The small interior of this place was incredibly crowded, with both the entrance and aisles filled with waiting customers and staff. Opting for takeout due to the crowded environment, I habitually marked my food choices on the menu. However, the cashier, in a loud and harsh manner, scolded me for marking the paper menu and demanded that I directly state my choices. Throughout the entire interaction, her attitude was extremely unpleasant, lacking not only a smile but even the most basic level of respect. Dining out should be an Enjoyable experience, but unfortunately, having to endure judgment based on one's face is truly disheartening. I have no intention of returning in the future.
I rarely write reviews, but every time I write, it’s a lesson of blood and tears!
The small store was crowded, with customers and service staff waiting at the door and in the aisles. So we chose to order takeout, and when ordering, I habitually checked off what I wanted to eat on the menu. However, the waiter at the cashier yelled at me and asked me not to check off the paper menu but to directly state the name of the dish. Throughout the whole process, her attitude was very bad. Not only did she lack service with a smile, she couldn't even feel the most basic respect. Eating out should be a pleasant thing, but it's a pity that paying for a meal here depends on people's faces, which is really unpleasant. I don’t plan to visit again in the future.

The dessert is great and delicious. However, it is sad the steamed egg white and milk is sold out so early. Service is not very good

Best Chinese dessert in GTA. Going for more than 10 years still support them! Mango sago is so good!

It was a hot day and I got angry, so I bought a Guiling ointment. The syrup was added without even asking. Take a bite and take it back. Tell me, you have already eaten and cannot return it. So, in order to eat Guiling Gao without sugar, I paid Shuangpei's money.

Very traditional Chinese dessert, best in the area!

Tried their rice ball 汤圆 w/ bean paste, thought would be red bean filling but there’s a citrus taste to it, very good

If you like ginger milk with strong ginger taste, you’ll enjoy it!

Very delicious Chinese traditional dessert!
Loved the assorted fruits with coconut milk add some Sago!
FYI - cash or debit only

The three desserts I had were not great. I've had much better sago fruit desserts. The cantaloupe and watermelon on top were not sweet because they aren't in season. And the mixed fruit one had canned pineapple which I find gross. Other chinese dessert restaurants I've been to switch out their fruit for this reason. And they don't use canned fruit. The hot sesame dumpling soup was pretty good but the ginger liquid was too gingery for my taste; I ended up coughing with the first spoonful. I'd recommend going to Tracy Dessert at First Markham Place.

Rice ball: Not too sticky, not too firm, just right. Coconut and peanut topping was also delicious?
Steamed egg white with milk: Smooth, jiggly, perfection?
Sweet sesame soup: silky smooth and not super sweet?

- Phoenix milk is sticky very strong egg taste
- Ginger milk very ginger, not everyone will like it
- Black sesame paste is also silken

Very authentic Chinese desserts. Came early at 3pm and already some people in it. Will try more other desserts next time!

The desserts and snacks here are always spot on. The ingredients the taste are all so good! Our favourites are the fried radish cake and sago taro in coconut milk.

Damn! One of the best fresh mango with tapioca I’ve had. There was literally a full mango inside the bowl. Typically the mango to sago ratio is saddening. However at the end of this bowl, there was actually more mango left! The mango was perfectly ripe and the mango puree was sweet but, most importantly, not too sweet! 10/10. They also serve complimentary tea which is a plus!

Ordered the walnut sweet soup, boiled milk and ginger, and glutinous rice balls with peanuts.

Walnut sweet soup - 4/5 good walnut taste, not hot enough

Boiled milk and ginger - 3/5 strong ginger taste but no sweetness at all. Got bitter near the end

Glutinous balls - 4/5 basic. Can't go wrong

I have visited this establishment before, during and "after" the pandemic, it still remains as one of my favourite places for dessert.

The taste is good, not so sweet but the ingredients are fresh. The portion is relatively fine, given the current state of inflation and price.

This establishment also offers herbal tea which is surprising.

Delicious Chinese desserts in this little restaurant. Authentic herbal jellies, ices and snacks. Very popular but not always easy to get a seat so come early and be patient. We got lucky last time that we only had to wait 15 minutes and got a table to enjoy some great desserts after an equally satisfying meal earlier. Perfect end to the evening!

I was excited to try this dessert place but maybe I got the wrong item? I tried the 'Fresh Mango with Jello' for $8.50 but the grass jelly was from a can and didn't taste great. (jelly pieces had indents from the can). I thought it would be made in-house since it's a specialty dessert shop.

Traditional Chinese dessert restaurant in the Scarborough area for over 20 years. Some of the items are very popular and will be sold out early but you can try other items which are also quite good, almost no bad choices.

Guys it’s extremely difficult for small local businesses during Covid, so pls be patient when it’s packed and you can try to visit earlier! There will be less people in the afternoon from 3-7pm.

Only a handful traditional Chinese desserts restaurants left and Double Ming is the best in Toronto already. Not cheap but consider the only best one left, what do you expect.
Opening hours are a bit weird for normal people. Open from 3 pm to 3 am. Rest on Sunday. Some popular items are sold out early. But very delicious.

The food is just OKAY. However, they take literally CASH ONLY. Come on, it's 2019 already. Even debit is not acceptable.
