This salon is honestly one of the best salons in sauga, they’re extremely professional and know exactly how to make their customers happy. Vy helped me reach the hair colour that I wanted which was extremely hard because my hair had a lot of damage but she was a miracle worker! Definitely recommend going there!

I was going to Donato Square One for several years for hair cuts and was generally satisfied. However, this past year I went for a blonde balayage (I have light brown hair) and they barely changed the colour of my hair at all - there was barely honey coloured highlights. I complained and they said to come in for toner, which didn't lighten the colour. Then finally I came in for another balayage session where they actually got it blonde the way I wanted it. However, in December I went to touch up the balayage, showed her the photo from when I first got it done and also asked to build even more lighter blonde this time. Once again, they messed it up. It was almost back to my natural colour and not blonde at all. I complained and showed them the photo again as reference, she took my information so the manager could call me back, but they never did. On top of that, I realized they also charged me more than what was quoted online for the level of stylist I got. I won't be going back to them for coloring again, they've only gotten it right 1/3 times.

I had my hair cut today by Lizette and I have to say it was one of the best cuts I've ever had. I've had my hair cut here tons of times, but this is the first time I've had the cut I've always wanted. I have curlier hair and was always told I couldn't have many shorter layers. Lizette gave me a fantastic cut and did something amazing with the layers that created tons of volume and movement which I absolutely love. She also really properly listened to me and gave me a cut that fit my lifestyle and how I style my hair, which is literally braid it wet and pull the braid out when it's dry so it styles itself. I never want a blow dry when I get a haircut and most stylists don't love this or even insist on it to finish their cut, but Lizette didn't force it and let me walk out with wet hair and let it air dry the way I wanted. When air dried naturally curly, the cut was amazing! Meaning I can have the same hair again once I wash it myself.

After reading reviews about Hayder, I can now vouge for them and say how truly happy and glad that I gave him a chance! I'm a very picky person in general, but particularly about my hair. I hadn't cut it in over a year. I gave Hayder the liberty of doing what he thought was best. I put my trust in him. I can happily say I love the cut. He gave a great head wash and took his time with the cut. He blow-dried my hair and then finished the cut with a flat iron. He is meticulous and will hear you out, while also providing his suggestions (if you wish). Thank you very much Hayder! I'll definitely be booking my next appointment with him!

I had haircut and style with stylist1, and she messed up my hair cut specially front looked chunky and ugly. I was so upset, but management addressed concerns.
I was pleased that they felt my pain and understood the concerns. Also offered me complimentary service right away with a higher level stylist to fix my hair with genuine concern.
They took care to minimize the damage and train me to manage the look temporarily and offered me service to fix my look once my hair grows a little longer.
I was impressed with humble, polite, and compassionate client services. No one is perfect.
They may seem pricey, but you are not paying for just hairstyle. You are paying for the service and their passion to give you the best experience and look.

I had a wonderful experience with Kai who absolutely transformed my hair! I came in with really brassy streaks in my hair and Kai gave me beautiful warm tones that also lightened and framed my face. Thank you so much for giving that perfect summer refresh:)

I just wanna start off by saying I have never written a review before but I had to for my service yesterday at this salon! Allandre absolutely killed my hair! The service, the environment, everyone was amazing! I would absolutely recommend coming here!

I’ve been coming to get my hair done at Donato’s for quite some time and I never leave disappointed! I have been getting my colour done by Rozina and she always does an excellent job. For haircuts I’ve always seen Helen and she knows exactly what she’s doing, I have curly hair and she helped revive them after years of ‘straight cuts’. I’ve just recently gotten a blowout done by Hasena and it was phenomenal, the volume was perfect and it lasted me days! The vibe in the salon has always been welcoming and I highly recommend coming here!

I had a wonderful experience at Donatos Square One. I walked by and I saw a client paying for their haircut style and I stopped them to ask who was their stylist was. She mentioned Hayder. I immediately booked my cut for the following day. I was so happy with my haircut, after trying out so many salons and super expensive bougie downtown salons I loved my haircut by Hayder. I have recommended all my friends and family to go to donato for his services. Thank you once again Hayder for giving me hair life again.

Unprofessional.stylist is an amateur. Cant speak for other stylists but Leo was the worst. Didnt even listen to what I wanted, he really just did what he felt like with my hair i dont recommend this place and whats worse is that its overpriced. If youre adamant on going here I suggest you avoid Leo (the one with tattoos on his arms)

I started getting my haircuts done from Helen at Donato and I am always very happy with my haircut I can’t thank her enough. She has done an amazing job and I always feel so good and refreshing after the hair cut. She is friendly, professional, and has great attention to detail I highly recommend Helen. With Helen you can feel confident that your hair will be amazing!

