I contacted Norton a couple of months ago on referral from my realtor to move several big pieces of furniture, as we were planning to use U-haul for our smaller items as we were moving an hour away. However, there was a mixup with U haul a day before our move and we could not get the correct size truck. I phoned Norton right away and he said not to worry, he would be able to add an additional mover as well as a bigger truck!
The three movers who came: Avery, Brett and Joe were awesome! They arrived on time and were professional, polite and very organized. They packaged our items thoroughly and carefully and were so helpful in unpacking and leaving our items in our new home.
Norton was also ready to work with our budget which we appreciated.
I would not hesitate to highly recommend Norton and his team to anyone!

I’ve used this company multiple times. They are professional and efficient. They have always very mindful of moving things in a way to ensure no scratches and are very quick. I highly recommend them, especially for anyone in Durham region.

We had used them before and had an great experience but this time we had furniture damage, things we not wrapped properly. They filled the truck and left us high and dry to book our own truck the following day for the rest of the household items. When they were near the end of emptying the truck they just dumped our stuff in the living room for my elderly dad and I to finish and move boxes to the basement.
After calling we were told there is nothing they would do except fire the guy who told us to rent a truck. Not at all how to handle the situation and I would NOT recommend or use them again. Paid for a service we didn't fully get and then cost us even more. Ridiculous way to run a company. Told it was up to me to tell them how to run their business.seriously. NEVER AGAIN.

I hired Door 2 Door Movers, they arrived on time. I had two very professional guys who went to work immediately on a very hot and humid day. The guys were very friendly and respectful and made sure the move went perfect for me. I’ve used Door to Door movers 4 times and they are absolutely amazing - the teams are very polite - they care about your items and are extremely fast and efficient.no one likes the moving aspect of a move but this company really gets the job done in a quick and efficient way. I just used DOOR 2 DOOR again for the second time and they were great. The way they backed up the truck into such a small loading dock in my condo was extremely impressive. Nothing broke because Matt and Chris were so safe and diligent. Matt was great at helping me put my furniture together and Chris was just as hard working and has a cool beard. Thumbs up to Norton for making the booking process easy as pie.

My realtor referred me to Door 2 Door and I was glad she did as I wanted a smooth move from apt to condo.

D2D's crew arrived early. They were friendly and professional, rolled out a temp red carpet to keep the floors clean, wrapped items of furniture, and worked with my building's property manager to get my belongings from loading dock to the moving elevator.

Once at the new place, they set up the beds and moved my mountain of boxes into designated areas very quickly. Overall I was very pleased at how smoothly the move went

I used Door2Door movers on Oct 27/2022 to move me from Bowmanville to Hastings, Ontario, The driver Chris and the other 2 co-workers were so polite and very careful and put blankets on anything breakable and shrink wrapped everything else, not a thing was broken, highly recommend this company. Norton was very professional when he came to my house for the quote.

So I recently moved and after a bunch of shopping around I decided to go with door to door and it is more expensive than using uhaul and friends but it made it so I didn't have to lift a finger and if you haven't moved in a while.trust me it's ALWAYS a lot lot more than what you expect kuz I figured I wouldn't even come close to getting the truck full but they took the time to pack it right and it still barely fit but the guy's worked really hard and only took a small break and I'm not usually a tipper but felt they earned it, if I had to say anything negative it's that one of the guys was kinda quiet and he did answer my questions but it was just "yup" or "nope" and go right back to working but at the end of the day I know I made the right decision

Used Door 2 Door movers for TWO different moves within our family!

1- Moved my elderly parents from their house into a condo.

2- Moved myself, my partner, and our baby from our downtown Toronto condo into a house in Durham Region.

BOTH moves were great and I had a great experience from the first call I had with Norton. He helped me organize my parents move while we were away out of province, and gave them a lot of useful tips and they had a great experience as well!

We were so happy with the first move that I almost immediately called Norton and coordinated the second move for us as a young family!

All of the employees were very professional and arrived right on time.exactly when they said they would and got to work right away!

The workers themselves were great guys and were extremely helpful throughout the entire process. There was no hassle with either move and everything went as smoothly as expected/wanted!

We used door to door for our move to our brand new home. I found a few things I disliked about this company. Their hourly rate they quote on the phone is if your paying cash, wish they mentioned that ahead of time. Also they made me sign a waiver stating if they cause any damage to my property that they are not liable which is not right. Other than that, the crew were very careful just a few damage to my drywall and a gouge in my new hard wood floor.

This is the 2nd time we've used Door 2 Door movers, and we are again thoroughly pleased. From the minute you speak to Norton, you feel confident that your possessions will arrive intact and on time, and they tell you exactly how the move will go and how best to prepare.

The crew was professional, friendly and extremely hard working. We made sure they had drinks and food, as it was a very long day for everyone.

I was amazed at how well the trucks were packed and secured, so that nothing would move or fall during transport. It was like reverse Jenga or Tetris!

They also made sure that we inspected the trucks as they were emptied to make sure nothing got accidentally left behind.

As well, they are honest and will try to move everything where you want it, but also tell you when things won't fit, to make sure nothing is damaged attempting it.

