I woke up with no heat I selected Dunn based on some reviews, and the fact that had heard of them -radio advertising still works! They sent a technician the same day who got the furnace working and ordered replacement parts. An appointment was booked for the next day to fit them. The parts did not arrive on time and there was miscommunication about moving the appointment to the day after. I called and spoke to Paul. He genuinely seemed concerned and wanted to put things right.
The parts arrived and were installed quickly and the technician left with the heating working. Overnight it stopped again. I called Dunn and they arranged for a technician to call (this was on the weekend and there was a snow storm). He rechecked everything, and found a small problem with the new pressure switch. He got it working and stayed around for 45 minutes to make sure it kept working.
It was my first time calling a heating company but I’m glad I called Dunn. Gary and David are exactly the kind of people I was looking for: seasoned professionals who have a wealth of experience and take pride in their work.

I had amazing service on Friday night. Our furnace stopped working during the snowstorm and we scrambled to find a 24/7 service to help us. I called around 1130 and Brad came to our rescue. He walked me through a number of steps and before I knew it, we had the furnace up and running again. From start to finish, inside & outside, the installation of our new Lennox system was excellent. The techs were friendly, professional, neat, & tidy. They provided expert answers to our questions & ensured we had a clear understanding on how to program & operate our display & furnace settings. Upon leaving we were quite comfortable about operating our new furnace; our original system lasted 25 years & we look forward to the same again. This is a revised review.

First, the good news: Right Line - Dunn admitted full responsibility for our dissatisfaction. After 2 failed heat pumps and 1 over-sized air conditioning unit, a new A/C unit was installed on July 17,2023,8 months after the initial installation of a furnace and heat pump system. Thanks to technicians Mike and Ethan for their empathy, professionalism and workmanship.

Financial compensation of approximately $4,000.00, given a time line of 3-4 weeks, was received on September 27,2023,10 weeks and 6 days after this agreement was reached.

Next, the bad news:
10 months of emails, lack of response and failure to follow through made for the worst consumer experience we have ever encountered.

Moving forward, it is our sincere hope that Right Line, in particular, the management team at Right Line - Dunn, will be able to restore the positive customer service, respect and quality workmanship enjoyed by clients of the formerly family-owned Dunn Heating and Air Conditioning.

Excellent repair man, courteous and efficient. Management of appointment not good at all. Twice I had an appointment and no one came. I had to call and complain. Dealing with your call centre was not a positive experience as each time I called I had to repeat my concerns again and again.

A special thanks to Randy, He has been servicing our furnace, gas fireplace and air conditioning for approx. 10 years, He is extremely competent, friendly and professional. Thank you for your service.

I have a system (Lennox gas furnace and central air) in my home that Dunn installed approx. 9 years ago. They have provided expert and efficient service each time I have called. From maintenance and cleaning to troubleshooting a sensor failure to completing a warranty repair on the inducer/ventor assembly - it was all done promptly and cost effectively. I will not hesitate to call Dunn again and highly recommend their service.

We have been using the services of Dunn for more than 20 years! They are our "go to" service provider for anything related to heating and air conditioning in our home. We have always found their services to be of top notch quality with good value for our money. As well as first line installation being great, we have also found that, the very few times we have needed to have something fixed that that too has been great! We would highly recommend Dunn for your heating and air conditioning needs.they have been in business a long time, they employ people who are professional, respectful, knowledgeable and informative. We don't shop around, we call Dunn!

Technicians arrived early in the timeframe provided and did a thorough job of cleaning our furnace and replacing the humidifier pad. Our furnace is located in the same area as the laundry so we have it cleaned every year due to fibres in the air from laundry. Dunn does a great job and we highly recommend them.

Can't say enough about the great service, with a young infant at home they understood the urgency to get our heating system up and running ASAP.

We have been dealing with Dunn Heating since we moved to Kitchener over 30 years ago. This time, we replaced our furnace (for the second time with Dunn). They were very responsive, prompt, professional, and we got exactly what we wanted. We signed the contract on Monday, and the furnace was installed the following Friday. We would highly recommend them. We've never been disappointed.

