Booked an appointment. Came in. No one addressed me or asked anything. Was just pointed to a terminal. Filled out all the information then proceeded to wait for another 30 minutes until I left. What's the point of booking an appointment? Getting another family doctor elsewhere.
12 January 2024 11:14
Unfortunately I have to agree that my experiences with the admin staff have been some of the worst at any doctor's office. From consistently not picking up the phone and not listening to voicemails to the disorganization of them losing documents or sending them to the wrong place and then lying about it, I would also give 0 stars if I could. The sad part is that they don't seem to want to change anything.
04 October 2023 17:18
This is the worst medical clinic ever. If I could give 0 stars I would. I've never seen a medical office as bad as this one! The only reason I came to this medical clinic is because of Dr. Bayat. I heard she was an excellent family physician, so I switched me family doctor to her. I don't recommend the place to anyone. 90% of the receptionist are rude, they put you on hold and don't get back for about 30 min. I'm not sure who this clinic belongs to but I think they need to rethink about who they have working at the front. They keep coming on the phone and putting you on hold. When you ask for information they don't send it to you right away, it takes them weeks to do it and it's not even what you want. You have to explain yourself to multiple people and they still don't understand. When you ask Anna for information she doesn't get it for you, she gives you the run around. All the receptionist will be reported. Enough is enough.

Called to book an appointment. Told the lady the reception that I have bleeding and to please ensure that my appointment is booked. She laughed at me. "Hhahah ahaha sure I will book it" its frustrating how unempathetically this was handled.
04 September 2023 6:54
This reception office will be reported to Ontario Health Investigations unit.
I called reception to book an appointment to see doctors dodge to check for cancer after treatment as I have heavy bleeding. Reception told me that I have to pay 50$ now after missed appointment and only then she will be able to schedule me in.
1. I called them in a day before to cancel 6 times but nobody answered
2. They never called me to confirm that appointment 24 hours before
3. I have my cell phone provider prints to prove there was no calls from medical centre
4. There is a law in Ontario “If you have a pending bill with your doctor, you should not be denied medical care” and they denied to my access to see my doctor!
When I said I will file a complaint for Ontario health unit she put me on hold and then hang up 5 minutes later. I have a record of this conversation and a witness. Now a called few times already and their office number just transferred to voice mail that is full. They literally turned their number off. I have all the records.

I'm visiting from out of town and needed to see a doctor via a walk-in-clinic. I showed up at 9: 30am and within 20 minutes, I saw the doctor and had my prescription filled. Quick process, which I'm impressed about.
11 June 2023 5:41
After my previous doctor retired, I started to visit Dr. Joshi for my medical needs. He is a great physician. He does not take matters lightly, nor does he over prescribe. I am very glad to have him as my family doctor.
01 May 2023 9:36
Please stay away from this medical center. Unorganized and irresponsible. When you have appointments, you have to always wait an extra 30 to 40 min to see any doctors. When you call with a concern, there is no follow up from any one. I was seeing an allergy specialist in this center and after having a sever reaction to one of the shots. It took 3 phone calls to finally make an appointment and each time I talked about what happened and asked them to follow up with the doctor and get back to me, there was no response or accountability. I am so so sorry that I have even contributed a cent to this business. Nor recommended.

Me and my wife has good experience with Disera medical center. Dr Mirza is our family physician and was very helpful during our first baby.
She is very emphatic, knowledgeable and the best. Would recommend her anytime.