I had a great experience with one of Senior Stylist Leo Last Saturday. He asked me for my preference and made good suggestions that I would never think suits me. He was very caring and friendly. He cut my hair perfectly and blow dried it very nice.

This place is the worst. They screwed up my hair colour twice - tried to fix it and i still walked out with a different colour on my roots then on the rest of my hair. Diana is apparently a senior colourist but she does not know how to do red hair at all. They had to call in 3 other colourists for advice on how to fix my hair. I will never go back to This place.

I had a perming of my daughter with Leo but I don’t know which chemicals he had used that she got very thin hair. She’s 16 years old and Leo even didn’t bother to give me any suggestions. I am really disappointed.

Excellent service by Telaiya! She paid personal attention to all the details and made sure I get the look I intended to. Gonna keep visiting her often.

Love my hair cut by Hasena. She took her time to explain to me what she was doing, and offered advice about what would suit the hairstyle more. Very good experience!

I had a great experience with Yauling. She did a fantastic job with my balayage. It was definitely the look I was going for and I walked out feeling like a new person!

The receptionist who answered my call (Aug 3rd, around 4: 15pm) was rude and sounded bothered that I called. Sorry I won’t be going to a place with such negative vibes.

Extremely inconsiderate staff. When u call them to inform u will be late by just 10mins they humiliate customers

Way too overpriced for basic haircuts. Quality is same as cheaper salons so what is the point for paying a lot for same results. Layers looked good in the salon because they style it after 2-3 days they doesn’t look good.

The result was great. I have curl hair and my hair is difficult to cut.
But she takes her time to do the Best! And it was great.

So ask Hafsah Rafique if you want a great cut with a great girl!

My husband literally just left the salon with the WORST hair cut ever. He’s had bad ones but never like this. I gifted him a gift card from there for Father’s Day. I wish I hadnt. The haircut was absolutely awful. My husband has naturally beautiful hair and has been growing it for a special occasion. He went in for a trim and I SWEAR he came out almost bald. Just barely any hair on the top. The stylist had my husbands chair turned away from the mirror so he had no idea his hair was being shaved off! Service wasn’t very pleasant and the stylist seemed like an absolute beginner.

So saddened that I have received my first worst updo at Donato's. Why hire someone when they don't know how to do updo's? ! I won't name her, but I am shocked that Donato's standards have fallen so low! Never coming back.

I was at the Don Mills location today for hair colour root touch up. After the service was completed they handed me a used hair brush filled with hair and a hair dryer. In what world does a salon not dry your hair? When I made a comment when leaving the Manager said I needed to book the blow dry separately. I said I have never had to do that anywhere else and as a result I am not going back. There are lots of other salons out there.

Horrible Experience. I got my hair done from hair specialist i won’t tell his name but I have received my first worst highlights at Donato's. Why they hire someone when they don't know how to do their job? I am shocked that to see the Donato's standards. I have heard so many good things about donato ‘s but everything is fake. They are cheating people. I never seen this type management before. Unprofessionals staff and the management too. They don’t care about their customers. Never coming back

Great experience. Went to the salon at Square One out in the mall not at Holt Renfrew. Haydar washed and massaged my head. Never had someone spend that amount of time with the washing. Usman cut my hair. He listens to what you want and follows through with it. It was pretty long.down to my hips. Asked him to cut just below the shoulders and he did exactly that with beautiful layers. He did a fantastic job not only with the cut but with the blow dry. Did some shopping afterwards and couldn't believe all the compliments from total strangers.

Leo was absolutely great. Jennifer too. Leo cut my hair to be a pixie cut from my long hair. Turned out wonderful and I really love the look. Super professional and also very friendly! The best combo for a business. Also the haircut was pretty fast, not rushed, but didn’t take up the entire day, he worked efficiently and was very nice. Thanks!

If you know what’s good, book Haydar at Donatos for a cut that will be precise, voluminous and leave you feeling beautiful. Plus his head massage during the wash is next level - highly recommend if you’re looking exceptional service.

Excellent customer service and reasonable prices. Got my eyebrows waxed here and the aesthetician did a wonderful job. Front desk staff are very friendly and helpful.

