Dr David Gerber

Dr. Gerber performed a hysteroscopy on me today, and it was incredibly easy. I am very prone to pain, and I did not feel a thing. I am forever grateful for his help during my TTC journey.

He’s a great doctor, I’ve been his patient for almost 7 years. He doesn’t dismiss you or try to rush you, which is why the wait times are longer. He’s always listened to me and my concerns, always explained what is going on, how serious a condition is, what the best treatment is and why he recommends it.

Dr. Gerber and his staff were extremely caring and patient. He took time to address all my concerns and I did not feel rushed during my appointment. I walked out of his office knowing I’m in good hands.

He was arrogant and inappropiate. I even didn't know about his lawsuits before the appointment. I felt so bad and disrespected that I looked him up after the appointment and found the cbc report. I am pretty sure there are at least some truth to them from what I exprienced.

This doctor has been suspended by the College of Physicians. The CBC was conducting an investigation of him.

A gynecologist at the centre of a years-long CBC investigation had his medical licence suspended for four months following a regulatory hearing in early March.

Dr. David Gerber, of Meridia Medical in midtown Toronto, pleaded no contest to allegations from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) that he engaged in disgraceful, dishonourable or unprofessional conduct in his care and treatment of 10 patients over the course of more than a decade.

Not responsible for their patients. They keep cancelling and rescheduling my appointment while I'm in an emergency situation. It's been a year that I'm waiting and wasn't able to see a doctor! Which is ridiculous.

I have been seeing Dr Gerber for several years now. In my experience, he has been one of the most kind, caring and professional doctors I have ever encountered. He actually remembers exactly who I am every time I come and actually asks how I am - which is a lot these days when seeing a physician! I have had several tests done with him, which have always been explained perfectly and done with a nurse present and I have never felt uncomfortable. I highly recommend Dr Gerber and am so happy I was connected with him!

My experience: I previously had an IUD inserted by a different clinic and it was traumatic. Cosmic levels of pain that made me reevaluate my perspective on death. Just another classic IUD horror story. Dr. Gerber assured me that when he does it, it will not hurt and that it will be NOTHING like my previous experience. Then came time for the procedure and he was right. He performed it quickly and kept me distracted. I will admit I was extremely scared, but I trusted him and it paid off because it didn't hurt. There was slight discomfort on par with light period cramps but of course that paled in comparison to my first horrible experience.
Dr. Gerber was kind, empathetic and very funny. I recommend anyone who has had a previous traumatic IUD insertion to go to him if you want another IUD.

Staff: The staff were friendly, patient and kind. They clearly work very hard and have lots of empathy. They let me lay down in another room and made me tea after my procedure! I never felt rushed in anyway.

Punctuality: They are true to their word when they say you may have to wait 15 minutes to 2 full hours. It's just the nature of their clinic but they are honest about it and have it written in emails, on their site and say it over the phone.

I'm doubling down on my recommendation to anyone who wants to get an IUD - get your IUD from Dr. Gerber.

I have been a patient of Dr Gerber since 2011 and have been followed regularly by him until 2022 when he referred me back to my family doctor as I no longer needed his specialized care. During my time with Dr Gerber, he was always professional and knowledgeable. He always took the time to ask about my well being and made me feel completely comfortable in his care.

I’m patient of dr Gerber for one year and recently I got IUD in his clinic. I chose to get it there because he is so professional and friendly with patients.getting IUD was so easy and comfortable with him and I’m happy to select his clinic.

Dr. Gerber and his staff are amazing. They do everything to make you feel as comfortable as possible. I had an IUD insertion and the experience was awesome, all I felt was a mild cramp (and I've felt worse cramps during a period). I highly recommend getting an IUD here!

I have been going to Dr Gerber for a couple of years. I can't say enough about how fabulous he is! So professional! So knowledgeable! Always makes me feel so comfortable! I had a D+C done and it went so smoothly! He talked me through it and before I knew it it was over. He also fits me in with his busy schedule along with the front desk and nurses who take great care of his patients.

Despite the fact that you have an appointment, you will wait 1-3 hours. No respect for your time whatsoever. Last time I waited 3 hours. No exaggeration.

BUT I have to say that Dr. Gerber is a great professional and a very nice person. I just wish the clinic itself was more organized.

