Dragon Pearl Buffet

If have to compare it to Mandarin, it has same amount of variety but in terms of Fruits and desserts I would say Mandarin wins but overall our experience was good and would recommend it. The best item was the roast beef ribs and the seared salmon sushi.

The food was extremely cold and they had the Air conditioner on in January. My overall experience was ZERO!

The buffet is good and the price is reasonable since there’s crab/lobster.
Everyone get 1 coupon for lobster.
This place is pack on weekends, I suggest make reservations. There was 29 people check in ahead of us but good thing I made reservations. We waited maybe 10 min before getting seated. Also I suggest pay cash, they over discount if you pay cash. The service and staff was very friendly.

Oh it was a lovely experience. My children took me celebrated my birthday in Dragon pearl. It was a beautiful outing. The sea food was awesome. I highly recommend this place

I've been coming to Dragon Pearl since it opened and it's definitely impressive how it's grown to be one of the biggest buffets in the GTA. Even at the start, it's commanded a premium price for a great selection of buffet foods. At the current day, it's $49 for dinner on weekends, which is far more than I ever expected to pay for an AYCE meal. I think the price is the main reason that I probably won't be back, unless it's for a special occasion.

Some of the notable offerings include roast beef, seafood boil, peking duck, and a half lobster per adult. I was disappointed that there wasn't something more on Saturday nights, as on Friday and Sunday night there are cold crab legs. I don't really understand why Saturday would be excluded from this. Their AYCE Wagyu promotion just ended too, so I felt like we got the short end of the stick from all sides. The other food was good, definitely good quality, but it's hard to justify the price tag without offering some more high value dishes.

The environment has definitely changed as well, it felt more like they were herding cattle at the front as they read off numbers and names on a microphone. There were so many families standing around waiting to be seated, and this was only at 5: 30! We waited around 30 minutes for our group of 6, which was actually pretty fast considering the 25 groups in front of us. The inside was just as hectic as the outside, as there were so many people walking around and it was difficult to really follow the flow of the room. People were lining up from both directions, making it hard to get where you wanted. They had employees serving high value items like peking duck and salmon sashimi, which makes sense, but slowed down the lines sometimes. I will say that both the Peking duck and salmon sashimi were great quality and I got some on each plate.

Overall the food is good but I definitely cannot eat $49 worth of food on any day. I think if they offered more promotions on weekends (for example, birthday person free) I would be more inclined to visit. The food quality is higher than average for an AYCE restaurant and they refresh the dishes quite often.

Food was fresh with many different options. Desserts are soooo good! Clean and not very expensive.

The price is way too expensive. The chairs are uncomfy and falling apart. Food is just ok.

We are not done eating yet but they already giving the bill and we are not even there for an hour. Food are not tasteful.

Came here for their advertised ayce Wagyu. For $45 I was already not expecting real Japanese Wagyu. But what I got, tasted and looked like a regular steak you can get from your local supermarket. Which is not bad steak, but not Wagyu.

The other offerings were all at least okay, and they had good variety. Overall not bad, but why lie about the Wagyu?

Easily the best AYCE Chinese buffet in the North York area. Always able to find something good on the budget as well as the standard staples (who doesn't love crispy tempura shrimp!). And the place is always busy, which is a good thing. It means the food doesn't sit under the heat lamp for a long time a dry out.

First time going. Staff was pleasant. Even though they didn't have hot crab legs, the cold ones were flavourful and amazing. Spicy crab was delicious! Friday is the only day for crab legs.

This is my new go-to restaurant for all-you-can-eat. COVID Safety protocols are in place and service is very good. I enjoyed the lobster and hands made noodles

Avoid the weekend rush at noon, as there are long lineups for Peking duck and sushi. In comparison to Dragon Legend, the dining area is more spacious and fancier. However for food quality and more choice, I would highly recommend Dragon Legend over Dragon Pearl. I give it 3.5 stars.

One of the best weekend dinner buffet that you can think of. Nice atmosphere and friendly service. The flavors are kept very similar to Cantonese food from GZ.

Some of the food was cold while some of it was hot when I came at 1: 30 on a weekday. Normally it's always hot.