Ive been coming to donato salon for about 5 years, the stylists and staff are amazing. Great customer service experience, Veronica at the front desk is a sweetheart. Ive had my hair done with different stylists over the years and every one of them were very friendly and an expert at their craft, i always left with a smile on my face. I went to the new location last week and it was beautiful, keep up the good work

My hair were damaged from a prior over processed colour job. They needed a refreshing hair cut. Usman gave me the exact cut i needed to revive my hair. The cut is very stylish too. I go here because the service I get from Helen for cuts and Lynn for colour is amazing. We have become friends. However, the costs set by the salon are becoming an issue. I may have to go elsewhere soon. Only reason why I stay is for them.

I was here for my haircut once I got Andrew and he did and absolutely wonderful job and recently I moved to kitchener, and came from kitchener to square one just to have this wonderful service from Andrew again. He makes my hair looks Stunning Thank you Andrew.

Recently I had the chance to do my hair done at Donato salon at Square-One, Mississauga location. I was very impressed and delighted with the exemplary treatment I received during my visit. Donato salon overall cleanness, protocols, setup, and exceptional services provided by the staff, greatly exceeded my expectations.

My hairstylist was Shashi Lokugamage, who exhibited highly professional behavior. I was extremely impressed with her performances. Shashi was very kind, gentle, friendly, and respectful. She went to great lengths to ensure that I had the best possible experience at the salon. It was obvious that Shashi always does her best to meet the needs and expectations of her clients. Her work, talent, respect, and client relationships are above and beyond. That was the best salon experience and treatment I ever had. I've been going to Donato's exclusively for at least 20 years. I love the haircuts and have never been disappointed.

Colour is a whole other story. I had virgin dark brown hair and wanted balayage to a medium brown. I brought in a picture. I came out shockingly blonde - nothing like the picture. It was corrected with toner but that washed out within a couple of weeks.

Covid hit and I stayed away from the salon. I kept the blonde but wore my hair up alot. I finally got so fed up that I went back to try to get medium brown. I had a different stylist this time but came out with almost the exact same shade of dark brown I was born with.

Almost $500 later, I look the exact same!

That's messed up.

I would have given 5 stars if I never had colour done there.

The checkout staff, however, was doing NOTHING to ensure safe social distancing throughout the checkout process. Even after I quite loudly stated that I was simply trying to be safe, there was no response from the staff whatsoever.

I wish i could give you 0 star. My boyfriend went there getting me a Christmas present today. I asked for a hair product that is 100ml, the staff said they only come in 50ml size. Yet they charged my boyfriend the price of 100ml one. THAT IS TOTALLY A SCAM! I don't think you accidentally charged 50ml product for a different price, as the receipt shows it is the price for a 100ml one. And also I bought the exact same one from this very same store 2 months ago and i know they come in in 100ml size. So whoever served my bf, shame on you for trying to scam a guy who doesn't know anything about make up!

Lucas is really talented hairstylist and very pleasant person to get hairdone. You can get an honest advice from him regarding hair and hairproducts. Love going back everytime to the salon. I love to always recommend this Salon to friends and family. Their spa services are also very good.

I will never recommend this place to anyone. Staff was not very friendly. I waited for 30 minutes and after that hair stylest told me they can’t color my hair or straighten my fringes as i didn’t book a prior appointment. No body told me about that at the reception. Waste of time.

The manager at this location, I forget her name short hair, European lady. She is completely rude and dismissive and will not care if you are dissatisfied. Customer service is terrible. Almos feels like the stylists are renting out the chairs no real level or accountability,

I spoke with a colourist named Ali, and he had promised me to fix my patchy long hair and make it look gorgeous for a for low price. And when I arrived for my appointment the receptionist had told me he was sick and said someone else would assist me for the same price. Once I was seated the girl had told me due to the length of my hair it would cost a lot more and then told me even if she did colour my hair it would still remain patchy, and did not colour or fix my hair at all.

I've been going to Donato for years. I am so disappointed with my last hair cut. I had to miss my regular appointment due to illness and rescheduled with another Senior Stylist. I told her I wanted to a bob which was longer in the front and tapered in the back. I thought she understood and could do it. When you leave the salon it looks great because they style away the flaws. I have to find someone to fix the back of my head.it is a big mess. BEWARE - Senior does not mean they know what they are doing.

