You must be a little nervous when taking the driving test, but you have to learn to relax and it will go smoothly!

Awful experience. And it was mostly due to the examiner. It was a mid-aged lady with a breath that smelled like cigarettes. I tried to make small talk to break awkwardness and she completely ignored me. Just an awful vibe from the start. I felt like my performance on the road was excellent but when I parked back up in the side lot, she told me I was changing lanes too slowly when the criteria is to change lanes "safely". There's either a quota of fails that you guys need to hit or this examiner lady was just being personal. Unorganized and shameful service, all that money I paid to fail because the examiner is grumpy. Disgusting.

I took G2 exam on September 25 in this centre and I passed. I am grateful that I have Walter as my examiner and it was an amazing experience with his awesome professionalism and nice personality. Thank you so much. He read all the guidelines and instructions before we proceed with the test which made me more feel comfortable to drive.i am very much thankful for a great wonderful service and experience in this driving test centre.

DriveTest Office in Peterborough was small in size but a good center for folks giving G Road Test…Instructors were polite and whole process goes smoothly.

The reason for my one star is, the lady/people here are very rude. Dealing with people all day must be difficult to be pleasant I guess. I understand that. However, I had a staff member go through for a Air brake training course. Upon going in to get the Z endorsement on the license the ignorant woman behind the counter said the Ontario truck training course isnt a recognized course and that we would have to schedule a in cab test. Which is ridiculous. The people dont know what they are talking about. Avoid this place.

It was heavy rain on my G test. After all, as a driver, I should be skilled to handle any situation on the road. But more than rain, I was very unfortunate to have an examiner's name start with 'C'. He was so rude from the beginning.

The test started as per the schedule and I didn't think for a sec to reschedule to another day. I was extra vigilant from the beginning. When I entered the highway, I managed to merge at 100km/hr but I was behind a trailer truck. I have to make a choice quickly, since the truck was traveling at 100+km/hr, I decided to stay in the left lane and let the truck cruise without overtaking it. Then the examiner said I was in a blind spot and asked me to slow down in mid of highway.
Further, while existing on the highway I touched the white border line of the exit ramp. This was due to low visibility because of rain and the road was filled with water too. He even grabbed my steering wheel.

Apart from this, I missed the turning-off indicator, and braking wasn't silky smooth for just once. I understand the mistakes, but he failed me with the reason "Travels too fast for road and weather conditions"

He might be correct as per ministry standards. But I have a request, to evaluate a driver's skill, and his ability to handle any situation isn't measured with 1-2 incidents.

They have at least two examiners who are extremely unhinged, rude and rough in their communication. The one I had was Craig, he was rushing me and he was extremely impatient. He asked me to turn right while the light was red for me so I was checking my left side for obvious reasons but he aggressively says Go Right! Again. Besides that he continuously used foul language and pulled the steering wheel from my hand at least 7 times for no valid reason. My instructor caught him doing it the two times when we were near the driving test center and he said he had no valid reason for doing that. I know he was intentional in his aggressive behaviour and I have no doubt he is prejudiced as well.

Everyone from the Toronto Drivetest centres need to take a field trip to Peterborough to see how to be good at customer service and a decent employee! I was really positively surprised at how nice people were, especially compared to my previous experiemce in Drivetest centres. Keep it up DT Peterborough

Peterborough is the best drive test in Ontario, I would recommend anyone to go there for their G and G2.

The lady i took for drive test…she failed me for no reason, i feel she is racist…i have.a driving experience of more than 6 years. This is the second time they doing this for me …. Same lady

I had taken my G test today and I had this horrible examiner from Oshawa, her name is Dana. She told me to merge the highway in 100 Km speed on a construction side where the sign board appeared 80 km. Which is actually unsafe as the vehicles ahead of me maintained the speed of 80km. Also she wasn't friendly which made me nervous.

Highly friendly staff. I by mistake made my driving instructor Brooke wait for few minutes. Still pardoning my mistake. She was very kind, supportive and positive.

Guys everything is good here! But here is a road examiner I forgot his name i think craig but his appearance is around 45 age, white french shave and red color skin, heavy body, around 5.10 height and wear glasses!
Avoid this guy reschedule your date, this guy is 100% racist and arrogant and fails 99.99%. He is the real jerk avoid him!
He asked to change the Lane and I waited for safe distance then i changed and he said why did you wait this much long. And no other issue… attitude was too arrogant

I had the pleasure of having Donna today as my examiner for my DZ final exam and road test. She was an extremely professional and kind hearted young lady!:) Thank you to everyone at DRIVE TEST PETERBOROUGH! And a very special thanks to Donna!

I passed my G license today with Craig. He is a nice generous guy. I would suggest everyone to be polite going to your road examination. The ladies work the front desk are very nice and helpful as well.

