I decided to try a collection agency after stressing myself out trying to chase my customers. I have received sales calls from Dixon Commercial Investigators in the past, and decided to try it out. Its literally like having another employee working for you. I am very happy with my decision.

I used Dixon to try and recoup past rent owed by multiple previous tenants of ours. The tenants ghosted me after trying myself for months. I no longer had any contact for most of them, but I was not ok with letting them get away with it. I decided it was time to make a statement, and get a collection agency to effect their credit so they don't do this with other landlords. Not only did I succeed with that, some tenants are paying and we have been getting a small check every month. We are very happy with our decision to hire them.

I signed up with them for 3 years to collect some of my bad debt from my clients. One of my client contacted me through 3rd person and asked to settle it and I called Samantha in Dixon to discuss the procedure if it's possible. She said I should not contact them directly so I didn't. After 2 months Dixon send me almost $6000 bill to pay Dixon commercial as 40% commission. I was so surprised that they send me the bill and closed the account without even discuss with me and send me the bill saying I breach the contract by contacting my client directly. I never contact my client, He sent me a message through 3rd person and i did the same, no call or email exchanged between me and my client, thats it. She didn't even call or email me to ask if my client contacted me or not. It's sad how Dixon commercial don't even bother to contact their client before they make any decisions about your account. It's sad, really sad.
So unprofessional staff.

Had a difficult distributor who kept making Excuses and bills piled up. Hired Dixon who put the gears to him and helped me during a very difficult time. Thank you very sincerely!

My complaints are the same as the other ones before me. They hound you to pay the $800.and call you and than as soon as you pay no one returns your calls or your emails. I have called probably 10 times to Jen and Victoria and no return calls. Not a good company to deal with.

Bad business, guy by the name of Marcus has been told more then once he has the wrong number. He continues to leave rude and aggressive messages on a minors cell phone.
When I finally called he claims he never called, till he hears himself on the voicemail.
After telling him your calling a minor, and stop calling, he still calls! This man needs to be charged with harassment charges!
When your told its the wrong number and you hear a young child on the voicemail. GET THE POINT AND STOP HARRASSING A CHILD!

This company are frauds.
They took $11000.00 and i got 9000.00
back once it was finally resolved and I was on the phone daily with them. It was a Hassel. They do NOTHINHG but take the $$$.

Fraudulent company. The moment you contact them about an inquiry into their company they will actually hound you like a dog after a bone trying to get your business. The moment you hire them and pay them their service fees they disappear and then send you random invoices. They will then threaten you with legal action if you refuse to pay. You know……. The stuff they are supposed to be doing to your debtors. Well they do it to you. It’s a boiler room scam. Im considering flying down to meet with them at their office in Ontario and see if we can come to an agreement on return of my money.

Not sure if anyone has dealt with a girl named Emma has been abusing and harassing my boyfriend and I for a month now disrespectful doesn't know to talk to people at all. Assumes people dont have jobs cause we're not paying for something we've never owned or rented a vehicle from dixons honestly hate that we have to put a star to post bad reviews

This was faxed to or office. Firstly if you are going to fax, send a clear copy. Secondly, who faxes anymore? A very poor reflection of an outdated company desperate for business.

One of my delinquent accounts…. WORKS AT DIXON. This company refuses to allow me to get threw to a manager to resolve this issue, at one point someone tried to play manager, and then I found out they just started two weeks ago. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! The sales team is great except for Buffy who owes me money.

They cold call individuals on personal numbers that are on the DNC Registry and refuse to remove them. Super shady sales tactics and utterly disgusting practice.

We have submitted a few clams to them and they have not gotten back to us. Even though we have a 3 year contract together.
Poor communication.

Our company received a call from Dixon. An angry, pushy sounding woman asked to speak to our accounts receivables without saying who she was, what company she was calling on behalf of, and didn't even say good bye when we said we weren't interested. Just "wow" and hung up.

Are you kidding me? Good luck with your solicitation of sales. Yikes.

I called and asked for an account manager 8 different calls this morning. All calls were hung up immediately.
They have no customer service skills! I actually was calling for 2 matters to speak to my Sale Managers and file a complaint but now I'm asking for a refund and will go elsewhere!

They collected on my behalf 3 months ago and I only found out when I reached out to the customer myself last week to threaten small claims court.

I have emailed Dixon Monday Thursday and called 2x today and asked for a manager to call me and nothing.

Waste of time.
We paid them $625 and all I did was make two phone calls, then they came back to us and wanted another $2,500 if they were to do anything further.
They were a complete waste of our time, I ended up firing them, spending the next year collecting the money myself, and then got a bill for 10% from Dixon even though they didn't help at all.
I think they are now in the process of putting me in collections to get their money. Run away, don't use them.

We have a worse experience with a Dixon Commercial Investigators, they recovered the money from one of our customer but not paid to us. So, please think twice before hire them.

