The food here is really good but for the past two Uber orders, they’ve forgotten to pack my rice with my food. Now I always have to put comments in my order reminding them not to forget to pack my rice. But overall, great food.
18 October 2023 12:45
Best kimchi fried rice in Ottawa. I am Toronto and there’s a lot to judge from. Best kimchi fried rice ever, also the garlic soy chicken is a must.
13 October 2023 23:22
Me and my friend went there today for her birthday and we were both disappointed. Nothing was spicy like it was supposed to be and everything just tasted off (overly sweet). Once we left we both felt sick but my friend was the one that threw up, pretty sure the chicken was undercooked, definitely wasn’t real Korean food. Total waste of $80! We got da boki (too sweet and too fishy fish cakes taste old) cheese balls over priced for 5 small balls and chicken was undercooked and not spicy. Kimchi was the only good thing. Customer service was terrible.
08 October 2023 14:32
Restaurant service changed now. Very minimal customer service. More of a self serve yourself tea so not worth eating there and food is priced high for minimum customers service. Used to eat here often before. First time having a takeout. Gamja Tang is good. Disappointed cause they barely had any meat in the bibimbap, just slivers with small portioned vegetables, so mainly composed of rice where you’re paying $13 for. And the side dishes are extremely small. Literally three slices of small kimchi slices. Not worth it. Delivery everything was good until I ate a big piece of plastic in the pork bulgogi!
04 October 2023 20:57
Dined in with one other person. Unfortunately, my companion’s rice bowl arrived 30 minutes before my chicken and our tempura shrimp, so they were finished by the time my food arrived.

They also messed up my order by giving me the wrong flavour, but made it up by giving me what i ordered on top of what i received.

Overall poor dine in experience, but the food was pretty good, only reason it’s not 1 star.
03 October 2023 13:57
I had a k-bowl, with chicken teriyaki. It was absolutely delicious. I will definitely be coming back for future lunches.
07 May 2023 3:51
Very good fried chicken and great food. They no longer serve the whole chicken anymore, only chicken leg and wing. However, there is a discount that comes with it.
05 May 2023 10:14
I love this place a lot. Killer Korean staples and friend chicken to die for. Highly recommend!
02 May 2023 12:43
The best fried chicken I've ever had.
The waitress was friendly, and the price was good.
23 April 2023 22:56
*** This our second time happening to us. Terrible food poisoning for a party of 8.
Makes me sad but we'll have to find a new place.

This place always satisfies our craving for Korean chicken! Thick, crispy batter and the sauces, wow! Our favourites were sweet & spicy and soya garlic. ️
23 April 2023 7:36
GOGIYA

I am a big fan of everything Korean Cuisine, I watched a special with David Chang on his ugly delicious when he explained his favorite thing is Korean fusion.so what better then Fried Chicken right?

Absolutely unreal, 30$ and we had 18 pieces, all mixed favors.crazy value and portion size, honestly probably the best fried chicken I have had.

I highly recommend the place, don't let the decor surprise you, it's a quick in and out spot but really really good!
15 April 2023 16:34
My first time at Gogiya Chicken! We got 2 lbs of chicken wings and Doldot Bibimbap! The side dishes weren’t fresh and I was disappointed.

We quickly got our order (not even 10 mins after ordering). The chicken wings were ok, I think the sauces were quite decent, however, half way through all you could taste is the oil that the chicken was cooked in.

The bibimbap was a disappointment. The rice is a bit soggy and wakame seaweed was added to the bibimbap, which is a surprise to me since I don’t see this often. We got beef as our protein of choice and the beef was dried, in a way that meat was left on the counter for a while, iykyk.

