Dr. Joseph Korkis

I underwent my first rhinoplasty back in 2015, primarily for cosmetic reasons to address a hump on my nose. However, the additional changes suggested by the initial surgeon had unintended consequences, severely impacting my ability to breathe properly. After a year and a half, issues such as difficulty in physical activities, mouth breathing discomfort, and constant nasal congestion became evident. By 2021, I consulted with Dr. Korkis through my family doctor, who, during a free consultation, accurately identified the root problems. Although it took me two years to decide, I underwent surgery in September 2023. The difference was noticeable from the first day, and after the splints were removed, I could breathe properly for the first time in a long while. Throughout the healing process, my breathing continued to improve as swelling subsided. As I reflect on my journey, I express gratitude to Dr. Korkis for restoring my ability to breathe, a gift I wouldn't have received otherwise. Thank you, Dr. Korkis!

I am beyond disappointed. Long story short I broke my nose, could't breathe, and went to dr Korkis for a septoplasty and rhinoplasty, I had a surgery about a year ago, after waiting for a year.
Right afte I had my appointment he was removing everything and suddenly felt so much pain when he stongly pushed my nose after taking the bandage and cast, I realized my nose was still crocked, he told me it was just swollen from the surgery and it would take around 6 months to a year to fully recover, and here I am. Still unable to breathe, and my nose still crocked.
I paid over 10 k because he's supposed to be super experienced and leave no scar, but I feel like he did absolutely nothing.
It makes me feel incredibly insecure, I have cried and ranted beacuse I saved for a year to have this surgery.

Please do your due diligence, as there is a reason why there are only 1 STAR vs 5 STAR reviews, and those reasons are glaringly obvious once you do your research.

Dr. Korkis is a doctor I would highly advise you to avoid unless you like a doctor who lacks empathy, loses his cool when asked questions (as any good parent would) and has zero bedside manner. He is arrogant, abrasive, disrespectful, dismissive and rough with young patients who are visibly nervous.

After a highly traumatic experience (performed by Dr. Korkis in the Ambulatory Procedure Unit), it was all for nothing as the large Pyogenic Granuloma in my daughter’s nose came back 15 days later in the same spot! Why? Because he didn’t cauterize it!

Frustration, anger, sadness and devastation don’t even begin to cover her emotions.

She required a second surgery to remove the growth and adequately treat the surrounding area. It was done by an incredible team of skilled professionals (in Toronto, where they treated her with kindness, respect and empathy as any good Doctors should address their patients), as I refused to allow Dr. Korkis anywhere near my child again.

I was very nervous and concerned about my deviated nasal septum mean surgery at Joseph Brant hospital. After talking to the doctor the day before he assured me he’s done over 7000 surgeries, and there was nothing to be concerned about. The nurses at the day surgery and the anaesthesia were absolutely amazing. It was the best hospital experience I’ve ever had.
His office staff Stephanie was incredible, helpful and caring. I would highly recommend Dr Korkis.

I had a great experience with Dr Korkis and his staff. They are all very kind and very knowledgeable. My daughter had ear problems and a previous specialist had told me she was loosing her hearing. But Dr Korkis and his team took the time to examine her, diagnose the real problem, explain everything to us and give us the right treatment for her condition, and according to their tests, my daughter's hearing was perfect! Thank you Dr. Korkis and team for your help! It is greatly appreciated!

I wish it were possible to give this doctor not even one star. This is not about me, but my wife. This doctor is one of the most inconsiderate doctors I've come across. My wife has been waiting for deviated septum surgery for over two years. Unfortunately, my wife caught a cold during her scheduled surgery, and as a result, the procedure could not be performed. However, since then, the doctor has repeatedly postponed the surgery, citing various excuses, and her condition has worsened during this time. Unfortunately, this doctor has been indifferent to her plight. It seems that he prioritizes patients who spend more money on cosmetic surgery over those who need urgent medical attention. If you value your health, I strongly advise against visiting this doctor.
In conclusion, I would like to thank those who have the knowledge and ability how to report this negligence to the proper authorities, so that the doctor understands the value of people's lives.

Once he realized I wasn't going to get a Rhinoplasty but only a Septoplasty. He had absolutely no time for me. Apart from the surgery, I saw him three times in the last year for a total of 90 seconds.

