Very friendly staff. I passed my G test at this location!

But the bathroom looks like it just came out of the Exorcist movie. It needs to be deep cleaned.

If I could give a 0 I would. Disgustingly rude staff. We are paying for your services this isn't a free service. If you can, go to the Lindsay drive test centre it is much better with actual mature workers. Genuine scum of the earth people. How about actually read the reviews cause clearly I'm not the only one who thinks so. You guys need to revamp your entire system. An embarrassing mess of a place.

Passed my G2 test here and the examiner was VERY nice calm and collected. I was nervous seeing the reviews here but I guess everyone has different experiences.

I had a wonderful experience at the Oshawa Driving Test Center, thanks in large part to the exceptional service provided by the very nice test examiner, Kate. She was not only professional but also incredibly patient and supportive throughout the entire process. The test center itself was well-organized and efficient. I couldn't have asked for a better experience, and I highly recommend this center, especially with Kate as your examiner. Thank you for making my driving test a positive and stress-free experience!

I recently had my G road test at Oshawa, and I wanted to share my experience with you. I must say that I was quite disappointed with the evaluation process. I had heard rumours about certain instructors acting differently towards foreigners, but I didn't want to believe it until I experienced it firsthand.

While I understand that being a driving instructor can be tiring, I felt that she lacked the willingness to communicate effectively. Her instructions were often mumbled and delivered too quickly, leaving me unsure if I had heard her correctly. This made the whole experience incredibly frustrating and felt unprofessional.

At one point during the test, I had a question about a road-related matter, and I politely asked for her opinion. Her response was, "You shouldn't ask me; you are in the test. " I also noticed that her hands were in the air as if she was offended by my question. I genuinely thought it would be beneficial to seek clarification on the matter to ensure I was making the right decision during the test.

I wanted to express that I found this response a bit surprising and disheartening. As a candidate taking the road test, I understand the importance of being solely responsible for my driving decisions during the evaluation. However, I believed that questions related to road rules and safety under a unique situation were welcomed during the test, as they can contribute to better understanding and learning.

To top it off, I had to wait for over an hour past my scheduled appointment time before the test actually took place.

Racism at its peak. The lady instructor just doesn't like anyone brown or black. She doesn't smile or greet when greeted. The reason for failing G test with 10 years experience and a G2 was overdoing blind spot checks. Like what? Why do you think we are overdoing our blind spot checks in the first place? Because it's over hyped and when we don't over do it, we fail. Now if we over do it we fail? Everyone knows that over checking blind spots is done just for the driving test, but she used that as a reason to fail. Guys save your time and money by avoiding this center.

Had the examiner guy with the blue hair. When I was going into the parallel park, he literally slammed on the breaks so hard and started yelling about how uncomfortable he felt with how close I was to the car. Didn't even give me a chance to readjust myself like I was going to do and I was not close to where I was gonna crash head into the car. Also seemed annoyed and gave attitude towards the end. Very disappointed and if you have this examiner, be aware.

Set up for failure, was told I made a motorcyclist brake when I was told to change lanes on the highway, the motorcycle was getting off at the same exit, so was breaking at the same time. Either I put on the brakes to get behind a speeding car or I do 110 to pass. I chose the safer option to brake. Had I sped up I would have also failed. I said this to the tester at the end and he didn’t seem to want to hear anything, just said I didn’t meet standards and left.

Had my G test here and it was super smooth. I didn't get the name of my drive tester but she was very friendly, made me feel at ease, easy to talk to and had very clear instructions.

I had an appointment there, signed in electronically, the test started 10 min late. After we got back I had to wait around 15 minutes to get my temporary license and we were out the door. I'd recommend this location!

Very rude examiner. I strongly recommend not to go there. Seems He is passing time during exam. He didn't give me any chance to prove. No reverse or forward parking, no 3 point turn, no parallel parking, no lane change, nothing. And he slept 10 mins in car. And at end of exam, He said you are fail. What a joke and what a place for exam. Really ridiculous. Never never go back.

