Worst experiences ever! From Reception to the Butchers in the Lab! I understand 'why' their office only recommends going to Emergency = they refuse to help! Time to find a new office!

I was looking for a family doctor - called the clinic asking if they take patients. The clinic told me to apply online. I applied and got a call back from them saying that they will take me as a patient and asked me to book and appointment online. I booked an appointment - showed up at the clinic 3-4 weeks later to find out that they cancelled my appointment. They mentioned that I didn't respond to an email that they sent. Apparently, the front office staff are allowed to cancel patient appointments without letting their own patients know. Not a call - or confirmation about anything. This is an absolutely embarrassment to Canada's health care system. Unbelievable and absolutely disgraceful.

This is the most in professional clinic. The front desk has the worst people skills I have ever had to deal with. My family will never step foot in this place. Don't understand how they still have people going there. Going to a walk in clinic you are treated better. The sad part is there are good Doctors there. But the do nothing about the front of the house.

If you want to wait for a doctor for over 2.5 hours even though you have an appointment and then be rushed once you’re seen for 5 minutes and have her not listen to anything you say, then Dr. Attalla is the right doctor for you. As for the front desk, the rudest that can be found. Needless to say. I’m glad I’m no longer a patient here. Don’t even bother wasting your time here.

Dr mireille attalla is extremely unprofessional, and won't uphold appointments made. She will keep you on the backburner for a long time before just upright cancelling the appointment after you already gave her your time by waiting.

That's right, just because you're here doesn't mean I won't leave a bad review for you. You don't get to dodge responsibility just because you cancelled my Tia health appointment.

What a joke. I hope everyone who values their health and time stays far away from this.

My family doctor is barwell. Very knowledgeable and sincere. Front desk wait times were pretty ridiculous not too long ago but they have changed up the system recently and you now get a place in the queue.

Like many other reviews, I share the same experience of being on hold for over an hour. On top of that, after all the wait and finally get an appointment with the doctor, the doctor orders a referral to a specialist, and I have been waiting for this office to tell me which specialist, for more than five months. Why is this ridiculous? Because my daughter’s doctor’s office is not as bad as this one. This is not a comment regarding the doctor because I barely spoke to her, this is about the administration.

I want to be clear, this is not to slam the people working in this clinic. I don't blame the employees for being overwhelmed or understaffed. I also am understanding of backlogs due to Covid etc, but regardless, I can't recommend this clinic to anyone. This place is just completely overwhelmed and isn't functioning. I can't trust the health of my family here. Wife and I had physicals booked for months but when that doctor left, no one let us know or switched it so when we confirmed our appt's they were gone. It literally takes at least 30 minutes to talk to anyone on average, sometimes longer. We have had to hound and nag to get blood req's sent out (each time waiting on hold) and looking at other reviews this is not an isolated complaint but more of a chronic situation. This place just has too few staff and too many patients. They are full. Can't recommend, all the best to everyone.

Terrible! The doctors office is a joke! Terrible staff it takes them 4 days to get a fax sent. I don’t know how they are functioning. They should be shut down.

DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR. I booked an in person appointment, which i had to wait 2 weeks for. I called the day before to confirm and they told me I wasn't booked in.so I booked another one and had to wait 2 more weeks.when I called to confirm, i was told it was a by-phone appointment to which iI said I needed to see a doctor in person. The receptionist lied and said that if I do a phone appointment then I would be able to book an in person for only a few days later and that i would hear from them to book it. When I called a few days later to book my appointment she then told me it would be A MONTH until I can see a doctor. That is a total of 2 months to have a doctor even look at me. I can assure you these people do not care about your health. AVIOD AT ALL COSTS. You're better off to go to a walk in.

While the Physicians are good, some of the reception staff is extremely rude, condescending, and has zero customer service skills.
In addition of course to the fact; whenever you call and you get lucky to speak with the rude receptionist after the lengthy unnecessary message, and 40minute of unjustified hold, they would tell you that the doctor is on vacation (which happens as a 1of3 ratio) …

If I could give no stars I would. Stay FAR, FAR away from this place. You'd honestly be better with no doctor than one from here. They have way too many patients in the practice and are solely focused on lining their own pockets with money. Patient care is not on their radar.
There is an hour long wait on the phone to book an appointment, the frontline staff are mostly rude and the office management leaves a lot to be desired.
On top of that there are ridiculously long wait times to see a dr. You have to know you'll need a doctor 2 weeks in advance.
My friends have decided to leave this practice having had horrible experiences from 3 different doctors here. From a missed diagnosis of cancer, a second doctor who simply didn't provide care for her patients. And a third who has done ireprepal damage to a vulnerable person. At least 3 of the doctors here have doneore harm than good. The office. And those three doctors should be investigated.

If you’re looking for a new doctor DO NOT come to this office. The staff is rude, you’re on hold for 45 minutes at a time. Doctors are always on vacation. They forget about super important time sensitive requisitions and forget to call in your prescriptions! This office is a mess!

Dr Richard Thorner ain't professional at all thinks their patient is lying to them whether its anxiety attacks or the foods they can intake, if i could switch doctors to the female doctor then it'd be much appreciated!