For $20-$30 per person I expect more from the food quality! The server was lovely though!
29 March 2023 0:48
Was ok, but not great. Ordered the Korean chicken and bibimbap. Bibimbap not in the ironcast dish, just rice on a plate. Was ok but not great. Paper cups, very basic place and a bit expensive for the kind of place it is.
03 January 2023 18:50
Food is excellent. Friendly service. Atmosphere miminal and non descript but clean. Highly recommend $$
02 January 2023 12:52
The spicy chicken and the gamja-tang are 5/5. The chicken was crispy outside and well seasoned. The gamja-tang was very tasty and the meat portion was generous. Unfortunately, the seafood pajeon was a disappointment. First, it wasn’t crispy, with only some squid slices, but mostly made of pollock crabs, and carrots. I have had way better pajeon. Also, they only give out 2 side dishes (kimchi and sweetened potatoes) Howey, price was reasonable. I think they can clean up the place and make it more appealing.
27 December 2022 2:03
We decided to try this place when the regular restaurant that we go to’s lineup was too big. Every time I walked past this place I was curious, and it always has people there. Always busy is a good sign! This time, we finally decided to check it out. Once we got inside, we were a bit confused as to where to sit, or if a hostess would be seating us. However, once we spoke to staff at the counter, they kindly gave us a table and we were taken care of from there. They had a few selections of import beers. They had a large menu with many Korean options. We decided to try a bunch of different things. Everything was extremely delicious, but the highlight here is really their crispy chicken, and the kimchi was delicious. Which I believe the chicken they’ve won prizes for. I’ve travelled to Korea, and I was a huge fan of the food. So this was an opportunity for me to really compare. We had the pleasure of meeting a Korean couple there who gave us a few food suggestions. The overall vibe of the restaurant is very casual, but it makes for a nice time on a casual date with a spouse or a friend. Server was excellent. Tips are shared across staff. The food was also excellent the next day as leftovers. I will definitely come back.
08 December 2022 6:57
치킨은 맛있었습니다. I ordered the sweet and Spicy fried chicken with the sauce on the side. It came really fast and the chicken was super crispy. It’s a lot more crispy than KFC. The Original Crispy had less flavours than the other flavours but it is great for people who don’t want too much salt and flavouring in their chicken. You can add the sauce on if you want more flavour. I also ordered the Pa-Jeon which was the best I had. They did not cut back on the squid so the pieces are very large. I loved that. The ones I had before always cut back on the squid for savings on cost but this one was very generous, l. Honestly I came for the fried chicken but I liked the Pa-Jeon way more. Both were really good but the Pa-Jeon puts them about other korean restaurants I tried. Definitely recommend the Pa-Jeon if you like the texture of Squid.
06 December 2022 20:18
Lovely food, generous amount, clean space, timely prepared & good customer service. What else do I need?
11 November 2022 23:57
Was waiting for good poke bowl in Kanata for years! They just opened, I got there to try salmon poke, it is excellent! All ingredients are tasty and fresh, will be coming back for more.
15 October 2022 10:09
The tteokbokki was cooked perfectly. The staff were really nice and attentive. It wasn't that busy when we got there but I saw a couple of ubereats orders. The food was also priced fairly.
15 October 2022 2:45
I ordered Uber eats from them. I think I’ve contracted e coli from their Kimchi. The food arrived cold and smelly. My stomach has been cramping for 2 days now since. Stay away from these guys. Not sure what they put in their food. You have been warned.
13 October 2022 11:43
Ordered Soy and Garlic Chicken on Uber Eats and not only is the chicken too salty, but one piece of chicken is clearly undercooked as there's blood coming out. This is a big food safety hazard! Won't be coming back.
06 October 2022 12:34
I must say the food so good. It’s surprising me even the place’s look really casual. I had sweet and spicy chicken; and rice cake.but h. LL yah, it was juicy and full flavour for my chicken, highly recommend
20 September 2022 19:25
We ordered from here on Uber eats and overall the food was really good.we will definitely try more stuff on the menu
16 September 2022 9:38
I think this is the best fried chicken in the city! Don't tell to too many people, I don't want my favorite chicken place to get crowded! Def try the "Gold" ans the "Soy and Garlic"
14 September 2022 18:03
Good fried chicken and good price. A bit tough at times (not super tender on every piece). Great takoyaki.
07 September 2022 5:38