I've had great luck with this place. Although the wait times are bad the instructors I got for both my G2 and G were pleasant and understanding. Try this test center before ant other locations in the GTA.

Full truth about this place, the place is good enough for what is it and yes they try to get a little money off you if you don't following there exact guidelines. It's simply really go there with all the knowledge you need to pass and don't just wing it because there is a good chance you'll fail then come here to give a bad review because you where dumb enough thinking you'll pass with just winging it. Keep you mask on and sit and wait you don't need to be " just drinking water" or " just fixing your makeup" they will say you weren't wearing your mask and refuse to do your test. I'm basically just saying don't give them a reason. From my experience as a full g driver they grade you fairly and """mostly""" pleasant while driving, they are there to do a job and it's to keep people that have no business driving off the road. You'll only ever have to deal with them 3 times in your life and that's for your g1, g2 and full G, get it over with and move on. Good luck!

Pretty long wait, i had to wait 1 hour for my examiner but he was polite and hassle-free.route was pretty straight forward, there were no major difficulties and i passed at the end.obtaining my actual license took another half hour.overall not phenomenal but not terrible either.

Had the best experience possible with my drive test instructor, Mandy, she was so cool and friendly for my G Road Test! Will recommend this place to everyone because of her. Thank you for a good experience, Mandy! Xoxo

They are really professional and streamlined with their tests. I was able to get my G1 and G2 with no issues. Even the driving instructor was extremely nice and patient and made sure that I feel comfortable during the exam.

I don’t know how to switch accounts. So I’m doing this under my sons name. I’m not one for reviews. But I recently had a very bad, and a very good experience. I had my G road test at the end of May 2022. I wasn’t in the building long. Lines weren’t bad. The bad experience happens when the instructor came to my car. He’s was an older man, he seemed polite. Until we got to the highway part of the test. He was yelling at me the entire time, and then failed me. I have insanely bad anxiety, and the moment he started getting mad and yelling at me. I bawled. I was a mess. I went home. Took it as a loss. BUT then I rebooked, and had my G test again today. (June 2022) and this time the instructor was beyond amazing. We talked about my bad experience and he made me feel so much better before we even left the parking lot. We talked the entire time during the test. Like we’ve been friends for ages. It was such a calming and nice experience, especially with how bad my anxiety gets. This man understood me, and helped me through it. I wish I knew his name. Because he truly was once of the nicest people I’ve EVER met at MTO.

Got our number 58 at 9am and the counter is still serving @ 19. They are so slow.it’s been 11 and they still serving 30. I have noticed 1 of the lady in the counter 1. She is accommodating special requests without number for the 2nd time. I approached her and so she said she’s doing special project without number? Really unfair for all the people waiting very long. Customer Service is very bad…customer are waiting longer hours but they don’t care are some of them are still chatting. Very disappointing and frustrating…. Avoid going to this testing site. You’ll be drained and lost your patience for the poor CS.

The experience over there was really bad today I went there with my husband for his G1 test but a lady said the barcode on DL extract was not scanned properly and she was in hurry she left an we waited for next an hour another lady told us she couldn’t help us because without talking with another lady which said no to us and ask us to come tomorrow

The drive test person was being sarcastic with me and was yelling at me in my own car after I explained that I personally felt I didn’t make a mistake. She was saying “really? You think that you can do that? Really? ! ” The lady I had gave me so much attitude.

My test was scheduled for a Sunday afternoon, so there was no rush, and my instructor (Johnny) arrived within 5 minutes. He was courteous and professional. Oshawa is an excellent location for giving G2, it was pouring and the weather was pleasant! My test went off without a hitch. All the best

If you are assigned MaryAnne as your examiner, be sure to fail. Twice i have gone with her for my G test and she has failed me. Today i refused to sign that i agree to have failed because i was about to make a right turn to the centre and she asked me to stop for a car coming from the left while i was already stopped. Either she is discriminatory for whatever reason or has personal issues. As a driver with 10+ yrs of experience driving on the highway both locally and abroad with zero accident history, there is no way i can be failing my G test but she found it fit to fail me twice. I need to appeal!

