Bought a 6' $100 tree infested with Aphids.
It's a good experience for the kids; great visit with Santa, face painting, hot chocolate, etc.but after a few weeks, our tree has hatched a whole colony of these little guys. They look like large ticks but with 6 legs and ooze purple slime when crushed. The tree was obviously not sprayed, which is unfortunate given the crazy price tag.

When the Aphids fall off the tree, they seem to land on their back and flail around, which makes them easy to suck up with the vacuum (hence 2 stars).

Tree will be coming down and burnt to the depths of capitalist hell come Boxing Day morning.

Come back for the experience, but not the trees.

We had the absolute pleasure of hosting our wedding ceremony and reception at drysdales tree farm this September (2023) and wow! What a venue! This was the first and only location we saw for wedding venues and we booked it on the same day. Talk about wow factor! The most common comment on our wedding day from the guests was about how beautiful and perfect a space it was for our special day! Kiera, Tara and Ava and the entire team at drysdales were so unbelievably helpful, responsive, friendly, accommodating and just amazing! Every tiny detail was remembered and executed perfectly. The ceremony site in the woods was so incredibly beautiful (and the fall colours put on a show and a half!), the grounds were stunning and the reception in the greenhouse with the million twinkle lights above us really made for such a unique and memorable night! The space was so generous for our 110 guests. We had the cute little train running rides for the kids (both big and small) and also the bonfire which the guests loved! We couldn’t recommend Drysdales more highly for your special event! 10 out of 10 and 5 starts! Not a single complaint! Thank you Drysdales (especially Kiera) for making our big day absolutely perfect!

I have never given any body a bad review but now I feel compelled to. Two years ago we purchased 2 trees in June from Drysdale tree farm, Because of Covid the trees were not planted until November. Coming out of the first winter neither one looked healthy. After numerous emails and site visit from Drysdale’s and several promises to replace them we now find them just not responding to us. Deeply disappointed in their service.

Best Christmas experience! I’ve been coming here with my family for 25 years! Our holiday tradition, always look forward coming up and spending time on the farm!

Absolutely lovely experience always. The price point is a bit high, but you're paying for the memories and experience, not just for the tree.:)

Prices start at $90 for trees up to 7', and go up from there. But they have any other free things added. There are rides for the kids, Santa is around, there was live music, and even santa! It's a great time for the family and friends. I strongly recommend make a whole event out of it when coming!

We love this place. We've been here countless of times. Always check out their shop for some unique and cool ornaments.

The Christmas Tree selection for cut your own tree on Dec 5th 2022 was TERRIBLE. I get it if it was mid to late December but this was the first Sat in Dec! There were no trees we could even “settle” on as anything that looked even partially full had 2 trunks all the way up the tree? This was our 1st time here and thought it might have been us - but that was NOT the case as All of the families (that rode the wagon out to the farm with us at that particular time) to select a tree - went back without one! We were all disappointed and had to go elsewhere.
31 December 2022 23:28
Very disappointed! The trees were sparse, rusty and small. We left without a tree even though we had driven o we an hour to get there.
27 December 2022 2:51
Walked around for 2 hours to find a tree a few weekends ago- they were all dying or they were growing 2 from one stump, it was a mess! And the lowest cost $90- I would have payed it if I was able to find a tree that wasn’t messed up
14 December 2022 16:33
Terrible experience very crowded no trees to select from all trees have already been cut by the farm that are good we’re told there are a few varieties but only had one kind to choose from the tree we did end up buying is terrible it’s tiny and has nothing to it for 90$ it’s a complete rip-off do not go there do not take your family and waste your time save your money
04 December 2022 3:51
My family having been going to Drysdale's for years and have always had a great time. But, these last couple of years the quality of the trees have gone down and this year there were a LOT of brown in the trees, it was next to impossible to find a really decent one. Plus, they have raised the prices considerably, the starting price is $90! Everyone around us was saying the same thing. I think next year we're going to try another farm.
10 June 2022 2:37
Meh place honestly.food was wayyy overpriced just to taste mediocre.trees are skimpy and i was stuck looking for a good one for hours.trees also overpriced? Went there for the easter event and was very disappointed.the eggs were scattered on the ground, not hidden, just lazily places in the grass.a tree almost fell on the train thing i was in, which wasn’t exactly their fault because it was a windy day, but it was a clearly rotten tree, shouldn’t they have known to cut a rotting tree down? I mean, they are a tree farm? !? The gift bags that they gave out were quite disappointing.doesn’t feel like a family farm but more of a business.not very welcoming.only reason i am giving them a 2/5 is because the greenhouse was quite pretty.the village was also cute and the store was decent.don’t exactly recommend, but if you want to, go there.its your money, i don’t really care
11 February 2022 22:05
If your ok with standing in line for hours to only discover a bunch of charlie brown Christmas trees then this is your spot. Brought to the same fields every year and they are all picked nothing but garbage left. Don't waste your time if your actually looking for a tree and not just the experience, major disappointment.
02 February 2022 1:12
Great place to go to cut your own tree and have "the full experience". Friendly staff, horse wagon ride, shop, cider, hot chocolate, poutine, just great!
01 February 2022 10:25
Always so much fun, the staff at Drysdale are simply put the best. So many people on the weekend and all the staff wanted to do is ensure everyone was enjoying themselves.
23 January 2022 22:19
We've been going to Drysdale's since I was a kid in the 1980s and I still love it today. Full disclosure: this year we found the prices were higher, and the selection was terrible. Having said that, unless you have your head buried in the sand, you would have known that this would be the case and I can certainly give them a pass.

