We appreciate the way Alex has a straight forward approach to communication and getting the job done. From the first call to the last, he is honest and efficient. We have hired his crew to work on multiple projects around our house (s) over the last fifteen years. Their work is beautiful. They kept their worksites clean. We are consistently impressed with how they were all so respectful of our property as well as our neighbour's. We have had no complaints about D&D over the years. Pricing is competitive and fair. If I could give 10 stars I would. We have used Alex from Dig & Design for multiple projects around our home for nearly a decade, starting with our front steps and walkway in 2015. We invited Alex back to complete our back patio and hot tub pad in 2017, followed by our side steps last fall, with some touch ups this past month. Every time we have asked for a project, he comes in at the best value, is on time, cleans up every night on a multi day project, and on budget. His team is polite, courteous and highly skilled. I have recommended him to friends and family, and look forward to inviting him back when it’s time to tear up the asphalt driveway and put down paver stones. Thanks Alex.

We rarely hire contractors to do work for us as we typically do it ourselves, having said that, the walkway in front of our house was in desperate need of repair and we did not feel comfortable doing it ourselves. I searched a few sites and found Dig and Design Landscaping. From the very beginning they were extremely professional and one of the best contractors we have ever used. Right from the first conversation I had with Alex, to the final day of completion, he was always responsive within a day or less, answered my questions and provided some much needed advice on how to make it look nicer. The Dig and Design Crew were amazing! The attention to detail was fantastic and they cleaned up everything at the end. Had Alex and his crew design and install a paver stone pathway in my front yard. During the initial consult, Alex devised a clever way to integrate the pathway into my existing landscaping. The results were even better than expected with the new pathway looking like it had always been there.
Alex’s team was reliable, efficient and professional. Will definitely be booking Alex again for some additional stone work along my driveway.

Don't waste your time calling for a "free estimate" as advertised on his website. I phoned to get a quote on replacing a retaining wall, and Alex made it very clear that he "picks and chooses" the jobs they take on, and if replacing the retaining wall was too difficult then he wouldn't bother with the job. He actually wanted me to take aerial and other photos and send them to him so he could decide, rather than just coming out and taking a look. Like sure buddy - I'll do your job for you. What a joke. Can't wait to share my experience with neighbours and friends, so they don't waste their time (or money) on this guy either.
