They are running this place like a govt office in a third world country. They take your ticket and ask you to wait while they serve another person

Went in for a G1 and adding my foreign driving experience to the Canadian system.

In and out in 30 minutes. I went on a Tuesday in October around 2 pm.

Couple of things to note:

They may or may not confirm all information to you, and you may have to ask. For example, my friend got a pamphlet with the next steps and instructions and stuff. I didn’t. I had to go ask.

Don’t be rude. I don’t know what brings out the worst in people in places like these.

Don’t try to cheat the system. Please. It ruins the day for everyone. I saw someone cheat on the test. When they got caught they started to pretend they don’t speak English. I know this because I speak the language they were speaking. And I overheard them say as such to their friend out in the waiting room.

Please bring your documents and don’t try to plead to the staff. It’s written right there in the instructions on the website. The lady ahead of me fought so much with the member of the staff that I had to deal with a miffed person later JUST because the previous lady was being unreasonable.

Everything about this place is nuts. Customers are wandering about not knowing what they're supposed to do. When they ask questions, they get yelled at "go over there! ".

The employees don't seem to have any volume control and seem so angry. I definitely won't go back here when it's time to renew my license.

Too bad service, i had to come Down View drive test center to solve my problem. Never ever come here again

No lines for G1 writing exam, have seating area as well until it’s your turn. I went there around 11am and was out in a couple of hours.

Most of the bad reviews I read are prolly for the G2/G driving exam.

Very unprofessional drive center. I want to leave a zero star if I can. The examiner Sergio is a racist and they way he takes the mark off doesn’t make sense. He was trying to yelling at me, very rude

This rating is specifically for one examiner, Michelle. She was my first take and I unfortunately failed - she gave me constructive and professional feedback which I took as an opportunity to learn. My 2nd take was a rather bad experience - the examiner was quite rude, made unnecessary comments and made me feel more nervous than usual.my 3rd take was still Michelle - I was quite nervous but she was calm the whole time which made me feel better and I also passed! She is very professional! Thank you Michelle!

Staff very rude…. Staff guy didn’t waited for even 10 seconds before i show up to the counter and he told me get in line again to get ticket. I was looking for the counter where to go… and he didn’t even waited for half minute.

Please don't take your road test here. I regret that I didn't cancel my appointment after I saw the bad reviews of the place. Someone advised me that some examiners are nervous and moody. The person who examined me didn’t even give me a chance to drive on the road. He returned me back to the centre after 3 minutes. I didn’t get a chance to drive. I didn’t do anything except going out of the centre parking and return to it from the next entrance. It was a really bad experience!

If you’re looking to write the G1 knowledge test, make sure you come during your birth month! (Starting July 13 - July 18 those born in July to December) And the following week after that (those born in January to June) and it continues to rotate each week. Also, I suggest you line up around 6 AM! Once you get in and do the paperwork you’ll get an appointment to come back at a later time and will have to line up in a different area. Most of the appointments are delayed! I didn’t write my test until an hour and a half after my scheduled time! The overall process takes about 5-6 hours. They usually stop accepting applicants for the written test around noon! Like I said before, line up around 6 AM!

I witnessed many people that waited in line for hours just to be told they were unable to write the test.
I also witnessed the man working at the door be extremely disrespectful, yell and swear at other customers. I understand that working this job can be frustrating. However, you are a middle aged man, you need to be professional and maintain your composure.

The etobicoke center was way more quicker than mississauga one. The staff too were way more polite.

Went there on a Saturday. Arrived 30 min before opening time, and there already was a line. I was done in 2 hours.

The manger is absolutely useless and seems not to have received basic managerial training. After realizing I was doing sth based on what her employee had told me, she started yelling at me and saying they won't be serving me today since I was being rude. I was just trying to explain to her what i was expecting was what i was promised by an employee! Absolutely unprofessional. Will make an official complaint. Not that it changes anything.the entire driveTest chain is a total mess

There was a small line up with only 2 people working at the counter. They were very professional, helpful and nice despite being busy. Really appreciated their service, and passed my G1 first attempt.