If you want to avoid the long lines for the tractors (as we did) you can walk into the fields yourself. It's a bit of a pain, but you can get to an area of the farm that's far less busy and (in theory anyway) has better selection.
02 January 2022 14:52
Excellent experince of Christmas spirit. Beautiful tree farm with giant camp fire, wagon, fresh cut Christmas trees, food&drink and gift store.
10 December 2021 4:14
Terrible customer service, calls are not returned promptly. We had to find another vendor, very unreliable. My call was returned several weeks after my initial inquiry. When the owner returned my call he complained that he he is very busy.bad for business!
02 March 2021 1:51
Great place to go out and enjoy the beautiful nature, cut your Christmas tree and shop at the local store
19 February 2021 5:51
This is a great experience for getting your tree. I have been going there since I was a small child. My kids love it as well. Great entertainment and refreshments available. The sleigh rides are awesome. Good decorations too. All around and awesome place.
25 January 2021 18:52
A lovely place, but we went to go pick a Christmas tree, it was a major lunch bag let down. The little village and shop is cute, but the trees were tall, thin, sparse, or half dead. It looks like they just planted trees and walked away till they were tall enough to start asking for people to pay for them. They look like no one had pruned or cared for them. We walked most of the property and left empty handed because the trees were not worth the money. You'd have to pay me to take one of them. We ended up going to a local store and got the most glamorous tree there instead.
19 January 2021 14:26
A bit different this year because of Covid precautions but we found an awesome tree as usual. For our family, it's tradition!
01 January 2021 10:20
Fantastic tree farm. We go every year to get our Christmas trees. We like the tradition of finding our perfect tree and cutting it down!
05 December 2020 3:07
We have always enjoyed our annual Halloween tradition of travelling to Drysdale Tree Farm to experience their Psychopath and pick our pumpkins. The Psychopath is staffed by volunteers (except during the Pandemic where there actually isn't anyone on the trail to scare tourists). The Halloween experience is a 3 out of 5. This because Drysdales cannot rely on their volunteers to attend so on occassion there are only a few jump scares. In addition the themes could use some professional consulting to provide updates. I think all the proceeds go to charities so that is a 5 out of 5.

If you are considering planting some trees Drysdales is the place to go.
22 November 2020 1:30
We understand that due to Covid-19 things aren't going to be the same, but I feel there was very little effort to keep this place interesting for the kids. Very little to do.
04 September 2020 2:57
I have been holding out on making a post about this thinking this small business would realize how terrible this is and change their mind. However they have not after several attempts to reason with them.
Brad and I saved a lot of money and put life plans on hold to have the perfect wedding, but when covid hit it just was not possible.
When calling Drysdale's in Innisfil to cancel the venue they will not give our deposit back what so ever and have not been returning our calls. We got an email from them explaining that if we want to change the date we owe them another installment of money or we could have a wedding on a Tuesday or Wednesday.
If this is how small businesses choose to operate durning a pandemic I want everyone to know! I cant believe they took a lot of our wedding savings for a wedding we are not allowed to have.
28 August 2020 11:20
Horrible people to deal with. Never return calls. We bought 4 trees from them and 3 are dead. It’s an embarrassment to have them on my lawn. I had to give them one star or they would get a negative!
Save your money and go somewhere else! I don’t know how they are still in business.
02 August 2020 16:07
I keep see alot of posts from the weddings booked that you will not refund or even work with the customers. Bad for business in these small towns.
01 August 2020 15:41
We were having our wedding at drysdales this summer but due to COVID -19 we had to cancel as we had over 100 people. Drysdales was nothing but terrible to deal with we had called multiple times saying the owner would get back to us and never got a call back. We were told through email we needed to make another install of money durning a pandemic to book a new date or have our wedding on a Tuesday or wed. If you are thinking about having a wedding here DO NOT.