Dragon Pearl is one of the higher end oriental all you can eat buffet places in Toronto. The restaurant is clean and staff follows COVID protocols, they'll ask for proof of vaccination, and have a mask policy in place when you are not eating. The restaurant also provides single use plastic gloves while you get food from the various food stations.
Staffs are very friendly and they worked hard, used food plates were taken away promptly and they clean the tables with disinfectant after customers left.
My favourite dish are Peking duck, sashimi and fish. They also have a variety of deserts which are tempting, my favourite is freshly made tofu with syrup.

This place is celebrating its anniversary with a $30 off coupon for a party of 3. When told there is a senior (for a 20%) discount she said it only applies when there is a party of 4 (against what the coupon clearly indicated for 3 person dine-in get the $30 off total price.
Then we were seated on a table just next to another party - clearly no protocol for social distancing when the restaurant is half empty of smaller table.
Ok, so we partake of the food which is good and tasty. Then come the bill automatically before the 3pm last-call time - $37.26 Then we paid a $42 total including tip which is about 12.7%. She suggested that the tip should be about $4 more, which make that 23.46%
First, I think it is rude that server demand a certain % tip which is not legal practice in Canada. Second, did she expected a refund of the $30 coupon as tip? You just lost a regular customer! Please don't expect me to use the $50 dinner coupon. Good luck to your restaurant.

Food quality is lower than before, short of staff and your waiting time for a service request is toooooo long

It was my second time to eat at this restaurant with my sister and niece. I like the food that was display for you to choose what you wanted to eat. The ambiance is nice as well as the staff.

The buffet is worth it. I really enjoyed the options available. A wide variety of proteins, bbq, noodles, vegetables, soups, and more. The sushi aisle was underwhelming (low quality and cheap sushi only so i avoided it). They also have a cold bar which had amazing fruits and salads (the best kani salad ever!). There is also a fruit bar, an ice cream area and a dessert bar which was very very delicious. I absolutely recommend it if you like chinese food.

Fantasic value buffet in a beautiful restaurant. Twice now we have visited towards the end of the lunch period and the food was still fresh and great tasting. My wife is vegetarian and found plenty of good options.

Staff were all really friendly with very fast service.

Really nice dining area. Lots of food choices like duck, hand made noodles, to roast beef. You receive one voucher ticket to get their special of the day (fresh scallop when I went).

Asian Buffet lovers will find it very interesting place; the food quality is better than similar places like Mandarin or Mongolian with slightly less variety in food.
Besides the big advantages of this place are nice decorations and super friendly and helpful staff, esp "Ann" the manager is awesome and can help you in reservation and having a great time there!
It is a great place for family/friends gatherings or celebrations with plenty of parking spots available. It will be Repeated and is Recommended!

Missed Dragon Pearl for over two years! It was great experience being back and the experience didn't disappoint. Went at lunch instead of dinner and you get your roast beef, sushi, fried noodles, fish, roast chicken, BBQ pork, dim sum, myriad of desserts and many more. Service was also excellent and the restaurant was very clean.

Absolutely phenomenal. All the workers there are so kind and helpful. They have good rules and plenty of gloves and sanitizers set in place regarding COVID-19 so I felt very safe here. The atmosphere is lovely and place was very clean which is surprising because of how busy they always are! There are so many different varieties of food choices. Food is delicious and they stock up on their food very quickly so the food is usually hot and fresh. The price per person is very understandable and affordable. Washrooms are beautiful but should have paper towels to wipe hands dry because they only have one hand dryer. Overall I had a great time here and will come again

Not quite as good as Mandarin, but the indoor decor is nicer than any Mandarin I've been to. Very good for parties, larger gatherings.

What can I say it's just a buffet so don't expect much. I like how Peking duck is available for lunch and dinner. It's really the only thing I come here for.

Otherwise, It's pretty clean and they make sure everyone wears gloves when going out to get their food.

Omg this place is da bomb. Only thing is I don't like getting charged for lobster I don't eat. Should be optional.

Drove all the way from brampton the food was very average the price is really high for the type of food and service they have. Just wanted to put out there that they do charge a fee if you have a child under 2 years that can eat which i never had to experience at any place before.