VERY VERY VERY BAD EXPERIENCE. MALE INDIAN EXAMINER IS INCONSIDERATE VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. My girlfriend took her road test at this location, and he was her examiner! Her English is not very good and she was having trouble understanding him as his accent is also hard to understand. She did the exam with very little mistake, and failed her over slowing down on a construction zone

Went there around 6.45am on a Monday for the G1 written examination. There were around 12 people ahead of me, so had to wait around 20-25 mins outside before I entered the building. The process was fairly smooth though the officer took around 20 mins to complete my registration. There were some issue with the computer and the vision test equipment was not functioning properly, so it took some time for me. But for other people it took around 10 mins or so at the registration. If you have foreign driving experience, take the proofs with you and present them to the counter. Officer will check your identification documents and verify name and date of birth. After that I received a paper, directly went to the written test room. Test was faily straight forward as I came well prepared. You will see the result as soon as you complete the test. It is a computer based touch screen test. After the test, you need to go to another counter which is in the same room, and you will get the G1 in few mins time. Overall the process was smooth and I would recommend this place.

Got my g2 here everyone was very polite a nd helpful from the front desk clerk to the driver instructor himself, he also had a traini with him at the time he sat at the back and didn't make a sound so it wasn't distracting for me having him ride along. Can't wait to get my G from here next!

Come early to aviod huge line ups to do your test I was in line for 15 mins or so came at 7 in the morning I was out by 8: 00 line up wasn't too long I did my g1. An passed be sure to study!

I went on Thursday around 6.55am. 17 people were ahead of me. So you can plan to come here within 7.30 am. It will be great for you. No hassle. I appeared in G1 exam. I got 40/40 within 16 minutes. I left the place at 7.48am. Three counters were working smoothly

Terrible place. If you want to be treated like a animal, this is your go to place! Worst place i ever visited.

Went to give G1 all the way through Brampton, didn't want to spend entire day in lines thus chose this location, less crowded.

Went there at 8: 30 am, there were 25 ppl in line, went inside 10: 20, got done with test at 10: 40.

Process is super smooth, staff is decent.
Tip - Reach early around 6: 30-7pm and get done within 30 mins.

Only 1 or 2 staff members actually work and other just grab coffee and look at their phone, even if there is a big line. If they are in front that means they are not on break but still they don't act like they are.

Went to the Downsview centre before this. Was a completely different experience. I waited 3 hours there (outside in the cold, with no chairs or anything), only for someone to tell me to go home because they were closing and they didn't have enough people to serve us.
This centre was so much faster and efficient. I got in and finished my G1 test on the (many) computers they have there within an hour and a half. I didn't even go early in the morning. Went in around noon on Thursday, did my test, waited another hour to rewrite it, and was done at 2: 30.
Anyone who's writing their G1, I recommend this centre. You still have to wait outside in the cold but not for too long.

I arrived on a Tuesday at 7: 20am to get my G1. By 8: 35am I was finished. Everyone was nice and efficient too. Highly recommend this location

Terribly slow service. They only have 2 people working behind the counter… on top of that! The employees talk to you like an animal. Highly do NOT recommend!

The lady inside the test room was very very rude. She didnt let me give 2nd attempt. She threaten me and was almost shouting at me. I visited there today November 12th, 2021 at 3: 00pm there. There was a guy who was there just 5 mins before me and he was given second chance to do it. When i asked her why she is not letting me do it she started saying oh there are people standing outside and was saying its saturday over and over.

Hello Drive Test, I hope you u all doing well with your G2 and G road test. I have a concert about your employee, Today my mother was giving her G road test. One of your instructor was telling her in the middle of the road test "SAVE SAVE SAVE" and one more "IN ONE SIGNAL THE LIGHT WAS GREEN AND THE INSTRUCTOR SAID U CAN NOT DO THAT.

I went here to exchange my US license. Had to go twice as 1st time my USA license didn't show up in their records. Lady told, we will call you next day but didn't give any. I thought to give try and went by myself. It was same situation but by seeing original license and driving record, they approved it. I had good experience of people at this center. Try to go early and non peak hours.

Worst place ever! Rude and unhelpful staff.don't ever go after 4pm on a Saturday. They won't go a minute after closing time. Instead they'll turn you away 5 mins early.

