A month ago we had Dodds install a new door for our garage and we were overall very happy with picking them over another company or contractor to do this. Their service is very professional and they provided recommendations to us and completed the installation in a couple hours. Highly recommend this company if you are looking for installation of a high quality steel door for your garage. Thanks to Mr. Mustafa for making the change easy and seamless. We also opted to get a belt system vs.chain drive for the garage which is a lot more quieter and does not require as much maintenance and upkeep.

I called Dodds Garage Door Systems to have my garage door fixed and was given a quote of $700.00. I asked the technician why it was so high and he told me that I needed to replace my garage door opener with a new one, which he estimated would be $400.00. I asked him why the company was quoting me two different prices and he said that that was the price they would charge. I thought this was very dishonest and couldn't believe he would say that but was willing to pay the $400.00 quote.

I couldn't open our garage door this morning. I called Dodd's. They had a technician at our home 45 minutes later. Roberto was fantastic. He discovered that the spring was broken and had it repaired and operating a half hour later.

Cannot ask for better service than that!

When my garage door broke, I called Dodds for a repair. I was very disappointed when they showed up late and didn't fix it. They also charged me an extra $200 for the service. I was not happy with the service and would never recommend them to anyone.

I'm highly disappointed with Dodds Garage Door Systems. They claim to be experts in garage door repair and installation, but their services are poor. I had to wait for days for an estimate and then pay for the service after a two-week period of waiting. I felt that the company was taking a long time to fix my door because they were trying to get more cash out of me by delaying the estimate. I'm not a fan of the company and the services they offer.

Had our garage doors installed yesterday, we were told they would be ready in January, who ever heard of a company being early? ! Flawless installation, installer was friendly and knowledgeable, doors look amazing, bonus they were a little less expensive than everyone else.

Recently, we had a panel on our garage doors replaced and luckily, they were under warranty. The gentlemen who installed our new panels was wonderful to deal with, very helpful, knowledgeable and professional! He noticed our framing had some damage and let me know there was a new product, capping that could be done around the garage doors to improve the insulation and overall look. Unfortunately, I can't remember his name otherwise I would have mentioned him because the service was exceptional. I also spoke with Denise in Sales who was also wonderful to deal with, she provided more information on the product and then we decided to go ahead with the capping on all our garage doors. They placed the order asap so that it would be possible to get this job done before the winter weather. Once again, the technician, Zaza assigned came to our house to install the capping, he was punctual, very knowledgeable and professional! Zaza did an excellent job with great attention to detail; the garage doors look great, and we are very happy with our doors and the customer service from the Dodds team! Thank you!

Dodds Garage Door Systems was a fantastic experience having a new door installed at our build. They were responsive and extremely well priced for the high quality service they provide. I dealt with a sales rep Michael and his manager Darryl who help navigate me through different options that would be best suited for the look of our house. When I left the purchase to the last minute, they were able to expedite my order and exceed my expectations on delivery and install timing. They even had someone on site providing me updates with photos during install, as I was away. Our garage door motor stopped working (11 years old). Chris confirmed we needed a new one, so we called Denise in the office to select one. She told us that ours carried a lifetime warranty and helped us contact the manufacturer. Sure enough, we have a brand new one coming! She saved us at least $700, so needless to say.we will be using Dodds to install it! Fantastic customer service! Highly recommend.

I have been with Dodds for 15 years and spent close to $10,000 changing doors and motors over the years. I was disappointed when I was given a quote for $400 to change the springs that was changed to $450 plus HST. I shopped around and was able to get the same $400 and paid $100 to change the rusted out pulleys and cords for three doors for a total of $700 plus HST and three years warranty. Don’t take their word that it is the best deal- always shop for 3 quotes!

Installed new garage door.very trendy design.had, to wait few months for delivery due, to Covid and truck convoy.border issues for everyone.but happily it came and we are thrilled with new door, and customer service of. DODD’s staff and administration. 5 STARS!

2nd time I used Dodds. Great experience. Fast and very knowledgeable. The fact that the same person who fixed my garage door the first time 2 years ago, was the same person who fixed my other side, tells me alot about the organization. They are definitely customer focused and provide a excellent customer experience. This organization comes highly recommended.

