Too bad zero stars isn’t an option! I don’t know if this fly fishing store is a front or a laundry mat, but something's fishy here and it ain't the lures or the flies! I don't understand how products go from considerably overpriced - were talking 5x jacked up to now everything seems to be a hot deal when most of the fishing products are about useless as gum on a boot heel! The tawdry Instagram videos are practically begging people to come down to the store and grab items while still available, it's as though people are running all over hells half acre - these guys are making the fly fishing shop seem like a rooster one day and a feather duster the next. What's with all the distraction with the beer chugging, movies and videos and God knows what else they’re cooking up back there.
This shop has nothing on Bass Pro and Cabela’s, it's no bigger than a minnow in a fishing pond and I don't know what's crazier here the absurd pricing policies or unhinged strumpet owner operator with the bad acting skills!
Not my monkies, not my circus, but those clowns sure are running amuck.
I'll be steering clear of this stinky, sinking ship. Crooks with hooks, if you ask me. J-bait looking creeps and freaks.

Visiting Drift Outfitter Fly Shop was a costly pleasure for me, but a delight nonetheless. (Chris, I'm pointing the finger at you! Ha ha). This shop boasts an incredible team and delivers top-notch customer service. If you're accustomed to Canadian Tire, Cabela's, or Bass Pro, I highly recommend giving this small, yet mighty, shop a chance.

It's a place where dreams are made, and perhaps the dream of the shop owner is to separate you from your money! But jokes aside, what stands out here is the unparalleled knowledge and unwavering dedication they have. The crew, especially Chris and the others, are not only incredibly helpful but also fantastic enthusiasts who genuinely love the sport and are committed to ensuring you get the best value for your time and money.

I started fly fishing recently and was recommended to check out drift outfitters. They are by far the best fly fishing shop in the GTA. They have a wide variety of rods/reels/lines/ and flies that are perfect for any type of fishing and any price range. The staff at drift outfitters are incredibly kind and insightful every time I walk in I learn something new, along with having a very well behaved dog in the shop. Located downtown drift outfitters is a quick 10 minute walk from queen station.

First time actually in the store. What an awesome place. Packed with EVERYTHING you need for fly fishing. Staffs are all super friendly and very helpful. Best fly fishing in Toronto!

Let me start by saying the staff at Drift Outfitters are super friendly and incredibly knowledgeable when it comes to directing you in the right direction. I recently signed up and attended a casting class. The class was 2.5 hrs and in that relatively short time I was amazed at what I had learned. It was my first time casting a fly rod but let me tell you I left that class with confidence and knowledge that I would not of thought possible in a short time. If anyone is not sure or intimidated at learning how to fly cast, Drift Outfitters is the place to contact.

This is where you go in the GTA for top of the line fly fishing gear. It’s a mandatory stop for gear and advice no matter where you’re headed.

I’ve been at the Spey game for more years than the drift has been in operation. I can tell you the Drift is one of the very best shops in Ontario if not Canada. I’m old but very capable and now a thing or two, this shop will serve you extremely well, stay loyal to a shop like this as it will serve your interest and others for the long term. I could go on but try to have trust in me when I recommend the Drift.

Bought some float fishing gear. The staff are friendly and helpful, gave good advice to inform purchases. More of a fly fishing store but they have float gear there also. Accessible by TTC, located downtown. They have a great online website. Highly under rated store, would recommend to come here for mainly fly fishing but also some float fishing as well.

I don't usually take the time to write these reviews but, I feel it's important to recognize excellent customer service.

I got into fly fishing a few years ago and it's not easy to find a store the specializes in something like fly fishing but, Drift Outfitters has it all. I've made several purchases from them, from flies to line and rods to waders, each time I've been amazed with their service. My purchases have been both in person and online (their online store is really well done) and each experience has been truly amazing.

When I wanted to try Euro Nymphing, I went into the store and talked to the associates there. They were extremely helpful in getting me set up with everything I need. Last week, when I needed new chest waders and opted for a stocking foot pair with wading boots, the staff onsite were there to assist me and answer all my questions (which by the way I'm loving the new chest waders and boots, thanks guys!). With one of my online orders, someone from Drift called me to make sure I had ordered the correct item for my fly box!

Each and every time I make a purchase I'm amazed by the professionalism, level of customer service and quality of the products. When ordering online, they are quick to fill your order and get it out to you. When shopping in store, there is never any pressure to upsell you and they'll give you an honest opinion. They'll help anyone from the beginner to expert and the staff has the knowledge to get you what you'll need to succeed.

Amazing service and equipment. Staff very willing to tell you all you need to be successful on the water. Would recommend to anyone try to get into drift, center pin or fly fishing.

The quality in both material and service has not changed. A true gem of a fly shop, with a wide range of products to select from. Cam was the gentleman that helped me and encouraged me to tie flies. He was very knowledgeable.

Lots of useful tools, mostly for fishing. Needs more general selection carabiners, very helpful dudes behind the counter and well kept store! I bought a Patagonia sidebar there

Fresh off the river for the day, I wanted to thank the staff at drift. I had a blast my second time out with my compact spey. I walked into the shop wanting to give two handed swinging a go. Being something I hadn’t done before, the staff took the time to properly outfit me, go over options and made sure left ready to hit the river. From rod to reel to line to fly, I left with a well balanced outfit that feels great.

