I am grateful to Dr Allyson's team, my daughter has autism, they had a lot of patience with my daughter and a lot of love, they did everything possible to give her the tests that my daughter needed, as a father I am deeply grateful, because we were stressed listening to Our daughter screamed, throwing tantrums, and Dr. Allyson's team motivated us and told us to calm down. My daughter found the atmosphere so good that in the end she agreed to take the exams. She had tried somewhere else, and because of the diagnosis of our daughter, they kicked us out, because her screams bothered them, I mean, it is a very comfortable, quiet place, they are very patient with the children, thank you Dr Allyson! I give it 5 stars!

Waited over 1 hour to be seen by the optometrist. The receptionist also called me 3 times, constantly confirming my already confirmed appointment…After the eye exam the receptionist tells me they don't bill to private insurance, but a different receptionist comes along and says they do. I ended up paying cash and submitting manually. Very slow and annoying experience. Do not recommend.

Dr, Shen is a great doctor. She took her time to examine my son’s eyes thoroughly. She was able to diagnose the eye problem. With the prescribed medicine, my son’s eyes are a lot better and I am sure he will completely recover very soon.

I had red eye on a Saturday night. I called Sunday morning at 9am and they got me an appointment at 11am. She found an eyelash inside my eye and pulled it out and give me drops. Very professional and fast

Very nice staff. I had a test I wanted done urgently, I called the office and although was fully booked I got an appointment the same day. Got my report two days after as promised. Very happy with the service provided.

Very bad clinic.the doctor speaks very fast.the room is super hot.no ventilation. Don't recommend at all.

My 2 year old kid loves Dr. Cheung. She is very experienced and knowledgeable with smaller kids. She would spend time to explain and provide opinions, as parents we know how important this is, and I really appreciated it. I would definitely recommend her to my kid’s friends.

I came here for a checkup. Dr. Tang was really helpful and professional answering my concerns regarding dry eyes problem. I will come back for next year's checkup.

Very friendly staff & the doctor; the place is in accordance with Covid protocol; very neat careful; but, for some reason, I had to wait more than
half an hour; still, no idea why; no patient was before me; other than this, very nice place to go for your eye check-up.

I wish there was an option to literally give 0 star because this clinic does not even deserve 1 star. Their client services is beyond terrible. It is bad to the point that if you were to go blind and they could fix it in matter of a day, they certainly wouldn’t do it and on top of it will make you suffer by putting you on wait and never get back to you. It has been 4 months that I am waiting for my contacts, which i initially supposed to get in couple weeks. Their service is inhumane and I do not know how they are still up and running. This place must close down and their license taken.

Dr. Allyson Tang Optometrist came highly recommended by many young parents in the Vaughan/Woodbridge area. Each one of our visits has been quite pleasant. The location is well-staffed for scheduled appointments.

The initial tonometer examination is provided at the storefront. In the back, the shop is well-equipped with visual analyzers/retinal scans along with phoropters in the exam rooms. I’ve been impressed by the youthful optometrists who are able to keep young kids entertained & distracted with toys/animal images while examining their eyes. This helps convince kids to come back for their regular appointments.

All of our previous visits have been on weekends so I’ve yet to actually meet Dr. Allyson Tang at the optometry but all of the staff & associates are consistently patient and friendly especially with young kids.

After being subjected to the major national and international lens and frames outlets over the last 20 years, who were more interested in my money than my health, it was immensely reassuring to find Dr Allyson Tang, who displayed great knowledge and commitment to genuine eye care and health. Far from being motivated by how much money my business would bring, she went through a series of tests and diagnostics with great care, empathy and professionalism, resulting in qualified prescription and recommendations. I left the premises feeling greatly reassured in my continued eye and vision health.

Book appointment online and received service the next day, good service, no push for buying glasses onsite. And I thank Dr. Melissa Le very much, she provided me eye scan for no charge because she concerned about my eye situation (even I booked the appointment without eye scan).

Professional and friendly staffs, the whole eye test experience is very comfortable. Highly recommend!

My first visit was great, Dr. Le thoroughly conducted my eye exam and the receptionist was very friendly and caring. However, I was NOT HAPPY with the lens fitting process AT ALL!
First of all, I was charged a lens fitting fee when I was never charged for such a fee elsewhere before. Secondly, I was always given a bunch of different brands to try out elsewhere but I was only given 2 here even after I had paid! Thirdly, the lens power was never accurate so I had to go back and forth THREE TIMES. I know that astigmatism lenses are more tricky to figure out the right fit and power but never had to go through this hassle before anywhere else. And the WORST PART is the doctor and the staff weren’t friendly about it and made me feel as if I am causing them trouble. In conclusion, AFTER A MONTH AND A HALF since the eye exam, I was able to order my contacts that fit me well. It was annoying to spend time and money (gas) going back and forth but it would’ve been FINE IF THEY WERE NICE ABOUT IT, BUT THEY WEREN’T! Never wanna go back

I needed immediate attention due to an eye injury and they made room in their packed schedule. They gave me great medical care and am now on the mend! Thank you to everyone there.