Ordered Soy and Garlic Chicken on Uber Eats and not only is the chicken too salty, but one piece of chicken is clearly undercooked as there's blood coming out. This is a big food safety hazard! Won't be coming back.
30 June 2022 6:52
I love fried chicken, but I find that it often has two issues: it’s undercooked, and it retains an off-putting chicken smell.
This place has none of that. Their chicken is cooked perfectly so that it’s still juicy, but not at all slimy. It’s then tossed in a lip-smacking sauce (garlic soy, in our case) that makes you wanna go back bite after bite.
They got a mark docked because our take out order was ready quite a bit later than promised, and the vegetable gyozas were not good.
Other than that, I highly recommend this place.
28 June 2022 5:53
Very disappointing and lacking the flavor of love. I ordered the fried chicken and kimchi jigae for takeout and it was pretty bad. The fried chicken smelled (usually this occurs from improper storage or if it isn't drained of blood/washed correctly), was dry and poorly seasoned. The kimchi jigae was just sour from the ripe kimchi but had zero flavor to it. I don't know what's going on but they obviously don't care about the food since the quality of everything was just really poor. The "side" dishes were kind of funny, they put a single 2x3 inch piece of potato in a plastic container. Just a huge disregard to the environment and waste of plastic. Overall, I'd say this is pretty bad Korean food and wouldn't recommend it.
25 May 2022 14:13
Delicious fried chicken that travels well! We had their fried chicken at it was still crispy and delicious after traveling for 30 minutes. We will be back for more!
10 May 2022 13:13
Went there a few days ago with some friends for dinner. I ordered the teriyaki chicken k-bowl while my friends had the fried chicken. The portion of the k-bowl was very generous with lots and lots of meat and it was very delicious. My friend had me try one of his chicken pieces. It was not too greasy, the breading was very crispy and well seasoned and there was a lot of meat on that piece. It's very pricey but it's very good quality. It's fried chicken the way it should be made. The staff there was also very friendly and efficient. I will definitely be coming back.
08 May 2022 22:50
The BEST Bolgogi! I have been ordering from this restaurant pretty often and they never fail me with their dishes! Thank you very much for filling my request for additional potatoes and salad! I guess "pretty please" goes a long way! Lol
Thank you
03 May 2022 20:54
Got the sweet & spicy along with the original. Sweet and spicy were great, they had ton of taste, and were not that spicy at all. Was not a fan of the original. Some chicken pieces were extremely small with mostly bones, maybe my luck. Would eat here again.
27 April 2022 19:52
Gave this place two chances, thought first time the Korean fried chicken was so overfried and dry. Second time, same story.
25 April 2022 23:37
Very mediocre quality and very stingy with quantity. I got basically half a teaspoon of avocado (an extra) and a total of like 3 teaspoons of tuna overall (including extra portion). Meh.
05 April 2022 9:03
It's been a while since I ordered my favourite Korean fried chicken from here. It never failed to disappoint me in terms of taste and size of servings. Today, however is a different story. Not only were the chicken, smaller pieces but over fried to almost burnt. It no longer taste the original fried chicken and too salty as well. Either it's a new owner or cook or both. 2 thumbs down for me this time. I don't think I will go back.
01 April 2022 18:10
Came for lunch with a group of 4 and we opted for dine-in. All of the meals and side dishes were still served in takeout containers for some reason. I ordered the K-bowl and it was good but will try something new on my next visit.
02 March 2022 19:47
Used to be amazing and was our go-to spot for Korean fried chicken. But the flavor is way off and too salty now. The crunch isn't there either anymore. To make matters worse, they increased the price nearly 25%. Will be looking elsewhere going forward.
01 February 2022 4:34
The chicken is over brined or something. Super salty and rubbery. I would not arder from here again
10 January 2022 1:41
Ordered garlic soy fried chicken (literally no flavor lol) and raw honey and garlic chicken. The portion sizes were so small. I get that its pandemic and owners are trying to cut back costs but they literally took a regular piece chicken (wing/drum stick, breast, etc) and carved it just to increase portion sizing. Not only that, there was a lot more breading to meat ratio, actually barely any meat. Was just breading and the carved bones. Don't order fried chicken from here they used to be pretty damn good but now skimping out on quality. $61 btw. This place has gone down hill. Down bad, hard pass.
20 December 2021 12:36
Ordered 2 servings of Dduk Bok Ki through Uber.