We have used Dunn for years in our previous home and this one. They were here promptly and unfortunately found the 6 year old furnace installed just before we purchase was not safe, not worth fixing and had to be shut down. Luckily they had what we wanted in stock and were back in less than 2 days to install our new furnace.
The installers did a great job protecting our floors and they left the furnace room in a great condition.

I woke up on Dec 1 2022 and had no heat. I called Dunn Heating and left a voicemail. Ten minutes later Mike called and said he would get a service man out as soon as possible. He called me back to tell me Randy would be over within 2 hours. Randy showed up and got my furnace working. I had heat but needed a part, he said he would be back the next day. Mike called me to say Randy would install the part early the next day. Which he did. That’s what I call great customer service. Thanks Mike and Randy

I had a new furnace and heat pump installed a few days ago. The installers arrived promptly and were very professional. They checked with me before proceeding on things and answered my questions thoroughly. I have dealt with Dunn Heating for many years and I trust them in dealing with my Heating and A/C needs.

I had called Dunn for an inspection on my furnace to confirm the repairs needed as advised by another company (which was explained during my initial call). The date was planned around the technician already being in my area. The technician came by, took one look at the paper left by the other company's technician and immediately referred me to sales and left. No inspection or service was performed and the technician was there for 30 SECONDS. I had their Sales rep come out and give a quote which was $1300 higher than the competition. Only to then threaten me with a bill for the "Inspection" that never happened if I didn't choose them. Obviously I went with the other company and now I am stuck with a $130 bill for the so called inspection.

(I have now been told I will be receiving the $130 back)

Highly recommended. The same family still owns Dunn since having them install the 1st AC unit here over 18yrs ago. Extremely thorough, professional, attentive, courteous, pleasant to deal with, and very responsive in coming to assess right away on a Friday, and book me in right away that Monday for a full replacement install. Both my interior and exterior were clean and free of debris throughout the process. Couldn’t ask for a better company! Highly trustworthy since the start years ago, to this week’s service. Especially in this day & age where so many companies and contractors just come, do a sub par job, charge triple, and cause mess and a chaotic stressful experience. Been there too many times. Grant and Alec showed up right on time protected the work and access floors, asked our preference on a couple of items and started work one dismantling the old unit and the the other unloading and preparing the new furnace. The project progressed rapidly with very few hitches and when complete we were instructed on the use of the new smart thermostat and any questions we had were answered. The finished job was very professionally done and everything was cleaned up, we are very pleased with the outcome. Well Dunn guys

Scam artist Dave will make up infractions that's aren't anywhere to be found in the code book, guys like this give honest contractors a bad name

Dunn Heating and Climate Care have knowledgeable technicians and a straightforward, no nonsense sales department. All my questions were answered promptly and in great detail. Installers have been consistently prompt, professional, personable, and polite. I highly recommend this company and its service providers.

The day after Christmas 2021, our old furnace finally (unexpectedly) died. We started smelling an awkward smell outside the home, then slowly, the thermostat power cut. It was freezing in our home, and we had to get heat inside quickly! After just a few days, temperatures dropped to nearly 13 degrees C, and we had a problem. I saw a sticker on my furnace from the Dunn team. Our previous homeowners must have used them, so I've been using them since (4+ years now). Dunn sent a repair expert over the same day and then a sales rep to help us select the best replacement. Within a short period, they did the furnace installation SO FAST. We've been so happy to have a warm home again. I've since called Dunn for every problem - water leaks with my old AC, etc. They're always responsive, friendly, and on the ball. We highly recommend them for Kitchener/Waterloo residents.

Nothing worse than an A/C malfunction during a heat wave. Luckily the fellas from Dunn got me up and running with a new system within a day of my initial call. Also used them to replace my furnace at the same time. Knowledgable, helpful, polite - I wont hesitate to use them again for any future HVAC needs.

Dunn's replaced our 25 year old furnace. We asked for other quotes from local companies and Dunn's gave us better information and recommendations on what we needed. Rather than the up sell I was expecting, they informed us on what we needed and where we could save $. Professional installation - its great to see experienced techs at work. I would have given 5 stars but we are still in the furnace break in period.

