While I am still in the recovery stage, one of the first things I thought of doing was, to express my sincere gratitude to the ‘TEAM CHEMALY’ for everything they did for me. {‘Team Chemaly’ refers to Dr. Daisy Chemaly and her team including administrative staff, clinical staff, surgical staff, anesthesiologist, and attending nurses. }
I was diagnosed with a Dentigerous cyst last year. The dentists, dental surgeons, and oral surgeons recommended the maxillofacial / oral surgery which was quite complicated. There were mixed opinions about the ‘pros and cons’ of the surgery, that was delaying my decision. Due to the fear of side effects and excessive anxiety, I was liking the people whoever was advising me to refrain from the surgery. After putting off this surgery for almost a year, I eventually decided to get it done by the experienced hands of Dr. Chemaly. The ‘Team Chemaly’ explained to me in details about the procedure and the associated risks.
On the day of the surgery, I was quite anxious. Just before the surgery, Dr. Chemaly comforted me and assured me that I would not feel any pain due to the sedation. The only thing I remember is that I had asked the doctor to loosen the strap tied on my hand. When I woke up, I heard Dr. Chemaly saying that all went well. After the procedure, the doctor gave necessary instructions to the attending nurse for monitoring my condition. Right the next day I got a call from the doctor’s office to find out how I was doing and to book a follow-up appointment. During the follow-up visit, Dr. Chemaly looked happy at my recovering condition and expected that I would be back to normal soon. I am glad that I was in the safe hands!
Special thanks to Dr. Daisy Chemaly and Jeanette for adding the flavor of their personal touch to comfort me during the entire process!
My concluding remarks: 5 stars! Perfect score of 10 out of 10! I strongly recommend Dr. Chemaly to anyone needing the oral care and maxillofacial surgical services! - Praveen G.
The girl at front desk was very rude and accommodating. I was trying to reschedule an appointment for my son because he had to work, and they told me it as not a good excuse because he should know he’s schedule in advance. They wanted to charge me $350 for a cancellation fee for an appointment I had only made 2 days before. I waited on hold for over 10 minutes for a manager and then the other front desk girl picked up the phone, so I didn’t get to speak a manager. Also, when we went the first time for the consultation our appointment was 2 hours late with no explanation, they kept telling us just a few more minutes. I wouldn’t recommend this place.
After putting off this surgery for years due to fear about experiencing pain after the procedure, I finally decided to go to Dr. Chemaly who removed my impacted wisdom tooth yesterday morning and so far I have no swelling or pain. I don’t know how she did it! It was my first time ever getting sedated as well and the nurse did a great job with explaining things to me and making sure I was comfortable. Great experience and highly recommend Dr. Chemaly and her team!
Today I had 6 wisdom teeth removed, yep 6, needless to say I was a tad nervous.
Dr. Chemaly and her team were brilliant. I was very nervous about being put to sleep and undergoing the procedure but all in all, my experience was 10/10.
It hasn't even been 12 hrs since my procedure. I can't believe how comfortable I feel and this is a reflection of the precision and efforts of those in this office.
True professionals work here and i would recommend Dr. Chemaly and her team to anyone who needs their wisdom teeth taken out.
Front staff service 5 stars Doctor treatment 5 stars, she removed one of my wisdom teeth, I felt great next day.
However I can’t give 5 stars due an unpleasant experience with one of the nurses, I wasn’t even on her care, after the procedure I ask the nurse that was taking care of me to give a face mask, my mouth was open I couldn’t close, so I didn’t want to go outside like that. I mean a single simple mask face, she came over and I asked my why I was asking for a mask, maybe I’m overreacting but first, I don’t think was the right thing to do from her. Second, I asked for a single simple mask, I brought my own but some how was left at other room. Anyway I do understand policy and everything but I don’t think she should done that, I wasn’t her patient and I didn’t ask for something that couldn’t be done.
Customer service should come from every staff not just the doctor, front desk or some nurses, should come from everyone at the clinic.
Dr. Chemaly and her team are great! I needed to get my wisdom teeth removed but my insurance was going to expire in a week. Jeanette booked me a consultation and the surgery within couple days! The surgery estimation was also a lot lower than another oral surgeon I had been referred to. Had very minimal post operative pain thanks to Dr. Chemaly!
I went in for a consultation a couple months ago, I arrived on time and waited for a bit. No biggie. Then I spoke with the doctor for a maximum of 4 minutes, and was charged $120! I've never paid so much for a consult in my life! Not only that, but the estimate I got was completely astronomical and I didn't feel like the doctor was really listening to what I was communicating, as there were some things I didn't want to have done at the time. So anyway, the estimate I received was north of $2,000, I went elsewhere and had the procedure done for less than $400 without any complications.
Dr. Chemaly and her team are so amazing. On the day of my wisdom teeth extraction, I had a panic attack in the parking lot and decided I wasn't going to go in. I called the office and tried to explain what was going on, sobbing and hyperventilating. I was afraid that for some reason I'd wake up in the middle of my surgery, and the idea of being sedated and put to sleep terrified me. The receptionist was able to put Dr. Chemaly on the phone and she calmed me down within minutes. She was very patient and sweet. She told me that she would take good care of me, to trust her, and to try to just come in for the surgery. I finally walked into the office (about half an hour after I was supposed to be in surgery) and signed a waiver and was taken to the surgery room by two nice nurses. They began prepping me for surgery, and wow, they were so patient with me! My anxiety was skyrocketing at this point, so I wasn't able to fully lie down in the chair and kept fidgeting, sitting up, and talking. Dr. Chemaly came in and held my hand and spoke so gently with me. She was by my side until I was asleep, constantly distracting me and making me feel better. Finally, the nurses pushed the medications through the IV and within SECONDS I was knocked out. The last thing I remember was talking about vacations with Dr. Chemaly, and then suddenly I was in the car being driven home! No pain, no memories, no nothing. This office is truly amazing and I'll definitely recommend Dr. Chemaly and her team to everyone I know. I will come here for any surgeries or procedures I may have in the future as well. Thanks again Dr. Chemaly and team!