I came here on 3rd Sept to get my G1. I waited in line for 2 hours. Got in, took a token, reached the counter, completed the formalities, gave my test, failed the rules section, realized I forgot to get my license and experience letter from India, and returned home.

I returned on the 4th to redo the rules section and carried the documents I'd forgotten before. I passed the section and gave my documents at the counter. The lady said that it's 5 to 5 on a Saturday and they're closing. So, I should return next week.

I went back today and they didn't accept my letter because it's not an original. The man said he's done arguing with me and asked me to come back with the right documents. I traveled for 1.5hrs and waited in line for an hour to hear this.

Would it have killed the lady to take an extra minute and tell me that they won't accept the letter? That it's not the required format. She made me take a trip back to the blasted place, so I could wait in line for an hour, just to be turned away? These people lack basic human decency and don't give a f*** about other people's time.

I had a great experience here. I came to sit for G1 on Saturday. It opens around 8: 30 am on weekends. Reached there at 7 am. At around 9 am i sat for the exam. Service was given promptly so the line was moving quickly. I would recommend this place for G1.

I did my G test here and I was surprised that they have a nice parking lot (unlike Port Union). The examiner was so pleasant which helped me pass the test because as you probably know these tests can be stressful and some examiners try to intimidate you. He also allowed a dash cam facing the road even though I didn’t turn it on which is interesting because the last examiner told me I couldn’t have it on at all. That obviously goes to show that they aren’t going to trick you or fail you for ridiculous reasons (which seems to be a common occurrence). I don’t remember the examiner’s name but he was a tall guy. Also FYI you cannot practice with the cones during the centre business hours.

One examiner asked to do parallel parking right away in parking lot, not even drove 20 m yet. He tried to fail the people with any reason. His initial was De 797 (Indian originally). My wife failed G as an awful result.

Avoid this location to do your G2 or G driving test. There is one instructor that is just looking for reasons to fail you. I'm an experienced driver and took my time to prepare for my test. The examiner gave me wrong instructions a couple of times and was very keen to look for failures rather than strengths. Go to other centers to do your test as Etobicoke has a high failure rate as a result of that examiner.

非常坑的一个路考中心，考G牌遇到一个二十多岁的印裔考官。整个过程要求我在路上左右来回变线十多次，在高速公路上来回变线五六次。限速60的路我跑50以上说我太慢，早上上班时间高速公路上车非常多，我跟着前面的车跑85-90，他非说我跑得慢，难道我跑100撞前面的车么？到了一个十字路口要求我拐右，当时是绿灯。但是人行道上有行人在过马路，我等到行人走到马路对面我再开始转弯，他居然指责我为什么绿灯那么久还不转弯？我告诉他行人在人行道上，他和我说行人已经过了路中心不妨碍我转弯！我难道错了么？到最后我还看到他给我的评分里扣了我很多根本就不存在的错误点。大家想一下，如果我开车技术那么差，他敢在高速公路上让我不停变换车道五六次么（甚至在马上要转出高速前还在要求我左右变道）。为了骗我的考试费用真是拼了命了！提醒大家千万别去这个考场考试！非常非常垃圾！在经历了这次不愉快的经历后，我去另一个路考中心报名考试。因为流行病驾驶考试很难安排。分别于2021年7月15日和2021年9月9日在Lindsay和Oshawa的路测中心预约G2和G。我两次驾驶考试都考得很好。所以我建议你慎重选择路试中心。因为一些路考中心的审查员的素质真的很差。
In a very poor road test center, I encountered an Indian examiner who was in his twenties when I took the G card test. The whole process required me to change lanes back and forth more than ten times on the road, and five or six times on the expressway. On the road with a speed limit of 60, I ran above 50 and said I was too slow. There were a lot of cars on the highway during work hours in the morning. I ran 85-90 with the car in front. He insisted that I ran slowly. Did I run 100 and hit the car ahead What? At a crossroad, I was asked to turn right, and it was a green light. But there was a pedestrian crossing the road on the sidewalk. I waited until the pedestrian walked to the other side of the road before I started turning. He actually accused me of not turning after the green light for so long? I told him that the pedestrian was on the sidewalk, and he told me that the pedestrian had already crossed the center of the road and did not prevent me from turning! Am I wrong? In the end, I saw that he had deducted many mistakes that didn't exist. Think about it, if my driving skills are so bad, would he dare to make me change lanes five or six times on the highway (even before I turn out of the highway, he still asks me to change lanes left and right). He really tried his best to lie to my exam fees! Remind everyone not to take the exam in this exam room! Very very rubbish! After this unpleasant experience, I went to another road test center to register for the test. Because of the epidemic. The driving test is very difficult to arrange. Make an appointment for G2 and G on July 15,2021 and September 9,2021 at Lindsay and Oshawa's road test Center respectively. I passed both my driving tests with flying colors. So I suggest you choose the road test center carefully. Because the quality of examiners in some road test centers is really not good.

