We should not have to provide our own vehicle. People with g1 can't even have there own car until they get there g2

The experience was not encouraging.
It is open from 8: 30 am till 5: 0 pm.
The ladies weren't helpful, and no proper feedback was given to applicants.
In the contrary, there were two gentlemen supporting and communicating properly with applicants.
If you intend to visit this drive test centre, then try to get more than one ticket in order to be able to meet the gentlemen.

The set of workers here are being racist. I have gone there twice and they keep rejecting my g2 license test application. Claiming my previous document is not up to the standard

After my experience today and 6 other bad experiences. I will be going to Belleville to complete my road test. The staff attitudes stink!

Too manu too general questions that have nothing to do with the contents of the books available in the market. Questions related to when you can turn on the lights or motorcycle riding related questions have no place at a G1 test

Easy to maneuvre online system for booking my G test, and signing in was a breeze. Brandon was my instructor and was great at easing any anxiety during the testing. Very friendly and professional experience both with my instructor and at the service desk!

The WORST ONE in Ontario. Please don’t go here else go in any other city. Because they don’t know a thing here and they want that Indian Government work according to them. I have visited here 3 times and not a single time they have done my work. They also need something more and that’s not even a legal requirement. Instead go to smith fall or any other. They don’t won’t to work and so they always ask for some nonsense documents. I even know that they are not going to change but just to help you guys and saving your time!

HUGE MISTAKE! 0 STARS! Licenced for 17 years, I went into drive test they didn’t accept my current provincial licence from AB, my marriage certificate and passport. I called Service Ontario and they said the drive test SHOULD have accepted these documents to have them call head office. They are just contractors with a stick up their rears. Power trip much! They wanted more documents which doesn’t make sense.give me a break, I called! Customer service with 2 different reps at this place and both were down right rude and dismissive. Service ontario is much better than these people especially with service however in Kingston they don’t do the license portion, how sad!
This centre should be closed down. Garbage!

If you do not mind wasting your money to practice multiple times (at least >2) then receive their extremely strict feedback for failing you “did not check mirrors frequently” (which you did, but not every 30 seconds) “did not reach 100 km/h on the highway” (which you keep speed between 95 to 100, but that’s not enough, was told can go over but not below 100…). That’s definitely a excellent place to go.

Just took my daughter to do her written test. Professional staff, clean office. What a great place. Our tax dollars hard at work!

The manager is very professional. Don't let the blonde troglodyte behind the counter swear or cuss at you this is a government site they are not aloud too treat u in a disrespect full manner. Took her picture down, Because the manager handled him self very respectfully.

Did my G road test here, very clean and spacious building. Very friendly staff, road test itself took under 30min. Instructor was very friendly and gave me directions well in advance. I would recommend going here to anyone!

Horrible service at call centre. Tried to book a road test for over an hour, and the system kept kicking me out. Then spoke to a number of staff to try and book it, but they insisted that I call back in 20 minutes after being on the phone with them for 20 minutes, because their system wasn’t responding and allowing them to book the appointment. Spoke to supervisor (Trudi) /manager Desiree about frustrations. They are all very rude and unprofessional. Her response was to call back in 20-40 minutes as she wasn’t going to hold up the line for her staff. So bottom line, after two hours of trying to book a road test, I call back and spoke with Mohsin, who was so rude. I was trying to verify if my info that I provided previously was on the system and he was very wishy washy in his responses. I asked if he could send the booking time to me via email that was on file. He said that he didn’t have it, but somehow had everything else. Then when I provided it, he said that he just needed to verify it. I told him to change his tone as he was being rude, so he says that I was being rude. I told him that I hoped that the call was being recorded as I wanted to file a complaint with his supervisor. He said that it was. I then called to make a complaint but the manager was now gone for the day and supervisor went on lunch break. I was told to call back in an hour to connect with her. I have decided to leave this review to warn you about the lack of quality of service and customer care.

