TURN THE RADIO VOLUME DOWN!
PLEASE!
I have been a regular client there for over 10 years. I have nothing bad to say about the products, the prices or the customer service. The reason for which I gave only one star is the LOUD, annoying music! I don’t know when I first noticed, but now every time I enter, this awful music makes me leave before getting all the things I want.
Tonight was my breaking point! Too many times; I must say something somewhere! Especially thinking about all the hard-working employees who are subjected to, and most likely are suffering from, the worst radio station I’ve ever heard that LOUDLY!
While choice of music is of course a matter of taste and I really have no right to demand my favourite music, I do know that the volume is a physical nuisance to me- and I frequently leave before reaching the end of my shopping list. Therefore, they have lost and will continue to lose sales from myself and from other sane human beings due to this ridiculous « ambiance ». Furthermore, it represents a dangerously detrimental decibel intensity for the workers who have no choice but to progressively experience both mental torture and physical damage to their hearing.
I can’t last more than fifteen minutes - my heart goes out to one who spends 35 hours a week in there… I cannot even imagine myself doing this difficult job of cashier for one day with this nonsense in the background. Such a lack of respect! If none of the employees ever complained about the volume of the music (which I doubt), then, I do it for them!
Please Turn the F****** volume down, at least for your employees. They deserve a bonus just for the amount of time they already spent enduring that.
I miss even more the nearby DollarTree that closed for good recently.
Having no choice but continuing to be a neighbour regular customer. I wonder how long it will take me before I contact WSIB about these outrageous working conditions!

Complaint: 293 Coxwell Ave 10: 40am

This has always my go to store and have spent countless money at this store. Unfortunately, today I took my elderly mom here to get some halls & other items totalling to $15.91. My mom gave change and cashier said she cannot accept that much change? Ok.so my poor mom pulls out her wallet, making a line just to be embarrassed to try to pull out bills to pay when clearly there was already enough change. She pulls out $5 bill and a few toonies/loonies and quarters and the lady STILL refuses. I have never seen someone do this…. Especially under $20. This is unacceptable as it is still cash. After her still embarrassing her and holding up the line when she can clearly take the MONEY…. And was clearly too lazy to count the money (even saying she can’t count it) ? And I had to count it FOR HER than still refuses… I just didn’t bother. I gave back the items and from now on will be going to the dollar tree beside this one as they treat their customers especially the elderly with respect. This is very sad and disappointing. Please teach your employees how to treat your customers. There are multiple reviews that are the same about rude employees….

I love dollarama. This location has a pretty good stock. I think the prices have gotten out of control, just a bit. I guess since covid lots have, but come on, it's a dollar store for a reason. I'm not sure u can find anything for a dollar. Some things are worth it, while others, not so much. I do believe this location is closing down soon. Kinda sucks thank you, covid and condos they have, and are taken over everywhere.

Clean, well-kept store. Aisles are a bit narrower than at many other stores. They haven't started with a self-checkout yet, but lines don't often get unreasonable. Street parking and good public transit access.

If you're on a budget, then this is a great place to shop. They have a wide selection of things. Things for the home, office crafts and food too. Shopping here won't break the bank.

What's not to love. The prices on almost everything in the store is $1.25. Can buy your non-perishable items like household cleaning supplies, toilet paper and light bulbs for next to nothing. Visit soon please. It has changed inexorably. The prices of almost every item has risen appreciably. To much so in relation to the Dollar Tree whose prices are all $1.50. Candy bars and chips are all $1.25

Be aware that the price shown may not be the priced charged, even if you point out the price discrepancy. They will correct the price on max two items only per corporate policy. (ie, I bought 6 rolls of ribbon, tagged at $1.25 and scanned at $1.50. They would price correct only two.) I understand that price for importing has increased dramatically, that does not mean they should not advise customers of price increases by way of a banner or similar.

The store fine—it’s a dollar store but the back is a mess, they need to clean it up. It’s a disservice to the neighbourhood.