We have ordered from Dodds because of their reputation, good sale person and a reasonable competitive price. Afterwards - not sure it was worth it.
The wait was long but we didn't really mind it. All the issues started immediately AFTER the installers left. I have to mention here that in our understanding the installers should have seen all of the problems as they were installing and not to leave it as-is only to be confirmed later by another installer coming to assess the damage. Whether the ones who do the installation don't know how to do the job or they consciously choose to ignore the issues - either is wrong and doesn't complement the company. First we noticed dents on the newly installed door that were smart "covered" by the technicians by simply leaving the door open after quickly showing that it works = either the door came dented or got dented during the installation. Then we discovered that they used some of the rollers and hinges from our old door while they advertise the Silent Nylon Ball Bearing Rollers and other accessories as they Key Features = did they come not prepare or broke it? !? The worse is that the door came longer than the actual required size. As a result the window on the top panel is higher than the door frame and gets stuck under the frame when the door is fully closed (not sure it won't break this way) + the wrong length of the door prevents it from going all the way tight with the frame therefore there is no full insolation and no seals between sections preventing airflow into garage + the visible defect.
So here we are in the winter having all the issues that Dodds are proudly claiming their customers won't have - no isolation, no properly sized door, no proper rollers all the way, dents and hidden windows. To top it up - now we need to wait another 8 weeks (maybe more) to get the replacement section and parts + work + emails & follow ups and who knows what more. What for? I don't recall this being included in the contract we signed with Dodds. Believe it or not but we have enough of other things to worry about.
Bottom line - very disappointed! If it would be my business, I'd rather admit to the customer up front during the installation that there are issues (I believe a wrong sized door is a pretty big issue, won't you agree?) but earn & keep some of customers' respect (every one can make a mistake, not every one has guts to admit it) than to end up with frustrated unhappy and not trusting customer who most likely won't recommend me.
The only thing that turned to be as described is the powerful quiet motor. The rest of the promises - just words.
BTW we are still in the process to get it fixed. Wish us good luck.

We had our replacement garage doors installed yesterday and are thrilled with the results. This was our first experience dealing with Dodds and would highly recommend them.

Sales rep Trevor was professional and friendly. He provided a lot information, brought samples to our home and answered all our questions. The installer, Ulysses (apologies if that's not spelled quite right) arrived on time, worked diligently despite the cold and left the area clean. Each call into the office was handled efficiently.

We hope the Dodds Canadian Series doors hold up well for many years. They are a big improvement in both look and function.

Great service! Wil the service man was at my home early but I was at work. He called and he agreed to come back later when I was home and he did. He fixed my garage door and provided me with tips on how to maintain it.

I have dealt with Dodd’s a couple of times in the last twenty years. The quality of their work is so superior that I don’t call them unless something is broken. The people that makeup this organization really care about doing the job right and take the time to explain everything. Today I was very fortunate to get Dan Rose and he was truly exceptional. He addressed and fixed all my issues for which I am truly grateful. All the staff that I dealt with yesterday and today went beyond the call of duty including Anat. While the quality of the door is excellent, there were some installation issues with the door that have required multiple visits from the company. They have come to fix the issues, but we there have been questions regarding warranty even though it was an installation issue. These issues seemed to have changed under new ownership, so hopefully our recent repair will finally fix our issues.

Dodd's has been amazing? I would most definitely recommend them for garage doors. I had three garage doors installed and was not 100% happy.they corrected the issue and I went from night to day. I am completely satisified with them. From the Sales Team to the Installation Team to the Accounting Team.they are definitely number one! I would highly recommend them!

It took them 1 year to install the garage door (understandable due to covid), although my neighbour got it done in 4 months from another company. When they came to install the garage door, the upper panel glass ended up being broken (either it came like that from the factory or the installer broke it, we will never know). They agreed to replace it which was great, not issues, these things happen. 6 moths later the replacement comes and they install it. After a year, they have not completed the door capping. They said someone would come and they still haven't come. At this rate it will be almost 1.5 years before I got my garage door replaced. I think it would have been easier to build the door myself. They are not the cheapest, but decided to pay a bit more for the name/years in business. Trip shopping around.

Been waiting 2 1/2 weeks for a quote. Very poor response. Can only assume if I can't get a timely response when trying to secure my business, would be much more difficult to get support should an issue arise.

The snazzy 680 News radio ad (banjo on knee song) was memorable to us as well as to other friends and family who used them. They came, they quoted (comparable to subsequent others) we accepted, they took a deposit and gave us a timeline. They filled it and we paid the balance.

I just moved in to the new place and garage door fried. My partner called Dodds because we've heard the radio ads. The tech Brian came out to our place, he was on time, professional and very informative. Apparently the motor was very old and needed a replacement. Costly? Yes. Instant gratification? Absolutely. Will hire again? I hope not but if needed Dodds is the place to be. Thanks for your service.

On Monday I got a call from the owner, wanting to understand what had happened. After our discussion I was ensured that my problem with the capping will be done this week. I am delighted to say he has delivered on his promise, the capping was done to my satisfaction yesterday. Phenomenal service. Quick, courteous, expert. They were able to salvage our old garage door and revamp it to mechanize it rather than needing to replace it. Absolutely would recommend!

