Went in looking to buy a used pair of skates. Came out with a brand new set of skates molded for my feet for under a hundred bucks. Would go here again no hesitation.

If it’s hockey equipment you’re after, this is the place. For skates- look no further. Why? Great selection and excellent staff.

I’ve sharpened skates here before, but haven’t purchased until now. These are the first pair of skates I’ve bought in over 50 years, finally willing to put away my vintage blades.

The staff here ask all the right questions and then get right into it. Yea, I tried on several pairs, but the staff are super knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Couldn’t ask for more when making this kind of purchase. Thank you Owen and Nick for helping me out. It’s much appreciated.

I have been going to Dukes for well over 20 years from when the time my parents would buy my goalie equipment to when I started buying it on my own (makes you realize what they invest growing up!).

The whole team at Duke's is amazing and I have been seeing the same faces over the years which is a sign of a great business that cares about the staff and they will in turn care about the customers.

Huge thanks to Craig the goalie manager who has knowledge that is second to none and has always gone above and beyond to make sure I have the right equipment for my playing style!

This place has lost its focus. Absolutely the worst place to go if you need something. The employees are way over their heads with skate sharpening telling me pick up in 24 hours… multiple times now. I can say already that after 28 years of going to my local Dukes I won’t be returning.

Went in for a new pair of skates and the staff was great in suggesting a pair to fit my needs and budget. Didn’t try to upsell and made sure the skate made sense for what it would be used for.

Duke's has been an landmark for hockey in Etobicoke for years. You get great service, they take the time to fit your child for whatever equipment needed. Selection of product and pricing is on par with other superior retailers. Ask for Manny when you go in! Great guy.

Went there on a Tuesday aft.store was with no customers except for myself.wanted to get my skates sharpened. 2 guys behind the counter on their phones doing absolutely nothing told me I would have to leave skates and return in about 45 minutes.that is the poorest customer service I have ever seen.will never return there to purchase anything or for any other service. DIGUSTING

I took my 5-year-old daughter here to buy her first pair of skates and helmet. The customer service was superb, they were very accommodating and knowledgeable. The best part was that they gave my daughter a great experience buying her first pair of skates! They made her feel comfortable and excited throughout the whole process. They have been in business for over 50 years and you will understand why on your first visit.

Brought both my kids skates here today after a friend recommended. Was worried about taking one of the pairs as they are super nice skates but I could tell I was in good hands. Excellent service. Really friendly staff who knew what they were doing. Thanks guys, will be back!

Simply outstanding service - has been for years, and continues to be. I just purchased new Bauer skates today (during Covid) after checking out Pro Hockey Life, Sportchek, etc. Duke's is far and away, the better local choicie.

They price matched, and set me up outside with chair and carpet for trying on - then put skates and sharpened. Amazing service. Other retailers would not allow try on - had to pay (!) online, pick up and take home - and if wrong fit, no ability to exchange. Duke's wiped the floor with that BS.

I shopped at Duke's as a kid, for my kids when they played sports, and now I am back again. The best by far.

Was absolutely impressed with this place. Came to get two pairs of ice skates sharpened on a Saturday morning. The staff were absolutely friendly, and since this was my first time owning a pair of skates (bought second-hand elsewhere), the staff member chatted with me about how to care for them and keep them well maintained. No upselling, just sharing their expertise. They did a great job with the sharpening and it only cost me $9 for each pair. Will continue coming here for future sharpening.

Always helpful staff, always knowledgeable and above all, they make sure my kids are safe when they are out on the ice. Ensuring they have the right gear and the proper sizes can be daunting when you have three growing boys to worry about. I always feel like I'm in good hands at Dukes. They take the time to properly size and fit everything, and they even take the time to discuss how to properly maintain their equipment with them.

Great local skate sharpener. They fixed a horrible skate sharpening I had done at the pro shop inside the ford performance center. These guys care about your skates and the quality.

Nice store for everything Hockey and more. Manny was very friendly and knowledgeable with me buying a new pair of skates, I would definitely recommend this store to friend's and family. Staff here cares about your purchase, something you don't see very often. Will definitely be coming back.

Visiting from the States. Knowledge of the team here is way beyond what we can get back in Texas. So informative and helpful. We come every year for a summer hockey camp. I think we’ve found “our place” to annual restock on equipment. Can’t say enough good things.

Outstanding customer service. Staff never oversells but gets you set up in the equipment you actually need. Professional, polite, extremely knowledgeable. It’s always a great sign of a business when you recognize staff year after year and those staff members are equipped to handle both personal and team requirements. We’ve been loyal customer for 16 years.

I couldn't more highly recommend this place if I tried! Both my son and I have received excellence service and attention with all of our purchases. The staff are friendly and knowledgable and really know their stuff. You call tell they not only know Hockey, but clearly have played and have all the inside info on whats best for your kids and you! It is no surprise to have run into various OHL, CHL, and NHL players and their families at Dukes on a regular basis. Hey if they're bringing their families there, and trust the great staff at Dukes, then of course thats where I am doing all my hockey shopping for my son and myself.

Good selection but be careful when fitting. These guys are generally good at fitting skates, however they Fitted both my boys with skates way too big. Even after over 6 months of having skates too big, Ken did call me and had me in with my son to rectify the situation the best he could. They stand by the equipment that they sell and make sure that the customer is happy.

I'm a huge fan of Duke's Source For Sports. First of all, they offer that down to earth local hockey shop comfort that the big stores just don't offer. Every time I walk in there is someone from their team asking how they can help. If you are a goalie this store offers some really great advice and support. Most recently, I purchased new Bauer TUUK LS 5 Carbon Goalie Skate Blades. I knew I wanted to upgrade my blades but was not sure with all the options out there. They were great at providing me a couple great options and I ended up choosing these blades. My T-pushes, slide pushes and ability to cut and grip the ice have never been better and the durability of the blade has been fantastic (stays sharp for much longer). I highly recommend Duke's and they are great for both new to new beginner players and experts who want to fine tune their gear and get custom solutions. Thanks!

I admit, I fell into the big box store trap. I went to Sports Check first, went through all the hockey items we were looking for, but still I felt unsure. Then I went to Dukes and everything changed. The difference is the pride, the knowledge, the experience. Sports Check didn't even measure my son's feet properly. They were very accommodating and explained differences in equipment to us. Their pride on what they sell is everything to them. They never tried to push a higher costing brand to us. In the end, we discovered that the young man helping us actually plays in the OHL. What an amazing place! I hope people understand the difference because you will when you go there. Thanks guys!
