As I get older this isn’t even the same world I was brought up into. Rent is getting out of control and these idiot homeowners who are picky. Everyone needs a place to live. Rejecting good people isn’t the way you do buisness. Idiot service waste our time when me and my wife are expecting a child.

And personally don’t ever accept anyone who lives out of country and owns properties. Bad for economy. You guys should have better morals.

(I WISH ZERO STARS WAS AN OPTION) To say that my experience with DORE Property Management was horrendous would be an understatement. In what can only be described as a gross display of negligence and insensitivity, they left me in a perilous situation that could have had devastating consequences.

Imagine this: It's 2 AM, and your home is leaking carbon monoxide, a silent and potentially lethal gas. The fire department orders an evacuation. Enbridge Gas deems the situation dire enough to red tag the water heater and shut off the gas meter. You’re left in the dark, vulnerable, and quite literally gasping for breath.

With the looming danger, I assumed DORE, being a property management company, would have provisions for emergencies. Sadly, I was mistaken. They didn’t have an emergency contractor available. Consequently, I had to take matters into my own hands and hire an emergency contractor at an ungodly hour. While I was busy ensuring the safety of the dwelling they’re responsible for managing, the least I expected was a semblance of gratitude, empathy, or a display of basic human decency.

Shockingly, when I forwarded them the bill (which, mind you, I paid out of my pocket to safeguard THEIR property), I was met with skepticism, interrogation, and sheer disdain. Instead of appreciation, I was bombarded with questions. Rather than reimbursing me, they had the audacity to deny payment, citing the amount as "high". They failed to offer even a partial refund, leaving the entire financial burden on me. It's evident that their tenant's safety isn’t a priority; rather, pinching pennies takes precedence.

Also, a word of advice for anyone being swayed by their 5-star reviews: take them with a grain of salt. It seems these glowing ratings are solicited right after lease signing, much before one truly experiences the depth of their ineptitude and indifference.

In short, if you value your safety, peace of mind, and financial well-being, steer clear of DORE Property Management. Their lack of responsibility, empathy, and basic professionalism is not just disappointing, it's downright dangerous.

I am pleased with the communication with Dore. They were able to find appropriate renters within days. They were able to deal with my issues with the cleaning and steam cleaning their service team performed at my house. I am hoping our business relationship can continue for a long time.

Dore helped me to get a beautiful house and completed all the moving within 5 days, that was really impressive the way the agents were calling even after hours and they were so kind.

Took 2 weeks to get a response, A+ tenants, good credit, strong income, and leasing agents (they kept switching) took 2 weeks to responded and we got nowhere. LOST my clients who blamed me for these pointless delays and lost my trust in your business. How do you even have a single customer if it takes 2 weeks to approve an ideal tenant when everything was provided with verification up front? You can blame a landlord but a poor leasing agent and zero accountability means landlords are being ill-advised and wasting so much time and money in this process. The worst experience in a rental situation in 14+ years of business.

A new tenant but so far they have been very fast at responding to anything we need. We needed service done at the house and they had a technician here within 24 hours. Very helpful during the move in process and answering any questions

We recently moved into a property managed by DORE and the experience has been nothing but incredible. From our initial inquiry regarding multiple properties listed on their site, to the move in date of our new home, DORE has always answered our questions quickly and helped ensure we found the perfect space.

We have dealt with multiple staff members and they have all been incredibly kind and helpful. We were also welcomed by a nice bottle of wine and some essentials (toilet paper, paper plates, etc) to get us started in case we forgot anything. It is small touches like this that make the experience all the better.

I feel confident living in a rental property managed by DORE.

Dore has been a great property management company to work with while we've been renting our current place for the past 1.5 years. We've had several different issues come up and each time they've been extremely responsive, professional, and prompt in resolving the issues.

Dore responded quickly when we contacted them for assistance with a electrical problem we were experiencing. They sent out an electrician right away and he fixed it. He was very pleasant and polite and did a good job, quickly and expertly and cleaned up the area before leaving.

Very helpful and prompt reply to repairs. Our fridge broke down, and they had a repair person at our home within the hour!

Terrible experience. Property was poorly managed, communication was awful and charges excessive and not well planned. Once you are signed up you will have no point of contact. The person who brought you aboard will disappear. Accounting and legal departments are next to incompetent; often sending incorrect information, other peoples bills and significant charges without cause. The service department will see to it that the property makes no money each month and remain that way. I cannot stress enough to not sign up with this company.

We have been using Dore to manage an apartment for us for the past 7 years, over which time they have consistently provided the highest quality of service. They’ve found wonderful tenants, quickly respond to any issues at the property identifying high quality service people (e.g. To fix issues reported by the tenants), and provide informative as well as responsive messages. We highly recommend them as owners and would also be happy to rent one of the properties they manage based on the service they provide to that side of the clientèle.