The examiner Craig here is very rude and unfair. He failed me on purpose. Came in the car with a huge attitude. Braked at an intersection saying I was going to a wrong lane but I wasn’t. I was very confused and asked why as when he’s off the brake I was already in the correct lane without adjustment. When I explained to him I wasn’t going to that lane he said “I don’t care”. Hope you guys don’t get him as you can’t pass when the examiner has full intention to fail you. They will find whatever excuse to brake and fail you.

Really awesome people only issue is I passed my G test on Jan 23 2022 and still have not got my new card.its been over 2 months?

Update its now June 8th my license slip expired and I cant reach anyone. What in the world is going on. Im ready to contact cp 24 for help.

Wish there could be minus star here. So disappointing. It is for my son's G1 test. Unbelievable LONG line and extremly SLOW going. They should manage the line more HUMANLY. Get some estimate just cut off accordingly. Don't leave the folks waithng in the cold for over 5 hours and then told them that's for the day! ONT should have contracted it to a better party!

Passed my G road test today so I have to give a shoutout to Johnny for being such a great and cool examiner! Although the wait time in getting your temporary license after the test is long. It was even longer than my road test.

Worst experience. This drive test centre doesn't have enough employees and computers. This leads to more lineups. Be ready to wait minimum 4 hours outside to get in.

A friend of mine went there and it was good, she however had to wait for 1 hour due to her mask not covering her nose. The same person came back the second time and was rude and hostile. The test went well, she did everything accordingly but was failed due to apparently not using her mirrors enough. The woman then proceeded to slam the door as she was leaving. I hope this test instructor had a better day after that

There is always a long line for the G1 but which is fine and understandable, but the problem is that if they close at 4, and there is a huge line still at 3: 30, they don't give you a heads up that you're probably not going to get to do your test, and you're left standing there having wasted your time for hours. They should really give you a heads up. Also, their workers are not the nicest.

I drove 50km on a rainy day at 6: 30am to the test center last week. The lady staff responsible for triage was so helpful and provided me with clear instructions. I was very lucky to have Arthur as my examiner. He told me to have a deep breath and gave me time to think where the light was when my mind went blank（I turned wipers on and splashed water: &). Be sure to have full mask on while waiting in the car, otherwise examiner will put you in system and you have to wait another 17-25 min (unfortunately I did that at the beginning).

If I could rate this place a 0 star I would from the time the examiner got to the car she was very rude you could just tell that she was already having a very bad day. Her direction were very unclear and just because of that I didn't pass my g2 test. Don't bring your child or student here they are very unpolite and rude I also went through the same thing with my g1 test also. Good luck to anyone that comes here

The worst ever experience I had. Staff extremelly unprofessional specially the road test taker skinny woman, with dark hair has no respect, no humble and no empathy for people who are waiting outside for a long time and refuse to take test for nothing or simple things. NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL

Worst experience. Note to Drive Test, don't have 1 worker training a new employee, and not have another person at another wicket to assist the public. 3 people in line up turned into 1 hour. Yes, you work for the government, but have a heart! Recognize the situation, and make adjustments. Can't keep on using COVID as excuses for not being efficient.