Dr. Korkis changed my life and I am truly grateful. I sustained an injury to my nose a decade ago and as a result I had breathing complications, I thought that’s how I’d have to live forever. I was stressed about my quality of life and so I decided to contact Dr. Korkis’ office after doing some research about doctors in Halton region and I’m glad I did. From my initial phone call with Stephanie, the surgery and the recovery process, Dr. Korkis and his staff have been, and continue to be, professional, understanding, compassionate and helpful. I feel as if I have been given a new life and I am thankful to Dr. Korkis and his Team. The result is outstanding, I can breathe better, sleep better, eat better and I am genuinely happier because of my surgery. Thank you, Dr. Korkis, Stephanie, and the Team.

Totally unfriendly and unhelpful extremely rude office staff. They are rude and have no basic communication skills to deal with patients.i do t recommend this clinic. I wish I could give them 0 star.extremely disappointed.

I started seeing Joseph in late 2016 when I had ears and nose issues that got really bad to a point where my face was almost paralyzed. He was helpful at the beginning, I kept a tube in my ear for 2 years to help with the issue and relieve pain. Frequent check ups every 3 months for the next 3 years. Which basically did nothing I kept explaining to him every visit that I still experience those issues with excessive ear popping and nose blockage. He would prescribe me naval sprays that wouldn’t even work, every time I explained him that, he would prescribe me a stronger spray. I really needed better treatment for this and it’s been almost a year I haven’t seen him just because I know he’s of not help to me, and I’m still dealing with these issues till date and It’s super frustrating to a point where I needed to express it.

Ok so here it is as my opinion. Dr K. Looked at me and said that the problem is my weight! I should loose some pounds and my problem wouldn't exist! BUT the fact of the matter was I was referred to him by Dr H before I quit smoking and the problem existed before weight change. Dr K just assumed + (

I had a very great experience with Dr Korkis and his staff especially Stephanie! I went with a breathing issue in my nose and I went with some cosmetic features he recommended while I was there. I am so over the moon happy with the decision to have my nose repaired internally and externally as it has made my features look so much better and now I have the confidence to have photo done with the biggest smile ever. After surgery, Stephanie was amazing and helped talk to me through my after care with any questions or concerns I had. Thank you so much, this was a life changing experience.

Dr Kourkis. Please retrain or get rid of the current booking recptionist. She is rude and apparently hates her job. She is curt and abrupt, always in a rush and gives you the impression you are wasting her time if you ask her to repeat anything regarding the appointment.thanks

After a recent visit to Dr. K.he punctured my ear to the point I was bleeding.
Never ever go to this doctor again, unless you want a similar fate.

This doctor fixed my ear after I went months and months to my GP who just kept cleaning and giving me pills for my ear. Dr. K fixed the problem. In one visit. YES.

I went recently to get my ears cleaned, after today's visit I noticed blood coming out of my ear. During the procedure I told Dr. Korkis that it hurts and he wouldn't stop torturing me.

My experience with Doctor Korkis and his staff was an incredibly pleasant and positive one. I was overdue for a tonsillectomy, the delay being on my end. My ENT was on the verge of retirement which worried me as my issue with my tonsils was worsening. I was pleasantly surprised to receive an appointment with Doctor Korkis in short order. My initial appointment the staff were cordial and the wait time was brief. Doctor Korkis himself was thorough and efficient. On the day of my surgery he visited me prior to my surgery, answered any questions I had, and promised me I was in good hands. I felt at ease in the OR with him and the supporting Doctor and nurses. After the surgery he visited me to give me an overview of the surgery and demonstrated compassion towards me. During my recovery I experienced more pain than I mentally had prepared for to the point where I could not speak. I emailed the office expecting a response within two days (as it states on their site), I received a call no more than five minutes later from a member of his team. She spoke with my partner and told him that though Doctor Korkis was in surgery she would be sure to get a hold of him to have a prescription prepared for me. I was floored by the timeliness of their response. She also answered a few questions we had about my recovery.
I would recommend Doctor Korkis to anyone in need of an ENT.

Horrible doctor doesn't care doesn't listen to anything you have to say or show. Just in out next patient. If your referd to him for any reason I'd highly suggest finding someone els. Complete waste of time.