We are absolutely disturbed by the behaviour of the receptionist named Sabina who is terrorizing older clientele and particularly my father who is 85 years old and who is a holocaust survivor. He came to see a walking dr and has been screamed, yelled and threatened by this lady Sabina the receptionist. Even though the other person was trying to help and understand the situation and telling him that he can go see a dr but this lady Sabina continued harassing my father and insulting him by not letting him to go see a waking dr with absolutely no reason to that. My father ended up in a hospital after that situation that was created with no reason by Sabina. To the management: this is your direct responsibility to hire and teach your workers to behave in a professional matter with dealing with people especially older people and you failed on all the points to do that. We will be sending an official complain letter to the ministry of health and asking them to look into your operations.
24 December 2022 9:09
A well run walk in clinic. Receptionist was efficient and pleasant.
Dr. Joshi had a pleasant manner as well. One suggestion-If you have cold symptoms, a rapid covid test is required before coming to the clinic and that should be posted on the website.
21 December 2022 14:44
I had an excellent experience today and would recommend them highly to anyone. That goes for the pharmacy as well!
20 November 2022 1:17
My 1st time walking into this clinic on my daughters recommendation. Check in was very quick even though there were several other woman attending other patients. I waited 2 minutes before being called into a room where already Dr. Rajan Joshi was already waiting for me. Great bedside and very accommodating. Walked away within 10 minutes from when I walked in with exactly what I needed to solve my problem. This is a fantastic clinic.
04 August 2022 9:57
I went on to this Walk-in clinic, with my son, who I was sure had strep. We met with Dr. Joshi. He was condensing, dismissive and rude. When I told him that I was 95% sure my son has strep, he said "do you want me to write a script and you can go on your way. " To that I responded, "I was expecting a doctor to look at it, hence why I am here. " He even asked me if I work in the medical field. When I said I did. He said, and I quote "because a lot of mothers come in here thinking they know what is wrong with their child and they are usually wrong. " He THEN said, "I don't see what you are seeing, please come here and look and tell me where you see an ulcer. " He didn't even have a tongue depressor in my son's mouth. I asked him to swab him and write me a script. He did swab him but refused to give me a script. I left. 2 days later no call and my son was still bad. We made an appointment with his family doctor and low and behold my son has strep. STILL NO CALL FROM THIS OFFICE! I will never go back to that Doctor, he doesn't care about anyone. He shouldn't be a doctor.
01 June 2022 16:45
If this clinic replace Dr. Joshi it will improve greatly. I have stopped going there because of him. He always makes you feel like he wants you out of the office. He refuses to help with simple matters, instead telling you to go to your family doctor (and making you feel bad for asking), even though other walk-ins are happy to help with those issues. I have recently come to him with an issue, he recommended the wrong kind of test, and when I expressed doubt about the test due to what I've read, he treated with me with condescension. Later talking to another doctor, he agreed that it's the wrong kind of test.
I always feel anxiety about going to see him since I know he'll make me feel like I'm not worthy of his time. I won't be returning there though it's the closest clinic to my house.

Today May 5,2022 at 12: 05 with my husband (84 years old) we wisited Disera Medical Centre. My husband is coughing and needed doctors assistance. But we didn't get any help because receptionist (Russian speaking girl) was so rude, saying us she didn't want to see someone coughing in her office and she didn't have for us any appointments. We live in Canada for 40 years, but never had so bad attitude from medical personnel. I will never recommend this Centre to my family or friends.
09 May 2022 17:28
Wow, I must say I never give one star reviews, but this one was hard to swallow today.

I came with my 11 year old daughter today to see a doctor. It was hard for me to get out of the house with a newborn and come to their office, but I appreciated that they accept walk ins and there was only a 10 minute wait.

When they called our names, we approached the counter. Receptionist was nice. They told us to come in. And this is when Dr. Rajan Joshi was standing sort of by the door. No hello or how are you. He sort of said “room 14! ” in a rude manner, without eye contact. I disregarded it.

Once we were in the room, he started asking me why we are there. I said there 3 matters we wanted to discuss, before I could continue saying what the matter are, he said: “oh three, huh? ” I again disregarded it and thought maybe that’s the way he converses with all patients.

He continued to ask me and my daughter questions without eye contact and almost looking annoyed we are there. But then he started saying to my daughter and I literally quote “if you don’t wanna be here, you don’t need to be here, you are giving me attitude, you literally can just leave”.
I said “she is not giving you attitude, and I am asking you to address her in appropriate and polite manner”.
In my head I thought to myself “WTH? ! ”
I do agree my daughter was upset (she is shy by nature and is afraid of doctors), but in NO WAY she was disrespectful or rude or really said anything bad.
She was literally quietly sitting on the bed.

After I told him that she is not giving him attitude he continued the exam in silence only asking “look here, look there, etc. ” and ordered blood work with the rest of the things.
Overall it was a weird and rude experience, watching a grown dude with superiority complex feel a need to flex his authority in front of an 11 year old child.

Pathetic. Won’t be back.
03 May 2022 4:54
They purposely put their phones on busy and takes weeks to renew your prescription look for a family doctor somewhere else
29 April 2022 6:23
I just want to say that I really like this clinic and mostly to say a huge thanks to my family doctor Michael Katsap he is very knowledgeable professional kind and nice and i hope he will see that!
So thank you again.

Dr. Omer was my family doctor for about 12 years. My mother saw her a few times and decided to go back to our old family doctor in Richmond Hill. Didn't like her attitude.

As for myself, I stayed her patient for this many years. She wasn't always reachable and easy going. No emotions whatsoever. Just straightforward kind of person. I was still ok with all that.

Till my wife came to this country and for 3 years she was her patient. She was never happy with her unfriendly attitude.

During the pandemic, Dr. Omer refused to book annual check up appointment with us for 2 years. We kept on asking.

I was still not too concerned, until my wife was 8 months pregnant and had an appointment with her and made it 5 minutes late.

She had to wait almost 2 hours in that condition to see the doctor. Imagine. Put yourself in our shoes.