As we won't be moving for awhile, we won't be needing Door 2 Door, but they should be one of/the first companies you call to move you. Price is one consideration, as you may find someone to do it cheaper, but D2D's crews work together so often they are highly skilled and work as a team.

I booked Door 2 Door for my mom's move. From day 1, they were incredibly helpful with tips on packing and preparing for the move, including a recommendation to a packing supply store that had everything we needed to get ready. We just completed our move Dec 1st, 2021 and the crew was FANTASTIC. Prompt arrival, respectful discussion about how the move would proceed, quickly assessed the apartment and dug right in. Alex, Ty and Justin were super friendly and positive and we thoroughly enjoyed interacting with them throughout the entire move. After unloading at the new apartment, they proceeded to offer help getting furniture where it needed to be and helping with any heavy items before they left. They truly went above and beyond with both the labour and customer service aspects of this job.
My mom had recently had surgery that prevented her from lifting and they were extremely aware and pro-active in helping a little bit more to ensure she wasn't stressed about one single thing. This really mattered to me (her daughter) to see that stress lifted after a long, exhausting month prepping for the move. I can not say enough great things about this company and, especially, this specific crew of workers. I recommend them to ANYONE that needs moving services! Great job guys! Thank you a million times over for making this move run so smoothly and with an upbeat, positive energy.

A couple of minor hitches but overall quite satisfied with the service. One of the 3 guys had an injury and the guy they replaced him with was useless but the other 2 were hard working and didn't stop until the move was done. Would definitely use them again, I would just request a different guy than the replacement worker they sent. One thing that really impressed me was how well they shrink wrapped all my drawers and stuff so that doors and drawers weren't swinging around or dropping out. Overall 9/10. Special kudos is deserved for Sean who was by far the best mover I've dealt with.

Norton was a pleasure to deal with prior and post move. The team showed up on time and ready to work. Ours was not an easy move - 10 hours in 40 degree weather - the crew worked incredibly hard and took great pains to get our belongings in undamaged.

Door 2 Door moved us on July 26th. The 3 movers did an excellent job. They were all extremely hard workers turning what was estimated to be a 9 - 10 hour move into just 7 resulting in some considerable savings for us. They wrapped all of our furniture to ensure everything arrived at the other end in the same condition that it left.

I'm not planning on moving again on the near future but if I was I wouldn't hesitate to use Door 2 Door again.

We used this company on July 30th, 2020 to move out of town. They arrived exactly when they told me they were going to arrive and there were 3 of them to help us with our move. All of them were extremely professional and took very good care to ensure that our items arrived at the new location in one piece. They actually handwrapped most of our large items for extra protection. This move started at 8: 30 am and didn't end until 9: 30 p.m. The same day and not once did any of them slow down or complain about having to work a 13 hr day. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for quality movers at a reasonable price.

Door2 Door moved us from our 4 bedroom, 2 storey home to our 2 bedroom condo apartment. I had met the owner, Norton Lambersky before, through a realtor friend who highly recommended the company.
The recommendation was excellent, and the reality was belter than we had ever expected. The crew arrived on time, were careful to keep the move clean, and efficient, with no time wasted.
They did an excellent job moving us into the apartment.
We needed to move over 100 boxes to a storage unit, but decided (wisely) that doing this up and down stairs from our basement would be ill advised, so we called them back and they made short work of this task as well.
Moving is never easy to do - especially when downsizing - the preparation packing, and then unpacking are time consuming and exhausting.
Door2Door took over the other hard parts - the move out and then move in a virtual walk in the park.
We recommend them highly and when our daughter bought a house, we immediately advised her to use Door2Door, and as expected, they lived up to their excellent reputation.

Not only were they extremely efficient, clearing my entire room in less than 15 minutes, but they'd been on the job for well over 12 hours by this point and they were all still extremely friendly and helpful. I moved on one of the busiest days of the year, but the man in charge kept me appraised of the situation and kept his promise, to get me in my new house by 10pm that night. I highly recommend them for their professionalism, courtesy, efficiency and quality.

This is a Company I cold called from looking online. They came to my home for an assessment and gave us a quote. It was competitive and all inclusive. No hidden charges. They also provided us with helpful tips for being prepared for the day. On moving day they arrived on time, were very friendly, efficient and completely accommodating. Saturday was my second move with Door 2 Door Movers. I was given Alex & Joshua as my movers.

It’s hard to describe how impressive these two men were. First the heat that day was brutal and yet they kept up a consistent pace, always mindful of the time.

They were unfailingly cheerful, professional, polite & so hard working. They handled every single item with so much care (even the things that were obviously of low value.) Their experience really showed when moving items like a big screen TV and other delicate or extra heavy furniture.

They had to contend with tiny, slow service elevators making their day even longer. Plus they easily handled some Superintendent drama with politeness & professionalism.

The owner of Door 2 Door came on site to ensure all was running smoothly and that I was happy.

Some might find their rates higher but in moving you get what you pay for. You get everything above plus a professionally marked truck, fully equipped with blankets and other features & clean cut, uniformed movers.
