Dicey Business Inc. (LLBO) - Escape Rooms and Board Game Cafe

The place was over all pretty good. I wish staff was more attentive to their customers. I went up to the front twice to inquire about some games and one with a potential buy. However no one was there, the second time I went up they were with a customer then went else where. I went to ask about if a game was available to play as I thought maybe it was just a display, the staff said they would go look for the pieces. Rather than standing around I figured I would go sit back at my table. Instead of having open communication of letting my party or myself know that they can’t find the pieces they instead went back to the kitchen.

The place yea was busy in the sense they had people seated playing board games, keeping themselves occupied - yet I don’t see why there wouldn’t be staff members checking in once and a while instead all in the kitchen. Our table ordered some drinks and food which were quite good. Not just our table but other tables had their empty dishes still with them, we ended up not seeing our table cleared until we left- this made it hard to have playing space. To be honest staff at Snakes and Lattes are more attentive. Another factor that resulted in the rating was again another demonstration of not being attentive to customers nor the surroundings was that someone from my party asked about a game to see if we can play it or if they had it for sale. Another staff said they would check, and again failed to communicate as to whether or not they had it. Instead left us coming to the conclusion on our own when we didn’t hear from them.

Quite disappointing in the customer service and good customer service would be tipped according. I chose not to due to my experience. And the staff who cashed us out sassed mouth under their breath saying “guess you had a horrible time” when realizing I didn’t tip.instead of giving the place initially a 3 at least- I give it a 2-2.5. Tips aren’t mandatory but is a gesture/courtesy, to utter something like that snarky comment above yeah I’m glad I did give one. The customer service was not good

Met up with some friends to hang out and play some board games. Unlimited play is $7. They have a decent collection of games, and the food and drinks are priced reasonably. I had a $5 matcha latte, $6 grilled cheese, and $6 fries. The matcha latte was better than expected. The grilled cheese and fries were both pretty good too. The people working there were kind and sociable! Overall, I had a great experience.

I didn't try a lot of food but the food I had was quite salty.

But everything else is great! Lots of board games, one fee for unlimited playing time, and a cozy vibe.

Been here a few times with my friends and it’s a good time. The price to play is very reasonable in comparison to other cafes. Selection of games is pretty good. The food isn’t that great so I suggest you eat before coming. The seats are not that comfortable as they’re booth style seats. A lot of the games are very used and need a good cleaning. They also don’t have a complete settlers of catan which is very disappointing, my friends and I spent a good 30 min trying to combine two different boxes to make a full game only to still be short. Overall I think they need to make a few upgrades to the aesthetic of the place. And some of their games need replacing.

Our first time here. We have wanted to check out this place for a while now since they're just down the street. Everyone there is super friendly and helpful. We went on a Saturday and it was a full house. Wide range of board Games. There are also items for purchase. We did not order any food since we went after dinner. We ordered sundae and bubbletea. They were alright.

I don’t think any review I leave will actually do this place justice. Dicey Business is one of my favourite places in the world to hang out. Whether you’re into art, card games or board games, Dicey has a spot for you (not to mention the 100 other things you can spend your time doing there). The owners are two of the nicest people you’ll ever meet, and the staff is just as pleasant. The company is great, and the food and drinks are tasty and affordable. No better place to spend an evening or afternoon!

Hidden Gem, fun for family or friends just to go out play games and chill out. Great for adults, kids and seniors.

This place offers lot of games and lots of fun. People working there are really friendly and very helpful with games.

We went here with 4 kids between the ages of 9 and 13. We were there for 4 hours and they still didn't want to leave. The price per person paying was reasonable and the staff was friendly, helpful, and attentive. We will be going back.

The food at this place was not only very good but also extremely cheap! The staff members were also quite kind and the big selection of board games meant that you were never board. Though a couple of games were unusable most of the games were fine to use. Overall great place and whenever I’m in the area I’ll definitely stop by again.