Been there several times for services and have always had a good experience. Even have friends who are customers and have referred others there. Went there today with my sister and noticed the price list for men's haircuts is listed on the poster. Girl at counter told me that she booked me for a haircut in 30 minutes. Get a call ten minutes later and girl tells me that there is an error and that they can't see me for two MORE hours, I say no problem. Girl then tells me that the haircut is not the price on the poster in front of the salon and that it is 25% more than the poster indicates and that the price is only for women's haircuts? I inform her that we both read the poster and that it clearly has two price lists, one for women and one for men? I ask her if they will honor the price posted on the poster in front of the salon and she tells me she will call me back. Two hours later I arrive for my appointment and ask the girl at the counter to look at the poster in front of the salon and she confirms with me that the poster does in fact list the price for a men's haircut at the lesser price. When I ask her again if they will honor the price listed ON THE POSTER IN FRONT OF THE SALON she tells me she has to ask the manager (Guess she forgot to do that and call me back). So after waiting two hours for a haircut I get told that THE MANAGER WILL NOT HONOR THE PRICE LISTED ON THE POSTER IN FRONT OF THE SALON? I WASTE TWO HOURS OF MY TIME AFTER I AM TOLD 30 MINUTES FOR A HAIRCUT AND THEN GET TOLD THE PRICE LISTED IN FRONT OF THE SALON WON'T BE HONORED? ! WHAT KIND OF CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THIS AND WHY WOULD I EVER GO BACK THERE? !

I went to Donato today for a Wash+Blowdry & it was hands down the worst blow dry I've had. My appointment was at the end of the night & I reached there 3 mins before my appointment after checking in I asked if I could use the washroom, I was then told only if I can be done in 3 mins because I'm close to my appointment time. I let that slide. I was done right on time but then to sit on the couch & wait for 7 mins for my stylist. This was super upsetting because they made it seem like I was running late when the stylist ended up running late. I was hoping of this whole timing situation and how front desk was that my blow dry would at least make up for everything.

I've had a stylist before that was AMAZING & I would give her a 5 star for her service start to finish. But that was far from the case this time around. The end result of something as simple as a blow dry was awful. I had knots all at the root of my hair & the ends of my hair are damaged and burnt, it was frizzy and far from smooth. I don't know how you could let a client leave when they don't seem happy. I honestly am beyond upset because now my hair is damaged and I'm definitely going to need to trim the ends.

At the end of my service I let the front desk know how I felt. She let her manager know whom I shortly got to speak to. It was very unproffesional because two other girls were standing there listening to our conversation. To top it off I was asked to pay for the service.in return I'd get a free service on my next appointment Mon-Thurs. I ended up paying for it because I didn't want to cause a scene & I thought it was fair at the time being. I think that is certainly an unfair option, to a have dissatisfied customer pay FULL price for a service that they are clearly not happy with. I am in disbelief with how unprofessional everything was & how customer/client service is presented. Super disappointing.

I must say the best facial I’ve gotten was at Donato. I’ve had facials all over mississauga, I’ve tried all the places, tried different people. No one has beaten Doanne to be precise. She’s very talented. Has got great skills and they have really good equipment and products. I’m quite satisfied with every dime that goes towards the service. No penny goes to waste.definetly a great investment. Doanne has inspired me to pursue related studies. She’s great and sincere with her work. I hope to learn from her and to help other women build their confidence by overcoming any troubling skin and any other insecurities. The staff at the front desk are also patient and kind. It helps to come back again:)

I have been a client of Donato Salon at Square One for over a decade, I found an unbelievable esthetician, Danuta Petrusevski. Not only has Danuta given me the best facials of my life but any service she provides is a 10+, her bedside manner is unmatched and I look forward to our time together as she gives great advise on maintaining my challenging skin as I age but also an ear as a friend over these years. This note is long over due, please note the entire staff understand good customer service and you definitely come first at Donato Salon.

It was my very first time going to this salon, the place is really huge and really nice, my appointment was at 5 and i got the service right on time, but before I was sat down to a station, I got asked to wear a smock, but i was waiting for them to put the capes on as well, but it was never put on. And before I got my hair colour, she put an oil around my hairline so my skin wont stain with colour, but she just let it drip all over my face, and i didn’t see this until i put on my glasses and had to ask someone else for a towel.
The washing part was good, the products they use smells really nice. And when I was getting my blowdry, the person who was doing it was super friendly, and was talking to me the whole time and made me feel welcomed.
Overall, the service was good, I left the salon earlier than time estimated.

