I have been a patient since Dr. Pal and Associates first established themselves in Yorkville. Best glasses and contact fitting I've ever had. I have an very high prescription (~-14), so can be difficult to get optimal vision on the first attempt, but they just kept fitting and re-fitting until I had the best vision I could have. And they take your own opinion of how your eyesight is into account. Highly recommend!

This is a really terrific optometry clinic. The staff are thoroughly professional and friendly. The clinic is beautiful and located close to public transit in a great part of downtown Toronto. I had a pleasure to work with Dr. Blanc who did my eye exam and other testing. After my examination (Nov 5 2022) I'm still waiting to get my glasses (May 5th 2023)! There is a lot to complain about: after getting credit card info I've been told someone will call me.it took over 2 weeks and nobody ever called me! I finally decided to call first and scheduled the appointment to pick the frames (ridiculously expensive! My insurance paid over 2,2k for 2 pairs.) and I've been promised I will get the glasses in 2 weeks. It's been 3 weeks and still nothing! 6 months in total.if it is only because my insurance pays for it - shame on you! I will never recommend this "clinic" to anyone.

I am from Quebec and called in to inquire about IPL that was recommended for my eyes. The person on the phone kid you not spent 20 minutes on the phone answering all my questions knowing that I was not even a current patient. She was friendly and made me feel so comfortable with all my concerns. So nice to know they offer so many different options that are not available where I live.

Dr. Pal and her team were phenomenal with me. About 2 years ago now, I developed Keratoconus in my left eye, which rapidly deteriorated my eye sight so much so that it was like looking through a dirty glass. Once I had surgery to correct the issue, it wasn't clear sailing, the surgery itself only stops the condition from worsening. I was referred to Dr. Shalu Pal and her team to help create a scleral lens that would solve my seeing troubles. Dr. Pal dealt with me personally and the outcome was her basically restoring my vision to near perfect condition. I am completely grateful for Dr. Pal's and her teams work, without them I wouldn't be able to see. I would definitely recommend them to anyone, they were friendly and informative and really took their time to make my experience worth while.

I had been delaying getting new glasses for years then finally gave in and let Dr Pal's team take care of me. They suited me up with a hip pair of computer/reading glasses and fixed up my older distances glasses. My eyes are much happier. Thanks Dr Pal and team for great service!

We had a great experience recently with Dr. Blanc and her team at Dr. Pal's office. Our son is 6 years old and it was his first experience getting fitted for glasses. Everyone was super friendly and lovely with him - he was very comfortable. He managed to fall and scratch his new lenses within two weeks and gratefully, it was replaced at no cost. My whole family has been going to Dr. Blanc for some time now and I highly recommend working with her and the other associates. Truly really friendly staff.

Doctor Pal is extremely professional and always paying attention to her patients needs, her office is great, all her staff is just so friendly and helpful, I love that welcoming smile on their faces every time I cross the door. If you're coming here for the first time, one thing to note is that they don't bill your insurance directly, they bill you, and then you can claim it.

After moving downtown 10 years ago, I was looking for a new optometrist and my previous eye doctor recommended Dr. Pal. I have been a patient of her clinic ever since then, as she is fantastic: extremely professional, helpful and knowledgeable. Her team is equally great and are super friendly. I always recommend Dr. Pal to any friends or family looking for a great eye doctor, and my wife has also been a patient of hers for several years as a result.

On my husband’s recommendation, I began seeing Dr. Pal and was extremely happy with her expertise. Unfortunately I ended up getting multiple concussions and needed specialized help. I was so lucky and grateful to find Dr. Blanc who specializes in concussion vision therapy in the same office and is the best in the city! I’m getting great care and the staff is a pleasure to see every visit I make.

Dr. Dave helped me a lot with my mini scleral lenses. Specially when everyone in the province gave up and i was not able to get comfortable fit. She finished the process in just 2 weeks absolutely tremendous work and she was so explanatory. She walked me as a true friend on every step of the process. Dedicated staff helped me learn really quickly to put in and put off the lenses in fraction of seconds. The whole Team did a stupendous job to make me satisfied in every single thing from processing really complicated process in very easily. A printout of instructions with the lens package was outstanding idea to help new people. Dr dave is so energetic and friendly and explain you everything in really simple way that you will be expert in hours to take care of all your eye needs.

Dr. Shalu Pals office is quite literally the most luxurious optometry experience you can get. Upon walking into the cozy office, you are grated by friendly staff who are always in a good mood, laughing, and cracking jokes. You get seated in a leather couch as you wait (usually less than 5 minutes) for your specialist. The friendly staff (especially Stephanie and Liliana) will always offer you a wide selection of coffee's, tea and chocolate (so much chocolate). In fact, you'll often find yourself you'd double checking to make sure you're not in a Starbucks. You will then receive all sorts of high-tech exams that are unique to Dr. Shalu Pals office. You'll always leave the place knowing more about your eyes than ever before. Dr. Shalu Pal herself is great, she takes the time with each patient and makes sure to pick out the best option tailored just for you. If anything needs to be changed, then you can do so here with ease. All the staff are more than happy to help you. Last hit not least, the office features a huge array of premium glasses frames that will elevate your style instantly. I highly recommend this place.