First one was very good, as expected.
Second serving had grainy, stale sauce. The rice cake was hard, stale and tasteless, and the fishcake was extremely old, very fishy, and hard.

We called the restaurant and after a cut off phone call and many dials later they finally were able to answer and tell us that they could not do anything about it since we ordered through Uber, were not apologetic at all (told us that it's a fresh batch even though the difference in quality was clear enough).

Uber will be refunding us, but the service from the restaurant was disappointing.
01 December 2021 6:21
Update: since they moved north up Bank Street I am less impressed. Ordered my usual Dolsot stonebowl Bibimbap with beef. The food is being served in takeout containers. No real plates or cutlery. Due to covid they said? Despite ordering saucy chicken wings we were not given any napkins. Just a small wet nap each. My husband's food was served to him 5-10 minutes before mine came out. Food was great as usual. But I think I'll only do takeout from them now rather than dining in. That seems to be what their focus is now.
Love our food here every time. My go to is the Dolsot stonebowl Bibimbap.
27 September 2021 1:38
I tried the fried chicken and the chicken bulgogi. The food tasted fresh and it was quite aromatic. The restaurant is small in size and with Covid restrictions can barely fit 10 people inside. The service was a bit slow but that’s understandable cause they had a huge number of orders for take out. Which makes sense cause the food is worth it. I would 100% be going back there whenever I crave some Korean food!
02 September 2021 23:09
Very slow service. We went in and sat down. We were asked to pay first. It’s awful for dine-in option. We paid 15% tip on the total, but the service later we received made me really regret it.
We had to go to the counter to pay before the food is prepared. Then we waited waited and waited. No one would give us a glass of water or tea like any other Korean restaurants do. We had to go to the counter to ask for water.
After a long wait, the food was served in two cheap plastic plates. We ordered only two dishes which cost more than $50: a soup and beef ribs. The soup was just some kimchi, toufu and a few pieces of pork; the beef ribs were just a few pieces on the top of the grilled shredded onions. I understand due to Covid the price has gone up, but I tried other the restaurants although the price went up but the quality and the portion went up a little bit as well, but this specific Gogiya restaurant’s price went up so much yet the portion shrank ridiculously. And the quantity is just so so compared to other Korean restaurants. I rarely give reviews, but I’m taking time to warm others not to go to this restaurant because you will be so disappointed.
25 July 2021 10:25
Service has gone completely downhill since they moved beside sansotei on bank street. We're long time supporters since their dolsot cafe location beside their Korean supermarket, often having it at least once a week.

Since they've moved, we decided to support them by calling to order pick up from them directly instead of ordering via Uber. However it seems like they kept bumping our order. At first we were told 1 hour wait. So just in case we called to ask if it was ready before we went to pick it up. They said another 30 minutes wait with no apologies and the manager was also being rude about it. We won't be coming back
30 June 2021 12:25
2021: Used to be consistently great food, but my most recent order was painfully disappointing. Meat that was once saucy, sweet, spicy, and savoury is now dry and flavorless. The sides were still good and the meal came relatively fast but I don't see myself going back if the meat is no good anymore.

2016: I go here all the time for the lunch special. Always great hot food whether you're eating there or taking it to go. Pork bulgogi is spicy but sweet and goes great with the sides they serve (rice, kimchi, pickled lo bok are always there, and they have an extra side that they change up all the time).