Dr. Gerber has been my gynecologist for 15 years. He's very professional, caring, and efficient. Waiting time could be a bit longer than expected, but it just goes to indicate that he won't be rushing you out of the room.

Today I underwent my 3rd IUD insertion performed by Dr. David Gerber. Every time the procedure has been quick with minimal discomfort. I was surprised it was over so fast today! The best part about Dr. Gerber’s clinic is that he has an ultrasound machine and can check the IUD placement right away. Thank you again Dr. Gerber for a painless and quick procedure. As always Dr. Gerber is professional and kind. Best gynaecologist! Highly recommend Dr. Gerber.

Waiting time is unreasonably long, minimum wait time for your “appointment “ is 1.5 hours. When they tell you, delay for 30 mins, that’s 3 hours wait time.

I have been seeing Dr. Gerber for many years now. Most recently he performed a colposcopy as well as removed some lesions. During the procedure he was making sure I was comfortable and not feeling any pain as he described the process and what he was doing. Being the type of doctor that he is you can feel uncomfortable in that position but I find his soft spoken manner to be very calming and that he and his staff are very warm and compassionate to my situation.

Dr. Gerber has been my doctor for over 10 years now.from day one he has always been extremely professional, knowledgeable, patient and kind. Due to my health I go in every 6 months for checkups (this includes transvaginal ultrasounds) all with no discomfort. When I needed a specialists the referral was done in no time (even during the pandemic). Over the years the office has provided me with phone support when needed (front desk staff and nurses are always experienced and pleasant). Dr. Gerber has also made me feel extremely comfortable during each visit, he explains every step detail to detail. Dr. Gerber also shows empathy and understanding, as I've had unfortunate complications along the years, and Dr. Gerber had given me the support I dearly needed. Dr. Gerber is one of my favourite doctors. 100% would highly recommend.

I had my second appointment with Dr. Gerber today. I had to do another ultrasound as well as a cervical swab. He has a great manner that helped to put me at ease, making the invasive tests both quick and painless. He also has a very knowledgeable and friendly team with him. I definitely recommend this clinic. Just be prepared to wait for a little while:)

I was quite nervous about my appointment but Dr. Gerber made me feel very comfortable during the whole procedure. He was very kind & helpful and even went out of his way to to give me information on breast cancer screenings + genetic testing after I told him I had lost my mom from the disease. Great doctor! I recently went in for an IUD replacement. I was nervous walking in as my first IUD insertion (with a different doctor) was very painful. Both the nurse and Dr. Gerber walked me through the process, which put me at ease. Dr. Gerber used local anesthetic and talked to me to help me get distracted. The process was very quick and I didn't feel the extraction or insertion. Once the procedure was done I was offered tea in their recovery room.

I have been Dr. Gerber’s patient for more than 10 years and I couldn’t wish for a better doctor. He is very knowledgeable, caring, approachable, respectful and friendly. His staff is very kind and efficient and his clinic well equipped, clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend Dr. Gerber as an excellent gynaecologist.

Wonderful doctor and staff. I was pretty anxious about my IUD insertion after hearing a few horror stories. Dr. Gerber was an absolute professional and so considerate. The actual insertion could not have gone better - he used a local anesthetic and had me take Tylenol before. I can’t imagine it gets more painless than this for IUD insertion. Thank you!

I have seen other gynecologists throughout the past fifteen years, when Dr. Gerber wasn't available; but I keep returning to Dr. Gerber no matter how far I've moved because I am most comfortable with his treatment, demeanor, and even his advanced facilities. The clinic is very tranquil and clean, and their private rooms are well equipped with advanced technology.

The wait times to get an appointment with him is long, but it is worth it. I highly recommend him if you care about your reproductive health.

I have been a patient of Dr. Gerber for almost 18 years, and I am extremely happy, satisfied and relieved that he is my doctor! He has been a skilled and caring professional, explaining the many procedures and tests that needed to be performed over the years, following up on his time when warranted! His staff have always been helpful and respectful, kind and caring after procedures. Only once in all of those years, possibly 25 appointments, I was asked to wait due to a surgical emergency! I have seen several gynaecologist in my lifetime, but I only trust Dr. Gerber now, for his specialized, skilled, painfree, informative approach. So thankful he is my doctor!

I have been a patient of Dr. Gerber for a few years and  one of the reasons I keep going back to him is because of his friendly demeanor, professionalism and his expertise.