The examiner just find any reason to fail you, like asking you to switch lanes twice on 427 full of traffic and in a short distance. Then, in that situation, you will fail because of speed either too slow or too fast.

I took my G license test today in this location.
The examiner was completely rude and exhausted since he got in the car and that made me uncomfortable, by the way he was an older guy with glasses and a bit short.

When my driving test started, he was a bit yelling and saying (please turn left, turn right) which I did it perfectly but his action was completely unprofessional.

Moreover, when we were about to merge (highway 427 North) which it had a (100 meters merging space), I had to accelerate and there was a big long truck on my left when I was about to merge. So, what I did was to slow down a bit in the merging lane and wait for the truck to pass over me so it will be much safer and I won't hit the truck (because that truck didn't give me any space to merge). So, if you're the student driver, would you rather hit that truck and hit the merging gutter or just slow down your car a bit? Ofcourse, I would slow down my car down a bit to avoid collision and wait the truck to pass me to have space.

From that moment, he started yelling at me and telling me "it's too dangerous" to slow down but I get that because I don't want to hit the truck on the merging lane and I am just being safe and cautious.

Regardless to all what happened, the rest was I did everything right however he failed me for the test because of that reason. After he explained everything, he slammed my car door and left.

Please don't take your G road test in this location, I am assuming that they will come up with something just to fail your G road test.

Please don't waste your time and money here!

I can never reach the people working there through the phone and the site is so vague. They also cancelled my test without even notifying me and now I can’t book another one. The only nice thing about them is that Jennifer from the Etobicoke location was kind to me when I finally passed my G1 test.

11AM on a Monday, virtually no line, in-and-out inside a half hour. Everyone was very pleasant.

Good location to do your G1 Test, staff was nice and helpful and directed me in following instructions the right way. Even though, the actually G1 test was kinda hard because I did the practice online tests and some of the questions weren’t even on the actual test itself which is weird but other than that it’s a good place to do your driving and written tests.

No lines! I came 6: 40 to take the line and its 7: 40 now and we are inly 4 people, i once went to North york drive test and arrived by 7: 30 there were almost 100 person in line if not more

Examiners verbally attacked my instructor. Coming from NYC, I never ever had such a terrible experience. It was just shocking. People who work there are immature emotionally unstable individuals.

Well it depends on day to day also, weekend it is almost full, but i went there on monday and there wer only 4 people in line and it took 5 minutes me to get the number and in next 5 minutes i went through eye sight examination and payment formality and went directly to exam.i was fully prepared and it took me 8 minutes to get all questions correct and got 40/40 answers correct.then nxt 5 minutes i got temporary licence.and left the place in 20 minutes.so for me experience was good.if you go on weekend when there is rush, it will definately take your unexpected hours.gud luck to all.stay happy.

If it is your first time and you are going directly for G it’s better if you find another center. I don’t want to generilize but my officer was so angry and he faild me just because of a minor mistake which my instructor couldn’t accept it as a reason for failing!
There is a school zone and you should be really careful about speed limit and line change.
And also it’s hard to get G without doing G2. They won’t accept you usually.

The negative reviews here are right. They make people wait in line out in the cold even when there is space inside. Also the G examiner I got (youngish asian guy) was cold and insensitive, like a robot. This place needs to start treating people like human beings!

Worst place to take your exam! I waited for more than 2 hours to take my G test and I went inside to ask what’s going on? The lady at the front just said you just missed I said who wouldn’t asked if your waiting for a long period of time? And she said they are behind of their schedule. Now the person who takes the exam will suffer. They will boot someone out so that after they will be on time.