Lovely place! We spent great time playing board games! They have really nice drinks, too (like honeydew bubble tea with coconut jelly), and bring coffee in the cutest mugs. Will definitely visit again!

Nice place with tons of games. Tim is great, showed us a few games based on what we told him we we're looking for. Played a few new games and had lots of fun, even have a new one on our wish list.

Great place to hang out and play all kinds of games. The game selection is great and it's a comfortable atmosphere. We got lattes and cookies which were freshly baked and delicious. Will definitely be back!

Very interesting place as I found it accidentally so the restaurant should more marketing.

It is nice play to sit with your friends and plays board game. They have collection of more than 420 games for people wirh separate collection of popular games.

You can sit inside as there is good space indoor or you can enjoy the games outside. Also the restaurants has special menu and everything is quite interring.

Get their cookies! They're baked in house so they're warm and gooey in the centre with crispy edges! They also have 154 board games that you can play with friends and are more than happy to teach you a new game to try or do the classics.

Staff was awesome and friendly, with a good selection of fun games to play. The drinks were pretty good too! Very welcoming place to hang out with friends

The board game selection wass quite decent, however it's somewhat disorganized. There are no signs saying. What time of board games are on each rack. However, the food is great. Overall, I enjoyed my time here quite a bit and will most likely be back.

Very friendly staff, a very welcoming place, and an amazing collection of games. I mean they have a toooon of games, some that are hard to find. Even a few limited prints! Food and drinks are reasonably priced, and the deep fried buttermilk chicken was so delicious we ordered a whole bunch even though we weren't hungry!

Went there this weekend for a little first date. They had an amazing selection of games to play and the staff was very friendly. We didn't get any food so can't say anything yet about that but we will definitely be back again because it was a great atmosphere

When you walk in and it's your first time, don't worry the staff are very friendly and approachable so don't hesitate to ask for assistance. The menu is very delicious, highly recommend the poutine or even a side of fries. They also serve alcoholic beverages for those wild nights! Lots of games to interact with or to have a good time for a casual atmosphere. I want to suggest calling a head to see if there is available table space for you or your company, for this place does fill up fast due to high popularity on the weekends.overall, If I had the time I would go everyday to hang out/chill and enjoy this amazing establishment:)

The place overall is very nice, they have a nice selection of over 400 games and a good drinks menu. I really enjoyed the place, great to have a relaxing time with friends.

I was at this location on March 16,2022 at 3: 19. I had a horrible experience; the green popping boba flavour was disastrous, there was no roof at the location, the staff were extremely unapproachable, they misspelled passion fruit on their menu as “passon” fruit, and the worst of all: the apple pie item on their menu was called “apple π. ” This left an absolutely distasteful experience during my time there.

P. S.if you roll doubles in monopoly, do you go again?

Great atmosphere, staff & owner (s) are laid back & welcoming. Great place to play card games, board games & even escape rooms. Food is good & prices are solid, overall a great place to be.

Good prices. Board game selection can be improved, but we managed to find some good ones to play. Food was decent.

Didn't know we had to pay until it was time to leave; putting prices on the menu isn't something a first timer will really take note of, we're looking for food. Maybe we missed the price list on the menu? ‍️ Otherwise, it was nice to see all the cool games, and have someone there to introduce, and teach us new games! I have to try their bubble tea the next time though.it literally comes in a frozen glass mug!

The number of options in board games is very limited. The games are kept in disarray and tables aren't big enough for a group of 4 and above. Expect a mediocre experience! Not worth 7$ for game play nor 5$ worth Mocha.

I had an absolutely great experience. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, their game inventory is well stacked, and the prices for food and games are all reasonable. It's everything you want from a game cafe.

My gf and I love this place! A very relaxed, homey vibe. The owners and workers talk to you like you’re their friends. Not the biggest board game cafe but definitely a good time.

Wide range of games and definitely worth visiting with good friends. The staff are very welcoming and checking in if all our needs are taken care off.

A good place. The games feel pretty used and not the newest of quality but it's only 7 dollars to play so I feel worth it for the cost.
