Dollarama

Go to place for cheap snax and various odds 'n Sods.
Prices have REALLY gone up though. I'm addicted to the cheap canned mystery meat (don't judge, cheap& filling, good for camping), but in 2 years it's gone from $1.50 to $2.50! As many other items have.

They didn’t let my toddler use the washroom.
A female young employee was very very rude and denied the washroom to my kid.
Told us to go somewhere else.
Worst customer service! Not consideration for a toddler that needed to go to washroom so badly.

Straight forward dollar store. Always a surprise and deal to be found. Clean and easy to get to.

Me and a group of friends like to go into dollar store on a daily to fulfill our needs and continues to follow use around the store getting in our personal space. He has and large orange beard that sticks out of his unwashed mask. We got yelled at for walking out of the door with him saying “your blocking the door” he should not be working near a school if he can’t handle kids coming into the store just to shop

Dude w da orange beard is very rude he lucky he ain’t catch me outside these hands r for everyone ‍️‍️‍️‍️‍️ he also needa cut his over grown beard thinking I’m stealing

Walk threw here like twice a week.
Good service Isles are a little cramped up, other than that great store

The layout has changed, which was weird, BUT.it's still stocked with lots of cool things/snacks/drinks/etc.and also appears to be the first Dollarama in town with self-checkouts, which is interesting.

It's pretty good for cheap stuff. I mean it's low quality but for cheaper prices. Therefore I rate it 4 stars. Some good quality items (stuffed animals, pop exc)

Terrible. Rude staff. Store looks bad. Garbage in the aisles. When asked where something was was met with annoyance. Bizarre way to do business.

Newly renovated store. Long aisles and huge selection of merchandise.
Now has self checkout.

The dollarama has some good items, but the lady at the check out for some reason keeps staring at us when we are at the self checkout stations lol. She has her own customers to attend, but still her eyes are on us hmm seems a little racist to me.
She is doing her job, she should treat all equally and stare at everyone. Will try to avoid this shop.

Always good service here the staff are friendly. I am gonna boycott all businesses that have self-checkout though as it is erasing much needed jobs. Good variety of everything too but again I'm slowly weening myself off any Canadian business that has all products from China

This south end location has way more variety than other locations. I dunno whybut it always seems that way.

I love Dollarama, but this location needs better people. There's always the same older woman at checkout who has a negative comment for everything. She's previously even yelled at me because she disagreed with how I placed things in my bag. I avoid this Dollarama whenever possible and will go to other locations. Sucks, because it's in a really convenient location.

If you enjoy waiting obscene amounts of time while three staff manage one register, this is the place for you! Plus side, prices are good.

The cashier had a great personality - something that's lacking today at so many places of business.

I understand with Covid-19 now being part of our lives that social distancing is a must. But I don’t understand why customers have to grab a cart to distance. Personally the less I have to touch the less I fear of catching Covid-19. I went to get 1 item I still had to grab a cart. I’m not comfortable with that. Because I refused to grab a cart the employees yelled at me in front of all the other customers. I can socially distance without having to touch the carts. But if they had a problem with this. Yelling at me was not the way to handle the situation.

Went to pay for my purchase and had exceed my daily limit. Asked cashier if they would mind holding the bag till I ran to the bank, as my daughter and I are getting into car the young man working the front door runs out with our bag, as he paid for our purchase. Just want to say thank you again and God bless, stay safe!

Bought the wrong batteries went back in and they wouldn't exchange them. Customer is always wrong.

Dollarama, I think was a great invention.
Products range from $1.00 to $4.25 it just depends what you are looking for.
I have found through these simple questions to the staff "I need help & where is this item". (I have seen & heard a customer say this) Not all those one liners will help you to resolve your shopping anxiety experience.
But over the years, I have decided that being kind to the staff at these stores does help my needs. So I have asked my questions this way.
'Hi! I hope that I am not disturbing you, but perhaps you could help me find what I am searching for in your store'. This kind of question always seems to be less hostile than the first two approaches for assistance.
It empowers the staff to 'want to help you'.
So I give Dollarama all 5 STARS! Thank you & happy shopping!

Not a huge fan of Dollarama. I understand this may make me sound cheap, but a lot of things in here aren't even a dollar. It should be called the $6-dollar Dollarstore. If you're looking for an actual dollar store, then go to Dollartree since everything in there is priced at $1.25 or less.

Dollarama is a Franchise you can find everywhere. Lots of Basic products for a quick purchase instead of going to the supermarket and spending more time.

Dollar store, can anyone say 10 year annaversery gift! Hell ya brownie point, I'm getting lucky that night!

Always able to find odds and ends for crafting here. Why spend 4x as much at other art stores. The kids don't mind and neither do I.

One of the better dollar stores in barrie but things are getting expensive not a dollar any more.

Great place to stop off to grab some cheap garbage bags and a phone charger cable but walk out with $60 worth of stuff that I probably didn't need. Seriously though, great staff, cheap stuff what more could you want.

I'm always surprised at how many new products there are considering how often I shop there. I have also noticed, since raising their prices, the quality of items has improved. I always wonder what we did before dollar stores? Lol

Love Dollarama. Always have. Only issue is trying to navigate around store with stroller as aisles usually jammed up with stock and sometimes that makes it hard to shop

Excellent Dollar Store - good assortments of items and speedy service. Not much different when compared to any of the other Dollarama outlets in town but it is a convenient and well put together location. Would recommend when you are in the area anyways for some other items.
