Diamond In The Ruff Pet Retreat

Can't say enough great things about this place. They really get to know your dogs and spend the time learning their personalities! My dogs are always so excited to come here and start whining when we turn onto Hwy 6. With offerings like Christmas dinner and so many great options and features, it feels great to know I'm leaving my dogs in fantastic hands with people who have such a genuine love for pets. Have booked many times here, and will definitely be booking many more!

Diamond is the absolute best! I have two dogs who absolutely love it there (and are also obsessed with the staff!). Boomer and Scout get VERY excited anytime they hear the word “daycare”, and the photos and daily updates I get about them are hilarious, and really give me peace of mind that the dogs are well cared for while I’m away. The team is very diligent about ensuring they adhere to any instructions I have (medications, feeding, etc), and I can tell that they genuinely care about the pups - they’ll always have a funny story or two about the shenanigans my goofballs got up to in the yard. One of the main reasons I don’t want to move out of this area is because it is so comforting to have such an incredible daycare/boarding facility nearby that I can trust to take the absolute best care of my dogs:) Can’t recommend them highly enough!

I have used DITR for awhile now and always had a good experience. However the drop off times have changed, it is 9 am. Most people start work between 7/8 am. Very inconvenient and out of touch. The staff has also changed, much different aura.

If we could add a 0* we would. The owners are terrible and this place has gone down hill. When they were struggling during COVID and had loyal customers and we paid their bills and mortgage, they were great. Now they are taking in over 100 dogs and picking and choosing which dogs they want and treating them poorly. Do not support Diamond In the Ruff. Terrible people and the co-owner (specifically the wife, Janice) is not a good person. Her attitude and language is inappropriate. If she treats humans like this, how is she treating your doggy? !

The owners are terrible people. They are focused on making money and not taking care of your dogs! They have all new staff and they are scared of dogs lol and the owners are clueless. They are dealing with an influx of dogs due to “COVID dogs” and don’t care about your dog’s well being. I would not recommend taking your dog to this facility. They are not good people and do not care about your dogs. Janice (the co-owner) is also incredibly rude and disrespectful. She does not respond to calls or emails ever! Quite confident she’s also racist. Her tone and language is unbelievable and when attempting to speak with her, she has her husband TJ respond. She needs a lesson in customer service. After 2 years of going to this facility on a regular basis and supporting them during COVID and their lowest time financially, I can confidently say I will never go back and you should not trust them to take care of your fur baby. Disgusting!