I took my G test at this location last week and had Andrea as my examiner.
Oh my God! I still can’t believe how nice Andrea was.
Even before beginning the test she talked to me about general things like my birthday, to take the edge of my nervousness. It did help me calm down.
Her instructions were clear and precise and she even gave a couple of positive reinforcements during the test when she noticed my nervousness.

She is a gem of a person and I absolutely love her!

Thank you, Andrea. You are the best! Keep doing the amazing work you are doing and keep being your awesome self, the world needs more people like you!

There is construction on the 115 as soon as you get on the highway so there is a posted 80km speed limit. The instructor failed my child because they wouldn’t go 100km in the 80km zone and then told my child they didn’t have enough highway experience.

Easy route for G2 is passed my test here for today and the instructors are polite and giving out good tips when you are driving for your road test

I just passed the G test today. My examiner was Ashely. She was very polite, kind and gave me very clear instructions.

This place is cramped, dirty, and helps complete cyberpunk civilization. An example of how publicly funded systems can fail and become prone to corruption. If there was an actual choice of competitors or real oversight this system could improve. Like many systems in Canada it became public in theory but a private monopoly in actual practice. Drive Test centers will be upgraded when common sense rules again.

Got my G done here past week! Excellent smooth experience. Friendly calm examiners and a better test route than other locations!
Went in 25 mins before the exam time, took a token from kiosk, came out, and the examiner came along in the next 5 mins.
Entire road test took about 15 mins. I was back at drivetest even before my scheduled time started!

After the test, examiner even congratulated me on passing the test! Went inside the office and got my temporary G license paper within 5 minutes.

All in all, entire process took me about just 35 mins!
Cannot have hoped for a smoother experience!:)

Best place to book your drive test. The staff is extremely accommodating and the examiners are very considerate. I had Andrea as my examiner. She was very clear with her instructions and at the end while declaring the results she explained how could i improve even better. Definitely recommend this place for taking test

I hope you will be as lucky as I was, as I had Ashley as my examiner today. Ashley was very friendly; she explained the rules and procedures very well. Initially, I was nervous and was not driving like my usual self. Although I was not performing well in the beginning, Ashely was willing to observe to the end and gave her final result based on my overall performance.

Utterly disappointed and I agree with some of the folks here with the a ”RACIST” remarks. My brothers’ test was scheduled at around 3: 30 PM and We were early. Just to avoid a last minute hassle, we went in and asked one of the rep about getting a ticket. She advised to take a ticket and wait for the instructor 5 mins prior to the scheduled time. However, Instructor came right way and she had to wait 2 mins (to be precise) because my brother had to use restroom. He kindly apologized and she seemed friendly initially. He started his test and were on the road for about 20 mins; completed typical G test rounds. After his test, she failed him stating “No traffic checks and the 2 mins she waited at the beginning of the tests”.

Honestly, my brother felt racism. I am not taking her name. I thought to give a review and hopefully someone could do something about these incidents happening at this centre.

I recently passed my AZ licence, my profound gratitude goes to this nice and heaven sent lady Ms Donna who made it possible I take my test because it got canceled for some obvious reasons that was beyond her control. The staffs too were super friendly, each one I exchanged pleasantries reciprocated with a smile and kind gestures.

Okay, during the course of my test, Donna discharged her duties in a kind and professional manner, drilled the hell out of me lol she brought out the best in me, noted my minor errors and explained to me the best maneuver practices. What a great and unforgettable experience I had with you Ms Donna, God bless and thank you

My advise for upcoming drive test takers is to get yourselves fully prepared like your life depends on it and in the end victory is guaranteed, good luck

I passed my G a few hours ago and I have to say, this is one of the most welcoming environments I’ve been too. Sometimes doing a driving test can be nerve wracking but the driving instructors understand this and do their best at setting a calm space. Driving Instructions were clear, specific and timely. The actual centre is full of hardworking nice people who actually treat you with respect unlike some other drive test centres. And the lady who comes outside to check you in, is honestly a sweetheart and has the most positive attitude that would bring a smile to your face. Don’t listen to the reviews that call this centre “racist” as it’s not a true depiction of the centre and its workers. People will always make excuses for their failure, but calling a centre”racist” when it’s not is disgusting. Im black and passed with flying colours and I’ve never felt more welcomed. Just follow the car requirements and make sure to wear your mask as they stated (it’s not hard). A+ for their customer service and the great attitude that this centre upholds. Other driving centres can certainly take notes.

