Don Gamble Centre and Saint Laurent Park

Decent complex with library, pool, and ample seating areas. It would be 5 stars if it had a hot tub, or a sauna that actually felt somewhat hotter than the breath of something dying.

C'est un endroit calme et intéressant pour faire divers activités.
On peut nager, faire des exercices, étudier, lire, jouer du basketball, faire de la danse etc.

20220831: Wish the kids pool is open (closed due to lack of life guards in Ottawa). Other than that, it's a lovely playground with many structures, benches and shady trees.

Loved the indoor pool. Outdoor swimming activities were already closed for the season when we visited. Large parking areas for pick up and drop off. Amazing facilities. One of the most comprehensive community center buildings I've ever visited!

Very well managed by The City of Ottawa. Always friendly staff who go that extra mile to serve you. Beautiful wading pool at the back for younger children and families to enjoy. The St Laurent Public Library is attached to the Recreation Center should you chose to have some quiet time reading. Plenty of computers available at the Library. Several quiet rooms available to reserve for interviews or private meetings. The Don Gamble Centre also offers excellent ice skating at their rink in the Fall and Winter. Stop by and see for yourself. This Center has something for everyone in your family. It's a nice family place for sports, swimming, skating, aerobics classes, weight room, cardio equipment, spinning classes, large meeting rooms available to rent and a beautiful Library attached. You will not be disappointed and you will want to stay for a visit. I Did!