These instructors don't understand we have to keep paying to retest when they failing us for literally nothing failing us for simply driving correct but to their standards its not even good enough I shouldn't have failed twice for not looking around (enough) and one for looking around too much, judge my driving not me moving my head around and on top of that their more likely to judge your skin on god that's how I feel

Waste of money, examiner will fail you for even the slightest mistake just so they do not pass too many people. Been here twice and failed both times for “not checking my mirrors every five seconds. ” There’s a reason this is the only location with spots open at the moment. Do not go here!

Went here to exchange an out-of-province license, staff have always been helpful, understanding and polite.when I was unsure of something, the staff would explain it kindly and advise me accordingly.

I have been there 5 times to change my license and every time the system is down, printer issues, camera problems…. Does anyone actually work and do anything there. I think one star is too many!

Horrible staff. Can't even consider a genuine emergency for being 10 mins late to the test. Ended up losing 100 bucks. Avoid if possible.

Took 1.5 years to rescheduled a cancelled test. Proceeded to then force a reschedule for 5 minutes late when they were not even on time. Very poor staff and extremely rude and disrespectful.

Great place to give your Driving exam! Examiner will ask you to relax & chit chat just to make you comfortable.

Dec. 1st been so.good to me coz I passed my G-test after 4th try. I took my 1st, 2nd, and 3rd at Orangeville and both failed. I was so nervous and my anxiety level was so high.plus the examiner at that location was so rude, and very unprofessional. That is why I decided that my 4th try I need to take it to somewhere far, even if I drove 3 hours that is okay.and gladly I did coz here at Kingston location I found out that not all examiners are mean. Shout out to Mr. Ric, he was my examiner and he give me the best experience that I never had in driving. He's very calm, soft spoken, and directions are very clear. Very professional, and treated me like human being. That is why my nervousness was gone, and it was easy.passed with flying colors and I was so happy. Mr. Ric if you ever read this. Thank you once again and you're the best! You should be the teacher for those examiners, that doesn't treat newly drivers with respect. Hope that all of the examiners are like you, you have no idea how that make the new driver calm and confident. Coz I believe that no matter how good and confident you are but if your examiner is mean, you will lost it.

My first G roadtest i had a lady (didnt catch her name but her employee number is 281) she wasn't very friendly, she didnt go over anything before starting, gave instructions late, and hardly said a word the whole time, she also took away marks for things that didnt make sense (like not acknowledging a hazard, when we were on an empty street) the reason im still giving 2 stars instead of 1 is because the 2nd time i went instructor rick was very friendly, talked me through everything and gave lots of time to prepare for upcoming directions and the screener lady has been incredibly kind both times.

I just had my g2 test yesterday and passed! Driving there it felt like any old day. As soon as I pulled in the anxiety started and waiting in that car for the person to come test me I was so anxious and scared. From the second Rick got into the car everything changed. He was so kind and comforting. Kept me talking to keep me distracted from the anxiety. Gave so many helpful tips & even cracked a few jokes. If you go to this centre and you see him walking to your car - pass OR fail it’s going to be alright. & Rick if you do read this, THANK YOU for everything you did to help me relax and stay focused on achieving this goal.

I drove from 2 hours away to take a G road test (I have been driving for 8-9 years. I made the mistake of letting my G2 expire before so I took the G test late). So as the process begins, you have to register inside and they tell you that you MUST IMMEDIATELY take your slip and wait in the car for your instructor with your MASK ON. Lady inside told me if the instructor comes and your mask is not on they will cancel the test. So I rush to my car and wait. The instructor was 15-20 minutes late. He came and brought a trainee with him. He said do you mind if she joins? I said there is no room in the back and he says she will move it. The trainee just pushed my stuff to the side and sits in here with us, how rude. I did not think that it's good covid protocols as I was told to wait with my mask on in my own vehicle alone. The test started, I was turning my head and looking in all directions when making lane changes and when merging. The instructor at the end told me I did not pass and I do not meet the industry standards. Also he said it is because I DID NOT LOOK AROUND ENOUGH. I have heard the employees here may discriminate and being a person of color I must say that is how I felt. They failed me for no reason, Horrible customer service and the ladies inside seemed to hate their job. Do not book here! It is not safe to look at our mirrors more than the road. No one looks around like that when driving, if they do they are complete psychos but I still overdid it for the test. Apparently that was not enough. These cavemen practices should be updated at some time!