I was completely unimpressed with this location. The expectations around what Identification would work for 16 year old had changed recently when we went to do her G1, the man checking us clarified the new rules and gave us the paper work to fill out. We got that done and returned, he looked at the I’d we had, confirmed it was correct and we proceeded to wait for 30 minutes. When we arrived at the kiosk to pay and take the test the woman informed us quite rudely we had the wrong ID. When I explained the employee Theo checked is in had confirmed what we had was ok, she rudely stated “well people are wrong sometimes, goodbye”….
A government job does not in fact give you license to be rude. Of course there is no recourse for her behaviour. What a horrible experience.

My instructor was super friendly. He was kind and didn’t give me anxiety. Ladies at the front desk were snappy. The location sucks and the test itself was good.

Was told to change lanes multiple times in a short distance on a very very busy 115. Almost got hit and was cut off, then yelled at to hurry up and get over. So much for not being told to do anything unsafe or illegal. Failed my test because of this.

Staff at drive test are very friendly and they like to guide you properly. Lady at the entrance explained me well and clearly. She manages the crowd very well in spite of covid19. She explains new comer and tell them to follow so. Instructors are well trained and behave nicely. I am sure people like me like don't have problem writing driving test.

Excellent customer service, Tammy went above and beyond as I had some issue with my booking, My examiner was also perfect she made me feel comfortable before drive test and was very clear with instructions. A message for Guy at door - Please try to be nice many people have situations which can be understood and their can be a way to work around

I'm giving this trashy location 0 stars. The workers at this drive test were HORRIBLE if I put it nicely. They wasted my time and money by not telling me that I had to wear a mask in the car before my drive test and when I asked if I could let it vent out for 15 minutes they said no. The blonde girl with short hair was so rude, lied to me and then proceeded to act as if they didn't have to inform me and that I should have known. I was calm at first; however, when they started victimizing themselves and blaming me I was done. The other people were just telling them to let me do my test after letting my car vent out; however, those blonde girls wouldn't let me and then proceeded to charge me $45 to rebook after it was THEIR FAULT they didn't inform me about all the procedures. Don't go to this trashy place and get them taken down.

The workers were racist to my friend and the place was a complete ripoff. Do not go if you aren’t white and straight.

Feeling low as I have failed my G Test at this center today. I made a big mistake while taking left turn on the street, i remember i checked both side on the road while merging from a T shape road and don't know from where a red van came from right side, there was no collision still some gap was there for me to take a left turn but examiner told on the same moment I should have not take the left turn and should yield to the oncoming traffic. I did all other things like merging on highway, driving highway, exiting, parallels parking, roadside parking, 3 point turn but failed because of the above mistake. I will give the test again. I drove previous week from Toronto to Peterborough through 401 highway and returned conformable, but because of the above mistake I failed. Now I feel like I need to do more practice in city, street while making left, right etc.instead of concentrating too much on highway practice.

I'm giving 5 stars for this place. Best place to do your comercial truck lisence!
Never go one in Barrie.

The staff here are amazing and very nice.
I also had Gema when I did my AR lisence. I passed. There are couple things I could done better. And she would explained what happen.

She is amazing. I understand her very clearly most times and I'm heard of hearing. Usually it's hard for me to understand with mask on

Amazing, most of the people pass here. The route is easy, but atleast you need some confidence to drive and a polite examiner. Well at the end luck & fate plays a good role in driving test! Best of Luck ️

I’ve had a terrible experience with a racist examiner for my G test five years ago at a
Close by drive test.
It gave me trauma which I couldn’t over come, I was postponing the G test for the last five years,
Even considered moving back to my home country.
I was dreading the day of my road test. Even though I’ve so much driving experience, Being a victim of racism, took my confidence away.

Donna, You changed that.
You were very respectful, professional and courteous.
You didn’t purposely make my test harder. You didn’t discriminate my color or my ability.
In fact you did the opposite, you praised me, you made my experience with you very pleasant.
The five years of trauma, hurt, Low confidence, went away.

You are an example to all examiners who are rude and discriminatory.

The centre was following COVID protocols well and was providing pleasing experiences. Although there was a server shut down, people could take their tests within the booked time. Examiners were kind and friendly.
The fact that I visited Barrie centre a month ago, which was terrible, made me even more thankful about the services I got from this centre.

Me and my 3 friends have AZ test today and our instructor was so rude and behave very badly with us, she was such a racist,

My experience with this location was amazing compared to Oshawa (I failed my test in Oshawa within reason but the evaluator was very disrespectful) my evaluator at the Peterborough location was very kind and so was the rest of the staff I talked to. Overall my experience was great and I would recommend taking your driving test at this location.

I did my driving test in December.my examiner’s name was Kelly and I did not feel comfortable with her because she was rude.compared to my driving test experience at Oshawa location it was way better! As the guy that examined me was really really nice. I guess it depends on luck plus being polite, take it easy and respect the rules.