Finally I called and left a voicemail and told them that they have been so rude to us and explained the above story. And I mentioned that I will change my family doctor.

Just about 1 week after we both received letters from the clinic that you are no longer our patients.

She has been always indifferent to us. I think a doctor and her team should really connect with people on a deeper level and show compassion towards them. But this person just didn't have it! No humanity whatsoever! I could say more and more. But that should give you an idea of who you're dealing with if you choose her as your family doctor.

Doctors are good (but not all of them) but the service could be better, the receptionist I dealt with was rude and unprofessional over the phone. I complained and brought this attitude issue to the next level. Another person apologized on behalf of the office and quickly resolved the technical issue with getting blood test results via online service. While I am currently happy with my doctor (Dr Hwang), my previous doctor from the same office was okay but busy. When the previous doctor left, I was not interested in following her to the new office. Got better doctor but worse receptionist.
05 July 2021 8:06
Dr Dodge is incredible, but the receptionist I dealt with was the worst ive ever encountered in healthcare. Dismissive of my extreme pain, dismissive of request to have the doctor call me after results, and displayed 0 human emotion and empathy towards me and other patients. DONT Expect to be accomodated if you are in extreme pain

update: i have called 20+ times in one day to try and reach them.nobody picks up, the phone line drops.
05 July 2021 4:28
Absolutely terrible service with Dr. Rajan Joshi. Not only was he rude and dismissive, he actually told me that I should see a 'real' doctor instead of my Naturopath. He doesn't know anything about my medical history or my previous doctors, so this kind of advice is beyond unprofessional and rude. A 'real' doctor, who actually cares about patients and his job, would do a tests and a proper consultations before prescribing me drugs. I can't stress enough how terrible my experience was. Never going back here again! What a joke.
30 June 2021 3:07
My new doctor is lovely, Dr. Mamoona Mirza, however the male pharmacist was having an argument with one of the other techs about her break and he was being incredibly unprofessional and demeaning in his tone. His tone and how he talks to these women need to be dealt with, it would make for an incredibly toxic work environment.
29 June 2021 1:44
Doctors are amazing. Other staff is rude and unprofessional. Beware the pharmacists are worse and the one worker Kevin refuses to wear his mask
19 June 2021 17:48
I have nothing but good things to say about the DR I’m seeing at Disera Medical. Professional and knowledgeable. However, to get through to their offices I have literally called and left messages and sent a follow up email. No reply. I had to physically drive to the offices to get the information on a referral I needed. It had been faxed and returned and no one had bothered to follow up. Incredibly disappointing and unprofessional to all of their patients. They need a series re-training of all of their staff!
15 January 2021 23:14
Despite all the bad reviews there are so many good positive aspects about this place. You now can do online appointments via a video call with a virtual walk-in doctor, which is amazing during COVID. The doctors are friendly and always trying to help (especially Dr Michael Katsap), young professional doctor that cares about his patients.

The only downside is the wait time.
18 December 2020 21:29
That place does not practice medicine any longer. If you want to hear a robotic response from a doctor about the "Safety of the others, scientific evidence, government regulations" and other abstract concepts - you can find all that online. If you want an objective medical evaluation of your unique health - look elsewhere.

Answer to the owner's response: I called the office following your response, the receptionist said she couldn't find any record of your response in my file, so she was unable to proceed) I didn't even need it, it was your request.
29 October 2020 19:23
Once I came to the centre and asked if I could make a blood test there. "Of course, you can" - was the answer. So, I arrived two days later and was waiting in the line. Only when my turn came, they asked for my referral. "Sorry, we make the tests only for patients of our doctors". Nobody even cared to tell me about it before my visit.
21 March 2020 21:10
I'm visiting the clinic for 9 years and never had a problem.they always try to help.the best doctors.nice receptionist. Love this clinic and all staff!
17 February 2020 17:08
I am giving this review because I have a really wonderful doctor. She is pleasant, and more importantly seems thorough and is just so easy to talk to. And some other doctors there that I went to were good. The front desk service is improving and they finally got their website working which makes it so much easier to book. Yes they have been very frustrating to me sometimes in the past but they are making an effort to do better.
05 January 2020 5:26
No wonder this clinic only has 2.5 stars. If you care about your health and your sanity, stay far far far away from this place. The OWNER Dr. Staroselsky is corrupt and will only do what benefits his pocket. The Secretary is rude. They should be ashamed to call themselves doctors. Doctors are supposed to help people, not themselves. Will make sure that people are aware of this treatment going forward.
16 December 2019 21:55
We are patients of Dr. Staroselsky for 8 years, he is good, knowledgeable doctor for both adults and kids, I am surprised to see some negative reviews. He found a rare and hardly diagnosible desease in case of one member of my family and provided a great treatment for it
I also had a really great experience with the cosmetologist Tatiana there, she treated my skin problems I had having for years
20 November 2019 0:15
It is really good clinic. All doctors and secretaries are very attentive and polite.
I always can contact this clinic for any question and they always help me.
I never left without help.
21 September 2019 15:29
My mom says, her prayers brought me to this place.

