Dove Cleaners

In this post-COVID era, when decent customer-service has virtually vanished, I was very pleased with the warm, friendly reception I received as soon as I entered. Arna was lovely and personable, and took her time to answer my questions. I was also very pleased that the lamb skin jacket I brought in to be cleaned was restored to mint condition. I will definitely return to this location to have other cherished items cleaned again. Thank you!

The company asked me to write a review of my experience, which was surprising as it was quite negative, but here is what happened. I dropped a suit off and pointed out two small dirt stains that needed to be removed. Three days later an employee called me and said "I can't tell if the mark is gone or not. Do you want to come in and take a look? " I asked her to send it for a second cleaning if she was unsure. They did not send it for a second cleaning. They then tried to charge me $106 for cleaning the pants and jacket. I expressed that that price was wildly above my highest estimate. I had budgeted $50-55 for cleaning. The employee lowered the price to $76, which was still absurdly high for a basic clean. I expressed again that I felt I was being unfairly overcharged. She said that I could save money by "not ordering in sushi tonight" and that $50 vs $76 wasn't a big price difference if I was already paying for netflix (?). She then bragged about how an ultra-wealthy client (with a chauffeur) had brought a $6000 suit in earlier that day, as if that was supposed to make me comfortable with getting ripped off. Go ahead a charge him $108 for a routine cleaning. I am taking my business elsewhere.
