address where I can complain to their head office but they never did that. So unfortunately I have to keep this review. My parcel has chocolate and sweet and is out every single day sitting in their truck in this temperature. This is highly irresponsible behavior and I have paid for my parcel and even my parents and treating it like their private property.

So disappointed in their services! First the wrong address was entered in the data base which the correct address is clear as crystal on the package then called to tell the address is wrong so they updated in the system. Yet what do they do try to deliver it to the wrong address and say they "can't deliver this package since address doesn't exist and to call them to update address. " Then when picking up the package it wasn't ready so sat and waited over an hour! When I called to talk to a manger to complain they gave me a team leader who didnt listen to anything I was saying and said that they tired to deliver it to right address but disnt exist. Then asked to speak to someone in management and waited on the phone for 5 minutes and she hung up. Hate their service and would never ever recommend this service!

This place is horrible.instead of messaging me or calling my phone number which was supplied to them they just left with my package.no signature is needed so why couldn’t it just be left on the doorstep.i was busy cleaning the basement and didn’t hear anything.now they specifically want me to go to the airport to pick up my package because of their bad communication.

Literally the WORST shipping experience I've had. They cannot follow directions, instructions seem too complicated for them, and they went as far as to put a package in a "mail box" that was a CANADA POST MAILBOX. The left hand doesn't seem to know what the right hand is doing and every single person I spoke with gave a different story. Follow ups never happened, and customer service, while polite, was unable to ever answer any of my questions despite repeated phone calls and going all the way out to their depot by the airport. Would never willingly ship with them again.

I had to ship essentials to Costa Rica in the middle of the pandemic and Ashley at the Hamilton Airport DHL location was SO helpful. She helped me print forms I needed and find the proper destination for my package. She was kind, professional, and safe during this strange time. Thank you Ashley and the Hamilton Airport DHL staff!

Horrible! Checked the camera at the front of my house, delivery vehicle came to the front of my house, stopped and stayed 2 mins and then left, nobody came out from the vehicle. The status then updated from WITH DELIVERY COURIER to RECIPIENT REFUSED DELIVERY.sooooooooooooooo funny. Called customer service, was told I need to pay duty tax, which I think should be notified before delivery. Paid in one minute.ask if they can ask the driver to come back, said will follow up and contact me in one hour. 2 hours after nobody called me.called them again.talked to their manager.said will deal with this and contact me in 40 mins. 2 hours after still nobody called me.called again.said will contact me by 5 pm.no call until 9pm they close their business.

If I could give 0 stars I would. They lied about several delivery attempts and the workers involved were very difficult to deal with. I have never made a complaint before as I am very compassionate but this was really terrible. After they lied about attempting to deliver I made arrangements to pick up the item at their headquarters and it was the wrong product. All the workers involved should be fired.

Terrible. Ordered a product from the States that needs to be refrigerated (it is in a cooler pack). Directions were specific that it did not require a signature (its cold out, would have been fine left at my door). At the border there was a duty charge, DHL sent a message which stated "to expedite delivery please pay duty" which I did immediately. But they did not deliver. Suddenly they need a signature - why? Because the small container (which I paid Approx. $60 to have shipped) was on the truck. Once on the truck there is no way to let them know I have paid the duty.are you thinking what I am? So if there is no way to let them know I paid, they won't ever release it right? Because I need to pay the duty still? Guy on the phone somehow thought all of this made sense and though I called 15min after attempted delivery there was no offer to drop it off (how far way could the guy be at that point). Stay away. Horrid. Nonsensical.

A package was delivered to my home however no one was home so I made alternative arrangements via e-mail to have it delivered. A few weeks went by and still no package. I called and spoke with a representative and explained that this was a Christmas present and I needed it by Christmas. She told me that I would receive it before then. A few days before Christmas, still no package. I received a phone call stating that the package would be received on Christmas eve. Christmas Eve came and went, no package. On December 27th, I called and the representative wasn't even apologetic for their failure to deliver this Christmas gift. They're still trying to track this package for me and I still have not received it. This was a Christmas present for my son.

Delivered my package to my landlord despite explicit instructions to leave the package at the side door, on the label no less than twice. Service centre is also in a very inconvenient location from when I last had to travel there and pick up my package

The driver did not even walk by my condo unit before claiming that I was not home. I was informed by our concierge that, despite them being let in, the person simply walked through the front doors of the condo building and then left immediately afterward. Now I'm having an incredibly difficult time trying to coordinate with DHL on the re-delivery of my express package.

I paid extra amount to have rush shipping on a product that I needed in the timeline I had paid for. I made sure to pay the duties and taxes on the products as well as pre authorized signature. I also have a ring camera in which never went off and had no record at the time they said they were there of a driver showing up. Called them 3 times in which all they could do is send the driver a messages but would not refund me for the service I had paid. I will never use DHL again and will make sure to share being ripped off by DHL.