From day one I did not feel like a number, he has an excellent bedside manner, he always greets you with a smile, and asks how are you doing today?   He takes the time to explain what he is going to do before he proceeds with his examination. He makes you feel comfortable and at ease so that you can ask him anything regarding your concerns or treatment.

I would highly recommend Dr. Gerber,   my experience as a patient of his has been positive.   I should also mention that his nurses have also been great, they are friendly and make you feel comfortable as well.

The Doctor still lives in 1984. If he doesn't find the problem, he shamelessly jumps to conclusion saying "it's in your head". I'm in pain, but it's in my head? It's 2022, this type of behavior should not exist anymore. Incompetent.

The worst experience in my life. Booked an appointment at 9AM didn’t get to meet the doctor till almost 12PM.
I was super nervous during the examination and the doctor did not tell me what he is going to do and asked me why are you nervous like I was being unreasonable. I use to live in UK and some medical terms were used differently, I was trying to understand what exams I need and asked few more questions. The doctor said: “I don’t have any more time for you, you make me so confused, you can ask our nurse for more info. ”
After the examination, they refused to email me my result cuz I’m Asian, said things like maybe your country will go through your email. About few month later I phoned in advance and then went in person to collect my result, still refused to give it to me said the policy changed and now they can only email it to me.
3months later today, still don’t have my result and the clinic seems closed.
Contacted the clinic and the doctor who referred me to David Gerber, they didn’t receive any result as well. THE WOREST
If I could I would like to sue them.

I was a patient of Dr. Gerber for many years. I had a great experience being one of his patients: he was highly professional, extremely knowledgeable, he always explained procedures and next steps very thoroughly. I highly recommend Dr. Gerber for anyone who is looking for a great gynaecologist.

I've been referred to Dr Gerber 3 times (2017,2018, and 2022) and always received above expectations care from him. I clearly remember the kind words the doctor told me when I broke down in tears at his office in 2018 when he was treating me for a lost pregnancy. It helped me heal psychologically from that trauma. Also, most recently he performed my last pap test and I was surprised I didn't feel any pain from this procedure (as was the case every time I did it before with other providers). I've seen some people complaining he's never on time, but in my opinion that's not a big issue. Whenever I go to a doctor appointment, I know it's gonna take way more time than expected.

Dr. Gerber to me is a magical healer, he changed my life with the procedure I had with him and my life changed drastically, his calm attitude his professional diagnosis is unique, usually women dread to go to their appointments but with Dr. Gerber you just know that he is going to just make life better. Thank you for being the best doctor I have ever known

I had what felt like the world’s longest period. My boyfriend panicked. I told my mom and she panicked. I just kept thinking it would end eventually but it didn’t. I finally went to see Dr. Gerber and he examined me, calmed me down and put me on a different birth control. I’ve been fine ever since!

Dr. Gerber was super caring, compassionate and kind. He went above and beyond just treating the condition I was there for. He saw me as a person and took time out of his busy day to provide counsel, reassurance and positivity.

He and his nurse (Megan?) were both super professional in explaining all the details of the procedure, making sure I understood what the ultrasound showed as well as treatment options to consider with my doctor. In addition to their professionalism, they were super sweet and sung "happy birthday" to me to celebrate my day.

This was more than a medical interaction, it allowed me to feel human during a tough time. As a fellow health care provider Dr. Gerber is an inspiration to me. Thank you to you and your team today.

I have only been twice, after a referral from my best friend: once for a pap smear and then again after cells came back abnormal. Everything ultimately checked out. Dr. Gerber was courteous, efficient, and professional. I will continue to choose this office for my gynecology needs.

It took a little time to get in to see Dr. Gerber, but I am so grateful I walked into his office. I had irregular and uncomfortable periods my entire life and after visiting a handful of gynecologists over the years, Dr. Gerber was the only one that was able to figure out what was going on and provide some relief. There was a little lag time from when I walked into the waiting room and when I got to see him, but I interpret that as him being thorough with all of his patients, like he was with me.

Dr. Gerber and his team were great! I needed to get a minor surgery and was quite nervous about it, but Dr Gerber went through all the details of the procedure, explained it step by step, and answered all my questions regarding the procedure. He was nice and was worried about my health yet he booked me in for a follow up after 6 months to check my Fibroid (was 8.5 and now is 9!).
I even paid a lot of money for a nutritionist to help me with a diet and I lost weight but the fibroid is growing.what else I can do?