We had a waitress come up to us telling us very rudely that our baby made a huge mess and that she had to clean it after thats thier definition of "customer service" very disappointed with our experience would not recommend this place.

The food and service were above our expectations. We truly enjoyed the atmosphere of this spot. Excellent spot to take my family out for lunch.

A nice spread of food. Thanks to the crowd the food is constantly turning which men's fresher food. Good experience in all.

Dragon Pearl Buffet was a disappointment. I had made a reservation a few days in advance for my husband's birthday dinner. My family and I went on a weekday for the buffet.

On arrival, at check in, I had informed the employee that it was my husband's birthday. She confirmed with me that we had a birthday celebrant, a senior and four more adults. She brought us to our table and we ate. The food was very, very bland and some items were cold.

At Dragon Pearl, there is a birthday promotion that states the celebrant eats for free as along as there are 3 paying accompanying adults, which we qualified for. When the bill came, it showed that the birthday celebrant was fully charged. I told the waiter that it was my husband's birthday and he shouldn't be charged, as the promo is stated on their website and in-store at the restaurant. The waiter said to me "no there is no birthday promo today. Maybe next week or maybe next month. Not today. "

How does that make sense? We went to talk about the bill to the same employee that checked us in and she also said there is no birthday promo.

Why? Why "not today, maybe next week or next month"? That is totally unprofessional and unacceptable. Dragon Pearl showcases the birthday promo in-store and on their website, but they fail to inform their customers at reservation or before seating about the removal of this promo. It is deceitful.

My family and I will never eat here again, especially not for special occasions.

I’ve come here many times in the past and it was always delectable and an amazing experience. This time I came on a weekday at 1: 30 and maybe because it was near closing time but some of the food was cold and tasted bad while others were warm and tasted good. I’m used to everything being warm and tasty but this time it depends on the dish. The service was excellent though and so was the decor and ambience.

I was in this restaurant for the first time and was pleasantly impressed not only by the food, but also by the interior design.
Great 'all that you can eat' buffet with wide variety of food, friendly staff and many waiters. A very popular place.

Got some peking duck today. The problem was that most of the duck was still hooked to bones of the animal and presented as this hodpodge. It was hard to eat it with all the bones still attached. Second, the other portion of the duck was in cut pieces and could be formed like a taco.that was nice. I would have preferred all of the duck to be like that. Also the meat was pretty tough and gamey.overall, an so-so lunch with some room for improvement.

This site is my favorite restaurant. Of all restaurants I know I favor it most. I never miss an opportunity to go to visit this restaurant.when I want to go to a fair lunch, this is the place that comes instantly to my head.superb and many types of food and a large menu.helpful staff members, and good atmosphere. Also, the cost is fair. I sent my friends to this place with pleasure.

We arrived at this spot for lunch.we heard about this restaurant from a lot of people. Well, we were not disappointed.the staff were so friendly and we felt very good. The food was just great. We had a great time and we will visit this place again.we highly recommend this place.

I visit this spot a lot since I work right next to it. I got to say the service is always excellent and they keep the place clean all the time. Rates are fair and they serve generous portions.

I like this place.if you go during lunch weekdays, it’s around $22 with tax which is cheaper then the other buffets in this area.chicken dishes are exceptionally good, and generally the area is clean and well kept.waiters/waitresses refilled glass constantly and were very polite.the fire alarm did go off for about 5 minutes last time i was there but it was fine.i *did* find a wire-like thing in my food but it didn’t really bother me as much as finding a hair would

We were last February 18th and celebrated Family Day. Dragon Pearl Restaurant is one of the best buffets in Toronto. Almost similar to Mandarin but they serve more variety and seafood options. Great atmosphere! There are a tons of people that gathered to this lunch or dinner restaurant. I guessed special occasions are easily hosted here as well. The price is good for quality food.

The calibre of Asian food meets Asian standards. They have your standard buffet food, on top of Peking Duck, crab legs, oysters, lobster.all delicious. They are super busy so make sure to have reservations. They have a birthday month special but it is cash only.

