Dr. David C. Hacker

Dr. David Hacker is an excellent doctor. I was called within five minutes of checking in. He listened to my issue patiently, went through my medical history, gave me a thorough examination and performed a minor procedure all within 10 minutes. I found him very professional, knowledgeable and punctual. He has a busy practice and doesn't waste time unnecessarily. Ontario needs more doctors like him.

Absolute waste of time. All three trips I had my time wasted. Only spoke with the dr for 5 mins. Once I had an appointment booked and showed up, just to have them tell me my results weren’t even in. There’s no point in making an appointment as the doctor will be at least an hour behind

I am very impressed with DR HACKER knowledge and empathy.
Took all the time to listen and explain the health issue i have. Explain in detailed simple way that you can understand and order all the tests required immediatly

Not a very good experience going through this doctor for my ENT problem. I will try and not write anything harsh respecting the medical field, but telling your patient if he performed surgery on the issue it can live him/her paralysed, or some other issues, it felt like thank god he is not a Heart surgeon, as that’s risky too and requires a lot of surgeries throughout the day! Let alone the arrogance in the normal conversation, Upon asking about little explanation about what this issue is, he kept repeating the medical term as in we are all experts in the field and we will just get what that term means. Being knowledgeable in a field is a different thing and how you talk with patients as a doctor is different!
If any options available, I would strongly suggest try that.

Won't even bother to listen properly, visited multiple times, no root cause diagnosed or any positive results. High headed arrogance.

I dont think hes qualified. I've been dealing with ear problems on and off for over 20 years. Tells me I need to see a chiropractor for a ear infection that caused sweeling all over my left side, pain in jaw and dizziness. When I said I had a grout inserted in the eardrum, looked at me like he's hearing the word for the first time. Jeesus Christ!

After more then 2 hours waiting I got 1 minute conversation with doctor. No review of medical history, current medication. He couldn't see my swollen throat thru my nose and told me that nothing wrong, it's ok to feel like that. Don't waist you time going there

I was very hesitant about my trip to this clinic after reading many of the reviews.but I gave the good doctor the benefit of the doubt. I don't care much about bedside manner, as long as they are good at what they do. There was a bit of a wait at the clinic (around 45 mins) but apparently a bunch of staff were on holidays and things were busy. No biggie. The receptionists were lovely and Dr. Hacker was very welcoming and efficient. He checked out my issue, gave me options for treatment and I was on my way. He didn't have much time for small talk and it was a very quick visit, but I had a good experience overall. I'm not discounting some of the other reviews, but some were a bit harsh.

Honestly with the bad reviews I was expecting worse but he was nice and we had a good chat. The tech who did my hearing tests, and the front desk ladies were nice too. Just come expecting to wait at least an hour.

I have called over 75 times and still cannot get someone on the phone and you cannot leave measages. Can someone help please.

They never answer their phones or even reply to their voicemails. Waste of time trying to contact them go somewhere else

Waiting time at the office is more than literally 3 hours but the time he will spend to see you is less than 5 minutes, doesn’t listen to what problem you have, he will give you a medication to use it for life for a temporary relief. It says clearly on the medication the risk of using it for long period.he just wants to get rid of his patients to be able to see the next patient. Waste of time seeing him.

Simply put.he has no idea what he is doing or saying.very indecisive.he will send you for the same tests over and over again.don't waste your time.

Dr. Hacker was so professional and capable. He gave me the nose I'd always wanted it to be and fixed the issue without changing who I am. I was lucky to be referred to him and felt in good hands throughout the entire process. I could not be happier or recommend him more. William Osler Etobicoke General was also amazing in their care and ensuring I was supported from start to finish. Thank you so much!

He was supposed to fix my deviated septum, instead he messed up my nostril & made my nose crooked. Please put in more money for a better doctor.

I am disappointed with many irresponsible comments here; 1 - 2 hours wait in a specialist's office is perfectly normal all over the world for the past 50 years, trust me. Accusing of being greedy and profits? You've got it all wrong; it's not the money. Drs are frustrated too; they have to clear huge backlogs from the Covid-19 Pandemic.
Recently, I have been through the hoops with my son who had a major surgery. I have seen his surgeon com in the hospital at 6: 30 AM, standing in surgery room all day long and eating junk food at 7 PM at the food court.
There is no need to see the Dr or chase their office after a biopsy; it takes time in the labs. They WILL contact you back for sure when the results have come in.
Come with BRIEF written & sensible questions. Why don't you think this way that other patients need to be attended as well and think about them.
All are under tremendous pressure.

I did a septorhinoplasty with Dr. Hacker back in late 2020 and had a very positive experience. There was a bit of a wait to see him, but it's a small office and this was during the worst of COVID. During our consultation I found him to be honest and informative. He didn't set unrealistic expectations and was clear about the limitations of cosmetic surgery: there is always a risk, everyone's anatomy is different and there is no way to predict how exactly one is going to heal.
My procedure went smoothly, and I am still absolutely in love with my new nose. I have no regrets about my procedure. I am giving four stars rather than five because no one followed up with me after my procedure. This isn't great, but again this was during COVID, so I understand how this may have affected things.

To anyone reading and seeing all of the negative/angry reviews, I want to stress that surgeons who perform cosmetic procedures are up to a pretty impossible task. There is not one surgeon alive who can guarantee specific results. Bodies are weird, scar tissue happens, and a skilled surgeon can mitigate the odds of undesirable outcomes but they're not omnipotent.

Do not go here! This doctor is AWFUL and a waste of time. You wait 1.5+ hours in a busy waiting room just to get to talk to him for 30 seconds. You are told the problem you went for doesn’t exist and he doesn’t listen to your concerns and cuts you off when speaking. Also, you can never reach the office nobody ever picks up the phone. Horrible horrible office all together.

Honestly, it's no wonder patients have no clue into their own health conditions when doctors want to spend 3mins to tell a patient that, "they have a condition with no cure and just learn to live with it (i.e. Tinnitus) " and expect patients be on their merry way. Sure, its not life threatening but it still alters a person's functioning (i.e. Sleep, mental state). When asked with questions, a "I have 15 years of experience, this is my specialty and if you don't to trust me then you can ask for a second opinion" is returned. No one is questioning your expertise but you have provided the patient with NOOOOO patient education!

Luckily I am a healthcare provider and so after leaving Dr. Hacker's office of appaling bedside manners I took the time to explain to the patient (i.e. My dad) what this condition is, why he is experiencing what he is, and why treatment is not an option but possible ideas for relief. Yes, he was still disappointed but at least there is an awareness as to what is going on. After waiting 1.5hrs its the least healthcare professionals can do to show consideration for their patients concerns and time too. As he said, he is the expert so I thought maybe having his input would contirbute more to the education i already provided to my dad.what a joke! So ashamed of the level of care our systems turned too. Overbooking schedule to make a dime.pft.

Dr. Hacker is very knowledgeable and skillful with how he handled my ear related procedure. I had a hearing loss issue with some pain for many months and today he has fixed things like a pro.

RE his office, yes phones get you nowhere but in the recording they provide the email contact info which they responded me same day with booking. I suggest to try this approach.

Only broke a star for the long wait times both for the appointment and procedure but really. Is it him or the Canadian health care issues in general leading to this?

He solved my problem, waiting time is horrible, 2 hrs before seeing him for 30 secs, he listened but as you expect.