I have done both my G2 and G test here and both were great. Wait was not too long but longer than usual due to covid. Tester was great both times and the staff inside were as well. No complaints, service was top notch and they took the Covid 19 protocols very serious.

Extremely friendly staff, very encouraging when I was writing my g1. They offer accessable drive tests if you have disabilities. I have autism and were extremely accommodating of that! Highly recommended

I had a great experience at this place and I passed my G test at Peterborough Drive Test Center the day before yesterday. Everyone in that place is so neat when I went in to sign in for my test and got my ticket. I believe my examiner's name was Ashley. She is professional and polite, She was amazing at her job and explained all the instructions very well, she made me feel restful the moment she approached me in my vehicle. Other staff members at the front door and desk were also pleasant to deal with. Overall this place is a good location to take your exam! Great Service!

The town wasn't great for driving but the staff was amazing! It was very organized and was overall a great experience.

Amanda wasn’t friendly at all. We went for the test the other day, she came with a rude attitude and started reading the script from book without greeting or saying hello. She behaved like a robot the whole time.

We all invest lot of efforts and time to practice for the test. Everyone tries to do their best, Drive test people’s salary comes from taxes people pay. So customers needs a little respect. And if people like Amanda can’t do that, then I’m sorry to say they don’t deserve to represent the system.

Took my G test today. There was a 40 min delay for the test but examiners were really sensible and the staff were courteous. Glad that I Passed the test and chose Peterborough for my road test. Instructions were clear and precise. Thank you. This place deserves 5 stars.

I had my G test two days back and the instructor I got was soo rude (a fat guy). He was soo rude from the very beginning. Before even my test started he pushed the break soo hard in the parking lot saying I am blocking a guy from my left side who actually was waiting for me to go so that he can take my spot. And then he failed me saying I didn’t look behind while doing parallel parking. I had a very bad experience there.

I had my G2 drive test on 15 Oct 2020. I had my driving lessons from TDOT driving school and I would recommend you all to give it a chance. Especially Manu Mam. She is the best in this business. On the other hand, I had the examiner named Brook. She was so calm and even guided me at some points. I would like to thank her from bottom of my heart.

Passed my G test here. Although I waited over an hour for an instructor to come out, Amy (I think Amylynn) was suuuuper nice and friendly. Such a lovely person who really helped calm my nerves. I’m sure this job is very taxing but Amy didn’t show it one bit. From the start, she was super nice. Even if I would’ve failed I don’t think I would’ve been as upset as if it was with anyone else as she was very understanding and kindhearted. Luckily I passed though, so thank you Amy! Also, all of the ladies who assisted me in the process were very nice as well. Thank you ladies! I hope this messages gets passed on to them:)

Fat guy examniner needs customer service lessons. He doesn't know how to interact with nervous and first time test takers. It seems like he doesn't like his job and he is there just for paycheck.

The drive test staff was not co operative at all. First of all the parking lot was full and there was no space to park the car at the designated area they mentioned. The driver instructor came out dont know the name and saw the car and went in, instead of walking to the car and get on the road for the test, cause the lot was full and there was no space to park at the designated area and the instructor knew it too. Waited for an hour and half another instructor came out stating that you were not wearing the mask in car and she (amy driver instructor) had to delay the test the for another 20 minutes and went back laughing by humilating me in front of others knowing that she is being on her worst behavior. Just to clarify i removed the mask when i came out of the car for one minute and had it on all the time before talking to one of the instructors. Later one of the instructor named CHRIS came out to argue with me that you have to wear the mask all the time while he was not wearing the mask himself and was smoking cigarette with other people in the line who were wearing the mask and violating covid protocols himself that he was passing on to me. Maybe you can check cctv cameras to verify my statement if you have one installed. This behavior is completely ridiculous and if your staff is not willing to work and pay ever penny back by working hard and not following covid 19 protocols than maybe send them for vacation or ask them to leave. Even its not good at their part to instruct other regarding covid 19 protocols when they are the ones not following them. In whole i have to wait for 2 and half hour in total before i got on the road to give the test. Please book wisely and also the manager at the test center have your staff to be co operative and use common sense instead of arguing and making a scene

I wanted to give this location 10 Star. What an amazing staff the examiner I had was Emi and she was amazing I had my G test and passed in first try I live in Caledon and had to drive 153 km just to give my exam and would like to say 1000% worth it. I have had bad experiences specially in Brampton Drive test staff thinks they are some kind of boss and rude but I will always give my business to them (Peterbrough) I don’t mind driving 200Km because when u have to take a day off just for a test plus u pay 100$ for your test you expect the Staff to be friendly, Respectful and supporting and you will no doubt get the highest level of customer service here you won’t be disappointed I guarantee that. The Manager the staff that takes your temperature every single one of them knows the respect and I would urge people to try this location.