One of the worst places to get anything done.the line up can be the entire building and the line will move 2 people per hour. There are so many other drive test places that have a more realistic time frame.even with covid screening in place they still manage to waste people's time. Please if you don't have an entire day to waste you will have better luck going to a nearby center. For those doing a drive test it's the same everywhere but for G1, retesting, renewal or any other documents go somewhere else.they have signs that say if you are rude or aggressive or any type of behaviour be aware that the agents themselves are rude and aggressive. I was there on numerous occasions and so far I have been right everytime so I have started going to port union to deal with my families affairs.
None of the situations involving aggressive behaviour were against me but I watched and listened to so many soft spoken people

Took my G test. Passed no problem. YouTube videos are good but route I took was totally different. I entered the 401 twice, emergency stop, parallel park and 3 point turn. If you are going for a road test and it's already booked line up to the left of the front door 30min prior to your test. Make sure you have your licence and vehicle registration and parked along the wall with a numbered parking spot. If you don't do all of these things they won't see you until you do it. When you are waiting in your car for a test instructor make sure you have your mask on fully, under chin and over nose. If you don't they won't do your test and make you wait another 20min. Today my wife had a G2 test and when the examiner came out my wife pulled her mask down to drink some water. The examiner told my wife that she had to wait 20 minutes but 5 minutes later 2 people came out and said that she was unable to take the test because she wasn’t wearing a mask. So she told them that she was sorry for pulling her mask down and she could wait 20 minutes to take the test. But they told her that the test was canceled and that they would not refund the booking fee. We had a bad experience because we came from Toronto and wanted our time. We understand that we have to wear a mask but we don't understand why they made it such a big issue.

Cody's a real one. Made my G2 Test very relaxed and comfortable, straight up told me that I was overthinking things, and I got the pass. Wait times weren't too bad but I saw a guy have his test cancelled because he took off his mask in his car, so make sure you keep that on all the time.

Today my wife had G2 test here, after 2 hours waiting in a long line in a cold weather, when instructor has came to our car, meanwhile I just took my mask down to drunk water, he told to my wife: "guess what? I am gonna cancel your test cause your husband didn't wear his mask, you should book another test and pay half price. Good luck. " I tried to talk with him but didnt listen to me and just walk away. I have tried to talk with other staff but I faced same approach.
That's not fair.

The wait time is horrible. Too many people coming to Oshawa to do their testing and the people that actually live here have to suffer. Not enough staff for the amount of people doing their tests!

I've had a bad experience at another DriveTest location back when I was 18 which led me to never wanting to drive or doing any road test ever again. I was nervous to go through the process of obtaining my G2 test again but the staff was very friendly and reminded me to just take deep breaths and relax. Despite my nervousness, my examiner named Mandy made me feel comfortable during the test with clear instructions and answering my questions before starting the test. I was very happy when she told me I passed and gave me great feedback that will help me become a better driver.

I just passed my G road test at this location with Carl. He made me feel very calm during the process and he gave directions very well.

I've lived in Canada for 45 years. I've NEVER seen worse service. EVER. I am now into my 4th hour in line.outside.in the cold. They've let 2 people into the building from our line in the last 1 1/2 hours. I dare you to ask a question. Rude staff. Go someplace else. Worst service I've seen from any government agency in my entire life. I don't see how this experience could be worse. Maybe the people at the back of the line who've been waiting for 3 hours who will not make it in there. Unacceptable.

The worst drive test centre ever, why this place hired that horrible horrible young female! Do not bring your problem to work, you are pushing horrible experiences to everyone! Hey, young lady! If you saw this you definitely know I'm saying whom, shame on you!

I did my G2 driving test here today. One thing I will note is that it wasn't immediately obvious which line to stand in, and the employees seemed extremely busy. However, everyone here was very pleasant to deal with. My driving instructor, Cody, seemed like a pretty rad guy. He was very reassuring and made me feel very comfortable while taking my test. 10/10, would recommend

It was fast and smooth the young lady who gave me a test she was nice and calm so i passed my road test.

Let me start off my saying that Mandy, the exam instructor was the BEST! Even though I’ve been driving for years, I was still anxious about the G test but Mandy made the whole process comfortable and safe for me. Honestly she went above and beyond. Instructions were clear throughout and at any point if I needed clarifications I just asked. To everyone doing a road test, good luck!

