Dundas Euclid Animal Hospital

Went to this clinic and asked what the basic medical needs of my first kitten were and an estimate. They named about three or four things that cats need and the price with tax was around $200. So I brought her in and it came to a little over $200. Upon paying, they said I needed to come back after a certain number of weeks. I assumed it was to complete the procedures that I had paid for. So I came back and when leaving, they told me I had to pay another $300, and that I had to come again. I paid what they conned me out of and never went back. Very dishonest customer service.

Great staff: friendly, knowledgeable, responsive and accommodating. Nala (my 14-months old golden retriever) and I are very happy

Dr. Roman’s patience and genuine care for her clients is truly remarkable. I don’t know too many people who can tolerate my ignorance as a first-time pet/dog owner. Answered any and all questions I had, no matter how ridiculous or inane. Super thankful to have her as my pup’s vet! Also, shoutout to all the staff for always being helpful and welcoming!

Aswell as being kind and helpful they are very knowledgable. I bring both my cats to them and they are great with them. If I could five more than 5 stars I would.

The good, the bad, the ugly…

The good: If you are looking for a vet to do the standard normal things (vaccines), this is your place. The staff was able to help making appointments, and administering the vaccines, and a few members knew a lot of the ends and outs.

The bad: they never told us the full amounts we would need to pay. When we called and said we needed to have our dog get their annual vaccine, and it was their first time seeing the vet, they only mentioned a $125 fee, when checking out it shot up to $300-$400.

The ugly: it seemed every time i would begin the checkout process, i had to be rang up twice and be refunded. After the first mishap with this, the next time, i stood around a little longer and waiting to be called on to pay. Low and behold, once i paid, there was a problem, such as something not being added to my invoice. Its like no one was talking to each other.

Lastly, although the team collectively knew a lot, i had to multiple times verify information. I was also leaving the country, and asked about how they would send me the results of tests completed, i asked about which courier service would be used, so i could track the package, i was told they used Purolator, and could possibly get tracking. In the long run, the results were sent via canada post, and no tracking was available. I would have gladly gotten a prepaid envelope, to have the results shipped more securely.

Huge THANK YOU to Dundas Euclid Team, specially Dr. Rochford. Our puppy was sick for more than 1 week and after going to 2 other clinics, multiple tests with no answer/result we were advised to try this clinic. The staff was very friendly, listens to our concerns and kept us informed all the time. After bringing our dog back home he start eating right away and now, after 1 week, he is perfectly fine.
Thank you very much for helping our puppy. We will definitely return in the future and we will recommend this clinic to anyone who needs it.

I adopted my sweet little Jack in 2016 and he’s been with Dundas Euclid Vet ever since. They’ve been just the most wonderful over the years - everyone is so kind, gentle, thorough and patient. They always listen carefully and I never ever feel rushed or pressured. 10/10,5 stars, and 2 very enthusiastic thumbs up for DEAH?

Just switched the vet and felt the difference in first visit. I don't think my dog has ever received such a thorough exam by the vet.

Dundas Euclid has a formidable team. The entire staff is courteous and competent. And I trust my beloved Ruby with them completely.

The team here have been my 'family' vet through my first two cats and a dog, and now two kittens. I’ve been lucky to be going to them for over 20 years! They are so friendly, compassionate, kind and professional. Dr Asotra and the whole team always treat both me and my furry friends like members of their family, they take such good care and even though it's been a particularly busy few years for them, they never make me feel rushed or hurried when I have questions about their treatments. Awesome people, awesome with my pets!

I really like this vets office. I am always able to get an appointment within a reasonable time. The vets are thorough and always responsive. I am given options and I never feel pressured or like I'm getting a hard sell for any services.

I'll keep it short: I trust them with my cat. When he had surgery, they were quick to answer my questions and discuss my anxieties; they followed-up, and showed that they were here to help when I was worried.

I can't speak to whether it's cheaper or more expensive than other vets and I can't really make a point of comparison between other vets. But I will say that I've never worried about my cat while he's been in their care. And that's big for me.

Only thing that could dock them a star is that I really wish they'd let you go in with your pet during scheduled check-ups. I know and appreciate the caution they've taken during COVID but I hate leaving him alone in there. But I assume that's temporary, so I'll edit this back up to a 5.

Polite, accommodating as I am a person with a disability that uses a mobility device. Excellent work. We will be returning.

Dundas Euclid Animal Hospital is professional, friendly and reasonable price place to go for your pet! I feel confident to bring my MiMi there to have her check-up and vaccinations. I know she will be well care for!

I am very happy with everybody's role in the clinic. They are always gentle with the pets and owners. Like all vets, it is kind of expensive when vaccines and other health problems come up but we pay because we love our pets although sometimes we get frustrated with them

The entire team at Dundas Euclid Animal hospital have been consistently excellent! They are kind, detailed and respond right away when anything comes up for our pup. (Even on the weekends, even when they are busy!) They also have wonderful groomers that are just as excellent. Our golden doodle comes out happy every time! I also want to add that the groomer is so positive and kind and the whole process is STRESS FREE. She was away at one point and we had to use another groomer. We went to a “fancy” groomer on avenue road and they were horrible. Our dog was stressed, the environment was awful and they charged triple the price!

