Douglas Memorial Hospital: Urgent Care Services

As I sat there for hours then got moved into a room I over heard the registration nurse and the cleaner talking horrible about the parents of 2 young children who came in after me calling them stupid and how their wasting everyone's time bringing their sick kids in they should of just gave them Tylenol aid stayed home. The registration nurse threw out f bombs so angry and basically said how she hated her job.then retire health care is awful now you have discusting rude ppl who are supposed to have compassion. You ignorant unhappy ppl should quit your job. You disgust me and make ppl feel more awful then they do with your rudeness and dirty looks. Makes you wonder what kind of human you are outside of work. The cleaner knew I over heard and made sure she didn't make eye contact with me. I would love to know who to contact because there's more. Patient privacy also was violated. I could tell you about the older lady infront of me for the doctor and nurse were laughing about her issue as they left her room speaking pretty loud about it. The blond older registration lady.quit your job.your a nasty person who doesn't belong in Healthcare

Every time I have ever gone to urgent care, I have been treated timely, efficiently, and everyone is very friendly and professional! I have family members who use it and everyone’s feelings are the same exceptional hospital! Horrid they are getting cut back on so many things it’s unfortunate! We have no other place to go in the Fort Erie area! These guys are getting burnt out because of cutbacks.

Had an extremely horrible experience tonight. Heard the doctor/nurse practitioner scream at not only us but other patients when they didn't know how to explain their symptoms started. Kept being asked "what happened" instead of "what are your symptoms". My spouse who is autistic got SCREAMED AT and when I asked them if they had read their chart I got told "I glanced at it".
We were not given a hospital bracelet regardless of my spouse having two EXTREME medication allergies and the doctor also did not ID us or confirm the patient when they walked in.
We were almost not given a prescription until we mentioned we had insurance. Didn't help that as a queer couple we felt entirely judged and talked down to by this doctor. We also almost waited 4 hours while they only saw 1 patient at a time. Another gentleman in the waiting room joked "good thing we're not dying or we'd be dead by the time they saw us" and it was true. The staff did not care. We arrived just before the 7pm turnover, waiting at triage, was told only a 3 minute wait until the new staff took over- we waited 45 MINUTES TO BE TRIAGED.
Save yourselves the energy and just go to a walk-in, you'd be way better off than in the hands of this place.

Gave myself a pretty nasty gash and needed some stitches. It was a smooth and easy experience from triage to help from my doctor and procedure. Thank you for fixing me up!

I request the management please read these reviews and take action.
Urgent care nurses are very rude to the patients, I thought they were rude with me only but I was wrong, they are rude with other patients too.
They treat me like hell specially the triage nurse (lady nurse) she was extremely rude with bad attitude. I was very upset all week after visiting urgent care and still feel bad.
I will write her name next time and will take action against her if she do the same again.

Took my friend here today. Excellent. In and out quickly, including blood work xrays and ECG. Less than 2 hours. Staff fantastic.

Came here for a visit with my mother because my uncle is staying at this hospital. The staff on the fourth floor very inconsiderate and rude don't know how to implement rules. And completely ruined our visit. I was floored by them telling my by niece and my daughter ages 4&3 could not attended the visit. No one told us this at the front desk or while visiting. The muse at front desk that do screenings said the little ones were okay to go in gave us all masks. And mid visit we are rudely ask to leave not even being able to have a proper goodbye. I am appalled by the dynamic of your rules if this hospital is going to make rules they should make sure that all staff are implementing them at the designated times. This isn't even a hospital it's a hospice I understand that it's covid but we all need to see our family still and the way they treated my family was very disrespectful I will never be recommending this hospital to anybody.

I took my daughter to Urgent Care overnight. The nurse that took care of us was amazingly sweet. It's a long drive for us, but worth it to not have to wait hours. Thank you