This company is not interested in doing small residential garage door. Someone came to my neighbor for a quote and was very rude and wasn't really interested in the job. Too bad as even the large companies lose business with customer service like this. Not recommended at all.

Mike gave me a quote that was on the high-end, but we believed we are getting a superior door and service, not sure anymore. We asked who’s the manufacturer and he said they have their own. Needles to say we were surprised to see the CHI label on the door itself. Also asked for the windows and he said are 1/2” solid glass, not true but anyway we decided to let it “fly”, we said maybe he is new and it’s honest mistake. Few weeks later when the guy showed up for installation (O’neil), he was rather rude towards my wife who was excited to see the door finally installed and had some questions.
To save money I opted out to put the garage door opener and door opening boards/frame myself, no capping or anything else. When I installed the side garage door opener, without connecting it to the power, first I tried to operate the door manually and the door cable came loose. I called and they send the same installer who fixed the it, but with “don’t want to be here” attitude. Since I uncoupled the motor and asked if I can connect the motor and try to operate the door in his presence, not even in manual mode (not powered) he didn’t want to hear and distanced himself as not his responsibility. I called the office and asked for help from Denise and instead, after he conversation with the installer, I was told that it is impossible what I described (I must have operated the door with the opener powered), essentially calling me a liar and said that her manager will call me next day.
Very disappointed from all three persons, I will not recommend them to anyone. Don’t know what is worse, the salesperson lies, the installer rudeness or the non existing customer service. One thing for sure is that they made it clear that the warranty is only on the parts, not on the door as a system and its functionality.

We had our doors replaced by Dodds a number of years ago but didn't replace the automatic openers. We were very happy with the doors but the old openers started to fail after a few more years use. Today we had the openers upgraded to 3/4 hp. Amazing difference. Very easy to use. Remote has both doors on it and can be used on my key chain. Great key pad outside and very quiet action. Very happy!

Easy took deal with. Everything happened as they said it would, on time and clean installation. Recommend getting the capping, really finished the look.

The door broke on Sunday. I called for repair on Monday. The problem was fixed by noon on Tuesday. Fast, efficient, reliable and worth every penny. I can't use enough positives for these guys. Fantastic service!

I have had a couple of minor issues with my doors over the last 2 years since they were installed, and they were fixed immediately at no cost to me. On both occasions the techs were great. After surveying my neighbourhood for styles of garage doors we decided on a style and called garage door for a salesman. He came to the appointment on time an was extremely knowledgeable and we purchased the door that day. Delivery and installation was on schedule and we are more than satisfied with the final product. We highly recommend Dodds to anyone who is contemplating a new garage door.

Very disappointed after initial sales call. Installer didnt show, company just gave various excuses. Customer had to follow up multiple times and was passed around. Cancelled the order as no confidence in what customer service will look like if it's this bad before they had full payment and did the instal!

Scott gave me a quote that was reasonable. 3 weeks later when the guy showed up for installation (who was great and super knowledgeable) the quote he had was $1000 more, putting garage door openers on it when I didn't need any. They also brought the wrong windows. It also taken another 3 weeks for them to put the capping and decorative on.

The garage door was delivered and installed on the day the work was scheduled.
We needed the door to be installed earlier than the 4 weeks we were originally given, and we were well accommodated. The door was installed in two weeks. The installer was knowledgeable about the door and it’s operation, did a good job with the installation and cleaned up well after he carted the door away. The only glitch was, the he could not leave us a sample of the colour of the door for the trim, and the office had to be reminded to send one to us. But we are very happy with the door. It runs smoothly.

We found Dodds to be very professional in every respect. Beginning with the free quote, the installation and follow up, each person was pleasant to deal with and excellent at their job. We would highly recommend using them. We are extremely pleased with the product and how they installed it.

My experience with Dodd's Garage Doors was very good. Everyone was very professional and the door was installed as per the timeline that I was quoted.

My very old garage door opened failed. I bought a new one, intending to install it myself. Then I read the instructions and realized it would take me a long time to install it, plus I would need help to lift it into place. I called Dodd's and they sent someone same day to install it for me.
Rob spent over 2 hours removing the old unit, installing the new one, setting up the control panel and showing me the features. Great service, friendly and capable technician, no mess left behind and a reasonable price. Very happy about all of this.

Very trusting company. Was never pressured for payment. Paid same day by C. C.about 11days after job completion when I received by email the invoice for job.

Good quality doors. Installed well. After install clean up could be better. My garage is a with finished walls. The installer and i were not informed by the sales rep that parts of the drywall would need to be removed. Installer does not replace the drywall he rips out. I had to replace the drywall.
