Dove Cleaners

Very friendly and quick! I'm from our of town and needed my suit clean as soon as possible, and they got it to me a day earlier than they originally quoted.

They say they are green in big letters yet when i asked them they use perc, most toxic solvent in the industry and package everything with plastic. Its not ok to green wash in order to charge $32.00 plus tax for a shirt.

Edited: after reading your reply I want to clarify, i had a full on conversation with your employee at the shop and mentioned to me multiple times that if the care label says P on it, then you use Perc. Thats why I was shocked. She mentioned the green earth machine but also said perc is available, which is a big no no for sustainability. Having a green earth machine doesnt mean you are sustainable if you still use toxic perc on occasions.

I then asked about the plastic and her reply was “I am just an employee here”. Please train your staff if you truly are sustainable. Its a culture and a belief system, not text on a website.

PS why do I care and know so much, because i run one of the largest dry cleaning businesses in Dubai. I came to toronto looking for a good cleaner and after basic questions, i managed to expose your practices

I use the Dove location on Belair, yorkville. The quality is too notch and the service is great. Megan is always there to greet me with a smile, she makes the experience really memorable. If your are looking for a new dry cleaner/ alteration place, go see Megan at Dove.

IRRESPONSIBLE, FALSE ADVISED SERVICES, FAILURE TO DELIVER THE PROMISES.

Wonder why this business is not registered in Better Business Bureau Toronto.

No development yet, after I rejected the idea of bringing back the damaged and poorly done drycleaning clothing for inspection. PICTURES AND VIDEOS ARE THE PROOF! What do you need inspection for?

First time using their service, had discussion with Megan R.for the service involved. Being promised to do her QC before sendingback to me. Jewelry detail damaged, stain and solutions résidu is visible all over the edges of my jacket hood. Awful and more in the other garment. I was ready to pay more to get them done properly.
I want my money back and damage to be compensated.
I have pictures prove.

In response to the Owner's response:
I already responded in my email, there is no way you will touch my garments again, with your fake advertisement professional dry cleaning service, failed in delivering your promises (the pre-inspection, QC after getting the garments back to your store etc.)
I also want to mention the additional bad cleaning results were also spotted on my other garment (discoloration).
Let me be clear: the garments were sent to your location with discussion of how and what to be done with them, with shared info at the beginning, there was no mentioning of the garments condition that potential can be resulted in the condition pictures are showing, (and I know for a fact they should not be.) concerns were shared right after I got the garments back in discussion with Megan R.and I am committed to pay top price for it in the market to get them properly taken care of and I did; the result is bad and wrong, and you can not get it right with failure of delivering your promises, and damage is made and I do not ever want to you to see and touch my damage garment again. And you can not fix it, with my meager knowledge of the garments and brands, and care instructions (2 decades) you are not competent to do the job with the price you charge. I WANT MY PAID MONEY BACK AND ADDITIONAL COMPENSATION OF THE DAMAGE ON MY GARMENTS PLUS THE TIME, STRESS INVOLVED. Can you handle it?

I once spilled some matcha latte on a pair of beige cotton pants. So stressed because I just got the pants and they might be ruined. Took it back to the store and they recommended I go straight to Dove. Four days later the pants are good as new, no stains that I can see and also pressed.
Dove also cleaned my corduroy puffer jacket and my shirts. Really nice cleaner that takes care of delicate fabrics. Thank you so much!
