I’ve gone here for a while but first time with Dr. Fernando. I really liked him. He was very kind and thorough. The additional staff is great as well — accommodating and helpful.

Dr Fernando and staff were very courteous. They took the time to listen to me in order serve me better and meet my needs.

All the staff are very friendly and helpful.

Dr. Fernando is thorough in his examination and listens carefully to any concerns I have to express. He is diligent in his attention to any issues that arise, both during my eye exam and if something arises from lenses I have made through his office. His office staff are also pleasant to deal with and helpful with any concerns that arise.

Dr Fernando is an excellent eye doctor. I have been his patient for many years. Although I moved away from the Durham Region area to Lindsay 6 years ago, I still visit his clinic to address my eyecare needs.

Excellent service! My glasses broke on Boxing Day, we called the day after, they were able to fit me in for an appt same day and even rushed my glasses and made them while I waited! Very impressed, everyone was lovely, from helping picking out frames, to the eye appt with dr Fernando, to rushing my lenses. They direct billed my insurance, the entire process was so easy from start to finish! I will be back, and would highly recommend!

Dr. Fernando's staff are friendly and helpful. They explain the eye tests so you know what's going to happen. Dr. Fernando explains the results of the tests in layman's terms. They do not try to up sell you on frames and are honest when you ask if the frames suit you which is refreshing. A very positive experience.

I've been going to Doctor Fernando for years now very knowledgeable. I needed some MTO forms filled out ASAP and Doctor Chan is very efficient and happy to help me.

The staff are very helpful and friendly. The doctors take the time to go over all the tests and discuss any concerns you may have.

Needed a copy of an exam from back in December 2020, gave me a copy at no charge! Other places aren't as nice!

I have been seeing Dr. Fernando for a long time and have nothing but good things to say about him and his team. I have always received excellent service as well as very competitive prices, for my glasses, which I do not purchase anywhere else. This is a great one stop shop for both prescription and sun glasses. Thank you Dr. Fernando and team as well as keep up the good service! Looking forward to receiving my new prescription glasses as well as my next check up.

I was looking for glass frames but with a specific color. Everyone else told me that it could not be made. This was not the case with Whitby Eye Care though. Thank you for making me blue glass eye frames!

Dr. Fernando provide excellent care. Unfortunately, the biggest downfall to this practice are some of the staff who assist at the front counter, who can be rude & condescending. Found a doctor with better staff.

I had put off getting glasses for probably far too long and only visited DR Fernando when I could no longer see my phone or computer screens without the aid of some grocery store readers.
The doctor set me up with a proper pair of computer glasses and I now realize how far gone my vision actually was and I can work and read without battling double vision, blurring and distorted vision!

I went in for my eye exam and was greeted very kindly by the 2 receptionists. First one did some eye tests. Then both receptionists helped me pick out 2 pairs of eye frames for after my appointment. Then Dr Fernando came and got me and did the rest of my eye tests. He is very kind and answered all my questions. All in all my appointment went very well with no stress. Thank you to Dr Fernando and his receptionists!

Shady business. Wrong people. Do not trust this doctor and the office is only after ripping you off. Most reviews must be paid and fake.

These doctors are amazing. All my years of coming here, it has always been a pleasant experience for me. They are very skillful at their work and know how to help! Great work!

Good doctor but be careful about the hidden fees. My suggestion is to be "transparent" and "honest" to your clients about your services and fees before they book their appointments. If your office wants to get extra money for exams, that's okay, but TRANSPARENCY is important to let people know in advance, not in the MIDDLE of the exam. This is unfair to your clients.
I didn't have a good experience at this location for the following reasons:
1. The $105 eye exam fee does not include all tests which are default at other locations (I'm wearing glasses for 12 years and I know what eye examination is). So $105 is your base price and in the "MIDDLE" of the exam, you get the option to pay $50 more for them to take a picture of your eye/cornea. But you’re already into it so you have to pay because it is a part of the complete eye examination. My husband visited a place in Ajax last week and for $135 everything was included. So make sure you ask in advance what is covered in the fee.

2. When I showed up, the secretary wasn't expecting me and she kept asking if I had made an appointment before, but finally, she found it in the system. Yaaaay

3. And you can’t say Mr.on your client’s receipt while your client is a SHE. This is disrespectful and shows a lack of care for your customers.

Went in today for an appointment that I had made 2 weeks prior.

When making the appointment I asked specifically if my insurance company could be billed directly. I was told yes, only to find out when I arrived for my appointment, that they only direct bill to certain insurance providers!

Perhaps mention that on the phone when specifically asked that question again to avoid someone missing a day of work for nothing.

We there for the first time because my daughter said she cant see well with her glasses in class. So i looked online and found this one. Wow. Just got the prescription changed and made a new one. She said tbis new one is better. She can see very well now.

Then the receptionist when I got there. So professional and helpful. Dr Peter Chan was amazing. A wonderful postive experience.
I even referred 3 other clients. Very modern and clean office.

The Clinic has modern equipments for a complete eye exam. My optometrist, Dr Fernando is very knowledgeable, courteous and takes the time to explain the eye exam results. I recommend this place.

Dr. Fernando is a great optometrist! He's on time, friendly, professional and helps me understand my eye exams and results. His office staff are also friendly and professional. I took my daughter when she was 6 years old for an eye exam and she was very comfortable with him and the office setting.

I have been going to Dr. Fernando (& associates) for many years. Staff are usually friendly and helpful, however on 2 recent visits, this has not been the case. One lady, in particular, has been rude and very impatient while my daughter tried nervously to put contacts in. Admittedly it did take her a long time but some of the remarks by this woman were unwarranted.
