Doncrest Public School

The staff is key to any school. I send my son there for past 7 years for the convenience. The parking, the bus system, pick up and drop off and location is a disaster. You get parking ticket on the street, if you pull into school, you get charged for passing school buses so only way is to park at the nearby comm. Center and walk your kids in the cold. Other than that, it has good office staff and nice new principle who handle their tough Job nicely

I had a great time in 8th grade here! It was absolutely terrific! I blame my grade 8 homeroom teacher for causing PTSD in me! It's incredible how someone may score an 86 in physical education on their report card for standing around doing nothing, while others get 75-80 for excellent involvement and following directions! There is no bias here! Instead of addressing my mental health difficulties, my teacher chose to exacerbate them! This is the greatest school for achieving yrdsb's mission of generating depression in everyone (See why on a different review)! BEST SCHOOL EVER, RECOMMEND TO SOMEONE YOU HATE!

D-O-N-C we say R-E-S-T we say you-know-we-are we are the best school in the world! We got tetherballs, we got basketballs, we got computerrrrs.lol I wonder if they still teach kids to sing this corny Doncrest Anthem. Anyway, graduated from Doncrest in 1995 and was there since the school opened. Solid education, excellent facility, supportive administration. Couldn't have asked for a better elementary school experience.

Petition to bring back Dance-a-thon's. This school was great lol 1 dollar for frozen yogurt or a freezie. Too bad covid ruined it

It's a nice school and the teachers are nice too. I spent 4 years there and would love to go back. I transferred schools for the gifted program and I miss this place a lot.

Had some bullying expierences in my earlier years but I enjoyed it here (although I'm still g7)

I'll never forget in 2008 when a teacher would yell down the hall: "Speak english, you're in Canada", and then laughed with the other teachers.

Fantastic school. Amazing teachers and a great environment. Just look out for occasional psychotic drivers in the school lane. Walk with care.

I been here for 3 years but I had to leave because of the gifted program. I really liked this place and I missed it a lot

An excellent school. Had a lot of great memories during grade 7-8. Mr. Sambla and Mr. Grandbois are both outstanding teachers.

Worst school ever, I came in grade 1 and kids bullied me so much that even though i aced my english tests, i was still afraid to speak. Teachers are apathetic and when i was playing with my mom, pushing her a bit, she got mad and gave me n's on my report card. Don't ever come here

The positive things about this school was that I was able to meet a lot of friends there and I enjoyed the specialized music program. However, their academic program can be improved as I recently found out that i missed a lot in the k-8 education in the common core standards.