Ultimate incompetent staff running the show here. Even after reaching at 7.00, i couldn't get inside. I didn't had to do written test, i just had to add my foreign exp to my license. There is just 2 lines, one for road test and one for others. They should have a 3rd line for miscellaneous.
Staff (LISA) doesn't even want to listen. I overheard her telling to another staff that she will clear the ppl at 4.15 pm
She rudely said that she is the authority here. Then went out to say that I am not following covid and is unsafe for her.
However i had my mask and was atleast 6 ft away from her.
She refused to listen to anyone.

It's as organized as it can be given how many people they are serving. It was great service, be patient they're seriously doing all they can to serve as many people as possible.
If you are going for your G1, a few people on line said they were there at 730am and it was about 130pm when they got to the front of the line.

My little sister had her G2 test today, and she said the examiner Sam was super polite, made her feel comfortable during the entire exam. No matter how much you prepare, it's important to feel comfortable when you're sitting next to a stranger, and she was really grateful for that.

Almost 2 hours line, but the staff is super friendly and they help you. You just need to take on consideration that they deal with the same questions over and over.

Had my G1 exit test today. My examiner, Matt, was extremely friendly and created a very relaxed environment for me to take my test. The process was also quick, as I arrived about 15 minutes before my time and was almost instantly called to check in. All the staff I interacted with were fantastic and Matt deserves special recognition for his great attitude.

Just completed drive test by Examiner 574.don’t know her name. She was extremely rude and ignorant and intimidating right off the bat before my daughter even left the parking lot. She indicated my daughter did everything wrong in the test even though she was challenged and ask for clarification on what was done incorrectly. She was yelling at my daughter during the examine. She obviously was having an off day and I think I was pretty sad to take it out in her job. Maybe she should consider getting another job and not take her problems out on others. My daughter had completed her full Young Driver Training and the Young Drivers Instructor had set her up totally for success. Stay away from that centre!

The drive test lady was horrible. She turned my wheel in the middle of the test and said "dangerous driving". She also said to hurry up on the stop signs even though you wait for around 2-3 seconds. Now I have to book another test and who knows when I will get another chance.

Worst experience ever. The test center is a mess. The check-in staffs are rude and not respecting the test takers.

Can you guys let me know where I have to send the complaint about the examiner.the guy started to yell at the beginning of the exam and everything get words.please let me know where I have to put the complaint.because I believe you guys are tired but this is not the way to show off.when you come to work, you are getting compensation for it so be nice with the new driver, my husband get in shock when he finished the road test.

Disgusting customer service, was first in line with 30 minutes until closing and I was refused. Horrible people, not a pleasure to deal with whatsoever

I had my test on the 17th of February.the examiner was very nice he made me feel relaxed and not stressed. I wish I knew his name.my exam was at 10: 22.and after I was done he told me that I did really good and I passed!

What a joke.had road test today.morning snow storm.afternoon roads are clear.and still cancel my test.with no notice at all.no phone call no email.horrible customer service.and customer relations!

Got what I needed done, but staff shortage is a problem. 2 hrs to do what should have been down in way less time. And there were no major line ups.

I got my G2 license today on this location. It is good place and staff is also very helpful. I have completed my exam with very good examiner. Her name is Mandy. I have read her name on review and today I have experienced that thing too. She is very nice and doesn’t make me feel like she is taking my test. The front desk staff is also good. Following all the rules and regulations for COVID-19. But, Overall great experience over here.

A nominal 2/5 for having a 100m line wrapping around the mall to social services. Making a giant Social Drive Service Test, which can be quite daunting if you've not studied.
Otherwise I can't tell you a thing about the place, except it held captive, a 300 ft human snake by the head.

I went here for my road test and it went by very quickly. I've registered 15 minutes earlier than my appointment time and I didn't have to wait for my examiner, she was already there. She was nice and gave clear instructions. The workers managing the front were efficient and tried to tend to everyone while following COVID-19 protocol. The con is that there was only one person working at the front counter so the line was very slow.

