Dr. Carol Waldman

We had a wonderful experience with Dr. Carol Waldman and her office and I cannot say enough good things about her. We went to her after exhausting all other options for my daughter who has a deformity issue in her front tooth since birth. We did not even have to tell her what our concerns were because she noticed the problem as soon as my daughter smiled. From our first visit, her expertise and competence was evident and she explained everything to us in detail. She is a perfectionist and she persisted until she was satisfied with the results. She is a kind and caring professional and the first dentist to take into consideration how important a teenage girl’s smile is to her. Every other dentist we saw told us that she would have to wait until she was an adult to fix the problem and they gave her a temporary fix which looked horrible. Dr. Waldman was also very accommodating since she knew we came from a distance, she fit us in many times to complete the work so we didn’t have to go back. We will forever be grateful to her for giving our daughter her smile back and for her dedication. Our daughter’s teeth look amazing and we couldn’t be happier. I highly recommend Dr. Waldman to anyone looking to improve their smile by someone who genuinely cares and is tops in dentistry. Thank you Dr. Waldman!

Been going for over a decade. Pleasant staff. Office could use an update as a minor detail. Would LOVE if they bill insurance directly instead of having to pay myself first then getting reimbursed.

High tech, service-oriented and most importantly an impeccable finished product. A beautiful smile makes me feel like a million bucks. And makes me smile more!

Dental appointments have been, until I met Dr. Waldman traumatizing for me. Not only is Dr. Waldman an expert in her field, but she makes sure her patients are comfortable. I no longer need to white knuckle my way through each and every appointment. And she has the most amazing latest equipment. I really can’t say enough good things about Dr. Waldman and her staff. They are all so welcoming. And Monica, always cheerful, makes you feel as if you were the most important patient that has ever walked through the door. I wouldn’t dream of going elsewhere and it’s a bit of a drive from where I live.

I have been going to Dr. Waldman for many years. When she moved her office from my neighbourhood, I decided to stay in the neighbourhood, as the location was ideal. One year later I went back to Dr. Waldman. She is worth the drive! In my opinion, she is the best dentist in the city. She is personal, professional and current in all of today’s technologies. Her staff adore her, as she shares her knowledge and experience with them.

If there is something below one star I would not hesitate to put it. Very very bad experience.the cleaning technicians were rude and did not even say Hi or communicate with me. They were in a rush and all the time telling each other how many patients are left before they can FINALLY leave. My mouth was full of blood after 10 minutes cleaning and the girl did not bother to fill up the cup with water so that I can rince my mouth correctly. I was left in the excessivily tiny and uncomfortable room with blood all over my mouth. However this is not the worst experience.the dentist herself did not bother to come and speak directly to me about the results of my X-Ray.she already took another patient and did not explain to me the source of my pain.when I asked the technician about the X-Ray results.the girl went to the dentist and the dentist.busy already with another patient.told the girl to tell me the results. WOW! Highly professional! How can I believe a dentist who did not even bother to come and speak to her patient who was just behind the wall of the other room? Seeing this rush and lack of professional behaviour, I could not even believe her. However, I insisted to hear the results from the dentist's mouth directly and she made me wait to finally come and speak to me in front of the door. I ended up by paying 160 $ (and of course they do not take the money directly from the insurance!) for 10 minutes cleaning of one tooth (YEs! She only asked her technician to clean the tooth that I told her was hurting me and asked me to come again and again for cleaning!) and of course. I returned home with excessive pain and night fever.
If you are someone who cares about being treated respectfully and looking to have solid and professional interpretation of your situation, do not think to go to this cabinet and this doctor as the whole team (except the secretary at the front desk) proved to be disrespectful and disappointedly unprofessional.

Dr Waldman was recommended to me by a friend and I am so happy I followed her advice. Not only is Dr Waldman caring, kind, friendly and an expert in her field, her staff are all as well. They all provide detailed explanations about any task they are doing from cleaning your teeth to billing. She has never recommended anything unnecessarily (which I have experienced at other dentists' offices.) My whole family is under her care. She corrected my daughter's extreme crossbite at 5 years old within one year. They handled making the mold of her retainer as well as anyone at Sick Kids would have. My daughter has the most beautiful smile now. My husband has Invisiline through Dr Waldman. He was born with 2 missing teeth which shifted his bite so basic chewing was grinding his teeth down and eventually he would have lost them. She has managed him even while we went to live in another country for a year. He needs Invisiline for his job but she did recommend other options that would have been less expensive. For myself, she has been my savior. I developed a chronic tendonitis in my L jaw (TMJ) where my jaw would feel put of place and she came up with a solution right away by recommending a bite reprogrammer which actually worked within 3 weeks. Then, unfortunately, I sustained an injury at work being kicked in the face which completely threw my bite off. I was having painful spasms to my jaw on both sides and I was unable to chew and had difficulty talking. Dr Waldman was very supportive and had me wear the bite reprogrammer to help me heal. She has been performing Occlusal Equilibration which has had a tremendous effect to my pain and my bite. I really do recommend Dr Waldman and her staff for any oral health needs. Truly outstanding care.

We really didn’t like going to dentists. However, that was before we met Dr. Carol Waldman. From the moment we stepped through the door and saw Monica’s smiling face at the reception desk, we felt comfortable and at ease. Although we had not seen a dentist for a while, Dr Waldman did not judge us or make us feel ashamed. Her philosophy was, “Well now you are here so let’s fix the problem”. Dr. Waldman is the consummate professional. She is a perfectionist who won’t let you leave until both you and she are completely satisfied with her work. Dr Waldman and her staff are some of the most caring people around. We don’t feel that we could have received better care anywhere. We would highly recommend Dr. Waldman to anyone.

I had just left another dentist office in tears when I phoned York Mills Family Dentistry to see if they could squeeze me in for an emergency. The last dentist had left my teeth in terrible shape and I was embarssed to be out. They took me in immediately and were amazing from the minute I stepped inside the doors. I still recall how I replied when Dr. Waldman asked me how I felt about my teeth when I first became her patient over 7 years ago. My teeth weren't perfect, my parents could not afford braces as a child and my childhood dentist removed teeth to make room. But I thought they were fine. A few years later I put my trust in Dr. Waldman and agreed to a full regime to improve my dental health and smile which included the installation of a Haas Appliance to expand my palate, a bone graft to replace deteriorated bone from childhood extraction, gum tissue graft, full metal braces and an implant to replace one removed as a child. The entire process was easy, very easy and with very little discomfort. Most surprising was that the process did not require me to make any real changes in my life, my diet or my daily routine. The gentle care and high degree of skill and professionalism of Dr. Waldman and her staff made this that easy. I am now free of braces and wearing an upper retainer which is so comfortable that I often forget that I am wearing it when starting a meal. I smile with pride and still cannot fathom how Dr. Waldman created the smile from what I started out with. There are not enough words to say how very thankful that I am for the care, the planning, the skillful work and the amazing results that I received under Dr. Waldman.
