Jing? I think that was the guy's name? Dude who puts bags in the back room, He was awesome! The cookies were fantastic too! Room could have had better air circulation though, location was wonderful.
I would not recommend this hotel what so ever, tv controller barely works.the app in tv to connect your phone not working, no tooth brush in room, and when I walked in the room did smell a little wired
Before I start, all of the housekeeping staff is LOVELY! They always greet you nicely and make sure you have everything you need, even when it’s not the regular housekeeping rounds. They’ll just check on you if they see you in the hallway.
On my second night, I found a live bed bug in my bed at 2: 00am. I called reception, and to their defence, they did react and respond to the situation right away. They moved me to a new, better room, and let me know they would be contacting pest control and that I could leave all my things in my previous room and someone from housekeeping (a woman) would come collect my things to get heat treated. I felt pretty good about their initial response, but everything from then on was a nightmare.
I woke up the next day and was just waiting for an update from reception as they said pest control would be contacted at 7am and should be on site in the morning. They said they would call to give me updates. Around 10am I hadn’t heard anything so I went to reception to ask for an update. Pest control had not been called, and my stuff was still lingering in the old room. Only when I prompted them did they start this process they were telling me about the night before. Everyone I speak to is telling me something different about the process.
So here I am waiting 4hours in the room without anything for the heat treatment to be completed. I receive no updates. Only when I call back are they like “oh yeah your stuff is ready”.
By the time I left the property at 6: 30pm, they had not even heard back from pest control or even talked to them - they had left a message and didn’t not at all seem pre-occupied with hearing back from them. I asked how I would know they would follow-up and look into the issue and they said they would call me for sure to follow up with the report. It’s been 5 days and I have heard nothing, so for all I know they never had public health come, and that room is welcoming new guests. That’s very negligent to public health in my opinion.
All I received for compensation was 2 mini-sized bags of chips, a lollipop, and a breakfast voucher, until I demanded a refund. They only processed a 50% refund, which makes no sense to me because the bed bugs didn’t magically appear on my second night there.
Check-in times are so long and most of the staff have very little patience. The concierge was nowhere to be found when I checked out and there was a line of ppl waiting to retrieve their bags that waited 20mins +. People were going to miss their flights!
You pay more to stay here, but it is a great location. Walking distance to many favourite attractions, the breakfast and staff was fantastic. Lots of reataurants within walking distance too. A special shout out to Doug helping me through text and Ryan at checkin was great.
Nice hotel, and very friendly and helpful staff. The location is perfect for my business and shopping needs! And there’s lots of food/restaurant choices within walking distance.
Everything went perfect until checking out. We were told that we can bring our vehicle out and in like any other place but once we came back our spot was taken and the hotel parking was full. How does a hotel not have enough accommodation for all of their guests? This is a necessity. To make things worse after we told them at check out about our situation they didn’t even consider to reduce the price or charge accordingly. We only had our spot for 1 or 2 hours. They instead fully charged us $45 for the night… ridiculous.
Perfect location to attend some appointments in the downtown core. Located right behind City Hall. They offer a Medical Discount if you can prove you have a Doctor's appointment.
Didn’t e end up staying. Whole experience was a literal nightmare. Parking garage is of the upmost chaotic and crammed to the point you must have someone direct you in order to turn around. Service was like we were a price of dirt thay flew in off the streets. Do not come here.
The worst customer service I have ever received. If I could give 0 stars, I would. Check in was a nightmare. I had to wait over 40 minutes for an issue to be addressed and management did not evwn have the courtesy to come out and speak to me directly. The management there would rather pretend you don't exist than actually do their job and address the problem. I was there to take my daughter for her first hotel experience ever and planned some stuff to do in the nearby area. I had won tickets for a hotel stay that the hotel refused to honor claiming a Hilton employee booked the room incorrectly and that was somehow my fault. Forced to pay in full for a standard room that had filthy windows and some sort of stain that looked like puke on the bathroom wall. Contacted Hilton customer service and was promised a call back from the hotel management but they never fulfilled their promise or addressed my issue with my stay. A motel 6 would of treated us better. First and last stay at this hotel. Would not recommend it to anyone.
For a Hilton, it was pretty mediocre. Clean rooms and clean building, you can tell they do take the care to keep it nice. However, it didn't feel any different than staying at a Holiday Inn. As a previous employee of one of the Four Points by Sheraton Hotels, this didn't feel even to that level. Positives are that it is right by Nathan Phillips Square, which always has something going on and downstairs right outside it has a kickass street meat spot. It was only a 20 min stroll to Scotiabank for our show we were attending, so it's in a great spot to be able to park your car for the weekend and just walk around checking things out
Rooms have a small Window to open but the air conditioner is in the room and a bit loud. Room door does not shield noise well and the light shines through at the bottom. Small fridge. Bed is too soft. Too expensive. Very helpful concierge
I stayed 2 nights here and have no complaints. The room was very clean, the beds were comfortable, the TV was really large and comfortable to view from the bed. We had a nice view of the city and it is right in the downtown area near tons of restaurants! I would stay here again.
Had short stay here last week visiting from New York. The front desk was very friendly and helpful, especially the Asian guy who was trying to help checking me in in the middle of the night. There were some miscommunication but it all got resolved and hope that he is fine. The stay was good and pleasant. The welcome cookies is tasty. Don't mind staying here again the next time visiting Toronto.
Second time staying here, strictly because there has been no rooms in the downtown, anywhere! I must say since my last stay, there has been some serious improvements, at least in the room I staying in, cleaned up worn furniture and improved the overall feel.
Check in was awful. Make sure you have a credit card or you will be made to feel like a second class citizen! More than enough on my debit for a security deposit. Was told it was fine but would not be returned till security ensured we didn't trash the room. I was here with my daughter for one night for a wedding. This experience soured my brand experience. However check out with Selen really made up for it. She was cheerful and efficient. The rooms as mentioned were clean and spacious.
I checked in at the hotel on October 3,2023, and stayed for 2 nights. The first thing that struck me was the outdated facilities. They definitely need some renovation to bring them up to modern standards. One major issue was the noise that AC made kept me awake at night. And note that the AC in my room was off. The sound came from other rooms. However, the AC was the least concerning thing. When I was leaving my room to check out in the morning, I noticed that the room door was damaged. Right above the door handle on the hallway-facing side a piece of wood veneer was chipped off. This is at a very conspicuous place on the door, anyone would notice this when opening the door. The door had no damage throughout my previous 2-day stay. In fact, I didn't see any damage when I returned to my room the night before at around 9 p.m, which means that between 9 p.m. On 10/5 and when I left the room at 11 a.m. On 10/6, the door was somehow damaged when I was in the room. It is also very strange that there is any chipped-off veneer residue on the floor. When I told the front desk, the lady at the front desk didn't take this seriously at all. She brushed it off as if the veneer had fallen off naturally, which is clearly not the case. This incident has left me feeling uneasy about the security measures in place at the hotel. I can't help but wonder what might have happened, and it's not a feeling I would want anyone else to experience. In light of these issues, I would not recommend anyone stay there until they improve their security measures.
Was visiting a friend from out of town staying here for the weekend. The room was a spacious suite, very nice. Since I didn't stay here can't comment on the service. Buildings all around so not much of a view
