Diamond Sushi

Best sushi restaurant in Barrie, the new owner definitely knows how to run a restaurant on a higher standard. Service was great, very friendly and professional. Ingredients are so fresh. Recommended dishes that I have tried, Salmon skin rolls/hand rolls, Beef Udon/ramen soup, deep fried scallops and wings, tapayaki and sashimi, General Tao chicken is also a must try. Can’t wait to try more items on the menu, we had a great dining experience. Thank you and Happy Holidays!

It's our first time trying this all you can eat restaurant in Barrie and all the food are boooomb! Ordering thru iPad makes life easy. Fast and friendly service. Definitely will come back!

Overpriced. $40 per person on a weekday, squid was like hard rubber and the eel was slimey, tasted overly fishy which is not the norm. Rice was not flavoured well, I don’t know what happened because I’ve been coming here for years and it was never like this. Very disappointed.

Server brought the wrong stir fry dish and rather than wait another 20 minutes for the beef we accepted it. The seafood ramen was bland at best and the teriyaki chicken ramen had pieces of rubbery, unappetizing chicken. I question if it was properly cooked at all. It was pale and gray and any teriyaki that was supposed to be on it had pretty much been washed off by the tasteless broth. The server was apologetic for the wrong order but still charged us for it

On a positive note, the cream cheese wontons were amazing!

Over priced for what it was. Sushi was ok but I've had much better, and the service left something to be desired. There are definitely better places in Barrie and at a better price.

Horrible experience. If you like sushi or even dining out in general don't go here. I try to be as fair as possible in my reviews but my dinner here has been the worst I've had in years. The service was almost nonexistent, from having to flag down our server every time we needed something to waiting forever for our food to come out, I felt as if I should've been making the sushi myself. Judging from the poor taste and quality of the food I probably would've been better off if I actually did that. The best dish was the tempura shrimp and that's saying something considering we ordered 5 sushi rolls as well as various pieces of sashimi and individual sushi. To top it off we waited 20 minutes for a takeout container for the shrimp and to our surprise it had water spots and a layer of dirt caked onto the bottom. Don't come here for the food, or the service. Just don't bother coming at all.

Got all you can eat. Won ton soup takes longer here than any other restaurant I’ve been to. Asked for a side of ice so my son could eat it (was way too hot and his first serving was taken away before he had completed it).
Server and servers child and another woman all tried to talk me out of getting ice for my child. The child tried to even say my son would get sick from it? I tried to tell her if soup is cooked up to temp and the meat is cooked it is safe? She was confused. I think it’s safe to say they don’t understand safe food handling here. The cleanliness is poor, I’d be more concerned getting sick from that. The iPad was disgusting to touch. We were desperate and ate the food. Which was good I will admit.

EDIT: I had complaints about the dirtiness in the bathroom but on my recent visit it had been corrected!

Had a wonderful dinner here last night with my family! We arrived around 7: 00pm and the place was absolutely bustling, but despite how busy it was the service was fast, the folks were friendly, and the food was delicious.

10/10, will absolutely be coming back here again - PS, highly recommend the wonton soup, hot and sour soup, smoked salmon sushi, cucumber salad, and the chicken and beef skewers!

Not a 5-star sushi place, but I definitely I rely wouldn’t say anything bad about it. Price is okay, and the food is pretty good with lots of selection!

This is usually my go-to sushi restaurant. I always order takeout, i've only dined in once.

I was not impressed when I dined in. The water served was lukewarm. The staff are unfriendly. The restaurant was filthy too, it really desparetly needs a clean.

Takeout is great, no complaints.

This place is the most uncomfortable and unwelcoming restaurant I’ve ever been to.

Very difficult to get comfortable here because it’s so cold inside. Every time someone comes through the door you feel a very cold draft. They need to address this problem. I saw people eat while wearing their jackets inside, which was a bit humorous but that’s how cold it is in there.

The staff are slow, inattentive and distant. Not welcoming at all and give off a very unfriendly vibe which makes you feel unwelcome.

The service is VERY slow in between dishes. 26 minute wait after we finished or first order. Not very good when you have a dining time limit, And when the food finally did arrive it was so bland looking and thrown together with no presentation. Also, the wrong food was brought to us twice at the table.

The Sashimi was very small in proportion compared to other sushi restaurants I’ve been to, the texture seemed off and felt slimy. The sushi rolls were terrible, the rice in them was over cooked and mushy, to make it worse there was hardly anything in them.

I won’t be back here again. Besides the dirty table and it being freezing cold in there this place sucks for atmosphere, Walmart has better sushi rolls and the service is slow and unfriendly.

It was my first time there and the service was very good, but the food was only O. K. This is definitely NOT an authentic sushi restaurant. They did not offer sashimi or dim sum (as shown on their online menu) for lunch. The fish slices were sliced way too thick, the sushi rolls did not hold their shape; as soon as they hit the soy sauce they fell apart.

Our family loves visiting Diamond Sushi for their tasty all you can eat service. We only order from here as we’ve always experienced fresh food with good serving quality. We definitely recommend it!

We had a great experience at Diamond Sushi’s All-You-Can-Eat restaurant (Anne St). The ambiance is very welcoming and the service was great! The food was delicious, had great presentation, and came out of the kitchen very quickly! We will definitely be back to this location!

Food was pretty good and with the online order way super easy.
The staff who worked there were really unfriendly and annoyed of me and my friend. We payed 40$ per person what is ridiculous, I have to guess that they tried to scam us. This is the money not worth and we didn’t even go there on a weekend.

I never give bad reviews.but last night was disappointing.

I have to say, it was freeeezing cold. The majority of the customers wore their coats while they were eating.

The menu did not have much for variety options. Very limited. It didnt even have the popular sashimi, just salmon and butterfish.

Unfortunately, the menue did not have a description of what is in any of the rolls, or what is in their signature meal (like Dragon Salad, Rock'n Roll Maki, etc.) And when you asked the server.they had no clue, or couldnt explain it!)

All the rolls: handrollls, maki rolls, etc had soooo much tampura or mayo in it, thats all you can taste, and it was greasy.

All categories of there options had mostly eggs, veggies, cucumber, ingredients that I didnt care much for. If I go to a sushi bar, I want sushi!

And we waited about 30-40 minutes to have our dessert.