Had an issue with my a/c in the house and called them Monday and being so busy as they are they came at 8 AM on Tuesday and fixed my problem. Usually it takes 2-3 days from other companies. I highly recommend them to anyone as they are very professional and courteous. I purchased my a/c unit and new furnace from them years ago.

I had a client who needed a new AC fast in order to close the sale of their home. These guys got'r DUNN! They were very responsive, reliable and professional and know their stuff. Would highly recommend.

One of their employees driving a white truck hit my car door and left a mark. Only white vehicle that was parked beside me and they chipped my paint and their truck left a paint mark as well.

They said it would take one or two weeks to get the furnace and AC. They called Thursday, one week less a day after I signed the agreement and booked the installation for the following Monday. Ten days including two weekends. They said they'd arrive about 9 am. They arrived a little before 8: 30. They put down cloths from the door to the furnace room and went to work. They explained the thermostat, etc.to me. They were professional, friendly and courteous. They were done by 4. Haven't had it long enough to comment on the quality other than to say that we're in a serious heat wave and the AC is keeping the house much cooler than the old one ever did and it is very quiet.

I never give 5 stars but they impressed me too much to only give them 4.

Our old air conditioner broke down late afternoon on a very hot day. Dunn responded immediately to diagnose and was able to install a new Carrier system in less than 24 hours. Experienced, professional installers completed the job. Have used this company before with good results and will continue to do so.

I used them before and they were great! A couple years later (today) I called and they gave me some tips before coming out. The tips worked so apt.avoided. Great company!

I had a new heating/ airco installed.
The sales rep gave me propper and extensive info.
Warned me about possible issues that could arise during installation (unlike other companies that never mentioned anything).
Their information was clear: model and types etc.
With other companies I could not find specifics on types / models.
I did not feel pressured.
The installation was in a timely manner and the guys were professional, fast and polite.
I was explained the system.
The price compared very well with other offers, but I believe I got much better system.
Dunn has done repairs for me in the past, and is a very reliable company!

The salesman said it would be an easy A/C install. The installer said something else as the salesman missed that it could not be installed the way he thought. The installer went out of his way to figure out how it could be installed and got it in. The A/C works great and the process went well even though it could have been a problem.

I had Dunn replace my furnace and A/C 9 years ago and the thermostat went on me two weeks ago on a Sunday. They gave me the option of a emergency call or leave it until the next day. I waited due to the cost and they had it replaced by noon the next day. They provided me with options in pricing which I appreciate. They were courteous and professional on both occasions. I will not hesitate to call them in the future.

Given covid-19 constraints I was even more impressed than usual. Started right on time in the AM; done within about 2.5 hours - that's efficient, given they had to replace a 20 year old machine and upgrade the infrastructure a bit. Estimate was spot on and it was done without any wasted time or motion. When they needed a part (the pandemic meant we could not do as much pre-work as usual), they were prepped and had staff ready to modify and bring it - really great teamwork with plenty of staff to get the job done right.

We recently had Dunn replace our aging gas furnace (and for which they have provided excellent service on for many years). Sales consultation was quick, smooth and professional. Install was on time, and well done. All the people we dealt with were great and we are very happy with the product.

As a result of new furnace installation a small natural gas leak occurred.
I failed to detect it for quite a while although there was a slight odour.
Finally noticed by an electrical repairman from another company as he entered our basement.
Called Dunn and repair was completed quickly.
Phoned their service department asking how this could happen. Told small leaks are not uncommon.
Asked service rep if there is a natural gas alarm available that could be purchased.
He said natural gas alarms are not made. Detection is by smell.
I looked up on Amazon and there are numerous alarms for natural gas available both battery and hard wire powered from $25 and up.
Why would I be told this?
I needed reassurance and did not get it.

My wife and I live in a house built in 1896. So taking out the old furnace and installing a new one in a more convenient location was a challenge involving some pretty fancy footwork. The result is awesome. The quality of the work is first rate. We try to support local businesses. We chose Dunn because it is a family owned, local business with a good reputation.