My favorite place for Korean food.
05 June 2021 16:23
We’ve been long time supporters for years since they were Dolsot at Bank and Catherine. Now unfortunately it looks like their customer service is going down since moving. Called in and ordered for pickup to try to give them support without them having to pay Uber, was told it would be 50 minutes and then the person on the phone said it was actually going to take an hour. One hour passes by and just to be safe we decided to call to make sure the food would be ready before going, they now tell us it’s going to be another 30 minutes. 1.5 hours is a ridiculous wait time and they never called us to update us so if we didn’t call to make sure we would’ve driven there and waited another 30 minutes. Unfortunately won’t be returning here
28 April 2021 9:03
Best tasting Korean food in Ottawa! Coming from Toronto and discovering that there was a lack of Korean restaurants in general, I was relieved to find Dolsot. Food is authentic, always fresh and flavourful! You won't be disappointed!
25 February 2021 18:31
This was first time getting Dolsot cafe takeout. The food was delicious, kept its flavour and temperature on the drive home. My favourite was the seafood pancake and bibimbap. Super easy contactless pickup at the front of the restaurant. Yum!
01 January 2021 13:20
Was in the mood for fried chicken, I looked up fried chicken in ottawa and GoGiYa came up. I waited till 11 o'clock and ordered the original fried chicken. Took it back to my car and had lunch. I must say it was fantastic. Juicy and crunchy. Next time I will get the sweet and spicy. All the food on the menu looks great. The fried chicken is definitely the best I have had in ottawa. I will be back. Between slater and Laurier on bank st. Go try it.
12 May 2020 15:19
Was expecting same quality of food from old location when it was beside the grocery store. Poor service.
07 May 2020 10:32
SO overpriced. They've jacked up prices by pretty much 40% since they were at the other location. Really hope the owners reconsider their strategy because while the food is good, I'd never return with those ridiculous prices.
02 May 2020 13:37
One of my favorite Korean restaurants in Ottawa. Highly recommend the pork bone soup, if you are a large group get the pork bone hot pot.
23 April 2020 12:03
Dolsot Cafe has very good Korean food. No complaints. I believe the same family owns the small Korean store attached to it. I love to buy Banchan from there. I recommend checking both the restuarant and the store out.
20 April 2020 6:44
Piping hot chicken and great flavors to choose from. They even give you a glove to eat it with so you don't get greasy hands. Ralph was skeptical of this restaurant because of his past poor decision of going to popeyes for fried chicken, but after the first bite he was hooked and said that it was worthy. The place didn't have a lineup outside unlike sansotei next door so that was a plus. Place was cozy, I found that the tables for four were a bit tiny, our table quickly filled up with food and appetizers when they arrived. Servers don't really check up on you. We had to get their attention while they are on their way delivering food to other tables. We wanted to get a refill on water but Ralph had to try several times getting their attention. On the plus side they gave us some free snacks while we waited for our chicken.
10 April 2020 11:57
Great place to have a quick meal.very reasonable prices and there is a Korean market right next to it where you can pick up handy stuff and nice Korean groceries. Kimbap and ddeokbeokki is amazing
02 April 2020 13:28
The best Korean fried chicken I've had back in Canada! Reminds me of the ones I had when I lived in Korea
28 March 2020 8:01
If I could give this restaurant more stars i would. I ordered a seafood dish here without confirming if it had chicken and it did. I don’t eat chicken. So, they apologized (even though its not their fault), made another dish from scratch, and it was free. They made it from scratch because there is chicken stocking in their regular dish. Most places would say “sorry this dish contains chicken stocking choose something else”, but not these guys!
25 March 2020 10:54
Had the basic combo plate it was ok. Don't eat a lot of Korean food so I dont have much to compare it to.
25 March 2020 9:31
Friendly staff that has started to recognize some of our party for visiting even just occasionally. The portions are very nice. They give the table some snacks to accompany the meal too which is nice
25 March 2020 8:37
Seems like they have stepped up their game! Gave free pancake with hot pot items, better side dishes! Just all around better experience to be honest
19 March 2020 15:41
Their food is super delicious. They changed how some things work and have increased the price a bit but the service and the food remains good. Its self serve and you pay first and the food comes fast. You get unlimited side dishes too.
05 March 2020 4:43
Changed ownerships a few times. Now it's a straightforward, smaller menu. Order instructions: pick what you want from the photos and order directly at the cash. Pay first and then the food will arrive at your seat. You'll have to grab your own drinks and utensils, like a cafeteria. Unlimited refills on side dishes. Overall, the food is great. The only downside is the wait, especially if there are a lot of people ahead of you.
04 March 2020 17:01
We ordered the boo-dae chi-gae, aka, army stew and beef bul-go-gi. It came with four bowls of healthy rice and Korean pancake as well as sides and tea.
29 February 2020 20:45
3.5 / 5. For approx $9 for a “k-bowl” it’s not bad for a light lunch, comprised of a meat (went with spicy pork) japchae noodles and rice. Environment: not quite there. Service: good. They only have disposable cutlery (plastic forks/knives) and inferior wooden chopsticks, which didn’t split properly and with my luck, wound up with a splinter.
25 February 2020 9:17
This place changed owners or chef and it was a great experience. It was different to go up and order at the cash and pay before our meals, but the dining experience was worth it. I got the hot pot set with the spicy chicken, rice cakes and glass noodles. It came with a vegetation pancake and also order a side of kimbap. It came all at once though, was expecting the kimbap first. Self serve tea, water and utensils and napkins. The food was definitely worth the visit. Service was lacking but I’ll definitely go again.
16 February 2020 9:33
I went in to try their deep fried chicken and it did not disappoint! It was very delicious. I will definitely go back again.
12 February 2020 18:22
Great place to grab lunch. The service is quick and the food is very good for the price point. It's central location also fits very well for any public servant looking for somewhere close to work to grab some food.
31 January 2020 2:38
Really good portions of great food for such low prices.one of my go to spots since coming to ottawa
19 January 2020 23:17
Don't wait in line for Sensotei - the food at GoGiYa is flavourful, plentiful, and well-priced. I went the first time to avoid waiting in line for ramen, and I've been going back ever since.
Tips: since the portions are very large, get a few dishes to share between friends. A warning that the full portion of chicken is a whole mountain of fried goodness. The half portion is more than enough for 2-3 people
18 January 2020 18:13
I tried the hot and spicy fried chicken last night. It was amazing. The chicken was perfection. The cashier that served me was wonseful.
08 January 2020 8:19
GoGiYa somehow entirely missed my lunch order and didn't start preparing it until I arrived at the restaurant. What I got at the end was a tiny portion of sickly sweet chicken with little other flavour. You'd likely be happier walking over to shoppers and picking up some microwavable chicken strips and loading those with honey packets than go back to gogiya
06 January 2020 9:04
This was a stop on my search for the best KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) in town. Pricing is good and portions are extremely generous (the half portions will easily feed 2). Two of us ordered the ChiMac combo and I went home with leftovers for another 3 meals!