I switched my family doctor to this location and the doctor went on vacation for 3 months. It is impossible to make an appointment here. You will be put on hold for at least 15 minutes everytime you call. The staff and doctors are rude. I was berated by the doctor for 5 minutes about why I didn't make an appointment sooner. Do not use Dixie road medical associates. There are much better clinics in the city.

While the doctors are nice, it's virtually impossible to get through to the reception to book anything. I was on hold for 20 minutes then they hung up on me. Then I tried again on hold for 25 minutes and I finally gave up. They forgot to fax through the requisition for my mothers appointment at the specialist, and yet my mom was at her appointment at the specialist and they wouldn't take her. Therefore Customer Service at Dixie Road Medical is the worst!

Doctors are nice, but I don't like how they ask you to not go to walk ins and to come see your doctor and post signs about it within the office, but multiple times over the past few years that when you need a doctor you cannot get an appointment.its frustrating

They keep you on hold for 40 minutes at a time when you call their office. I filled out a new patient intake form, someone called me to set up the appointment. When I said I just need a referral they said they will call me back to see if I can get a virtual visit sooner. Still waiting for the call back!

I have been a patient here since Dr Baugniet began her practice. Even though I moved an hour away from Mississauga 15 years ago I have continued to be a patient at DRMA.
Dr Baugniet and all the staff are wonderful!
I have only the best things to say about the care I receive from the doctor, nurses and reception staff!

Dr. Morningstar is a great doctor and has been my Doctor for over 20 years. He has great bedside manner and has a personal touch like no other. He takes the time to make sure that you are well informed, educated and comforted. He is up to date with his practice skills and always in a positive mood. He does sometimes run a bit late but I always tell him it's worth the while waiting to see him. Also, nurse Sue is one of the greatest nurses there, she is always so pleasant and bubbly, she never looks stressed and looks like she enjoys her job, very nice to all the patients. As she calls you to the room, she would come in and chit chat with you for a minute. This is a great office and don't know how I will find a great Doctor like Dr. Morningstar when he retires. Doctors very professional and great, staff, nurses are wonderful and dedicated. This review is for the walk in on Saturday, I believe the management should really consider having 3 doctors instead of one for walk in. We have been here for 3 hours!

Great Doctors and Staff. I do suggest that they get a website to post hours for Office/Labs/Pharmacy that way we don't have to call. Just need to get updated on this.

It was either Four Stars or No Stars.

I came to the Dixie Medical Office as I recently moved into the area and it was suggested to me by my Husband, a non-patient.

Please Note: After uncovering my medical records were grossly tampered with by a former Family Physician and opening an investigation with the College of Physicians; I take extreme caution with matters of my personal health care and privacy of data.

Please Note: Dixie Medical is a very busy office. Should you be a Person with little time and patience, this may not be the Office for you.

When calling in, press 5 to speak with the front desk so to avoid the message service telling you to press 5 anyways.

Expect to be on hold 5-10-15 minutes.
The wait is long and most of the time the person answering is extremely customer service oriented however; there is one rude individual, that I’ve made sure to address with the Office.

I’ve been to this clinic multiple times since September 2018 and have been under the care of: Dr. Abeysinghe and agree that she is a cable Physician who takes the time with her patients. I book double appointments as my health concerns often require additional resources such as referrals.

Please book a double appointment should you be a new Patient or in need of additional support. This helps ensure the Medical Professional can take their time with each need and be billed accordingly.

Overall I’ve enjoyed having my health care readdressed with quality of life improving. There is still a long way to go but working with a Provider who can take the time to understand your individual concerns is vital to find solutions. Dr. Abeysinghe does this.

I’ve used the pharmacy with ease. Again, the Office is very busy and their may be a wait time. Staff is very helpful, when errors have happened they have moved to resolve this as promptly as possible.

Personally, I’ve only been urked by two incidences:

The first, by the rude individual (multiple occasions) who I now chalk up to how they function in a busy healthcare office.

Second, upon my second visit, my Husband and I stood waiting for our referrals when we overheard someone (Office Manager?) address my file and name with some derogatory inclination. I chalked this up to my medical file being read and will be following up on this as it pertains to: Matter That is Under Review.

Moral of the Story:

You’ll find good and bad care everywhere however; the quality of health care recieved is up for you to advocate for.

Truly the best doctors around. May take time to get in but when you're in they give you undivided attention. My currant doctor is the doctor that delivered me and was my grandmothers doctor and my parents and now mine and my wife. Don't know what I will do when he retires.

I have been going to Dixie Rd edical fir 44 years, as well as my parents and no my daughter. Receptionists/ nursing staff and Dr all have been outstanding. Thank you for everything.

Best doctors I’ve ever experienced! Same with the nurses and lab techs, all amazing and so they’re best to help and be compassionate/empathetic. Unfortunately they also have some of the most unpleasant admin staff. Agreed to the person who made a comment about the business manager, she has no compassion or care for customer service. The receptionists who answer the phone are rude, unhelpful and could care less about helping you effectively, they simply want you off the line. Not to mention they all (but one newer girl) seem to have a “you’re bothering me” attitude going on. All in all, with the exception of the disrespectful experience with the non medical staff, this clinic is well worth the visit