I came in for my G test. The woman at the window named Robin was exstremly rude. I witnessed her being rude to 2 other customers. I passed both my G lience and my M1 and I would highly recommend going to any other drive test center or do not go to her counter. She turned a great day I was having into a terrible one, if I could give this woman personally 0 stars I would.

This was the best Drivetest I've been in Ontario. I went in from Toronto to get my G license - they were the only one that had a spot before January 2022 - and I'm so glad I did that. The staff was all incredibly nice and always super helpful, the lines were very short and always a very reasonable wait time. All Covid protocols were being followed at all times, both in the centre and during the G drive test. Brandon, my examiner was very sweet, always calm and courteous and making me feel very comfortable on the test. He was always patient throughout the test, and was super nice when reviewing my scores and checking on what I could improve with me after the test. Over all a really great experience, and I'm glad I came over for this test!

Good experience! Melanie was very helpful and gave clear explanations, also no lineup! If you are foreign you just need a passport to take your driver's test. I am going for my G1!

They are not keeping their word, once’s they told such and such when we are coming for it they will change their word, Loosing all the hope and time cash. Thanks you so much for not keeping word

Went here for my G1 and G2 testing. Super nice and helpful staff. Very simple test and road test. Currently trying to book my G and the website says that every single day is booked up for the next 4 years which although covid has had an impact seems unlikely. Tried to call and speak to someone since the automated system also says nothing is available and it’s says that there is no one available to take the call, this happened 4 times throughout the day. There is no direct number to call and speak with someone at the test centre just the generic 1888 number which is no help. I will need to make a trip in person I suppose to speak with someone for help with this issue, this measure seems extra and unnecessary. Would rate much higher if there was a direct number, or the 1888 number was actually able to connect me to a worker to inquire about my issue.

I had such an amazing experience today at this drive test centre! It was a fast test and also very good service. I came here to do my G2 test and I had Brittney as my examiner who was extremely kind and very straightforward! Everyone in the drive test centre is super friendly and kind and I didn't feel unwanted like many other drive test centres make you feel. Thank you so much for everything:)

Terrible, and absolutely rude woman behind the counter (with glasses). She would constantly alter my words, alter my actions. She would get very upset with people so easily, barely gives anyone time to think or do anything and then gets mad at them for not going faster. The other staff were great. But the one star rating goes to the one staff member no one likes.

Awful experience with staff. Drove 4 hours to get my G license and had a small bulb out on the way. I was told I had until 1pm to fix the bulb and got there exactly at 1. They still turned me away despite telling me I had the extra time. Staff was extremely rude, yelled at me while I remained calm and explained my situation. Refused my ask to talk to a manager as well. Extremely terrible place, don’t waste your time going here.

I had heard reviews about Sarah before even taking the test. So there I am waiting for my instructor as I see a blonde woman walk up to my car. “Hey how’s it going I said”.
“Good”. - the woman said
Isn’t the weather nice today? Said the fabulous man typing.
She then proceeded to ignore me. I knew that exact moment I had failed.
Terrible experience, I felt the sexism through her unbearable levels of covid protection probably even stopping her from her visioning my g2 certificate.
Beware of blonde Sarah, she hates white men

I had Sarah as my instructor today. I passed my test. She was very professional, clear, and respectfully quiet during my G2 test. Many have remarked on the fact that she isn’t chatty, but I understand why. Her job is to test you on your driving skills, your observational skills, and your ability focus; not your social skills. If she socialized with every person, she may not notice as many mistakes, but also most people would have difficulty concentrating during the test.