You need to post something and let the tester know they will have to wait longer because your behind you schedule! Worst day!

I went there today. I was well prepared after having read other people's reviews.
There are two points I want to mention:
1. The line. When I went there on Wednesday at 12: 45 pm, there was no line at all!
2. The service. The help desk lady was very nice. One of the women who take the photo and do the registrations were a little bit rude. But I believe that they are also nice people, so I just kept being polite with her, and she responded in a nicer way afterwards. I also have worked as a customer service agent, and I do know how it is hard to deal with hundreds of people from all walks of life.
I will give this place a 5 star for now, I was prepared to spend 4 hours in there. But I spent only 25 minutes in there to pass the G1 test and get my licence.

The employees were unfriendly, and unpleasant. They lack of accountability and information. I had to come two times and each time I stayed there for like 4 hours with no result due to incorrect information had been given to me by one of them employee.

I booked my test weeks in advance only to get to the centre to be told it was booked in a competely different city.the desk clerk was super understanding and helpful asking if I wanted to rebook or be put on standby.so I took a chance with standby and got to take my G test 2 hours later, passing (YAY!) with a congratulations and 'VERY good' comment from the instructor.the people inside were also super nice in congratulating me on earning my G liscence too.

HOWEVER, I can take a guess at a good number of the folks that are down voting this place; ppl that expect same day road test without looking info online first that u need to pre-book it, ppl tired of waiting in line behind person after person that get up to the counter and seem to ask a same or similar question over and over and still somehow seem to not understand (or maybe not like) the answer they get, and of course ppl that might have failed their test or were late, etc, etc.also saw a lot of ppl in the numbered test waiting lot that were terrible drivers, knocking into the parallel parking pylons, going nearly SIDEWAYS into some of the spots and having to not only readjust, but get out and have someone ELSE finish parking for them. AND also almost getting hit TWICE (where I had to honk to get the drivers attention) just sitting parked and waiting to begin the test; the worst was ONE of those drivers that almost slammed into the back of my car in the parking lot seemed to have actually passed their test afterwards (saw them later with the blueish printout paper u get when u pass) which I couldn't believe tbh, tho maybe he just got lucky who knows.

The centre is good if ur there prepared and know what u need and/or have ur bookings done well in advance.the lineups are long a good part because of ppl asking a lot of questions that COULD be answered by just calling the MTO instead, and/or ppl taking forever to put all their notes and papers together still in front of the clerk after they're finished at the counter, instead of just moving over a couple of steps to organize themselves elsewhere, and letting the next person pass.either way, good luck on ur tests everyone -AND PLEASE ENROLL IN A GOVERNMENT APPROVED REPUTABLE DRIVING SCHOOL IF U HAVEN'T ALREADY! Driving school really SHOULD be mandatory. & this place could be a great example of that.

EDIT: I was thinking about it afterwards, and decided to lower my rating from a 5 to a 4, ONLY because of that one dude that almost slammed into my car that [looked like he]still ended up passing. -we have more than enough horrible drivers on the road, ESPECIALLY in Toronto (again, because passing a government-approved driving school course BEFORE being able to EARN a G2/G license, shud be MANDATORY [at least]in Ontario), that it makes no sense there isn't at least ONE INSTRUCTOR THAT STAYS IN THE WAITING LOT AT ALL TIMES to watch for & automatically FAIL these dangerous drivers; the same 'drivers' that may just get lucky DURING the test, and then run down an entire family in the next 5 minutes after leaving the centre.

I have no idea why there are so many bad reviews. I went in to get my G test and from the moment I walked in everyone was helpful. It was a little confusing but I only had to wait in a short line to get help. The driving tester was very kind and polite. The directions were extremely clear. If someone didnt pass its probably because they disregarded the rules of the road or simply didnt have the skills. Best place to get a license. Would highly recommend

The LADY at the front desk, she was sooooo rude to their customers and had a terrible terrible attitude. I think they simply do not care about the people who come here. God bless them all!