Dr. Pal is wonderful, thorough and extremely qualified. She is regularly speaks at leading conferences, has all of the latest technology in her clinic, and has a great team. What I appreciate most of all is that she spends the time to get to know what is going on in my life and has a ton of patience for my rambling stories about various eye issues. When I had a serious issue years ago, she found it quickly and fast tracked me to specialists that would have otherwise taken months to see. I honestly couldn’t ask for more. Who likes seeing the eye doctor? I do.

Visited Dr Shalu Paul & Associates three times so far and the care has been amazing! Reception is extremely welcoming and accommodating (there is a back room that’s a bit darker for concussions) and the doctors very knowledgeable and supportive.

Professionalism with tons of friendly help and support. I have never had such an extended, comprehensive eye exam in my life and as a senior that works out to be over + 30 eye exams in multiple clinics in Ontario and U. S. I highly recommend this clinic especially for anyone who has optical issues related to traumatic brain injury, whiplash and concussion.all of which are labeled 'invisible injuries' that rarely get the attention or help they deserve while destroying your health and life.

I highly recommend the Dr. Shalu Pal optometry clinic. The staff are wonderful and really seem to care. Front desk staff are always friendly, and the entire process is professional. You really get the feeling that they care about patients, and ensure tests are done for best eye health. I have Glaucoma and they knew what needed to be done, including various tests (I forget the name of them). The glasses style in the retail space look great, and range from conservative/simple to very trendy. I've covered various optical stores for the retail industry publication that I own, and Dr. Shalu Pal is the place I'd go to for eye care and frames etc, as they go above and beyond.

I have had several eye exams done ever since I was 13 years old, I am now 22. I have never felt 100% comfortable with given prescriptions, one doctor even told me I was "picky". Dr. Shalu Pal identified a PRISM that no other doctor found in the 9 years of my eyes being checked by different optometrists. AMAZING.

Dr. Yeung is a very knowledgeable and caring individual. I have trusted Dr. Yeung for a few years with my eye health. I have a rare, but manageable eye disease, and Dr. Yeung has been my primary eye specialist in maintaining my eye health. I have only received professional attention from the first day I stepped into her office. She took the time to explain my condition, and the measures that she would advise me to take, to prevent my condition from worsening; all the while keeping a close eye on any changes in my eye health at regular scheduled check-up intervals. I wouldn’t feel comfortable going to any other doctor other than the ones at the Shalu Pal Practice; especially Dr. Yeung. She is a very compassionate, empathetic and caring person who never flaunts her expertise, but rather, explains procedures and conditions, in a benevolent manner, to focus on her patients' health and well being holistically. She explains even the most complicated and complex matters, including diagnosis in a way that helps you to understand the complete picture. She does this without a lot of medical and scientific jargon, all the while making you feel at ease about her expert conclusions.

The office facilities are extremely and impressively clean, organized, well lit, and friendly; with the latest in diagnostic equipment, perfect requirements to help treat someone who has a specialized condition like mine. The selection of frames, should you need, are extensive and is coupled with with expert advise on how to get just the right one to fit both your face fashionably and your budget alike.

The office eye care assistants, Sarah, Stephanie and Mark are like the Three Musketeers. They make it welcoming to come for your appointments. Sarah is the smile of the office, who greets you warmly and really cares to hear when she asks how you are doing. She is very hospitable and always offers clients a beverage. Stephanie makes you feel important by remembering your name and little details about each client. She always greets us all with a cheerful hello, asks how your day was, and is efficient at sending reminders of appointments. Mark is the cheerful voice behind the reminder calls, and is always able to help reschedule or change them if needed. They are an amazing team, that interact with patients on a personal level; like family. This helps ease the stress and anxiety that some of us feel, as with my special condition, I sometimes have to do many tests.

My appointments (which I refer to as visits), are seen as visiting family or great friends - making you wish you could stay longer.

From the moment I stepped into this office I felt welcome. Literally everyone that works there is so kind, caring, and helpful.

I originally went in for a consultation with Dr. Pal for scleral lenses. I had low expectations due to my past experiences with contacts but Dr. Pal completely blew me away. Not only is she incredibly knowledgeable (it is easy to see why she is a leader in her field) but she is so unbelievably personable. You can tell she truly cares about her patients. I don’t have words to express my gratitude to Dr. Pal, my vision is better than it’s ever been and the freedom I now have from my glasses is PRICELESS.

I would be remiss not to mention Stephanie and Sarah who have followed my care since my first correspondence. They are absolutely wonderful, extremely kind and helpful! I can’t leave Mark behind either as he is a ray of sunshine whenever I call or visit.