I was surprised to find some grumpy comments because I came here to express my long-lasting gratitude to the members of this team, par excellence, my family physician Dr. Arthur Staroselsky. His exceptional care, support, and expertise keeps me alive and my family happy for many years.

I signed up with this clinic at the most vulnerable time of my life, when I came across a frightful illness. From Dr. Star and his team, I got tremendous support, knowledgeable advice, timely care, and lots of help with coordination of my medicine, scheduling specialists, therapy, and tests. They are the best in accomodating of my extensive health care needs.

Dr. Staroselsky also deserves to be mentioned as a diagnostician with exceptionally keen sense. His opinion means a lot to me, and I often double-check side prescriptions and treatment decisions with him. I am grateful to him for putting many checkmarks of success in the course of my healing.

Disera Medical's team is always efficient and friendly. The administrator Lana is an incredible person who has helped me so much to overcome fear of medical places, she also very timely helped me with my paperwork. Their lab assistant is incredibly kind, supportive and experienced; even my daughter's thinnest veins are nooo problem! For Oleg. There are new receptionists, very nice hardworking and attentive ladies as well. I saw them working in different parts of day, year, weather, busyness, and I have experienced and witnessed that they had always been nice and tactful with everybody.

The location is great by all means for me - TTC, plenty of free parking, Uber easily finds it and brings you right to the arched entrance - convenient on a rainy day.

At Disera Medical, my needs to go to several specialists, are conveniently met at one clinic. I feel confident and taken a very well care of. As far as my experience is concerned, I don't know what possibly could go wrong at that office, negative comments look totally unfair. This is a hard working team, that is professional, and is always in search of improvement, as I can tell from the beginning times of this clinic.

Even if I had to leave from this area, I would still try to stay with this office. I wish all the best and further prosperity to Dr. Star and his awesome team.
28 August 2019 13:34
Went today after 4: 00 pm to be seen by any doctor, The receptionist greet me without saying "Hi" but asking if i have an appointment. Very, very disappointed with service and this is not first time i was not happy with receptionists there.
05 July 2019 11:34
I made an appointment ahead of time, and one of the receptionist got her husband before me, I had an appointment to Dr Hwang Irene (she is really wonderful doctor), and her husband not! How it can be? I can know this because I arrived before him, it is not profesional and unrespect to the patient. I am really disappointed about them. They used to be very good, but now they are not. It is unrespect to me and my time! Today I came to walk in doctor, and receptionist and Dr Staraselky apologized to me, and it was very nice, it makes you feel that the staff is carrying about the patients, and for them important to make patients happy. Thank them for that.
11 May 2019 11:29
Dr. Irene is simply wonderful.highly recommended.super professional. I only waited 20 minutes to go in. Receptionists are nice and helpful.:)
30 March 2019 4:44
The worse clinic Ever! The secretaries are the worst! Never answer the phone, if you are lucky enough and they answered they will keep you on hold f-o-r-e-v-e-r! When they finally answer you will probably get an appointment a month later for a basic family doctor appointment!
17 March 2019 23:19
Dr. Irene Hwang is truly a gem but she is one of the only redeeming characteristics of this clinic. The other doctors I've seen here (Arthur and Marta?) are nice too.

The clinic customer service is really an abomination and I would give it 1 star if I could. Rude, disrespectful secretaries who call the wrong number every single time, divulge patient details to others (at least 5-6 times this has happened despite me complaining every time).

And if you come on time for your appointment, expect to wait a minimum of 30 minutes.
24 December 2018 6:53
That's so funny, people say "skip this clinic" LOL, like there is a choice in Canada! You go everywhere and it's all the same, hours of waiting, weeks to book an appointment to the basic "family doctor", uncaring and indifferent socialist medical care system, even if a doctor is great it changes nothing.i am surprised someone is actually expecting to get refill simply by asking the assistant to remind the doctor, i have never heard of such luxury.and the office secretaries are really helpful here.they might not wear deceiving shining smiles on their faces but they do try to help.
Ury's wife
23 November 2018 16:34
Had appointment scheduled for 11: 00 a.m, at 11: 45 was still waiting for doctor. In this office nobody cares about patients time. Why to schedule appointment and send reminders by asking to come 10 minutes earlier?
29 October 2018 17:43
Don't even bother.complete waste of time.
You come in in time and wait at least few more hours.
21 August 2018 10:54
Don't waist your time, not sure how "Latman" can call her self a doctor. There is no knowledge, no personality, no tactic dealing with patients.