We went Sat. Dec. 5,2020 for my son's annual eye check-up.
Pros: as always, all staff are polite, nice, and happy to see customers; strong Covid-19 protocols are being followed such as, mask wearing, entry door locked where staff control the entry/exit of customers for # control, waiting area is bare/clean looking, only one parent allowed with kid for an appointment, customers not able to personally pick/touch glasses frames and need to ask staff for help, and seems like they wipe stuff down; Dr. Tang is good with kids (currently 5 years old but has been coming since at least 3 years old) ; they have an OptoMap machine which screens and identifies issues that can't be determined during the regular exam.

Cons: Although we were ok with a last minute reschedule (i.e. They called around 12 pm the day of our scheduled appointment) to be 1-hour earlier from 3: 30 pm changed to 2: 30 pm, we were disappointed that we had to wait so long [about 30 minutes, which feels like forever in a waiting room with nothing to distract and entertain kids]. They said the reason for the reschedule was to service us better. We arrived a bit early at 2: 27 pm and as instructed, we called to be let in. We were able to do the initial eye inspection that takes only a couple minutes with one of the assistants fairly quickly. So we were ready to see the doctor by 2: 35 pm. However, we were instructed to wait more. We didn't get called in to see Dr. Tang until after 3 pm. I'm sure they had their reasons, but we felt that they should have either (A) called to reschedule our 3: 30 pm appointment to be 3 pm instead so that we wouldn't have to wait so long as being rescheduled to 2: 30 pm did not make sense to us. OR (B) they could have just kept our initially scheduled 3: 30 pm appointment as the reschedule to 2: 30 pm did not feel like it serviced us better, which was their reason for the reschedule.
The other CON, for parents to be aware of, is that OHIP doesn't cover the OptoMap service which is an incremental $58 (as at Dec. 2020). Not necessarily a fault of Dr. Tang or the clinic as they do tell you pricing in advance of the service being performed, but something that is important for people to know/consider.

Elvin was professional and his follow up was very much appreciated. The whole office seems to care. Would highly recommend them to anyone.

We had a good experience about the staff and outstanding service from Dr. Melissa Le. She took care and answered all questions that we concerned about my sons’eyes. She is very knowledgeable professional and friendly with patients. These staffs were very helpful. Love to be in this office and definitely recommend to anyone to come.

The doctors here are great! However, I highly suggest the administration should improve their efficiency or the way how they manage the appointments. It took me over 2 HOURS for the eye exam.apparently most time was just waiting.

My 6 years old daughter is her patient, because Dr. Tang is very nice and professional both of my wife and I switched my yearly eye exam from other doctor to her as well.

I had my eyes examined by Dr. Tang years ago in downtown Toronto and I was very impressed with her professionalism. She was very thorough and caring. The past few months I have been experiencing sharp eye pain and I immediately thought of Dr. Tang. With the help of my sister I was glad to find Dr. Tang's current office in Vaughan as she is no longer practicing in the venue I used to see her. With the help of her assistant Cherrie I was able to see Dr. Tang so quickly instead of having to wait until the end of the month as she understand the urgency of my concern and need. During the recent visit, Dr. Tang gave me a very thorough examination, showed me the microscopic images of my eyes exam on a computer and explained them in details. Her thorough assessment puts me at ease and very educational. Her team understands patient's needs and concerns to help prioritize care. I highly recommend Dr. Tang and her team to anyone for eye care.

Terrible experience here. I just called to see if I have an eye infection in one eye and was refused to be seen because they think it's a symptom of covid. I do not have covid. I irritated my eye and may need a prescription antibiotic. I feel they are not doing proper practices. Also they pushed for eye pictures and then later told me that they weren't covered after I did them on my first visit. I will NEVER return here.

Extremely rude and disorganized. She was persisting that I have the eye exam that I had to pay extra for and asked me 3 times why I wasnt doing it. Also her receptionist is very annoying with the amount of times she called me to temind me of my appointment. 3x. I will not be back. The customer service is very excellent, and the people there are very nice and precise. Thanks to them, they were able to point out a very serious medical condition with my son. They were very urgent to get us to a hospital “emergency” and there my son was examined and we found out he had a tumor. I would recommended this optometrist to many people.

Dr Allyson Tang is very patient with kids. My 2.5 year old was kind of shy and Dr Allyson Tang found fun little animals to get him to warm up to her. She is also super friendly with my 8 year old. The eye exam became really fun for them! Most of all, I was able to get clarifications for the directions for over-the-counter eye drops that she recommended, again, as I was too distracted with the kids at the time she gave the instructions in her office. I really couldn’t have asked for a more fun, patient, and responsible optometrist!

The best experience I've ever had at the eye doctor. Friendly, extremely knowledgeable. The doctors don't feel like they are rushing you out the door to get to another patient. They take their time, talking about your eyes with you. 10/10 won't ever visit anywhere else unless I need to.