G2 test in July first road test in Canada my exam person was a short height Chinese or Asian Canadian man with some grey hair on his head he is very rude and cold and he yell at me for making small mistake on my test he is like a dog barking loud and he also touched around the buttons of the test car without asking first.very rude horrible behavior from this man.i dont kow his name but make sure you never take G2 or G road test at this center.the road test people are like robot with no feelings or shame.

Staff is EXTREMELY RUDE! I’m at this Drive Test Center right now. The staff is extremely rude and unpleasant to speak with! Avoid this center if you can! I spoke to 2 ladies and they’re both sooo rude! My cousin is new to the country and I accompanied him to this center. He had a couple questions, but the staff here was rude and expected him to have known all the rules in Ontario. I went there on a Saturday morning, at 830 am we went in and then an employee or manager by the name of Anna rudely told us we need to wait back outside until she comes out and gets us we obviously didn’t know this and we told her it’s cold outside and she claim she can’t control Mother Nature. 30 seconds later she comes out and told us we have to wait in a line outside and only 9 people can come in at a time, for whoever is doing their G1 test. Everyone was complaining but she didn’t care, she made snide and rude remarks to people when they voiced their concerns. It is protocol for Saturday mornings. The only reason why I gave them 2 stars because someone else helped me another agent and she was such a sweetheart I wish I wouldve gotten her name. Anyways horrible location, the employee Anna is extrelmy rude. And I won’t be going back there or recommending it.

I hadn't good experience here they kept me waiting for 20 min after the estimated time, and the weather was rainy like cat and dog. As a result, the traffic was slow, but the officer expected of me to merge in the highway in 100Km that wasn't safe in the slippy road to push the gas pedal in Torn road I arrived in 80km. The officer failed me just for this situation, and it was my third time that I made this exam. Honestly, I have been driving about 15 years. I know the robs but it seems this driving test system is just looking for applicants registration fee. I'm exhausted, and I wouldn't register again because I don't have money to give them.

First they make people who want to write a test wait outside in the cold. Veryyyyyy rude staff especially the lady who works at the help centre. She has a terrible attitude and not willing to help. Although it’s her job to answer people’s questions, she makes you feel stupid for asking. I would give them no stars at all if i could.

Someone mentioned that language barrier could cause a miscommunication! But isn’t having a rude tone of voice and an aggressive attitude from the beginning is a universal language? And making people wait for 45 mins in the cold without giving them a clue has nothing to do with language barrier.this place is a disaster

I had bad experience in this location few days ago.
I had two drive texts and they failed me for nothing. I lost time and money in the same time. Avoid this place, it is just exploitation and robbery because they are rude and not professional.

If you have an appointment time scheduled for a road test, it does not matter. You will end up waiting in your car for over an hour.

I received an examiner (G2 exit test to obtain full G), who verbally harassed me, and yelled at me for trying to be safe. When I explained the situation, which he clearly failed to observe, he refused to believe me and called me a liar. At the end of the exam he continued to berate me, and brought up personal matters to insult me further. I was so upset I couldn't even speak afterwards.

I flew home and paid for a rental car to take a $90 exam I was very confident in. Guess I'll be spending another $500 next month.

Only come here if it is your last option. It's a horrid place.

Worst drive test center ever, I don't understand why the center isn't fair, productive, & is in of fair good staff! The examiner will fail you if you do not drive fast during rush hours and even if there are cars in front of you driving slower than the limit. Examiner will definitely fail you even if you did everything right! There's one obese brown examiner with glasses who is absolutely unreasonable given the road conditions. I hope he loses his license. He's unfair & unjustified & worst of all you can't do anything about it! This center is in significant need of having examiners supervised! They do as they please. He failed me for driving at 40kmh at 50kmh roads during RUSH HOUR! At the end of the test he said "You were driving at 39 kmph at 50kmph" I did everything else right! If you want to save your money & waiting period. DO NOT BOOK YOUR TEST HERE.

So I came here on a Saturday to get my G1, tip: come EARLY in the morning like before they open because there is a line that starts at the front to all the way around the side of the building. The test was super easy, took my time I wrote it and passed on the first go. The lady who assisted me was quiet and straight forward but nonetheless very nice. I spent 2 hours here since they opened and was out by 10am. I don't understand why people say that they're rude. Just come prepared with everything that you have, make sure you have everything the night before and it's fine.