We’ve been coming here for a most 20 years with a cat, a rabbit and 2 dogs. There is no finer pet care in the city. Kind, professional and loving — and sensitive through the hard parts. And no medical mystery remains unsolved. They are a family. They give back to the community and are an essential part of the Trinity Bellwoods neighborhood. Our rescue dog Maddie is always happy visit — in fact she drags us there on walks! Derek Schreyer, Karen Troubetkoy and Maddie.

Melanie the "practice manager" is rude and thinks that sending passive aggressive emails asking for money. I have called to give in my credit card information and each time I do they don't answer or they are busy. Not my problem. Next time this clinic should think twice about how they speak to clients. Won't be returning here again.

The funny thing is, why were we even allowed to leave the clinic without paying? I never received the initial invoice, and was told MONTHS after that we had a balance. And then the phone tag began. Why don't you accept when you are wrong, instead of making you and your clinic look worse?

Another great experience at Dundas Euclid Animal Hospital. Staff are warm and professional and very patient. I appreciated our vet, Dr. Roman, taking the time to answer questions, explain options and being transparent about cost. We feel confident in the care our dog is receiving there.

They were amazing with my 9 month old “jumping bean” Tallie. As a new pet owner they were amazing with passing along information regarding my pups health and steps to take going forward. Happy to find such a great team for my fur baby?

The team at the clinic has been so supportive and compassionate while navigating a really difficult time with our aging pets.

Bringing my cat to this vet is always a smooth and quick experience. I like all the COVID-19 protocols they have in place, they make me feel comfortable and safe using their clinic during this time. Vets and staff are very friendly, and they love my cat!

The staff were very professional and extremely patient when it came to our cat Charlie who absolutely hates going in her crate and to the vet. They looked after Charlie really well. I would recommend this clinic for your pet.

Dr. Asotra and her team have always been very professional, thorough, and kind. My dog had a recurring issue that other vets weren’t able to identify. Dr. Asotra provided more thorough testing and was able to get to the root of the issue so we could properly address it. I always feel like my dog is in good hands when he goes for a visit. I like that there is the drop-off option for appointments and the communication is always great.

I have been coming here for over 20 years. I would not trust my animals with any other clinic. Staff throughout the years have taken such care, even nick named my fur babies as if they were their own, even though 2 have been rather vicious during visits they always find a way to make the visit as least traumatic as possible which gives us peace of mind. I was pretty nervous and was wrecked with guilt because my adorable little cockapoo got pretty matted. They both made me feel confident they could help and were super nice. They did an AMAZING job! I will most certainly be back.and sooner this time;)

I have been bringing my cat here for the last 17 years. DEAH has always treated us as part of the family. Taking extra time to make sure She's getting the proper treatment. We always work together to come up with the most reasonable solution to any of my pets needs. All of the staff at Dundas Euclid care so deeply about the well-being of every pet that walks through their doors. I can't imagine taking my handful of a dog anywhere else. She is extremely fearful at the vet and becomes aggressive. They always handle her with such care taking the best precautions to make her visit as stress free as possible on both her and the staff. Knowing she is being cared by from them relieves so much stress I have since she is in such good hands! Akira says thank you to everyone, although she doesn't always show it!

I find this veterinarian excellent. My dog has had two recent health issues. The doctor always takes time to explain what is happening in great detail. It is very important for me to know not only the reason why my dog is encountering health issues but also a good plan of action. The staff is caring and accommodating.

They were amazing! My dog Miley didn't want to leave when I came to pick her up, she was loved by everyone working there and was sent home with an adorable care package! Great choice for a first time pet owner.

Our cat Maddie was quite lethargic and not herself. We called the clinic and at first the only appointment was a few days away. About an hour later we got a call to say they were concerned as she is quite an old girl and could we bring her down in an hour. In less than 24 hours we had a diagnosis and she was given a shot of antibiotics good for two weeks. The doctor called a couple of times with detailed explanations of what was going on. She was back to herself almost immediately, purring and growling at the same time.

I've been taking my dog Wally here for five years now and only have good things to say! All of the vets are incredible and always listen to my concerns and patiently answer my questions. I appreciate their transparency with cost, and they always make treatment recommendations informed by what's best for Wally.

Our puppy was quite sick at one point, and the Dundas Euclid Vets offered wonderful care, with prompt communication and sincere concern. Our little girl ultimately needed emergency surgery and (thankfully) made a quick recovery, and is still always happy to see her friends at Dundas Euclid.

DEAH is THE BEST! They have helped us navigate a difficult path with our French Bulldog, Gordie. Gordie was diagnosed with epilepsy at 6 months old, and continues to have regular seizures today - we know he would not have made it this far without the love and kindness of the DEAH team. Happy to report he’s now 4 years old, and as happy as can be - his seizures are well controlled and we know the DEAH team is a call or email away should we ever have any concerns. Thank you all for the work you do!