All the places I've tried in town really drown the chicken in too much sauce, which is disappointing. One way to get around this is to order original crispy along with a flavoured option if you have enough people. My search for the best chicken joint in town continues.
31 December 2019 22:03
Best place for lunch takeout. Always take out their k-bowl everytime I goto Ottawa. Love their k-bowl, and it's about $9+tax for lunch, $13 for dinner. You can pick and choose toppings and sauces on top of rice, japchae and bed of lettuce. I love their pepper paste sauce. It's like sweet watered down gochujang which is perfect to mix. If you cant take spicy, they also have sriracha mayo or teriyaki sauce.
12 December 2019 19:05
We came for dinner in a cold autumn night, and the place wasn't busy. We were pretty satisfied with the quality of the food and the size of the portions. We order some bowls and sone chicken wings to share and everything was good. Service is also helpful.
01 December 2019 13:30
Dukbokki and side dishes were great! Nice and spicy! Service was quick and complimentary tea was a nice touch.
21 November 2019 15:59
Great bibinbap and pa jeon. Will try the gam ja tang next time

Update:
they changed things around and now you pay at the counter. Which is fine.

The food has gone a bit down hill in the last few months. Went there a few times and was disappointed. Will try again in a few weeks to see if it was just a one off.
20 November 2019 10:52
Had a pretty average experience at Dolsot Cafe this weekend. Me and my dining companion were curious to try out the restaurant, and I was surprised that I hadn't noticed it before, especially since part of the space is a Korean grocery store.