Buying trees from these guys is a really bad idea. Spent a lot of money only to have them die each year after following there instructions for watering/fertilizing them. They're under warranty but trying to get a hold of them to be replaced is next to impossible. If they say they're going to show up they usually don't. Spoke to multiple certified arborists in the area and they apparently have a reputation now of having diseased trees. They see the same situation as me all over Barrie & Innisfil. Stay Away.

We were suppose to use Drysdales as our wedding venue in June 2020. With COVID 19 we were devastated to have to cancel our planned wedding of 150 people. We can't express how frustrating and disheartening it was to deal with Drysdale's during this process. They were slow to respond to us, difficult to talk to, and did not understand or empathize with us at all, all they cared about was their bottom line. I understand this is a difficult time for businesses but Drysdales has many other sources of revenue outside of their wedding venue including a successful landscaping business and Christmas Trees they sell for $75 a pop. Their 'solution' to couples having to cancel their weddings was requesting an installment of 2 grand from us now to secure a 2021 date or book a Tuesday wedding. They refused to return our deposit even though legally they could not host our ceremony on the date of our contract- we would have been willing to meet in the middle but they would not even listen to our side. When talking to the owner he talked in circles and refused to admit that we may not be able to host our event, even when it was a month before when government restrictions were still at 5 people. Their true motives came out that they were only interested in things that would benefit them and their business even if it was screwing us over. We refuse to support this "family business" any further, as we would hope any true family business would be a little more empathetic to the situations of others during a difficult time.

I've personally been here more than a few times. Great place for kids, average place for adults.
11 February 2020 13:49
If could give no stars, I would.
Absolutely no tree selection as half the trees were dead. And VERY expensive. $70 for a tree. Left without a tree and went to Canadian tire and picked up a pre-cut.
Disappointed and won’t go back.
06 February 2020 6:36
Every year we go and cut down a tree. This year an illness has put me in a wheelchair so we purchased a precut tree. After just a few days the tree started to die. I sent them pictures requesting a new tree and was ignored. For us $70 for nothing is alot of money. My husband went out and got a tree at Zehrs and it was just lovely and very fresh. Thank you Zehrs! I put a review on Drysdale's site but it was never posted. Have a look. They only post good reviews. Shameful!

Very disappointed with my experience this year! Going and getting our tree as a family has been a tradition for years for us. Went there today was very upset with the trees they took us to, many people back on the tractor to leave with no tree.
The trees were all dead looking and terrible, it was like they didn't even take us to an actual lot just the middle of no where this year. Very disappointing, will be looking for another place to take this tradition for next year!
15 January 2020 12:26
Endless choice of Christmas Trees, all sort of variety. Plus the fun of choosing and cutting your own choice of tree. Lovely for families of all ages and composition in a Christmas atmosphere. For the sweet toothed or for the ornament aficionados, the store has all you want.
09 January 2020 8:08
Great place especially kid friendly, wagon rides, train ride, dog sleds, singing awesome experience!
04 March 2019 7:43
Love the activites and santa and store. Tree selection for cutting own tree is horrible. Most of the time the decent trees were multiple grown together. The fields dont seem to be cared for or trees shaped at all. What is worse is the the tree is literally shedding. Can't touch it or needles literally fall right off. Past 3 other years never had any issues woth needle retention. We care for the tree same way we did others. The others from previous years kept needles and even started getting buds.very disappointed this year especially for price.
29 December 2018 15:03
Nice farm, but be prepared for crowds. My only issue is that it took us over an hour in the field to find a nice tree. Doesn't seem like the trees are trimmed properly as they're growing so you'll find A LOT of odd ones (ex: multiple trees stemming from same trunk). Nice Christmas shop and good experience overall, just wouldn't go every year.
19 December 2018 19:55
Why this place isn't five star is beyond my reasoning. I don't normally leave a review but i am now scouring for why someone gave it a low rating so that i can slag them. Maybe i don't understand social media.

Went last weekend as we do every year in search of our yearly tree. As always it was bustling and the atmosphere was very festive. We took the tractor ride out and were dropped where there were no trees. After walking about for awhile we didn't find anything that wasn't half dead. And all the trees were of the same variety. I will say It was amusing to see some folks dragging back a yellowing brownish half bare tree that they were prepared to pay minimum $75 for. I guess they couldn't bear to leave without something after all that searching. Also the tractor ride back included complimentary second hand smoke from the tractor driver. Needless to say we went home empty handed only to find a gem called Laura's Christmas trees today. Highly recommend!