Dundas Euclid Animal Hospital has been great. The staff are kind, caring and thorough - very professional. We have had our two senior cats afflicted with thyroid and kidney problems cared for by this clinic. They were also mindful of our budget constraints and gave us realistic and constructive options of humane care for our beloved pets. They both lived close to twenty years of age, a very respectable age for cats, and shared many happy memories. We now have two kittens and have been well cared for by the clinic with routine vaccinations and spaying. I highly recommend them.

I felt completely comfortable leaving them with my kitten Zizo because they made me feel that he was in safe hands. The stuff we’re very friendly and really loved Zizo, almost as much as I love him

They are fast and reliable. They care for my cat and have helped me make dietary changes for her that have saved her life. I have been with Dundas Euclid Animal Hospital for so many years that they all know my pets as if it was there own. The workers are friendly, professional and hard workers. Every time I bring in my dog "Paco" they know him so well and he knows them and that makes for a better appointment. The doctors are fantastic! They always take the best care of my paco. I have had to bring my dog to the vet a few times since I've had him, and I am always impressed with the care he receives at the Dundas Euclid Vet Clinic. I had a minor emergency situation recently and they were able to get him in and address his issues quickly and effectively. 10/10

I adopted my first dog last year, and spent some time talking to other pet owners and reading reviews before I decided on Dundas Euclid Animal Hospital as our vet. The staff and vets are wonderful and explain all the tests/meds they recommend for my dog (and tell me the cost before they do them!) My dog is very anxious around people he doesn't know, but they make him feel very secure when he's there. Love this vet clinic and would highly recommend!

While I've been bringing my pets here for almost 15 years, recently there's been a high turnover in staff and most of the familiar faces are gone - -and the new front desk staff seems to care FAR less. They've forgotten to order food/meds (I've been waiting almost two months and have had to source specialty food from other vets in the meantime), and are essentially impersonal and dismissive.
I miss the old, friendly team who knew us/our pets by name, and seemed to genuinely care about them. Dr. Barrientos (who is the BEST vet ever!) hasn't been there in ages, and when asked about him, the staff gives evasive answers that indicate he might not be returning anytime soon. I'm not even sure he is still the owner. And the wait for appts with Dr. Asotra, the only other vet that knows my animals' history, is sometimes several weeks to a month - far too long a wait when your animal has serious health issues.
It's gotten bad enough that I'm considering looking for a new vet's office, which is pretty upsetting given that I've trusted DEAH for over a decade.

I have been going to Dundas Euclid Animal Hospital for the past six years. They have always been responsive to my requests for my dog, Willie. He is usually seen by Dr. Asotra. I have confidence her abilities as a veterinarian and she has been knowlegeable, kind and compassionate.

In addition to the veterinary services, I have Willie groomed there. The groomer, Sharon, does an exceptional job of grooming.

All the other people who work there have been kind and have treated Willie and me with respect and dignity.

I would not hesitate to recommend Dundas Euclid Animal Hospital to pet owners.

I recently had my very furry Husky groomed here and they did an amazing job! Her fur was so dense and hot looking before they groomed her and now she looks ready for the warmer weather.and so clean!

This was our first visit and everyone was so kind and caring.our adopted cat needs to have some very significant dental work done, and the vet was very transparent with all of the costs, and did not pressure us to make a quick decision. They provided us with a very thorough estimate so that we could make an informed and timely decision about our next steps. Thank you!

Dundas Euclid Animal hospital is the best place to go. They give all the attention to our pets, they are always there when we have concerns and give great advice. I have 2 pets now (lost 1 3 months ago of old age) and they all go there, 17 years of great experience!

I came to this clinic after having a mediocre experience elsewhere and Dr. Asotra was amazing with my little fur baby! She was very patient and detailed when we spoke on the phone and definitely helped to reassure me throughout the whole process.

Although my dog does not like going to the vet's because he knows it's for a check up, he does enjoy how the staff try to win him over by letting him sniff things out first then provide him with a treat. The staff are friendly, very efficient and know what they're doing. I know my 13-yr old Maltese is in safe hands with Dr. Asotra. She provides me with plenty of feedback after his annual visits.she patiently answers all my questions and concerns. Sometimes when I don't get it, she'll re-phrase her answers until I understand. I like that she is able to suggest different choices I can make in maintaining Alfie's health and then outlines the possible outcomes of each. I trust her judgment because I feel that she is a very knowledgeable and caring doctor for my little friend.

On April 23,2021, Mylo had his teeth cleaned at DEAH. Once again, he was taken great care from start to finish. We had gotten a follow-up call the next day from DEAH just to ensure Mylo was back to normal after his cleaning. The teeth look great and thank you!

They were quick and efficient. I really felt that they cared about my dearest Hesus. I felt the vet was trying to save me money and not encourage me to wastefully spend on things that were not needed. 100% recommend!

I was really worried about taking my dog to the vet with covid restrictions, because I knew I wouldn't be allowed to go in to the exam room with her and she is so scared when at the vet. The staff were so kind and understanding and really made me feel reassured that they would take good care of her. Dr. Asotra called me after the exam was complete and was really thorough in describing how it went, so I did not feel that I had really missed anything by not being there. She told me that they could see my dog was really nervous so took the exam nice and slow, which I really appreciated. They made a stressful experience so much better.
