The Dr is sick and off his game. Please return to the basics that got you here. Make good shawarma . Roll it properly! And don't forget the special ingredient. Love
I was treated with the worst customer service, the place is dirty and no sanitization. No gloves being used to prepare food. None of them had food safety handling skills. There is a guy I’ve never seen before. He has a very rude service. No customer service at all.
I've been here 6 times, so this review isn't based on one experience. First, the food is good, but it's inconsistent. Today I came, waiting 25mins to order because they were so slammed with UBER orders. I finally got to order and they rushed my food. The laffa is 3/4 the size when they're busy then if they have time to make it slow. They cut it in half if they're not busy, if they are, like today, they throw it in tin foil with half the fillings as normal. It's good food but DO NOT go here when they are busy, if you walk in and see them sweating, food all over the place, big line, come back another time.they do not operate well when busy. It's a totally different experience and food quality.
Unfriendly staff. Seemed like he would pick and choose which customers to be nice to. Initially saw this place on a tv show. Food was nothing like what the tv show had. Found out they have since changed ownership.
For F sake, I have no idea how this place got 4 stars. I have eaten shawarma all over Canada, Dr Kaffa is the WORST! it is either Canadian does not have sense of good food or the comments are fake.
I had diarrhea and vomiting after eating here.
Food came with pieces of aluminum foil, Too much gravy. Wrap not fully done. Fries with hair on it. Falafel balls tastes like they were cooked with last week oil. The manager there does not even smile, I had to ask for my fries and balls as he forgot to deliver but charge.
Simply the BEST The Flavors The Freshness The Amount of each Serving is Great . My only ever complaint is that there is always a line up, and if your at the end of the Cue then your Tastebuds are Salivating in Suspense of an Incredible Meal . Always Super Friendly Love this place
Seeing our order getting ready while bread is being made fresh, right in front of you, is part of the experience. The food is very tasty and the staff are great. Worth a repeat.
Fantastic! Fresh food and toppings, very kind and friendly staff, amazing Laffa wraps! Come hungry and skip your diet for the day, you'll thank me. We ordered 1 laffa wrap for each of us and we both could only eat half. Took the rest to go. This is the kind of place where you pay for 1 meal and get an amount enough to save half for dinner time. The shop is very clean and there are plenty of tables to sit 4 people at each with space in the restaurant to skip a table to be able to physically distance with other patrons. I'm very glad that I was recommended Dr Laffa's, and I am eager to go back again! I recommend the chicken schnitzel!
Had the chicken schnitzel plate which was battered in what seemed like falafel. Amazing the pita was the best I’ve ever had. They also threw in for free a challah bun with tomatoes and marinated and grilled aubergine (eggplant) which (and I’m a critic) was definitely in the top five eggplants I’ve ever tasted in all niches of restaurants I’ve had across Canada and the United States. Absolutely delicious; also worth a mention was the rice a nicely salted and perfectly cooked white basmati. I’ve been eyeballing this place for years and I’m glad to have finally tasted it. Wish I had went sooner. Look forward to the next thing I try at this restaurant.
In all honesty, this is the ABSOLUTE VERY BEST SWARMA JOINT IN ALL OF TORONTO HANDS DOWN THE VERY BEST THE VERY BEST THE VERY BEST THE VERY BEST THE VERY BEST THE VERY BEST
This place has delicious food especially their sabich! I’m a meat eater but will often get the sabich because it’s so good-highly recommend! I’ve had mixed experiences getting takeout and delivery, thus the 4 starts. My favorite (but not) experience was when I ordered online a shawarma plate and asked for extra pickles and opened op my order and I literally had a pile of chicken and a HUGE pile of pickles and that was it. So yeah I’d recommend being very specific in your online order or better yet go in to order pick up. As many have mentioned try to go when they aren’t crowded-you will have a much better experience then.
One other thing to add, their laffa bread is delicious! Even if you want something small just get the laffa and save the rest for leftovers (I usually make 2 meals out of each unless I’m starving, but it’s a challenge to finish one because it’s so much food!)
We are vegetarian, so we loves trying new places where there are vegetarian menus, options and selections to offer. We have been to so many places to try their falafel sandwiches. So far, Dr. Laffa's Falafel Laffa is still the best. Finger licking best! Forgot to mention, we discovered Dr. Laffa beginning of 2017.
Ordered on phone was told to go to store and pick up, got to store didn’t have any record of it. Completely unorganized and rude workers They will be my last choice from now on.
We enjoy hanging out. Yesterday we came to this superb place which we didn’t know before. We passed a delightful evening there with exceptional dishes and a nice stuff and a talented chef. We put this fine restaurant in our list and we shall no doubt visit again soon. We highly recommend.
