Love when book shops smell like they should! Love the collection of books! Can’t wait to go back again. I am an adult who is always on a hunt for all the Roal Dahl books. So happy to find it here. When I go to a used book store, this is the vibe I want. Books laid out 2 deep on shelves and the feeling that what you want is just a little bit of digging away.

One of my favourite book stores. Literally crammed floor to ceiling with books, but somehow Doug knows exactly where everything is if you're looking for something specific. Lots of good gems if you're willing to look for them, and good prices overall.

Perfect and absolutely affordable.it’s a bit crammed (with books of course) but it’s just how I like it! The owner is very sweet and gives a cute little bookmark with your purchase! I will be coming back (:

update: the next time I came he had a selection of bookmarks to choose from… I love the one with the doggy on the ladder!

Great place, now one of my favourite preowned bookstores in Toronto. Doug is a very kind person and literally knows all books in the store, proving his mettle as he welcomed me into his store. He also showed me around the store and spoke about his collection!

There's also a greatly abundant collection of LEGO pieces and characters (he has over 10,000 of them stored away-so you can practically find all LEGO characters here), impressive LEGO shelves, table and an archway easily amassing over 100,000 pieces in constructed furniture.

Warm place, warm vibes. Will frequent!

AMAZING BOOKSTORE! Came here with a friend and I must say. Dougie's got it goin on. Found these special edition classics (in photo below) selling for only about $10 each. They look like they would be on the library shelf in peter pan novel. I would have gotten them, but I already have these books in a much uglier non special edition. The owner was a rad dude. He is obsessed with Lego's almost as much as I am obsessed with writing reviews. He has a shelf, filled with hundreds of Lego figures selling for about $12 a piece. He also made an arch (in photo below) and the front cash desk out of Lego. At this vintage bookstore, you can find things like classics, deadpool comics, children's books, newly released books, war books and much more:) I was asking the owner about a book I was looking for and he told me that he didn't have it in stock currently. He redirected me to another vintage book store he thought would have it. I love when business owners are confident in their own stock and kind enough to assist you, even if they don't make a purchase out of it. In the end my friend bought 2 books, one of which was $5 by Virginia Woolf. Giving this store 4 stars out of 5 because it has yet to become a favorite of mine, I have no doubt it will ;)

This store is far away from my home but I think it is very worth to go to there! There are many amazing and affordable books. Doug is the nicest owner I've met. I strongly recommend you to visit his bookstore!

A really cute bookstore with a ton of options and a nice owner. The books I got were all in good condition and reasonably priced.

If you're like me and enjoy going into bookstores for a good hunt, this is an excellent place; it is packed from floor to ceiling with books, as bookstores should be. Give yourself time when visiting because you'll get lost looking over the titles. They also have a large offering of comic books if that's more your thing.

I went here during the month of August while visiting Toronto and I think I spent over an hour over there. The owner is a great conversationalist and the ambience is just overall great. If I didn't live so far away I'd certainly come regularly. Will come again on my next visit!

Very nice man but the store lacked organization there were pills of books and assorted items stacked everywhere.

Friendly owner who will refer you to elsewhere if he doesn't have the book you are looking for:) he seems to be a huge Lego fan as well as the entire check out counter is made of Lego. Books are priced really well, currently a bit tight in the store as he seems to have even more inventory than usual but he is in the midst of revamping so looking forward to visiting again!

Love this place and the man inside is really helpful as well. And the used book prices is the best. Why buy ebooks that cost twice as much.

Great, rare and collectible books on Bloor. Huge LEGO fan so I can't help myself but keep coming back for more.

Love Doug Miller books - always some good finds here! Doug also doesn't mess around - if doesn't have what you are looking for he will let you know where to go, which is nice. Window front display and selection of books on the middle shelf area when you first walk in is always so well curated. Long live books! Thanks Doug!

Great used book store with lots of personality. The owner is very helpful and friendly. Really hope they survive through the lockdown, this is one of my favourite book shops in the city.

Doug is an amazingly knowledgeable reader and has a great collection of books. My boyfriend is very particular about keeping books in good condition so he had never been interested in used book stores - until we went to Doug’s. His store is a community staple and I am so appreciative of his friendly chats and accessible pricing.

Loved it, great collection of books used and new. If you're looking for something specific you gotta roll the dice, but the owner is really helpful and can reccommend something similar in store or where you might get it from. Also, the man has made a desk and archway out of Lego - check it out!

We've been buying books from this store for couple of years and Doug is a great guy. Plenty of choices on all genres!

The staff here are really friendly and helpful. Definitely the kind of people you can ask your questions to and feel they've taken the time and interest to help you out.

It can be a bit of a chore to find something if you're not looking for anything in particular due to how the store is organized, but if you have something in mind, they will help you find it.

Either way, it's still a great place if you know what you need or otherwise. Great selection!

Doug Miller Books is fantastic. Good selection of literary and gebre genre fiction, and Mr. Miller can provide reliable recommendations if you're stuck on what to read. Now the shop sells Lego too. My first choice of bookstore in Toronto.

Great selection of books, very approachable owner with excellent knowledge of his stock. I picked up 6 philosophy books for less than the price of 1 of them new. Hoping to visit again very soon.

It's too overcrowded here and no occult section but they have a lot of used books on many other subjects and owner is friendly.

This store is loaded with a vast selection of books; I was impressed by the number and variety. The owner was extremely approachable, knowledgeable, and helpful; he answered any questions I had and gave advice on other places to check out in the city. You'll definitely find something worth buying here.

Most books seemed to be stored two deep on the shelves.

Good selection of books but tight, hard to move around and most of the books are unorganized or unreachable, still bought a book and found things ok but it wasnt fantastic

There are definitely a variety of books available at this location, but I found it difficult to navigate the store or locate anything specific, if you enter with something in mind.

Great bookstore. Doug is helpful and friendly and knows his stock - if you ask him for a book he'll either tell you he doesn't have it, or find it for you. I've never seen him wrong. Great prices, great deals. Also the right spot for buying comics, comic art and, most of all, lego.

At the front of the store on the left hand side is a shelf of $1 books which can include some real gems. Organization is a bit chaotic, but you can just ask the owner if you're looking for something particular. He claims to know the location of every book in the store (and I believe him).

I love this place! This is one of my favourite bookstores in Toronto. I think small bookstores often have a reputation of being more expensive and having a small selection, but Doug Miller has great prices and an amazing selection of recently published books as well as classics. Moreover, Doug Miller is extremely knowledgeable of books. He knows his store like the back of his hand (probably better, lol) and can even tell you where you'll find books at other bookstores in the city.

Somewhat haphazard organization but amazing collection with fairly inexpensive prices and very friendly staff.