I have been dealing with Leo at Donato square one for the past 5 years after struggling to find a good hairstylist. My whole family has been getting haircut from him. He is truly an artist. Highly recommended

Leo has been my stylist for many years and for good reason; he is the best! He is super talented and gives me styles that make me look amazing and feel confident. I recommend him very highly.

Diane, is by the best colourist I've ever had.she has been doing my hair for years. She knows exactly what how to make the colour blend perfectly each and every time.she is so sweet and honest, and just puts you at ease.it feels like seeing a friend every time I go in.i would recommend her to anyone looking to have their hair coloured.thank you Diane.ves:)

I have never posted a review online before, but felt this one was needed.
I am extremely dissatisfied with the service and lack of professionalism I received last week at Donato Salon.
My service was booked incorrectly by staff at the front desk and upon arrival was told by my assigned stylist that she didn’t have the time for my request. I was completely inconvenienced by having to drive 20 min each way and having to adjust my work schedule to accommodate this appointment.
Management didn’t seem to be empowered to make decisions to keep clients happy and I was told the earliest they could fit me back into the schedule was in a week’s time. I was only offered a small discount for the mistake they made!
Not only that, I was quoted a price on the phone and then told it would be double after the fact.
I would not recommend this salon. They are overpriced and do not care about providing quality customer service.

A very disappointing experience today. This was our 3rd visit and the manager/ director actually lied to me over the phone which is quite unprofessional for such a brand name. Here’re the details:
My wife had got her highlights and I got my cut done from senior stylist around 2.5 years ago. We liked the experience and went back. My wife booked an appointment for 31st August 2018, Friday 4: 45pm and then changed it to Saturday 3: 45 as we knew we wouldn’t be able to make it.
We went to square one on Thursday later and checked with Donato. We were told about no availability and we accepted, it was fair enough, we were trying our luck.
On Saturday, As the luck would have it, we were getting late by around 5 minutes but then an accident made us further late by another 10. I dropped the family at gate 5 entrance @3: 58pm and came to know that the stylist told her she’s half hour late, she needs to go and the rude answer that she can’t do it. This was first lie. We were precisely late by 17 minutes.
Later a senior person while talking to me on the phone said that my wife was talking about $20 increase and therefore she left. Another lie! We both had actually discussed that price had increased and the increased price is ok. I didn’t like the comment ‘well, sir, your wife is many of many customers we have and therefore we can’t bend the rules ‘. When she said I’m sorry I had to interrupt saying, I don’t think you are and disconnected.
Despite my explanation that my wife’s in her last few days of pregnancy, we’ve come twice and she can’t make it, she wasn’t treated with care and recognition of the situation.

Most unprofessional salon I have ever been to.booked an appoint for a Manicure and arrived 10 minutes early only to have them keep me waiting for over 40 minutes after my appointment time, even after check with the reception three time they kept making excuses till I asked for a manager then they tell me the manicurist scheduled for me is not in. Couple of months later I go for a Pedicure and was told while making the appoint that we receive a complimentary pair of flip flops, which I as aware of as I did have a pedicure at this location before. When I finished the Pedicure and was paying for the over priced pedicure I asked about the flip flops and was told no we don't give them we only give disposal ones to wear at the location. The employees probably keep the free bees for them selves. The only reason I went back is because I was given a gift certificate for the full service Facial, mani, pedi and had some $$ left on the gift cert so I wanted to finish it. Even the Facial and mani was not good quality. NEVER AGAIN WILL I GO TO DONATO SQUARE ONE LOCATION!

Just got a beautiful haircut today with Robyn! I haven't been this happy with my hair in a very long time! She is such a nice person too very friendly and explains how to maintain the style. Will be going back for sure

Ajam did an amazing job on my hair. I had an exceptional experience. She was very knowledgeable and friendly. I was extremely happy with the result of my hair.will be going back to see her in two weeks again!

Just received one of the best cuts if my life from Meghan. She was friendly and so very talented.for the first time in my life I dozed off in the chair! Count me in as a regular now!

Best place in Mississauga to get waxing done - ladies, trust me Carmen is amazing. Very professional and doesn't make anything awkward.

Went in for an up-do for a wedding. I showed a very specific picture of what I wanted and the lady who was doing my hair said no problem. She was very nice but was not honest with me about her capabilities. What I asked for and what I got are TWO very different things. I didn’t have time to ask her to fix it as I had to rush to the wedding. I wrote and email to the salon expressing my concerns almost a week ago and received NO response. That is very bad business etiquette. Won’t be going back unfortunately.