Every-time I went to visit with Dr Chemaly I had a great experience. Nice reception staff and nurses. Dr Chemaly is amazing and extremely detail oriented. She removed all 4 of my wisdom teeth SO cleanly that I had zero swelling and very litter pain.
Dr. Chemaly and her team are SO wonderful! I went to get my wisdom teeth removed and her team was so lovely. I was very nervous and they calmed my nerves and made me feel extremely comfortable. They walk you through the process and give you all the tools to be comfortable as you recover. I loved the support I received after the removal as well. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Chemaly and her team a million times over! Thanks so much all!
I'm not much of a reviewer but I had to in this case. Starting with the receptionist, they were amazing very nice and professional while not making the office feel like an assembly line. They also went out of there way to book me earlier when I brought up the pain I was having in my teeth that were scheduled to be removed. The nurses, dentist and assistants were all amazing I apologize for forgetting names but every thing was explained and done smoothly start to finish. I can't express how thankful I am to be rid of the pain and I hope I didn't say anything bad while under anesthetic. Thank you and keep up the amazing work
I had all four wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Chemaly less than a week ago. I was very nervous going in, but the team did a great job calming my nerves. Very friendly and professional.
For the actual extraction, I have no memory. They started an IV and next thing I knew I was being sat up and it was done.
They provided clear and detailed aftercare details to my wife and I, and included a detailed brochure with instructions to refer to. Pain has been generally minor and very manageable.
If I had more wisdom teeth I would not hesitate to have Dr. Chemaly remove them.
I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed and it went so quick and smooth. This dental clinic is very clean, professional and has excellent covid rules in place. They always answer their phones and their receptionist are extremely helpful and kind. Everyone here is absolutely lovely and i'm very happy with the service I received. Thanks again you again!
Recently I changed dentists because I've moved into a new neighbourhood and let me tell you.this place is amazing. First of all I love the amount of female staff there are its amazing. Love a strong female force. Secondly, the care and quality of the reception, dental assistants/techs and Dr. Chemaly were all amazing. Very happy!
Had a procedure and it went well, went to sleep, woke up and it was done. Professional team and Dr Clemaly was great. Had a very honest consultstion prior to surgery. Only bad things is the lack of parking:)
I highly recommend Dr. Chemaly. She and her entire team were efficient, friendly and very helpful - during the consultation process, the day of the surgery and post-surgery. Thank you to everyone involved in our child's surgery.
I would like to thank Dr. Chemaly and her team. My son did a frenectomy procedure. Everything went very well. And also the good care Dr. Chemaly and her team had during and after the procedure. Thank you!
The single most important aspect of good bedside manner is taking the time to listen to your patient. Dr. Chemaly.falls very short here, She can be rather cold and aloof.not listening or properly answering or addressing your concerns ;prior to surgery, Basically one foot out the door.type of rush attitude. She should be more aware that a poor bedside manner does affect a patient’s emotional disposition; and heightens any anxiety that they may have. For being a surgeon along with the prices they charge, you would expect far better
My overall experience was first rate. I was nervous about having the surgery done as it was quite invasive, but my recovery was excellent. I would highly recommend Dr. Chemaly for performing the surgery. She did a brilliant job. She was extremely kind and her staff were excellent as well. Mary Hurley
My husband had a wisdom tooth taken out by Dr. Chemaly and did not feel a thing. The facility is clean and everyone is very pleasant. The care given was exceptional.
Dr. Chemaly performed surgery on my husband; the procedure went very smoothly, no pain or bleeding after.staff care was excellent, detailed instructions and offer to call the doctor any time of day and night if any problem after surgery. Excellent surgeon, excellent staff and no complications at all; my husband didn't take any pain killer and start eating normally after two days. I would recommend to anyone and even planning to take my daughter there to remove all her wisdom teeth
Horrible place to go. Horrible service and experience. They’ll push you to get a consultation and only see you for 3 1/2 minutes and then charge you 80 bucks for it. Don’t waste your time. Literally a money grab
I would never recommend this place. I was referred here by my dentist because I wanted a wisdom tooth Specialist in Etobicoke- worst mistake. They notify me that my consultation will be from $80-150 and I said no problem- assuming I was just coming in for a quick visit to book my wisdom tooth surgery. I go in and the Dentist sees me and she asks me why i was there and I said my wisdom teeth need to be removed so she said ok let me check it. Starts checking me and said the pain I have is actually a muscle pain and that i need to do this exercise with my mouth 60 times in the morning, 60 in the afternoon and 60 at night. Said i need to try to not have my teeth touch but didn’t give me a mouth guard said for me to do the exercises for a week and go back.so i go to pay for the consultation and was told its $300.00 because the consultation was not for my wisdom teeth. I was extremely upset because 1 I was not aware there was a fee change and second the dentist was checking my wisdom teeth and then changed it. After telling her i dont have that type of money she immediately said ok $160.00- so basically they were overcharging me in the first place. I will never come to this place again. They are a scam and just want to take whatever money they can.