Absolutely amazing food! My friends who went with me loved it too and were happy that I took them to this place for shawarma. Will certainly come here again and recommend them to others.
Went today, they put tape on the menu so you cannot see the prices. When I asked why the Sabich plate went up from $14.99 to $22.99 I was told simply that price went up today.sounds like one big lie. Paid $60 for a Sabish plate, Shawarma plate and 4 falafel. I waited 25min for this and restaurant was empty.
I used to go there all the time, will never go again and wouldn't be surprised if they end up going out of business. Such a rip off. I wonder if they changed management.
I celebrated my graduation last night in this fine place. I am glad to say that we had a terrific evening and the restaurant was evidently one of the reasons for that outstanding gathering. The waiters contributed in a sweet style, the cuisine was delicious and my guests were so overjoyed. We shall absolutely return for more celebrations. Thank you very much.
I like this place! They serve delicious meals, they have a nice menu, The cook in that spot is a real pro, I like a lot tasting all their dishes. The food is always tasty, the attitude towards the clients is efficient. I frequently visit this restaurant and I not even once was discontended. I recommend this place.
I come to this location at least once a month for a shawarma laffa sandwich. Today I was VERY disappointed and unsatisfied with the service and the result of the sandwich when I got home. I arrived at 11: 00AM as they were just opening knowing they close early on Friday. It seemed because they had just opened that the gentleman serving me was still half asleep. He asked if I would like my laffa spicy and I answered very and I get home and realize that there is no hot sauce. He asked if I wanted any sauce at the end and I had assumed that he had already put some hummus and tahini on but arrived home and the sandwich was dry and tasteless. So disappointed! Maybe the young man serving me was still half asleep or he just didn’t hear or understand what I wanted. I hope that the owner of this very successful restaurant takes this complaint very seriously. The service at the Lawrence location has declined since the owner only works in Thornhill now.
Highly disappointed, not at all as good as the Clarke location. The laffa dough was raw, even after they made us a second one it was raw too. Ended up throwing the whole meal away.the tabouli was pretty much an onion salad, barely had any parsley. The only good part was the hummus.
Great Mediterranean food. The Shawarma in Laffa is the best in town! Their laffa is always fresh and perfectly made. The Shawarma is cooked to perfection. The humus and other salads are wonderful. The servings are generous and the prices are reasonable. There is limited seating, and it can get very busy, but everything can be made for takeout.
I had a great at this spot. We liked the extraordinary environment and the menu. The staff members were super friendly. I am happy we finally decided to try this place.
Surely a spot worth visiting, the food is awesome and fresh, the rates are reasonable and it is consistently well organized here. Keep up the good work.
Food was good, don't get me wrong. However, it was poorly managed due to the fact that the staff were prioritizing Uber eats orders and the like. I was on line in person and had to wait way longer than necessary. The staff member running the order station ignored me for over five minutes fielding the mobile orders in front of me.
It's usually quite good. I think I went on an off day because the salads didn't look fresh and were mixed with other food, so I didn't choose all of the toppings. They seem to be pressured into giving free food to members of the community. I will give them another chance.
The place is superb and spacious, the meals was yummy and the rates were very fair.rapidly, productive service and very personal staff. Highly recommended.
We met with friends at this restaurant for dinner.my friend recommended this restaurant. Well, we were not disappointed. The staff members welcomed us with a smile and we had a great feeling. The meal was tasty. We had a great time and we will definitely return to this restaurant. We recommend this place to all.
No frills middle-eastern kosher food with awesome house made flat bread (the eponymous "Laffa"). Shawarma and falafel sandwiches delicious and generously sized (share them).
Hummous with fried eggplant will show you what you're missing with supermarket Hummous.
Some seats for eating in, closed on sabbath and Jewish holidays.
Second time here in the last month. We ordered the same thing as last time, which is a Shawarma plate, Shawarma in a pita, and Shawarma in a Laffa. Interestingly enough, the amount of Shawarma we got this time was half of what they gave us last time. Different person working the counter. Food tastes awesome still, just less of it this time.
Tiny protein portions. Whenever I go to these types of shawarma places they overload the sandwich with chicken or beef. They don't even have a proper garlic sauce to go with it. Garlic sauce is essential to any Shawarma. Never going here again, the only thing going for it is the laffa bread itself.
Not great at all. Laffa bread and chicken were Ok, but everything else was bad and old, especially the salad options, which were not extensive either. Cabbage missing, no lettuce and/or tomato whatsoever. Place was very very dirty as well.
Simply the best laffa meal I had in ages. They give you all the toppings you want and the portion sizes of the meat is way above and beyond what you get in other establishments. A+ review for them. Alex Noudelman
