Dixie Animal Hospital Mississauga

My dog had an accident on a Sunday afternoon and I started rushing to find an animal hospital. I came across Dixie and gave them a call. They took my credit card information and scheduled me an appointment 3 hours later which was way too long of a wait. As soon as I hanged up I started calling other vets and one of them told me they could receive me right away, these vets, inc comparison to Dixie Animal Hospital, started asking questions about my dogs's health state and immediately put me on the phone with a vet who advised me on what to do while I got to the clinic. As soon as I started making my way to this other vet I called Dixie to cancel the appointment I had just booked 30 minutes before. Three days later I got a charge of $50 on my credit card. I've never even been there and I booked an appointment which cancelled 30 minutes later. Honestly these people at Dixie Animal Hospital are greedy and careless. Dont even think about making an appointment cause they will charge you just for that.

The most despicable animal hospital. Negligent staff. If you don't care about the life of your precious loved one, go ahead and leave them in the careless supervision of this disgusting team. You've been warned.

Very not pleased with there service, when making appointments they’re always so tight and giving you a time they give you a time you’re rushed to get there and then you wait an hour to be seen. Even if they put you in a room you’re waiting there half an hour a nurse comes in does mostly all the work, a doctor walks in for two minutes reading whatever the nurse wrote like she did all the work. Mary didn’t even wanna touch my dog like she was disgusted. What kind of freaked doctors they have here. Would not strongly recommend this place to no one there unprofessional all they’re doing is trying to push their pills and their medication was some of them is not necessary. I noticed this as I went to another doctor and figure this out.

Everyone was so nice. My bunny fell from a height, and I was so scared for her. The doctors were so comforting towards me, and handled my bunny with patience and gentleness. My bunny was very scared, but they made sure to put her on the floor so she doesn’t fall and let her jump around for a bit to get comfortable. They were not rough with her at all. Even when they gave her pain injection, they were quick and gentle. I am going to make this place my sole choice for vet care. These guys are great

This was my dog's primary vet for over 5 years. She sadly passed away the night after her last visit here, and Dixie Animal Hospital failed to send any condolences or a card, which hurt since she had been a long time patient of Dr. Chahal's.

I can not say enough about my visit with my cat Malibu at a very traumatic time for her and myself. The receptionists were very helpful and the Veterinarians were so helpful in helping my cat took the time to explain the results a few times lol I will be returning to this Vet emergency hosp I've been to many in the GTA Never pressured me for any unnecessary tests just what they needed 5stars! Thank you ️

I brought my dog here for artificial insemination did all the testing needed spent a bunch of money which the doctor recommended we did two inseminations we brought our stud the doctor couldn't even get the Seaman himself we should have took this as a sign.so I wasted money on the stud as well. The second time she was inseminated he couldn't find the camera device to do it properly all in all horrible experience tons of money wasted for no results doctor might be book smart but definitely not hands on very disappointed and I will be taking my dogs elsewhere. Look up this doctor he has multiple clinics if you want to avoid a headache look elsewhere this doctor is honestly just good at giving your dog shots and selling you stuff you don't need Avoid!

What kind of place this is! Such a non-sense. I was only one when I was there and made me wait more than 20 mins. The man looks like Vet was not at the washroom, not at the table for late lunch, just sitting rather lie down on his chair, looking at his cellphone. I do not think he cares your pet and or you.
I'd rather rate him '0' star rather than 1 star. I do not recommend this place AT ALL.

Look up this doctor on Google, you will find he has had multiple vet clinics in different names to get away from all the bad reviews. He works with puppy mills all over ontario, falsifying vet papers. If you care for your pet do not take them to Dr. Chahal. The good reviews on here are probably people that know him. There is a whole Facebook page dedicated to people's stories that have had terrible experiences with this vet. He also goes under the vet name of Lacoste Animal hospital.