Total waste of $800.00. DO NOT hire these people. I don't know what upsets me more, having to chase a client or being ripped off by Dixon Commercial. They'll promise you the world but that's the sales pitch to get your $800.00. They'll promise to send invoices with interest to the client ("no need to do it yourself sir") but that never happened. Now they send me correspondence asking if I have more files to send to them. That won't happen. Stay away, don't be fooled into paying these people anything.

This review is long overdue, don not use this company it is a complete waste of time. Your best bet if someone owe's you money, take them to court. Do not hesitate and you will save yourself a whole lot of grief.

If you are in arrears with your clients and you area business owner small or large and considering using DIXON to collect on your behalf. I STRONGLY URGE YOU TO READ THIS REVIEW:

The Sales department will put on a great face during the time of onboarding and make you feel like they have organizational agility, high business acumen and that their customer service is top-notch and being that it is so difficult these days to find a reputable and solid agency you will likely think to yourself.well this is probably my best option.

This is when you need to reconsider and do more research, make a few more calls and explore other options because as soon as you provide your credit card information to them is the moment that the "support" promised to you by the sales department disappears. They don't care about anything more than the sale and whatever KPI's they need to meet.

After I was onboarded, they lost my paperwork (legal information about judgments) on more than one occasion might I add; that or they used this as an excuse not to enter them. Had I have not followed up perhaps they would have never got them in the system; not to mention this contains sensitive information.

Next, the member ID / Account that is supposed to be set-up within 24-48 hours; well don't expect a log-in anytime soon. They stated they set it up. They didn't and if they did, they didn't send me log-in credentials. I asked for this to be completed on multiple occasions. My email thread is endless. I was provided access a month after signing on.

Once I signed in to my member account which is not very robust in respect to the data that can seen, I found that only 1 (one) of my accounts was actually listed. What happened to the other accounts for the last month? They don't know; "Someone must have not entered them. " was the answer I received.

At this point, I did what any sensible person would do. The work wasn't initiated and services weren't provided for over a month, so I decided to cancel and request a refund or at least a resolution that would compensate me the payee for not receiving the service I paid for.

Since 1982 they have been around. You think by now they would have procedures in place to handle such concerns. Here's the procedure.

IGNORE. IGNORE. IGNORE.

I sent countless emails to talk to a manager. I called and documented countless calls where they promised that a manager will be in touch to handle the matter. No one called. No one cared.

Then I got a letter stating that they upheld their contractual obligations and that my request was denied. I called as I was quite upset by how it was handled and there was no empathy or desire to resolve. The supervisor said "What do you want me to do, out your file ahead of the other 100 people? "

No, I want transparency. I don't want to be provided with false deadlines and promises as to when to expect service to take place. I used the analogy of taking her vehicle in to be serviced. If the mechanic states that he will get to your vehicle within 24-48 hours and it's sitting there un-touched after a month of being there. Let me ask you this.

Would you still allow them to keep your business or would you go elsewhere. My advice? Go elsewhere.

Pay a higher commission and go with someone else. This company is unreliable and has the worst customer service department. In fact, they do not have a customer service department. Either the staff requires coaching or need to be paid or treated better because you will soon find that it is reflective of the service you receive.

Don't waste your money. More importantly don't waste your time. It's too valuable.

We hired Dixon for quite a few years. Over the last 2 years - they are non-responsive and it is impossible to reach anyone.
We had to pursue collections further ourselves. Physically going to businesses that owed us money and negotiating payments and then Dixon sends us a bill to get their fee!
Amazing! They have never provided an update on ANY file, we can't get a hold on anyone that will call us back to discuss open files, if we spend our time and resources to negotiate directly with our clients to get paid - Dixon sends us 'faxes' to tell us we need to pay them their cut.
Absolute horrible customer service. DO NOT use this company to do your collections - they take your money and do not respond after.

One word to describe this company-Pathetic. You hire them to hound your clients, but you have to hound them to even lift the phone. It's been over a year and I've seen nothing and have to call in for any updates at all. Which are nothing. Don't waste your money, the good reviews are fake.

It has been over a year since Dixon Commercial confirmed, in writing that the file against me is CLOSED after presenting them with substantial court documentation (evidence) of the unlawful and unwarranted claim against me. HOWEVER, I continue to receive harassing emails and post mailed letters threatening legal action! When I contact their office they verbally confirm that the file is indeed closed, but that the emails and letters are “computer generated “ in error to disregard. They refuse to admit to this “computer generated” error in writing, let alone a written apology. How is this an acceptable business practice? ! Especially when the HARASSMENT has continued for over a year! This is not a fair way to treat any law abiding human beings. DIXON COMMERCIAL IS AWARE THAT THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THEIR “COMPUTER” (for over a year where I am concerned). SO WHY AREN’T THEY FIXING IT? !
