A ‘dentist’ who prefers to think of himself as a ‘businessman’
My last 2 appointments he was in a ‘business meeting’ and was not available for my appointment. No advance notice.
It’s clear where his priorities are.
I have lost all trust in this ‘businessman/dentist’. Would not recommend. Steer clear!

Had so many issues with billing (took 3 weeks to sort it out), there is no free parking for patients, and even the hygienist told me the dentist is too busy to see all of his patients (shoutout to the hygienist for their honesty). Tried to sell me on everything that I don’t actually need, (Invisalign, TMJ, night-guard…) I felt like they just wanted to bill my insurance. Yes the location is convenient for me, but I will be looking for a different dental office in Dundas/west Hamilton.

Steer clear of this dentist!
Many billing issues, issues with dental work, staff that don't know what they are doing, even leaving this office for a new one was a problem. Multiple requests for records were ignored.

Excellent customer service from the front desk and hygienist. I’ve been a patient since it opened. They really are focused on providing the best service and professionalism one can expect. Easy to work with making appointments as convenient as possible.

New hygeinist every time I go. The front desk are polite and kind but always seem disgruntled/dissatisfied with working conditions
Pricy~ almost $100 more than my husband pays at his dentist for a cleaning.

Worst place to work! Beware of this place. The staff name Kayla and the manager name Pooja is very rude! They make fun of temporary staff and harass me at front desk.
They will post a shift then tell you yo do sterilization and cleaning for the whole day because dentist have his own assistant to assist.

Question? Why the position was created when clinic already their favourite people to work with them.
Let me remind one thing, that they know very well, that sterilization is the part of assisting (level 2) not the whole job. There are different name for the position that do it which is known as “floater”
I didn't graduate to do only sterilization in an office for whole day and cleaning preparing room.
This office wasted my day, I would have picked up another office instead of coming here.
Plus I travelled for 1.5 hour for the work (one way) and after 10 mins they told me to leave. Also they told me that we are paying you good, so it doesn’t matter what you are doing
Being level 2 assistant from 8 years i know my duties very well and assistant deserves respect at work as well.
You could have simply post about floater why scam temp assistant plus when i was clearing my doubts you started harassing me.

After TWICE agreeing to change appointment times to suit the dentist’s schedule, arrived at his office on-time today to be told by his mortified staff that he had “left for an important business meeting” and “wasn’t able” to do my procedure. Now in search of a dentist that puts his patients ahead of his business dealings.

Used to be a great place to go to. Now your calls don't get returned, your appointments get cancelled or the dentist has already left by your appointment time. Beyond frustrated.

** waiting for a reschedule ** not only did the office call me back to apologize, but the dentist reached out himself as well. Giving 1 more chance as life does happen sometimes, and he used to be awesome.

I recommend this dental clinic as the dentists are vey knowledgeable and the staff are very professional

Staff advised me of benefits that I had that I was told by other offices that were not. They were gentle, kind, and compassionate. I’ve been a patient for a year now and would highly recommend. My teeth look great too!

Doc Shankman has been our family dentist for over 15 years. We trust him with all our dental work as he's a great technician.but also personable and easy to work with. He's approachable and gladly explains what dental work you could use and how he is going to do it.

Dr. Shankman and his staff are amazing! I had an emergency dental problem. Dr. Shankman responded immediately and saw me right away. He treated the infection and determined the root cause. Resolving the issue so quickly. He's very gentle and calm. I didn't feel a thing. The best dentist, hands down! Thank you for all of your hard work.