He said he won't operate now and only if I need to have a baby. I'm not sure how living with a pain and not being able to sleep over the night is a normal thing nowadays. The new Doctor said if he didn't know it's a fibroid, he'd say I'm a 16-18 weeks pregnant lady.

If I want to operate it means I decided to operate. I'm not even 30 and I want to have a normal life.

Dr. Gerber is probably the best OBGYN physician that exists. He is kind, caring, funny, compassionate, respectful, professional and understanding. I have had similar tests and procedures in the past but no physician has been able to care and preform them in the gentle way Dr. Gerber does.

My fertility clinic referred me to Dr. Gerber for a polyp removal. I was incredibly impressed with how quick I was able to get in to see him. During the initial consultation the nurses walked me through everything expected pre-procedure, for the procedure, and post procedure. I met with Dr. Gerber and found it very easy to speak with him and would rate his bedside manner 10/10. There was a bit of a wait while I was in the consultation room, and the day of the procedure I waited for a while as well. Just ensure you carve enough time out of your day when visiting and keep in mind that he’s high in demand.
The day of the procedure was very smooth. The hysteroscopy itself is a rather invasive procedure but Dr. Gerber talked me through what he was doing and the nurses ensured I felt zero pain. Very little downtime for recovery. I’ve had other procedures done but was put out for them completely and was shocked to feel bruised for the days following. This was NOT the case with Dr. Gerber.
I’m elated to finally have this thing removed and be able to move on with my fertility journey. I would 100% go back, if needed.

Been a patient of Dr Gerber for many years. Initially started seeing him regarding a specific issue which at the time was very scary. With all the procedures done over this time I have always felt I was in the best care. He always informed me of what was about to happen and what to expect. I always felt comfortable asking anything about procedures and after care.

I had Bartholin's cyst and my family doctor referred me to Dr. Gerber. He explained what caused it and treatment options to me thoroughly and suggested me to do the Bartholin's cyst procedure. The procedure went super smoothly (I was nervous about it but everything went better than I expected) and I almost had zero down time. I love the result at it's such a relief not to have to deal with it anymore. I wouldn't hesitate to see him again for any other matter.

I cannot thank Dr Gerber and his team enough for providing in-person care during the pandemic. It was such a relief to be seen and treated by a friendly and knowledgeable doctor.

So happy to have been referred to Dr. Gerber! Dr. Gerber performed 2 colposcopies for abnormal PAP test for me, one in 2020 and another on May 12,2021. During both procedures, he was very gentle and i have not experienced any discomfort or pain. He is very professional and knowledgeable, always on time. Wow. My experience with Dr. Gerber was amazing. To give some context - I had my first iud inserted five years ago. It was a horrible experience and I was dreading seeing Dr. Gerber today. When I came in this morning, the reception staff were very pleasant and welcoming. I was seen pretty quickly by Jennifer RN - she went through what to expect. I was told that they do not do the procedure on the same day as the consult. They were flexible and did both on the same day. I was very thankful for this. The procedure took 3 minutes. I kid you not! I was amazed. I have a very low pain tolerance and I did not feel a thing. Dr. Gerber was great. He made jokes that made me less anxious and at ease. He is a freaking magician! He completed the procedure with a high level of skill. Thank you Meridia Medical. I came in extremely anxious and left relaxed. To anyone dreading an iud insertion or replacement- come here! You will not regret it. Did I mention that I was offered a cup of tea, after the procedure?

The medical exams that I receive from Meridia is excellent. Dr. David Gerber and his medical nurse, Jennifer are friendly and ensure that I am properly informed about my health. Not only has he taken great care of my health, but also he is lovely to speak with at every appointment. I would have no qualms in recommending them to my friends.

Dr. Gerber is the top 3 gynaecologist in Toronto for a reason! I’ve been working for Dr. Gerber for a while now (currently on Mat-Leave) and I hear nothing but good from his patients. Patients are willing to wait MONTHS to see him!

The women who made her complaint public is just fishing for attention and money, I wish I could say more without sounding petty - if her experience was so “traumatic” why did she make ANOTHER appointment to see him again?

