Dock Of The Bay Steak & Seafood Grille

Eaten here twice. Food does not disappoint. The pasta is freshly made and the seafood is so fresh. Beautiful views. There’s a nearby dock you can walk to. Too bad they close during the Fall/Winter season.

Excellent steakhouse! Excellent food and drinks, and even better view and atmosphere. I couldn’t have asked for a better evening and meal. Will gladly return!

We went there with family friends, we waited 45 mins for our food. We had stake, sandwiches, fish and chips, texas brisket. Texas brisket was good, but not stake and others. Very bad sevice, lond wait

10/10 from the start- Jen our server was wonderful! She was passionate about the food being served, was so incredibly friendly and checked in on us many times from the moment we sat down.

We had the grilled calamari and ahi-tuna for apps and then the linguine pescatori and shrimp and scallop spaghettini. Absolutely delicious! Cooked to perfection, fresh and made in house including the pasta.

To finish off, we had the lemon cheesecake. WOW! You can tell Jen has a passion for baking. Chefs kiss!

Amazing place with astonishing view and perfect, tasty food. The staff is super friendly and helpful. We ordered a few dishes and all of them were super tasty and freshly made. They have a few good bears on tap. The Banana cake for dessert was also fantastic.

The food was excellent, and the views from the patio were amazing. The patio is on the waters edge overlooking the marina with views out into the bay and islands.
The service on this day was a little below average.wrong drinks delivered, no water at the table, and forgotten when we asked.
Taking bottles a ketchup from tables still eating to give to the next table instead of getting another bottle from the kitchen. It almost seemed like a friend or family member was helping out for a staff shortage. If that was the case, she did pretty good. If not, then it was below average service. The menu is a little pricey, but the food is very good.
Overall an excellent lunch and I would recommend giving it a try, although you really need the patio experience to fully appreciate this restaurant.
Park across the road at the municipal lot as parking in front of, or near, the restaurant is usually packed.

We were visiting the region and decided to treat ourselves to a good meal. It's a family run business and all the family members work there. They are friendly, welcoming and accommodating. Our server looked after us well. We ordered the rack of lamp and chicken. Food tasted amazing especially the lamb. Though it's a bit pricey, it's worth every penny and you must try at least once. We will definitely come again. Outside seating has breathtaking views of the lake.

A great restaurant on the water overlooking the boat museum and Muskoka Bay. The service is excellent with quality food professionally presented. We have dinned here many times for lunch and dinner and will continue to do so.

Nice and relaxed atmosphere by the water with soothing background music.
Lunch was excellent, my wife had the shrimp and scallop spaghettini and I the linguine pescatori. We'll definitely be stopping by again soon.

The service was friendly and knowledgeable, the food freshly made, very tasty and generally a great experience.

Best things to order here are:
1. MUST GET - White chocolate crème brûlée
2. Crab cake appetizer - SO good
3. Get the Bison Ribeye for sure.

(The scallop pasta wasn’t the best, but the scallop tray was amazing)

Lovely fine dining restaurant with great views of the lake. Service and atmosphere is excellent. Linguini dish had good flavour and though the pasta was probably made in house, it was too overcooked and clumpy and wasn't as good as store bought dried pasta. We also had the chef's special braised veal cheek and it wasn't good (to me). It is served on a thick slice of baked sweet potato and mushroom gravy with a side of steamed vegetables. What I didn't like was that the veal cheek was too rich. Perhaps pairing it with some carbs would have helped cut the richness of the protein (the sweet potatoe is definitely good but didn't help cut the richness). Crabcakes were very good, grilled calamari was ok. It was over cooked so a bit rubbery and the excess char made it a bit bitter. The lemon cheesecake is very good as well as the chocolate cake with tiramisu filling (they claim it is made in house). The pina colada is very good also. I didn't take any stars away for the food rating because I felt it was my personal preference and not a reflection of the establishment itself. Our neighboring table commented they enjoyed their meal and the restaurant was somewhat full indicating it must be good.

Good food without being amazing. Brisket sandwich pictured. Lovely setting on the water. Music slightly off putting making the ambience odd. Good service. Not the cheapest option around.

One of the best restaurants in muskoka. You can feel the love and passion in this place.

At beginning of season, Wayne and staff accommodated our big group despite uncertain numbers. Every interaction was friendly, welcoming, and professional. When we arrived, staff were excellent, food was oh-so-delicious, view was great. Everyone in our group was very happy with their meals and experience. I highly recommend Dock of the Bay.