I saw two people stealing in the store and i let the cashier (girl) know about it but they walked away infront of her but she didn’t stop them or anything

This Dollarama is really nice. I found everything that I needed quickly and easily. There's a great selection of items and the prices are right. This place is located close to grocery stores and other shops so you can do all your shopping in one neighborhood. There's even a TTC stops near by!

Shelves are well stocked, and logically setup.
Good selection because of abovementioned setup.

I like shopping here, but the last time i came here, the cashier forgot to give me some of the stuff i bought, i had to come back with my receipt and get it, so frustrating and inconvenient!

I’ve lived near this dollar store for over 10 years. It’s a wonderful place with lots of stuff and wonderful staff! The staff are very friendly! Will continue going here

Well stocked, clean store but I found a few employee's were unhelpful & I felt they were following me around like I was going to shoplift. Felt very uncomfortable.

What can I say the dollar store is great for everyday things you don't want to break the bank on, grab it when you see it because it might not be there the next time you go

Love it here. They have many items for cheap and when I went there was barely anyone. The staff were also very good with social distancing and wearing masks.

The ppl in the store behaved poorly. They went up and down the aisles indiscriminately and kids were walking around without parental supervision Caused extra stress and I cannot fault the staff.

The last time I was there I stayed less than 5 minutes before abandoning my basket and leaving.
The air conditioning wasn't working and it was soooo hot outside, I thought I was gonna pass out.
Everyone was complaining as it made eating a protection mask impossible.
Other than THAT, there have been times where I've been impressed by the low prices for things I've seen at Shoppers Drug Mart or the grocery store.
However there are some items that are made for Dollarama therefore the item is smaller making it less cost effective!
The staff is pretty nice.

For a Dollarama it's ok, all the stuff they sell is the same as every other Dollarama. It's good for kitchen stuff and plates and cuttlery. Even cleaning products are poor quality at Dollarama. Honestly, ask yourself: "do I need to buy weird things, that are probably saturated in toxins, to support a corrupt Chinese dictatorship? " I decided to not even by birdseed made in China because it's probably toxic.

Ive always had a good experience shopping here, and it is one of the few reasons for me to continue to shop the dollarama brand (I have had bad experiences at other locations)

Also the carlaw location is very good.

I’ve been a regular customer at this location for a few years now, unfortunately not anymore. A couple days ago I bought a few things from Dollarama and received a fake bill. I didn’t notice the fake bill until I went to go cash something at the Dollar Tree and they informed me that the bill was fake. I retraced my steps and realized that Dollarama was the last place that I used cash. I previously went to the bank and took out all 20’s, reason why I know the bill wasn’t from the bank. I went back to Dollarama and explained the situation. They said to take the fake bill to the bank and that they would exchange it for a real one. What kind of bogus is that? ! I replied with how the bank wouldn’t accept fake bills because anyone could bring in fake cash and get an exchange. The employee told me that there was no proof that the bill came from there so there was nothing that they can do. There was another employee who was mumbling while I was having a conversation with another. Under her breath I heard her ask why I waited a couple days to come back and not the following day. I made it clear that I didn’t know the bill was fake until I tried using it at Dollar Tree that day and how it wasn’t my fault that Dollarama was handing out fake cash. She laughed claiming how they weren’t handing out fake cash. First of all, I don’t understand why she’s interrupting when she brought out the other employee to talk to in the beginning. Second, no need to be rude to a customer for no reason. I don’t understand how she even got a job there to begin with and she’s lucky that I didn’t get her name to broadcast to the world how bad her customer service was. Now I’m stuck with a fake bill and know exactly where I got it from. They could of at least exchanged the bill for me since apparently they can just go to the bank and hand in fake cash. What a load of bull! They haven’t heard the last of me. I definitely don’t recommend this location and make sure you check your bills!

I absolutely love this Dollarama! It has everything you need and more! I think, this place has best selection

It is a bit chaotic, and no one to assist. I guess this lines up with past Dollar store experiences, thus no surprises in terms of exceeding any expectations.