When I got my IUD in five years ago, it was a horrible experience. Truly, I hated it and from that moment on I dreaded getting it replaced. That day came today, and my family doctor had recommended I see Dr. Gerber because of my anxiety and I guess awkward cervix situation. Well, I came in a bundle of nerves and left practically joyful (ok ok, I'm a bit sore, but I feel much better than I thought I would). My nurse-I want to say Jennifer? Completely forgot the lovely woman's name I was so freaked-and Dr. Gerber were wonderful in calming me down and distracting me and helping me through the experience and while it wasn't the most fun I've ever had, I don't dread the next one anymore. And trust me, I am a complete wuss about these things (as evidenced by my level of freaking out). Compared to my last experience, this was a walk in the park. Thank you!

(Also, if you're wondering, they are very good about COVID prevention here and I felt very safe the whole time I was there.)

I've seen several gynaecologists over the years, but Dr. Gerber is by far the best. He is thorough and compassionate. He answered all my questions and because of his expertise, my uterine cancer was caught extremely early. I've never had a male gynaecologist before, and my initial nervousness was addressed by his nurses and by him. He listened to everything I told him, talked me through every procedure, and was very professional. I have nothing but good things to say about this doctor. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Garber had backed away from the table.and I said "That's it? ! ". He laughed and said, "Yes, all done. ".
I think like everyone else, I don't look forward to these appointments. Dr. Garber is chatty and likes to create small talk. My nerves were on edge with the proceedure that I was having done.but he talked to me the whole way through and then.suddenly.it was all over! I didn't even think he had started lol.

Dr. Gerber has been my gyno for 10 years and is absolutely the best, kindest most trustworthy Doctor I have ever had. He literally saved my life by keeping a close eye on my irregular cells. He also removed a cyst in cervix, which I was semi awake for but with his staff (one holding my hand because I am weakling to pain) and one administering meds, he couched me through my whole procedure as well and came every 10 min to check on me in the recovery area. I had also suffered some mental health issues in the past and on a personal level he asks me every visit how I am doing, shakes my hand and tells me to keep going strong. He often asks for surveys on how well he and the clinic are doing. If I could give 100 stars I would. I told his office the only thing they are missing is puppies in the waiting room. Dr. Gerber is one of the most outstanding, kind generous, caring doctors and if he ever retires the health of females in Ontario is at a great loss.

Dr. Gerber is absolutely wonderful, as is his entire team. I’ve seen Dr. Gerber 3 or 4 times now and he always puts me as ease and makes me feel confident that I’m getting the very best medical care. He is knowledgeable, thorough, and personable, and has always taken the time to explain to me the procedures I’ve needed. I can’t recommend Dr. Gerber highly enough.

I found Dr Gerber and his staff to be very professional and they explained everything thoroughly before my procedure. Honestly, not a day goes by that I do not think how glad I am Dr Gerber resolved my issue.

The doctor cancelled 2 appointments on me without any notice. The first time, I got to my afternoon appointment on time and was told it was rescheduled to that morning. I didn't receive any calls, voicemail or email. I saw him getting ready to leave and they weren't willing to accommodate regardless of it being a mistake on their end.

The second time, I received a call that they're 30 mins behind. As I was on my way, I called to let them know that I would be 5 mins behind due to construction. The receptionist said it was perfectly fine. When I was literally 5 mins away, I was told that it was too late and they had to cancel due to a meeting. I understand the stresses of the clinic, but I don't get why time wasn't allocate time for this.

They even tried to rebook me 6 months from now before this appointment. You cannot call a patient, as they are driving to you, to cancel their appointment. I had to book days off work for both appointments in which went to waste. It's unfortunate because Dr. Gerber is a good doctor, but the service is highly inconvenient, unreliable and inconsiderate.

He is to me the kindest, most caring, most professional & most gentle doctor I have ever interacted with/been a patient of in Toronto and he is one in a million in every category.
He is the only doctor besides my family doctor I never get anxious about seeing.
I'm so thankful that my Family Doctor referred me to him.

Dr. David Gerber is incredible at what he does. He is professional, kind and knowledgeable. I have been a patient for many years now and Dr. Gerber has been instrumental in a couple of very important areas of my life. My husband and I started our fertility journey with Dr. Gerber. He was able to diagnose us both and suggest next steps. He was very thoughtful throughout the entire process. Two beautiful & healthy children later I look back at what was a scary and uncertain time in our lives and having Dr. Gerber support and guide us along the way was beyond his call of duty.and this is why he is an amazing. Because above all else he is an incredible human being who cares about his patients! My mother and sister have become his patients as well. Dr. Gerber and his staff are friendly and always welcoming. There is absolutely no one better.