Its a great place for service and fly tying and fishing supplies. As well as additional advice on to tie flies as well how to fish local streams n rivers.

The last time I wrote a review about this store was 2 years ago and I still have to say it is the best flyfishing store in Ontario and I have been to a few of them great customer service with all the staff and the owner and great knowledge of all aspects of flyfishing, great job keep it up.

Hands down the best fly shop out there. Staff is knowledgeable, accommodating, and friendly. Lots of reasonably priced gear options for local as well as global trips.

Best fly shop I have ever been to. All the right gear, at any price point, with the most friendly staff I have ever met. Staff who truly love the sport and are just as passionate about fishing as they are about protecting the fishery.

As a guide, I can't count how many times I have heard my clients brag about their experience at Drift Outfitters before we hit the water for the day.

Pathetic customer service. Ordered the wrong fly line, wouldn't take it back, now have to pay shipping for a line that is useless to me. Would give these people 0 stars if I could.

Talked to Eric over the phone to help me with my first fly setup. He provided great info and advice particular to my local rivers. I made my online purchase and am looking forward to heading out on the water.

Recently ordered online from drift outfitters, great selection of products and prices. Had spoke to Chris on the phone regarding a fly reel he was very polite, patient and informative and he helped me find what I was looking for. I live just north of Toronto and going forward will only deal with drift outfitters when I need any fly fishing gear. I highly recommend this fly shop.

Amazing selection of premium fly fishing rods and accessories and possibly the best selection of premium waders any where in Ontario

Just purchased a Dually Spey Rod by Redington. Fantastic service by Drift. The owner Rob is the nicest guy and tack sharp on fly fishing. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly and able anglers. If you want that Mom and Pop shop feel with angling experts who will set you on the right path to successful fishing adventures Shop at Drift! PS. Chris K, is almost as nice as Rob!

Fly Shops come and go. Skinner's, Wilson's, and others. But what makes them last and gets people coming back is customer service. Drift Outfitters gets a 10 out of 10 from me.or 5 out of 5 using the star system above!
After being out of the game for a bit, their knowledgeable staff quickly brought me up to speed, recommended the right line and backing for my rod & reel all over the phone! But it did not end there. Late on a Saturday afternoon, they went the extra distance to pick and pack the order and get it to the post office, (they are closed Sunday and Monday). I got notification that my package arrives tomorrow. Tuesday!

It just does not get any better than this.

You can go to the big box guys, or one of the online places, but, they are soulless and lack the personal touch that fly fishers generally want. Drift Outfitters makes you feel you have just waded ashore to refit before heading back out. They are and will remain my kind of place.

Well equipped store selling the primary fly fishing brands of rods, reels, lines and accessories. Very very knowledgeable staff and friendly. We’ve got to support these guys!

I have had nothing by great experiences and great service in my visits to Drift. All of the staff are extremely knowledgeable about the equipment the store stocks, and have lots of real fishing experience as well. The best part of the experience is that the team there seems to care much more about helping you find what's right for you, rather than simply making a sale to move product. Very few shops like it in the city!

Not so sure about this shop anymore, went here when the first opened, they had some events and I thought the staff were friendly, humble and went out of their way to help me out.
Went to this shop a few weeks and was appalled by how poor the service was, wasn't acknowledged by the staff at the counter who were well involved in the conversation they were having. Approached the counter and asked a few questions and the kids there made it known that I was inconveniencing them and that I should book a lesson with them than ask questions.
I'm a beginner, learning about fly fishing, but obviously this shop is only now for the elite so I won't be coming back.

Always knowledgable and friendly staff. Prices are right (if not better), they always have somekind of event or trip or petition that most respectable fly fishermen/anglers would be interested in. Great products.

I don't even know where to begin. Drift is honestly the customer service story of century IMO. Over the past month Rob, Chris, Jack, Gab et all staff have helped gear up not only me, but my girlfriend and a couple other buddies. Each and every time I've walked through the front door the experience has been stellar. From a myriad of beginner questions, to placing special orders, all without even the slightest hint of elitism. Drift is the real deal and every small business out there could learn a thing or two from the ways these folks run their shop. I was a customer 5 minutes after walking in on day one, and look forward to being one for many years to come. Accept no substitute.shop at Drift.

1st time in the store a couple of weeks ago and I'm a brand new fly fisherman just taking a one day "on pond" course late fall. This also equipped me with the right questions to ask to get started. And the guys at Drift had all the answers to set me up with an entry level 5 weight in my budget. Very knowledgeable, very helpful, no pressure sales & very down to earth & straight forward with their advice. Big box stores may have some selection for rods and for odds & ends but Drift is the place to go when you make your gear investment especially when you're starting out.
I'll be back again & again.

It's important as a local river fishing guide to have a local fly shop that you can trust and feel comfortable sending your clients to for gear and advice and this store is by far the best fly shop in Ontario which is why I highly recommend them to all my friends and clients. They offer friendly service, the best selection and the best advice. The customer feed back I hear about them is always very great.