Brandon and the other gentleman greeting people at the Driving Centre door were very, very kind and helpful.

I don't know why the grades are bad, but I'm satisfied.

I have passed my az road test recently from here. Examiner and staff is very good. They are very polite and cooperative.

My wife had a Full G test and failed because of slowing down behind a car which was seemed to head left into the Tim Horton (at the beginning of Sydenham road). This car was the second one of two cars but it WAS'NT completely in the ramp (half in the main traffic) with NO left signal. My wife thought it may want to go straight and they may hit each other if she proceeds. She proceeded after the examiner prompted her to do so, but by crossing the right lanes and merging to the right ramp. Everything else was fine and perfect (exact quote from the female examiner) but failed. It was a very unexpected situation and result. We got the test printed result. The report says: failed because of a dangerous stop (although it was not a full stop). Our complaint did not work with the manager afterward although he had a good ear and mentioned if he had been there, he would probably have ignored this issue. The decision had been made by Sarah, although not fair. The manager was even surprised since everything else was perfect. This one star is only for him.

Not bad to mention, my wife skipped the G2 and legally was eligible to do a Full G test because of having 10 years of good driving record in our country. With the tight schedule during this pandemic, we feel it was not fair after 8 months of waiting. We wish she had a few mistakes; at least we would be more satisfied with this unfair decision which we highly believe arises from a personal judgement. She needs to wait a few other months to do the G2 test. And from the Drivetest perspective, why not to get 150$ (G2+Full G test fees) because of personal judgement? ! And we are a student, not a small fee.
Be perfect; don't expect to pass for having one mistake or being below a certain point limit. Explain if any controversial circumstances happen since she fails you very easily.

I went to do my G2 road test and did perfect on everything but they automatically failed me because THEY ASKED ME to do an illegal manoeuvre (block and parallel park horizontally in front of someone's driveway. Plus I had to park behind the car in front of me but then horizontal with the car that was parked horizontally in the driveway) and when I did it I got failed for it. Then when I was done I took pictures of where they asked me to park and my dad when in to talk to the manager and he flat out called me and my dad a liar. Like what did we do stage the whole thing? P.s I wouldn't be upset if I fail just because I wasn't good enough but they failed me because I did something they asked me to do. My driving school instructor even said that what they asked me to do was illegal

Avoid this place like the plague! I did my G2 test here a couple of years ago. When pulling up to a 4 way stop the instructor asked me to turn left. After I came to a stop and was told to turn, a school bus pulled up and began letting students off on the street I was supposed to turn onto (not far from the intersection). I completed the turn as instructed and was told it was an automatic fail because I turned towards an unloading school bus. The test rules state that you cant be instructed to do things that break the law however, this instructor did. I was 17 at the time and didn't argue but I should have spoken to the manager. 10 days later I retook my test in Brockville and passed with flying colours the instructor there even asked how it was possible I failed the first time. Do not go here! I am taking my G test today and will be going to Brockville again.

I did not experience any problems. Was really worried going here, but desk staff were friendly and the examiner, Dillon I think, was friendly, professional and good. I passed my G2, so I am happy. That being said, when I told my driving instructor about my examiner, she commented that he must be from another location visiting and is not from Kingston DriveTest location.

I faced the horrible and unprofessional staffs over there today. Specially, Christy is the worse one. She is a mad lady! Never use their services. Use Gananoque, Belleville or Brockville instead. You will be more happier.

Be prepared to do your test twice and pay for it both times. They seem to fail everyone on their first try. It's a huge money grab. Also, don't bother doing your test if you get Sarah as your instructor. She fails everyone and failed me for "not looking around enough" seriously don't bother driving with her. This place is an overall joke and if I could give them zero stars I would.

Dread going here.only needed to go here to get my license. Thank goodness it’s not seen from the road. Would get the shivers every-time I saw it. Sometimes the staff is nice but others can be extremely rude.

