I have been their customer for almost 9 years and always welcomed with respect. It is not just a cafe, is like a family. It helped me to heal when I was sick just by going there and having tea…. You get positive vibes. May their business be successful always.

Very delicious doughnuts amazing coffee, the owner is very polite and nice only 1 thing that add a phone number.

They make their donuts fresh every day and many are sold out fast. Go early if you want more choices. I really like their cakey donuts - toasted coconut chocolate and cruellers are really good. Very soft and tender with crunchy bits. Flavours are very mild so I can really taste the dough. The yeasty donuts are a bit too dry and dense for my taste. I like them soft and fluffy. The flavours are pretty good. Mild and not too sweet. The only one I don't like is the French crueller. It's definitely dry and bland even though there is a nice custard taste. It needs more syrup and probably more egg yolk in the batter. Overall much better donuts than Timmy's and great price.

Great place to grab a coffee and baked goods.
I come here regularly and always enjoy what they're serving.
I often get their iced coffees. If you like it sweet, then you'll enjoy it here as well.
You need to come here in the morning if you want any of the donuts or other baked goods. By afternoon you won't find much.
The prices are as expected for a mom and pop shop, but the other day they charged me 70 cents for ice in a cup.
Apart from that, I love Donut Counter and always try to stop by if I'm in the area.

Very friendly place, they seem to remember my family and I since we come to this shop regularly. A somewhat quiet place with good internet connection, but the shop tends to close quite early.

I actually really like this store.the prices are great, the food and drinks are yum, the area is good, and the shopkeepers are so sweet.

I've been coming here for a quick breakfast before work a couple of days a week for the last 3 weeks. Donut Counter is the definition of mom and pop place if you ask me. They know you by name and the atmosphere is always friendly.

I don't know when they open but they do start pretty early. I get here by about 545am and they're already open. They know most of their customers by name and order if you're a regular. It's seems to be a rotation of 2 or 3 ladies in the morning but they know each customer personally. It's a very friendly coffee shop. I love the cozy nature of this place.

As there is only one person working, it can take some time for them to process your order when it's busy. There was a day where there was about 4 other customers not including me. The lady was all by herself and even though you knew she was going her fastest, there was a back log happening. It's totally not her fault and it's just not feasible to have more than one person on for a place like this so I understand. It's something you should be prepared for if the situation arises.

I am a fan of this place. If they had some hot breakfast foods on the menu it would be a 5 for me. Still, I know I will be frequenting this place many times during my commutes to work in the future.

Imagine if a hard working person put her heart and soul into running an everyday Canadian coffee shop. Here it is! Great coffee.

I'm fascinated to know where the owner learnt this business. Is she a former employee of a major chain? Or was it all from the ground up?

The donuts are subpar and every time I call the person on the phone is exceptionally rude and will refuse to answer any of my questions I would very much not recommend this place to anybody who believes in any decent customer service

I was grateful that during this time of covid I have nice service and a place to rest while waiting for my cat that was at the vet. I was allowed to use the restroom and was happy to enjoy some time at the table outside with a snack.

The way donuts were in the 90's if you love classic style donuts this is the place to go and if you have only ever had the garbage Tim Hortons you don't know what you are missing. A must try.

Good donut place it is a place that you can go to it is very available but not the best in Toronto

I absolutely love the donuts here. They remind me of my childhood. Thick and chewy just as they should be. I would get one every day if I could.

I went to st Joseph morrow park back in the days so familiar with the neighbourhood. Live in courtice and was waiting to pick my daughter and sister up from an event at a near by banquet hall -needed a coffee and decided instead of driving to Steele’s to the second cup -I visit occasionally for years to stop and give this donut shop a try
Walked in and it has a nice warm atmosphere with locals - ordered a coffee and bagel-okay the bagel is quite tasty! Well toasted and with lots of butter -coffee good what dropped is the friendliness of the guy (who looked like if he was college student age) I buy coffee a lot from Starbucks, second cup, timmies and many more (coffee addicted) if their friendliness (this guy when I even said thanks couldn’t even acknowledge me) I would not go back

Great 'neighbourly' place to sit and chat! Services are not as slick as the SB, but no one complains here!

I had a Boston cream and it was quite dry. The flavour was fine, though. Their coffee is pretty bad.

It's a neighbourhood place, though. They know their customers and their customers know them. They all chat and have a good time.

The Donut Counter is one of those rare places in Willowdale that feels "local. " It is great. To avoid using styrofoam cups for your coffee or hot chocolate just ask for a mug.

Been going here for years. I studied when I was in school and now 10 years in my profession, I still go back and Helen remembers me. Great hospitality, real pastries and good coffee!

Paid reviews. Who are these people talking about quality. A friend of mine asked for a tiny bit of sugar. And got alot in his coffee. Both cashiers couldn't speak english well. Glad the prices are cheap but wow. Id glady pay 10$ a doughnut for quality instead of 1$ for borderline edible. The coffee isnt anything special either. Surprisingly they had a few customers who stay there for a chat or work/study. I feel like they are paid actors to.

I came here pretty late in the night so most of the donuts were already gone. But I will say that the coconut flaked donut I had was delicious given that it probably had been sitting out for a while.

It was not super sweet and it was nice and fluffy. I would rather get a donut here than at Tim Hortons.

A hidden gem - coffee is fantastic, whether hot or iced, and their donuts are yummy. The apple fritter is a favourite. Go early for the best donut selection as they run out through the day.

This is a nice cozy shop. They have pastries and sandwiches if you want a bite to eat and good coffee.