I was referred to Dr. Gerber from my fertility doctor because they had determined I had either an endometrial polyp or a fibroid that needed to be removed. I was referred and was seen by him very quickly, I did not have to wait very long to get into the clinic. I went in for a pre-op and he did a PAP and some testing and was very efficient and also determined I had more than just a polyp or a fibroid, but that I had both. I was scheduled in for the removal also very quickly. Jennifer the nurse was so helpful and very detailed in her instructions and both her and Dr. Gerber answered all of my many questions with no hesitation. They were GLAD for my questions and they never made me feel bad for asking them. The day of the removal everything went very smoothly and Dr. Gerber was able to get both the polyp and the fibroid in one surgery. My experience at this clinic was nothing but excellent. Everything was very smooth, I was given every detail of what was going to happen and how things were going to go. I was so relieved, and everything went as planned. Thank you Dr. Gerber and team for making my experience such a great one. Also COVID precautions were followed and I felt very safe the whole time I was there.

Dr. Gerber has been my doctor for that last 6 years. He is very knowledgeable, kind and straight-forward. He has always explained to me which procedure was being done and why it was being done. I really appreciated him taking the time to educate me about my current health conditions and advice on nutrition for a healthier lifestyle. He is straight forward with any questions or concerns I have had throughout the years and I appreciate his honesty. The staff at the office are very friendly and courteous. I would highly recommend Dr. Gerber.

I have been a patient of Dr. Gerber for almost 13 years. Initially, I was referred to him for a specific problem. He came highly recommended by my family doctor who sent his wife to Dr. Gerber also. Dr. Gerber diagnosed and performed a procedure on me. Needless to say, I was very anxious but Dr. Gerber explained everything to me to help put me at ease. Dr. Gerber has been following up on my care ever since. He has a great way of making you feel at ease and comfortable. He is very professional, compassionate and knowledgeable. He always explains things as procedures are happening. He does his best to keep you calm and assured. The office is lovely and the staff are great. I have the utmost confidence in Dr. Gerber. I highly recommend him.

I cannot rave enough about the service, treatment, culture, safety measures, and complete care, of the entire staff during my appointment with Dr. Gerber. In these tough times, as we are overwhelmed with stress and anxiety, patience and time in doctors' offices are a true luxury. Dr. Gerber and his staff took their time, offered comforting comments with a smile, and made every possible effort to make me feel comfortable, at ease, safe, instilling incredible confidence in their service.
In addition, something I would like to especially thank Dr. Gerber and his staff for, which I found rare in our social medical system, and more common to private health: I inquired if Dr. Gerber would accept my daughter as a new patient, after she received concerning Pap test results. Not only was the assistant happy to accept my daughter's referral, but she took the time to discuss my daughter's issue, offered their nurse to chat with my daughter to discuss diagnosis, and advised that if urgent they would prioritize seeing her. This relieved anxiety likely for weeks to come for both of us. All this before my daughter was even a patient.

Professional and personable, Dr. Gerber and his staff are very thorough and put you at ease during examinations. The in-clinic ultrasound is so convenient providing immediate results. After seeing two previous specialists, both whom recommended major surgery for my condition, Dr. Gerber was able suggest a procedure that was much less invasive and I did not require surgery. I am forever grateful.

I’m a new patient of Dr. Gerber and began seeing him in August 2020. My primary care physician highly recommended him and said I HAD to see him based on how good he is, so she referred me. My experiences have not disappointed. My first appointment was smooth and the best, easiest, and most thorough PAP I’ve ever had. His office followed up promptly when the results came in. I appreciated this efficiency and professionalism being a lawyer and teacher.

While there is sometimes a wait to see him, it is well worth it, and I don’t mind waiting. He and his staff care about their patients and take their time with them to hear their concerns and answer any and all questions.