Goodluck trying to get ahold of an agent. You'll go through an automated system for about 10 minutes, finally get the transfer and nobody will pick up. Why drivers licenses are done by a 3rd party. Who knows.

Very good customer experience. I recently did the written test, and the field test. I passed the two of them. Examiner was professional and gave me points to improve on.

I read the negative reviews here, the majority of them are upset people because they failed. They don't have to pass you if you've made an important mistake.

Very horrible service. Son went to do driving test. Told his break lights were out. Went to machanic they said nothing is wrong. So paid almist $100 for test then $60 to machanic to say nothing wrong. No phone number for drive center and to top it off couldnt talk to manager because he was out and still have to pay half price for the next test which will be impossible to book as he will be in school. Things have definitely gone down hill.

I went in for license exchange. Was worried due to all the negative reviews. However, went in around noon & wait time was very short. The staff-I think Royce was her name-was efficient and friendly.

Staff showed no interest. It’s exciting moment in a persons life and they give the attitude that they don’t care.

Such a terribly flawed system and place.had a test booked for the 19th of july and wanted to reschedule as i was out of province.called in on the 16th, 17th and the 18th (a total of 7 times entering in my drivers licence number, phone number, etc.listening to that annoying mans voice, and waiting 25-45 minutes for someone to answer) just to be hung up on each time without getting through to anyone.i tried to do it online and it said i had to speak to someone or go into drive test because i’ve cancelled in the last 6 months (i didn’t cancel i rescheduled for the 19th). Today, July 18th, i finally got through to someone and she told me that she nor her supervisor would be able to refund the $89 that somehow turned into a $92 disposit. I am a university student and struggling as it is, i can’t afford to have almost $100 taken for no reason when i tried my hardest to reschedule it before the 48 hours, especially when it wasn’t even my fault.this place should be ashamed of themselves that they’re making their money off of young, struggling individuals.

Horrible customer treatment at the desk and literally snaps at their customers. I did not feel comfortable being in the same car as this old lady examiner and even no matter how many times I've told them that I do have experience in the highway both 400 series and 80km/h considering that's what I do in the military except not in the past 3 months since I have been away on exercises, still "failed" me and even had the nerve to snap at me instead of telling me nicely that that was a rule. Never coming back again. All they want here is your money.

Been trying all day to book drivers test but keep getting told technical difficulties, doesn't anyone know how to answer a bloody phone anymore? Seriously sick to death of dealing with automation.

Worst drive test place ever. I haven’t given my test yet its been 1 hour waiting and they want me to wait 30 more minutes only because of their malfunctioning machine or whatever. I guess that is why they only have a 1.9 rating. I hope there was no star I could give them.

The blonde lady is a very nasty driving examiner. Treated me like I was just her job, not an actual human. Stressed me out even more for my G2 road test. Had terrible reasons for failing me. If I could rate 0 I would.

Four people told me four different things, in regards to an "Out of province" license exchange and "experience credit". One would think I tried exchanging my license from Turkmenistan, not another Canadian province. On top of that some of them (not all) were extremely rude. Wait times are also insane. I've been to emergency rooms that took less time. Avoid this place if you can.

Staff make no effort to make you feel comfortable during the actual road test. The written test is what keeps me from putting down a one.

Extremely cold, rude, and unprofessional behaviour and etiquette on behalf of the blonde woman, Sarah. It does not take much to introduce yourself and make your customers comfortable before driving. I’ve heard from multiple people she is a serial failer.and this experience has put me off of doing another road test. At least until I know I will not be in a vehicle with Sarah again.

Very nasty g2 examiner, I started having a panic attack and I calm down by talking but she shut down all conversation and said it would be unsafe for me to pull over. Then she failed me for being unsafe because she said I was being an irresponsible driver. If you have Sarah dont even do the test go back in and ask for a refund before you start.
