Dupont Heating & Air Conditioning

I have used Dupont in the past for furnace and hot water tank repairs and been very satisfied with their efficiency and quality, but my most recent experience with them was unfortunately not positive. Lots of changing appointment times - they seemed very disorganized. Then the technician recommended all sorts of work that wasn't really necessary (as I found out later). They said they needed parts and said they would come the next day (leaving me without heat), then cancelled. When I complained, they agreed to come but said the job would take much longer - five hours! As well, the technician did not seem to take the time to figure out how my system worked. I cancelled the call and went with another company, and am very glad I did. I won't be using them again.

Technician was very efficient and courteous and called before arriving. We are pleased with how the furnace cleaning was performed. We have used Dupont for all our home heating needs and have always found they provide first class service. We highly recommend them.

My furnace broke immediately after it was said to be fixed. A second diagnostic was done and no one followed up with a quote or diagnosis. I called to see what happened a week later and they said they forgot to call. Sorry. They mentioned the second diagnostic would be free since they had just fixed my furnace. When I called they sent me a a quote and an invoice for the diagnostic they said would be free. If I ran my business like this I’d be broke

We just got our new AC Carrier unit installed today and my wife & I are very happy with the work Delroy & Andy did. They were both knowledgeable, courteous and efficient. The installation was done perfectly. We would definitely recommend Dupont Heating & Air Conditioning!

I found the whole experience to be a sales pitch. They cancelled last minute, then showed up late. They couldn’t tell me what exactly the problem was. They gave me some expensive options, told me there was no guarantee that my furnace would work. Instead they told me I would probably need a brand new furnace (my furnace is 4 years old). Charged me over 300 for 30 min “diagnostic”. I called LAIRD AND SON HEATING, They found the problem Right away. Problem was fixed in under half an hour. Charged me a lot less. When I told the guys what Dupont Heating and Air Condition told me, they laughed and said “yeah that seems to be the consistent story with them”. Don’t waste your time. The office staff are also unorganized and rude. Smh.

Highly recommend Dupont Heating. I also recommend the two associates who installed the air conditioning unit, Numan and Raza.

We contacted them to inspect our air conditioning system in our condo because our tenant said that it stopped working. They went and got it to turn on again and said that the problem was the fan motor. We paid $200+ for the inspection, which was average cost for inspection. Two days later, they sent an estimate for a new fan motor. The invoice stated $900+ for the piece and $200+ for the installation. It would cost us almost $1500 including the initial inspection. We felt as though that was quite expensive, so we then contacted another company affiliated with our building (they had been unavailable to go the day our tenant encouraged us to call). They went two days later and said that it wasn't the fan motor but instead the capacitor, which cost $95. In total we owed the other company $250 (piece and labour costs). Dupont Heating and Air charged us $1,200. $1000 more than what it should have cost. They diagnosed the problem incorrectly and they overcharged.

We have worked with Dupont for years and have never been disappointed. They are responsive and courteous and take their time to walk through any new process. The crews are always friendly and the work is excellent. We have even had other service providers positively comment on the work they see has been completed in our building by Dupont - a testament to their work! I would definitely recommend them.

Got an older and neglected split AC serviced. Jun was great and communicative and walked me through the work he was performing. Very happy with the service, thank you!

DUPONT HEATING was excellent when my furnace totally broke on the coldest night of the year. I phoned Sam and Aman on Friday night and by Sunday a new furnace and thermostat were perfectly in place. Everyone was splendid in every way.

Dupont Heating and AC have been a great support for my home. They are friendly, responsive, and communicate clearly. They walk me through options and have been very easy to work with. They installed a combi boiler that also heats the basement.

I have to say that the service of Dupont has been AMAZING. First Louie and then Chris were fantastic in the purchase and installation of our new furnace and thermostat. When my Carrier Electric Furnace was having issues, Dupont was the only team who could diagnose the issue (I tried several). They promptly ordered new parts and Sam, an experienced technician, repaired it without issue. Communication was prompt and clear throughout, and costs were transparent and fair.

Louie et al installed our Boiler and Water Heater many years ago. We had regular servicing with very little change to the $ rate as the years went by. We have since replaced our water heater and our boiler required a new pump. Consistent loyal friendly service throughout, that kept us confident we were in professional hands. Today Louie came to my rescue. I had mistakenly put a 'hold' on a low temperature.so I thought the boiler was not working, as I was unable to raise the temperature. After quickly discovering my mistake, he became aware some of the rads had not been bled. Sensing he would make my life easier, he did this for me. So not only a gracious response to my mistake, I also got a helping hand along with a 'no charge' visit. Obviously a company where loyalty and respect, as indicated by Amanda at the front 'desk' for many years, are also part of their service mission.

I have had the pleasure of engaging Dupont Heating and A/C to do my work on two homes that I own in Toronto over the past almost 20 years. Whether it was the installation of a new boiler, rad and A/C system, or maintenance or repair of an existing forced air furnace or installation of new air conditioning systems, all work was done to great satisfaction. Without a doubt, their service is impeccable, pricing fair and competitive and true to their word they show up when they say they will and always when you need them. Mario and staff are efficient, knowledgeable and operate like a well serviced system, themselves. I recommend them highly and, unhesitatingly, all the time.

We had an emergency situation with a leak in our attic forced air furnace, which was leaking through the ceiling. Dupont was super responsive and had us back up and running same day. The technician, Sathanantham, was not only outstanding, but personable and professional. Thankfully I don't need AC/Heating services very often, but experiences like this most recent one remind me why I have relied on Mario and his team at Dupont since I bought my first house 22 years ago. Great quality and experienced technicians that know the furnace, heating and A/C systems. I had a inducer motor replaced in my furnace, Jun the technician was able to get the replacement motor and replaced it the same day. The tenants at the building were super happy to have the heat back on during the winter.

We have received service from Dupont in the past. Five years ago, they installed our furnace (boiler system) and everything ran smoothly. Then we had a heated floor installed in our basement and required hook up to our boiler system. This cause some problems co-ordinating the two systems but Dupont did not give up. They were responsive when our furnace shut down a few times and stayed with us until the problem was solved and the heated floor fully functionning. We had a positive experience with every level of staff.

We had several problems with our boiler that required a few visits from technicians, once on New Years Day and once on Family Day. The technicians were always punctual and professional, and I appreciate the holiday service. Everything was well coordinated between the office, the technicians and us.

Swift response and knowledgeable service: solved a problem in 30 minutes that had stymied another HVAC company for six days…no joke in late January. If you have no heat, they take it seriously: someone was at my house, after hours, within 45 minutes of my original call.

Our furnace went down just as the temperature dipped. They were able to come same day and get us diagnosed for a new furnace. They were also able to provide heaters for us so that we could stay warm for the next day's installation. Great service and attitude, as well as being punctual which is not always the case with technicians. Mario provided excellent white glove service by coming later in the night to help resolve an electrical issue when he did not have to. Much appreciated in helping keep our family warm as the temperature got to -20 over night! Thank you guys so much, highly recommended.