Broad spectrum of food, and clean facilities. Staff are constantly being helpful, and there were even a couple on the floor simply being attentive and directing other staff on ways to make the customer experience better. I was a little confused by the video (with url screen) playing the whole time, but that didn't detract from the place. Highly recommend.

A great place to eat. Lots of variety so there's something for everyone. Staff are quite friendly and accommodating. They are rated better than Mandarin Restaurants any day. KUDOS.

The food at this buffet is simply great! I've been here about 3 times and I want to come back as soon as possible the service is incredible and they bring out a whole cake for someone's birthday! The sashimi is all fresh fish and all of the sushi is well prepared 10/10 restaurant will eat again

I came once with a tea meetup group and once with my mother to celebrate by birthday. Food was very nice. My mother came with her co-workers for I think Christmas or a good bye party

Dragon Pearl Restaurant is one of the best buffets in Toronto. It is similar to Mandarin but offers more extravagant and seafood options. The atmosphere is superb! There are a variety of people that flock to this restaurant for either lunch or dinner. Wedding parties and other big special occasions are easily hosted here, making other guests feel part of the party as well. For the amount and quality of food, the price is decently placed.

This restaurant used to be way better two years ago, the variety and the service has slipped. The dishes are not refilled in a timely manner, and often empty. Don't think we will visit this in the future.

Great place to have, more or less, whatever chinese food you wish as well as a sushi bar! Constantly refilling to ensure that everyone gets their fill! Enjoy and wear your stretcht pants!

I gave this place 4 stars and not 5 because of Its the ambience/lighting. The restaurant could be a bit more well lit and have a bit more "restaurant" feel. We were given a table where the light was so dim we could barely make out what the food looked like. The food is incredible! A bit more expensive than similar buffet restaurant like Mandarin but the quality and variety more than makes up the extra 2$. The variety of fish and shrimp on any given day is far superior in terms of quality, size and flavor. Chicken wings are done 2 ways plus there are 3 more types of chicken served. Seasoning is on point and there are a variety of sauces available. There is duck served on the most basic buffet and it is absolutely delicious! There are more varieties of soups served here. This place is definitely for grow ups as there is a focus on Asian cuisine no foods like pizza, fries are not great in quality and best skipped. However the roast beef is on par to any western style restaurant. Stir fried vegetables are on par with the meats and so are the noodles/rice and "filler foods". We have decided to stop going to the Mandarin now!

Awesome all-you-can eat spot. Great for larger groups as well as couples. The food is delicious, alcohol is also served (not incl.in all-you-can-eat). The place is decorated beautifully in a traditional Chinese style.

I literally only go here to eat Peking duck, when friends and family want to go out for dinner I suggest here so I can eat duck and they can eat from the buffet.

It's not the best duck, but it's still Peking duck.

My fav for mixed canjun seafood such as crawfish, mussel, king crab leg, and shrimp. I usually come here on Sat night because they have lobster. Sometimes, there is fried oyster. Overall good experience

A fancy version of the Mandarin. Dinner has sashimi, crabs and different types of shrimp. A feast for a seafood lover. Pecking duck, noodle bar and your typical grill stuff. Food it's good quality, but not always the best tasting. I would prefer lunch with it's typical Asian style menu.

Dragon Pearl won’t honor their birthday meal or senior price on a holiday. We couldn’t properly celebrate a birthday which person was born on a holiday (July 1st). 2 Thumbs down for Dragon Pearl!

The servers are great, the food has never disappointed me either. The best time to go is during the lunch special though or you'll be paying nearly $40 each.

Not as expensive as some other buffets. There is so much variety of different types of food there and I enjoyed trying all of it. The desserts are also pretty good. The resturant is marketed and tries to be decorated as traditional chinese but the food isn’t really that specific to china. But that doesn’t really matter for me.

We were celebrating our father’s 90th birthday on June 30,2019. We had an 11: 30am reservation for 27 persons. We have been here twice before with the larger group of about 70. We will never dine here again as we were rushed and repeatedly told of the 2 hour time allowance. A Chinese buffet restaurant is not the same as a fine dining restaurant. Our father was still eating his fruit when they started clearing the table. Disgraceful and rude!