As it was a rainy day we got two soups, the gamjatang and the potato dumpling soup. The food arrived relatively quickly and we started with the banchan. The kimchi was good, but all of the pieces were cut very large. This was true for the rest of the sides. The gamjatang was comforting, spicy enough and with lots of pork bones, but the meat wasn't as tender as I'd like. We were less pleased with the potato dumpling soup, which felt greasy and too slimy. The dumplings were well made, and paired well with the kimchi but our overwhelming impression of the soup wasn't too favorable.

The pricing is fair at $30 for both soups, but I wouldn't go out of my way to come to Dolsot Cafe, especially given the surprising number of Korean restaurants in Ottawa.
18 November 2019 18:21
The place is simply amazing. I love it! The hot and spicy is a delicious spicy torture. Go ahead if you really like spicy food, otherwise try the sweet and spicy. Do yourself a favor and eat it drinking beer. I haven't tried anything aside from the fried chicken, but would I. I mean the point is eating fried chicken.
15 November 2019 14:52
This is probably my favorite Korean restaurant on Bank St! You order at the front and pay for your food before finding a table. The water and tea is also self-service, as are the side dishes of sweet potato, kimchi and bean sprouts (just bring the empty plate to the front counter). Had the spicy pork bone stew (which had dumplings, noodles, cabbage and tofu inside as well) that was meant to be shared between 2-3 and couldn’t even finish it all! A perfect meal for a cold Ottawa evening.
30 October 2019 1:46
My favourite place in Ottawa with great food and its own little store on the side that has frozen food to go.
16 September 2019 11:43
Paid about $8 for Kimbap which didn’t have a meat (ham is included in most kimbaps) and the rice was too sour. Won’t go back.

Nice Korean restaurant with a few sides of you dine in. I usually order the bim bim bop and kalbi, which are very good. Ordering it for delivery is terrible though - I always receive the wrong order (probably the third-party delivery's fault) and it is a smaller portion that is less tasty.

This is a lovely informal eating place. You order and pay for food at the counter and help yourself to water and/or barley tea. The food is authentic - I've lived in Korea - and delicious. Serving staff are super cheerful and helpful.

Used to eat here often before. First time having a takeout. Gam Ja Tang is good. Disappointed cause they barely added any meat in the bibimbap, just slivers with small portioned vegetables, so mainly composed to rice where you’re paying $13 for. And the side dishes are extremely small. Literally three slices of small kimchi slices. Not worth it

Better than the Fry in my opinion. Prices are better for the same portion but I prefer the flavours better.
Their other food selection from fried chicken is okay (I tried the shrimp tempura and takoyaki) but the cheese fried chicken is my absolute favourite. Plus they have the super spicy fried chicken which I'll eventually try.

Place is small but not too busy on a weeknight and great friendly staff.

The food was okay but the customer service was terrible. We went to the restaurant on Wednesday and the guy who told us his name is Ryan was very rude and completely ignored us when we asked him for tea and then napkins eventhough the restaurant wasn’t busy and when we said we weren’t happy with the way he treated customers, he refused it was his fault and blaming us for not asking him again which is ridiculous.

I rated One Star for the food. The service, on the other hand, is horrible. The waiter, Ryan, is so rude with no serving skills. He needs to learn how to say please and thank you to customers. He’d rather clean up the tables than bring us our side orders and later told us that he forgot (no apologies whatsoever) with lame excuses. I would never come back to this restaurant unless the owner does something about Ryan.

Super delicious korean food with generous size portions. Very authentic korean cuisine and we cleaned all of our plates! Cant wait to go back to try other dishes. Street Parking was easy on weekends which was free!

This is a Korean Restaurant, they serve some popular dishes of Korean such as Bibimbap, Bulgogi, Ddukbokki, and Samgyeopsal. You can also eat some hot pots of Korean style at this restaurant.

Have to wait for a while to get the food. They should probably hire more people. Other than that food was good. Khimchi fired rice with chicken was tasty!

Dolsot cafe is a nice little korean restaurant with a decent selection of korean dishes. The bulgogi and soon tofu soups are both very delicious although could use a little bit more depth to flavour other than salty and spicy. The only major con about this restaurant is its location without any dedicated parking lot it does take time to search for a place so please make time to loop around the neighbouring streets.