Rose and Roccalda (and I'm sure the rest of the team as well) were AMAZING and so, so helpful. They really, truly care about their clients, we got incredible service from the start of the application to after the move-in date.

I regret not contacting Dore sooner to rent from them! Thank you a million times for everything you did for our family.

The service we have received from the Dore Team has been amazing. Right from the beginning they have been professional and responsive to our questions. They are easily reached for any concerns by the tenant and are quick to action when necessary.

They are only interested in taking your money, contrary to their joke of a slogan “rent from people who care. ” We gave notice April 2 we wanted to leave June 1 and they refused to accept our notice because it did not come in on March 31. Instead, they insisted we were on the hook until June 30, refusing to release us for 90 days instead of 60 over a fine print technicality. Does that sound like people who care?

We moved our things into a new place on May 15. They proceeded to come and go from the apartment we are still paying for, not giving us due notice of their coming or going as per their own rules while we are still tenants. They claimed “it’s vacant” as our stuff is no longer there. The $1507.88 they took from our account says otherwise, regardless of whether we’re there full time.

Worse, they signed someone new for June 15, though we are STILL the legal tenants until June 30 as per their own refusal to release us after 60 days from our notice.

They will pander to you in person and on the phone and make absolutely zero effort to treat you like a human being if money is involved in any amount. If you’re a tenant, go with any other property management firm to spare yourself the trouble and disrespect. Tenants aren’t people to DORE. They are dollar signs.

If you’re a property owner, Godspeed. They’ll pickpocket on your behalf.

Look up your tenant for 16 Loyer St.as well as the many email correspondences between the two. If it takes a poor review to push you to rectify an awful situation you yourselves created and have had ample opportunity to correct, that is doubly sad and further proof of how shameless you are with public pandering. Fantastic communication!

Recently, my wife and I moved from Windsor to Ottawa and found a condo to rent online through Dore Rentals. Right from the first email, we were impressed by their professional, clear, and prompt communication. They addressed all concerns and queries throughout the rental process with a personal touch. After moving in, we pointed out some miscellaneous repairs which were addressed quickly. It's been a pleasure to see them maintain the quality of communication for the various issues we raised with Dore while living in this condo. Every person I have interacted with in their team is fantastic!

By far the best Property Management Company in Ottawa! They found me great tenants (knock on wood) for my rental home in Barrhaven and they also handle the service calls. My unit had a plumbing issue and they took care of it promptly. My tenants we're so impressed with how quickly and efficiently they took care of everything.

I don't even need to lift a finger anymore. Very affordable property management rates too!

Hello!

I want to share the wonderful experience I had working with the beautiful and bubbly Alisha from Dore - as well as the rest of the ladies who helped me get settled into my first place.

Moving out for the first time is always a daunting thing, especially in these times where some days have felt so dark. When my dad and I first met Alisha, she was instantly welcoming and made sure to explain to me that she was going to help me find the price prices possible for me and my situations.

We have been beyond blessed to receive not only those fulfilled promises but so far an amazing quality of living in a superb neighbourhood. She is always there for not only me but other residents, opening doors, giving a helping hand with a heavy bag or just throwing out a warm smile.

10/10 loved the experience with Alisha at Dore and the rest of the team who helped me being Janet and Rachelle.

As a tenant that has had multiple issues with my unit for the passed 2 months, it is excruciating how long it takes for DORE to get any repairs dealt with. I've been without a washer for 2 months with no replacement and barely any communication and i also have a big hole in my ceiling for 2 months due to a water leak that a plumber came to assess and left it with a large hole. (Dore still hasn't said anything about getting the hole fixed) I have yet to hear about any repairs being done regardless of constantly emailing and calling about it.

This has been the most frustrating experience due to their lack of urgency, lack of empathy and lack of proper communication.

Responsive, patient and professional! I just finalized my apartment rental agreement with Leslie at DORE and it was a very smooth experience. I've never dealt with a property management group to rent an apartment, and wasn't sure what to expect but after dealing with Leslie, I would highly recommend them.

I was initially flip flopping over the unit because of parking. Leslie came through and was able to get me parking. I never felt that my repeated emails or phone calls were an annoyance. He was extremely patient with me and was able to answer all of my questions, and there was a lot of them ;)

Leslie was a pleasure to work with, I would highly recommend him and his team to anyone.

Dealing with Dore Property Management in the renting and managing of my property while away for work was quite the odyssey. Expectations were constantly changing as were the Dore representative who were responsible for my file. Numerous phone calls and emails were sent to get updates and action my file. Kudos to Rose and Leslie who finally provided me with me accurate information and got this done.

Would I do it again - I would say no.