I also saw him in October to replace an IUD, and the experience was amazing. I know this sounds odd to says about this type of procedure. However, when I was told it was all done, I was shocked. I didn’t feel the old IUD come out or the new one go in. It was a drastically different experience from the last time I had an IUD inserted. I was then offered tea and a place to recover until I felt up to leaving. Further, Dr. Gerber and his staff are warm and caring but still professional and straightforward. I greatly appreciate this, including Dr. Gerber’s recommendations with respect to which IUD would be best for me. I highly recommend Dr. Gerber and his office!

Dr. David Gerber is my doctor, was my mother-in-laws doctor and will continue to be our family's Gynecologist. I have been a patient since 2009 and recently visited during Covid-19. The care and efficiency that I was met with put me at ease from the start. The staff is very pleasant, the nurse was extremely thorough with the new protocol and answered all of my questions. I never felt rushed or as if I had to hurry up. When Dr. Gerber treated me he greated me with a soft tone and was very calming. I drive from Niagara on the Lake to Toronto and know that the care I receive is the best anyone could hope for. Plus the music is really good.

Dr Gerber is an amazing obstetrician-gynecologist. I had a serious fibroid problem which was causing severe bleeding and unbearable pain. When I met Dr. Gerber I was on the verge of anemia. After thorough examination including an ultrasound in his clinic, he suggested Hysteroscopic resection of the fibroid using conscious sedation. The operation went very well and here I am back to life again. I strongly recommend Dr. Gerber and his talented team.

First time as a patient of Dr Gerber. Anyone who does not give a 5 star is insane. Yes the waiting is a lil longer than perhaps other doctors, but Dr Gerber does it all! From pap smears to many other procedures and takes his time hence at times a longer wait. Who cares! As long as you are getting the best treatment! And for the front desk.reception.nurses.impeccable! I felt like I knew everyone for years. If I could give a 10 star I would. Thank you to all.

I have had PTSD and in the time leading up to my appointment, found that I was starting to have symptoms again, in particular with my body reacting to medical procedures. I hadn't ever been to Dr Gerber's office and was quite nervous to expose my body to another invasive procedure while I was feeling so vulnerable. I called his office and disclosed my PTSD. The nurses immediately demonstrated a knowledge and an appreciation for what this meant for me and spent time with me on two phone calls going over the procedure and making a support plan for me.

During my pre-op visit, both the nurse and Dr Gerber spent time learning about my PTSD reactions and explored what I know helps me during a procedure. They both listened intently and took time to let me know how they would meet my needs. Their intake form also had a disclaimer that demonstrated their commitment to respectful touch during procedures which I had never seen before. The office is beautiful, clean and comfortable and by the end of that visit I could feel my body calm down and felt ready for the procedure two days later.

They were consistent with their support the day of as well. The staff listened to my requests (not the be rushed, to sit up until the everything was ready to begin, the have a calm, supportive presence by my side, to be walked through what they would do and the sensation to expect before they took that step). They played music as well and changed it if it wasn't the type I liked.

Afterwards, they gave me tea and the recovery room and dim lighting and my wife was able to be with me. We were both treated with great respect during our experience.

The only thing I would change is that they tried to used conversation as a coping method to distract me but that style doesn't work for me. The doctor also made a lot of jokes in the first meeting to lighten my mood. It worked for me, but sometimes I need to know I'm being taken seriously first before rapport is built for jokes. However with everything else they did, it didn't matter that one or two things wasn't perfect.

I was really surprised to find that upon leaving that day, I wanted to say that I had an enjoyable experience with them. I really didn't think I would ever say that about a medical procedure, especially one when my PTSD was likely to be present. My experience has been that most medical staff do not demonstrate an appreciation for the experience of the person they are handling but the very opposite was true here.

We waited quite some time for our first appointment, like a lot of other people mentioned here but the receptionist let me know in advance that that was likely and did her best to call ahead if they were running late. I didn't mind as it meant that the doctor was taking the same time for someone else as he did with me.

I am so grateful to everyone in the clinic for meeting my need so well. Thank you!

I’ve been seeing Dr Gerber for about 10 years now, and is an excellent doctor who really takes the time to listen to my concerns big or small and ensure that all of my needs have been met. He is very friendly, professional, knowledgeable (funny too!) and really puts me at ease during my visits. The reception staff and nurses are always very pleasant, accommodating and very attentive. The atmosphere of the office is extremely clean, and comfortable. Overall I would say the best care from the moment you call for an appointment to the time you are heading home after the appointment! I highly recommend Dr. Gerber and his team of professionals!