Absolute worst location. As it is the only one in Durham really most people come here so the wait times are ridiculous and it is just a hot mess

Waited months for the G test, upon arrival on the day of after speaking with desk clerk I'm told my appointment was cancelled because I'm from the "grey" zone. No call, no txt, no email nothing tf they get paid to do.

I had a great experience during my G exam. I never got the examiners name but he was polite and had a good sense of humour. During my exam the weather was -7 there was snow fall. My exam was approximately 22 minutes the examiner was very clear in directing me which lanes to change into, i was instructed to parallel park, 3 point turn and emergency stop park. After I pulled into the driving centre i was instructed to forward park in the public parking lot, when I parked the instructor said I did very well and passed me. Overall I had a good experience the route was simple and I started my exam at 9: 46 AM, I advise you guys to book a test between 8-12 because very little traffic and arrive half an hour early. Also practice parallel parking and 3 point turn! To whoever reading this good luck and best wishes.

Worst customer service, even though I had my all documents for adding additional experience she refused to comply I was about to show some proof that’s it’s possible but she asked me to leave and called someone else this should not represent a professional Center

I’m giving this one star because of the rude lady at the door.she denied my chance to attend the drive test just for the reason that my old address is in Toronto. I tried to show proof from service Ontario, bank statement and all.but still she told me she s not convinced.and asked me to leave the place. I never had an experience like this in my whole life.only one request to authorities, please set up a person who could listen and do things without any bias.

You cannot book an appointment for knowledge tests. I stood outside in cold weather for more than 2 hours to write the exam. Unfortunately, the staff was rude and impatient, especially when the general public was waiting for more than 2 hours. Management and customer service is poor.

The service is unbecoming of Canadians. The wait is too long and the conditions under which you are waiting is unacceptable. Rain, sun or snow you are in a line outside that is usually wrapped around the building.

NEVER GO HERE! They are racist and very rude! I would have cleared my G2 test but the examiner wrote a wrong comment which I didn’t even do. According to her, I would have hit the car behind while parallel parking.whereas I was not even reversing. I was constantly using my brakes! And the car itself was reversing! Terrible customer service.woman at cou terminal 5 refuses to call out numbers so pay attention.they skipped my number without saying a word.

Your experience will likely be very contingent on the examiner. For my G2 test, my examiner was calm and gave adequate time for instructions, so that generally was a positive experience. On the other hand, my G test examiner, Krystal, was extremely nasty before she even stepped foot into the car. Her horrible attitude from start to finish definitely affected my confidence which I'm otherwise a fairly confident driver. Good luck on who you get.

I went there couple of times. They are professional. I did my Road test tgere and the examiner was good.

Would give a zero star if i could. 8 desks 2 people working.huge lines all the time. Needs to be better managed

I just give one star for the centre, as the wait time was short and staff seemed helpful. However, my road test was almost a mess, despite my driving experience. The examiner I had was very rude and condescendent, and before even getting into my car, was angry and intimidating. I made some mistakes I never made before, as I was shaking a bit from his yelling voice. At the end he seemed less angry and could not really decide whether to pass me or not, but he said.unfortunately you didn't pass. A month later, I went to Toronto where I live and practised all the time, and passed. If you think about taking your road tests at this location, beware of an old guy with glasses and an angry face. Came in for my G test.was supposed to start at 10: 55am. 11: 35 rolls by, still no examiner comes out. I go in to tell them how long I’ve been waiting, give them my license and everything.they say they’ll send someone out right away. 12: 15 comes along and still no one.go back in AGAIN and they say once again they’ll send someone out. I’m sitting here in my car still waiting for an examiner to come out for my G test, I’ve never EVER experienced anything like this in my life. DO NOT go here for your test, it’s worth it to drive to the Lindsay location.
